I have a question. I need a new bathing suit; all of mine have gotten super beat up by diving. Should I expect that one in my regular size will get me through the summer? Preferred style is tankini if that makes a difference. They're so pricy to get one that will only last a year.
@Xstatic3333 I actually need to get a new bathing suit as well. I have a one piece and a few bikinis. I'm so bloated that I don't think ill be comfortable wearing either one. I too, have considered a tankini. I've seen a bunch of cute ones at wal-mart (decent price too). I'll probably go try on a few sometime next week.

Nice! Yeah, tankinis work well for me since I'm a very different size on top than on bottom. Like, Size 6 vs. Size 12 non-pregnant! I used to do bikinis but started feeling less comfortable as I got older.
I wouldn't go a size up. You might be bloating now but I remember last time I was back to buttoning my regular pants after a few weeks! So you should be fine getting your regular size and then it won't be a waste
Last night I was able to muster up the energy to bake a blueberry coffee cake and start going through DS' baby clothes. I can't believe he was ever that tiny! If we have another boy, aside from a few seasonal pieces, this LO will be set with clothes for awhile.
Morning ladies!!! I was camping last week and got to tell my family (in person this time) that I am pregnant, which of coarse is now making my irrational fears that I am NOT ok for my Thursday sono. I am sure it is in my head...
I have tons of work this week and I am not looking forward to it all, but what can you do....
Agree about the tankini, if you worry about it not lasting more than 1 year I would buy a cheapie one from walmart or target.
Oh one more thing... has anyone seen this new pregnancy test that syncs with your phone?!?! Like it has a count down for the test results and it sends it to your phone and even gives a 'possible' EDD... I feel like this is crazy! But in the same breath I want to take it... #peeonallthings.

I don't go to Walmart very much, but Target bathing suits are surprisingly not especially cheap! I think the last time I checked (last year) it was $25 for a top and another $25 for a bottom. They are cute though. I truly jones over Patagonia bathing suits but haven't been able to bring myself to pay for them yet. My go-to is Lands End. I think they are a good balance between price and quality, and like I mentioned, with my diving job bathing suits really take a beating.
That test sounds crazy! How much does it cost? I'm a pregnancy test cheapskate, and couldn't even bring myself to pay for a digital.
I just realized that all of my posting this morning has been related to how cheap I am. I swear that's not all I'm about, new internet friends. It's just that my first ultrasound bill came in, and ouch! Makes me feel like we need to be implementing extreme austerity measures until the baby is safely home.
@Xstatic3333 I legit LOLed to your all of you comments have been about how cheap I am. But you are right about Target, maybe try Kohls. I buy a neutral color incase you end up having to replace one part you can just match the same color.
I am a 'saver' like you. I prefer to call it that over cheap. I am always on the hunt for a bargain.
Speaking of bathing suits, I'm having a hard time with DD. She's tall and skinny with a pot belly. And ginger, so I bought the LS rash guard. Problem is, she needs a 4t top, but her 2t bottoms are falling off. Bought a one piece and it was tight on her belly but gaped around the legs so much I could see her vag, and she needs a suit for her summer preschool program. HALP!!

We are in the same boat (w/o a swimsuit... haha). We found one pair of smaller bottoms (Carter's brand I think) that we've been circulating between all our larger tops.

We've had good success with Gymboree two pieces. My daughter is super picky about clothing and will actually wear them. She is long and lean with no waist. It's a long sleeve rash guard and bottoms.

I have the Gymboree ones, I will check out Carters bottoms!
I have today off for no reason at all and made an afternoon play date with my friend and her kids. Then she wanted to switch the morning and I got irrationally annoyed because I didn't want to have to watch my kid the whole day on my day off.

Ugh. I have so many bins and huge piles of DD's old clothes that I'll have to find the motivation to go through at some point, so kudos to you for tackling that! I saved her clothes with the understanding that if we kept everything, kid#2 would be a boy and if I got rid of it all (which I've been so tempted to do on many occasions) then we would have another girl.

Please don't let this be true. I have held onto every single thing my daughter ever wore in hopes of using it on another daughter! Maybe it's an FFFC but I would have a hard time (at first!) if I found out we were having a boy.

1) I would buy a swimsuit you are comfortable in now - even if you fluctuate a bit over the summer you should still fit.
2) DD has bins beyond bins of clothes. I am going to cry buckets if I have to part with them since we are done with two kids. I really have no sex preference, but the thought of going through all of those clothes and moving on from that part of her life gives me all of the feels.
3) I showed DH an Oreo poke cake recipe that looked AH-MAZING the other night. He snuck out after I went to bed, bought the infredients, and baked me the cake! I have the best hubby in the world!!!!
Ok apparently I am special because I posted that comment and then tried to edit it twice and it just won't post my whole comment.....
Anyway!!! @Xstatic3333 what type of diving? Springboard or scuba?
Scuba! My second job/#1 passion is teaching scuba diving in the beautiful waters of New England. I'm very happy to be taking time off for this pregnancy but can't wait to get in the water again sometime next year. I'm actually toying with snorkeling a bit while I can still fit in my wetsuit.

My middle is similar. I mismatch suits with rash guard tops and bottoms from previous suits. I have also found that buying 4 versus 4T helps a lot too. Gymboree has their suits on sale right now. Got rash guards for 7.99 and just matched them up with old bottoms
Maybe this is a UO, but I don't plan on buying new clothes for this kid even if it's a girl. We have some gender specific boy clothes, but I really wouldn't care if I had a daughter wearing them. I really can't justify spending money on baby clothes when we have so many..

I had that test, it's super misleading. It does the same thing as any other test. It's just a digital test that says yes or no and then on the app you can put in your last menstrual period date to figure out your EDD. It doesn't give you any EDD by like your HCG levels or anything. Waste of money.
^thats good to know because I was seriously considering trying it to see what it said my edd would be since I am not 100% sure when I ovulated and have longish cycles, so I don't think LMP is accurate.
Also....I am in heaven right now. It has been so hot I haven't been sleeping well. I went out and splurged on a nice tower fan and am basking in the cool air. I am sleeping well tonight!
@FishyMom I know I am shocked! On my last BMB the Randoms thread would usually be at 200+ posts before I could check in for the day.
my random is thank goodness for door dash. DH is away on business tonight and he always cooks. I have no interest in cooking so I ordered door dash when I picked my daughter up and got it delivered 15 minutes after we got home. #win
Many last BMB was crazy with the randoms too. When I had to go to page 2 to find the thread I was shocked. I feel like randoms is where you get to know people.
@FishyMom we ordered Thai food. I have a love affair with Chicken Pad Thai.
@raptormomma I miss Vegas. I last went in college, so maybe 9 years ago? Once this new baby is old enough for us to leave overnight that is one of the places I would love to do a long weekend.
