@JoMunson wow 5oz! Sounds like you had a long night, hope you got some rest. DS did sleep a 4 hour stretch last night but the night before woke up more than usual so we will see if this is his transition to long stretches!
Was up last night from 3-6....still the grunting/crying/yelling. I finally went & got the Windi (after a horrendous half hour car ride with both kids screaming)...& it is incredible!!!! She passed gas & pooped right away. That calmed her down & now shes laying next to me farting away lol. Thanks @kbrands7 for mentioning it! (I need to keep up with these threads!!) The real test will be tonight!
@ncm0328 how is your little one doing now? I do still think some of her problems come from me having dairy. After she started pooping again, it was the mucousy type that you were talking about. I haven't been super diligent about cutting it-- I'm thinking maybe I should. But how?! There's dairy in everything! lol-- Do you meal prep? Or are there any sites that have helped with recipes?
@kami09 I don't meal prep, I should though! I've just been eating the things I usually do, just eliminating cheese since that's the hardest change, and subbing coconut milk yogurt, creamer, etc in place of my Greek yogurt and reduced fat milk. I eat oatmeal in the morning with dried fruit, brown sugar, and nuts and then have been eating a lot of tuna sandwiches and pb&j for lunch. I'll make or order a pizza with no cheese (and surprisingly it's better than it sounds!). Grocery store trips just take forever since you literally have to read every single label for hidden milk products!
DD is still SUPER gassy and has developed this light and dry rash on her cheeks, still has mucusy poops every once in awhile. We tried the windi too and sometimes it works and others it doesn't so I'm pretty sure her belly is still upset from something I'm eating. I have been eating tons of peanut butter since I cut out dairy and soy and my protein options that are easy to grab and eat are limited and I'm thinking I need to cut out peanuts or nuts all together and see if several weeks of that clear this rash and mucus poops up.
The 6 week whatever (growth spurt? Sleep regression? Torture chamber?) is absolutely killing me. DS is back to nursing every hour to two hours (had been closer to 3-4 hours) and won't sleep for more than 30-45 min at a time unless I'm holding him. He had been doing 3-4 hour stretches at this best. DH has not been very helpful except to let me sleep for an hour or so in the mornings before he goes to work. He thinks we should let him self soothe more which clearly isn't happening. Someone please tell me it gets better!
@babyfmama It gets better! The first few months there are more frequent leaps, growth spurts, and regressions which can be frustrating when you've gotten into a routine previously. Just ride it out!
@babyfmama We just got out of that spurt/leap. It was awful, but I swear our baby grew 2 inches longer overnight and looks more baby than newborn now. So try and think about how cool it is on the other side to see how big and how much more aware your baby will be!

Everyone is asleep. I'm awake because the carbon monoxide detector started 5beep chirping (the machine is dying). The noise is keeping me up, and the thought that co may not be detected on our main floor if it's present while we're sleeping sets my anxiety into motion. I told DH this and he rolled over and went back to sleep. Thanks, dude.
My little girl normally gets up at 5 and goes back to bed after eating. Not this morning. She woke at 2:30am ate, pooped and peed twice and now she is bright eyed and bushy tailed looking everywhere. I guess no sleep for this momma.

The 4-5am feeding is a toss up here, in terms of whether she goes right back to sleep or finishes wide awake and is done sleeping for the night. I'm nursing her right now watching her eyes open wide and then slowly close, and repeat, waiting to see what she ends on.
...and right as I was about to post the above, she puked up all over both of us and the glider. Love when I have to stop to change, clean everything up, and then feed her all over again since she just emptied out her stomach.
