Had the most epic MOTN diaper blow out. I was holding DS who erupted out the side of the diaper, poo all over my shirt and hands. He was just in a diaper , so I when I removed said diaper the poo continued to shoot out like lava all over the changing table. DS was kicking his heels in the heeps and got all over his body. I then shouted to sleeping DH that it was a 911 diaper and to get into the shower immediately, no amount of wipes could take care of this. I guess this what happens when your child is EBF and doesn't poo for four days ... Yikes !!!!
I've had LO shoot out poop on the changing table. I was laughing so hard as it went straight into the clothes hamper. A perfect shot!
Im curious, though...why no poop for four days with an EBF baby?
Not sure , just read it's normal for EBF babies to not poo for a couple days ... Even up to a week ! But boy howdy when he went it made up for the missed days
I've read that too but my EBF baby poops a lot! Multiple times a day every day.
I have one of those odd babies - EBF and only poops once every couple of days (she once went an entire week). It's still the yellowy-seedy stuff so ped said not to worry. I am going to count my blessings since I've heard some go multiple times a day and during feedings!
Saves money on diapers I say! I don't have one those special babies. Mine is a happy pooper.
I have been forcing myself to eat since DD was born since I've had absolutely no appetite. So starting yesterday I have been ravenous. There is no amount of food I can eat that will make me feel full. Tonight I ate dinner, then a fudgsicle, then 2 entire cucumbers, and then DD1's goldfish, and here I am still starving. I can't keep eating like this! I also stopped my blood pressure medication 3 days ago so I'm wondering if that has something to do with it. Do I keep eating or just accept the fact that I won't feel full ever?
Pollie fell asleep at 9:45 last night and it's been almost eight hours and she's still asleep! I got her up about an hour ago to feed her and she ate for a bit and fell back asleep. I wish I could enjoy this sleep but instead I've been up for an hour and a half just waiting for her
I went to change Elle in the bathroom of the grocery store because I heard her poop. Of course she wasn't done so when I tried to change her she shot me with projectile poop. I now understand why moms should have a change of clothes in the diaper bag. Leaving the store like this gave me new meaning to the phrase "Walk of shame"
Guys I'm alone. At the grocery store. It's empty here but I'm taking my time. Gonna tell dh it was packed. I'm like a kid in a candy store browsing the produce aisle!!!!
My husband took our toddler daughter to the library. He checked out a kids biography of Muhammad Ali. He's reading it to her now in her room and I'm out in the family room nursing the babe, laughing and crying at how precious he is.
So after being on my new pill for a week I start bleeding enough I have to wear a pad. Umm I waited almost 7 weeks now to have sex and now blood. Wtf why it's just not fair

I can't seem to get enough suction with the nosefrida. It takes so many tries to get them boogies out! What's the secret?
I suck gently but continuously and swirl it in circles. If it's a dry booger, I use saline a few minutes beforehand.
ETA: May be gross, but if it's really, really stubborn, I have taken the tube off and just used the blue part. I haven't needed to do that with DS2 though.
So I became obsessed with la croix during the third trimester of my pregnancy. I recently discovered the coconut flavor and damn...it is so good! And it's healthy too. No sodium, fake sweeteners or other junk in it. I bet it tastes great mixed with an adult beverage too
eta: the reason that I enjoy it is because it helps me from reaching for a soda when all I'm really craving is a carbonated drink.

Omg have you tried the watermelon kiwi? It's the only reason I'm moderately hydrated, ever.
First solo Target and grocery store outing a success. Only minor fussiness at the checkout at Target and completely fine at the grocery store. Only issue was once we got into the car to go home. Yay!

That's awesome! I'm still scared to do a solo outing. My friend's baby shower is this Saturday and she wants me to bring DS. I'm still hesitant.
@tgortney When I was first doing solo outings I started with BabyRUs and Target. I thought a screaming baby would be in good company. I've also done Costco, the mall, and an outdoor shopping area we have here. I use my stroller rather than putting her car seat in a cart because I can stand and look at something and casually rock her stroller to keep her asleep. I'm actually more nervous about bringing her around a group of my mom friends. I don't want them to judge my soothing skills if she has a meltdown.
Gahh. I REALLY want to like carbonated water, but I just can't deal with the taste. I've tried several flavors but have yet to find one I like. It would be a lot better than taking a can of pop.

That's exactly why. I told her I didn't want him to be fussy but she said she didn't care. Plus, he's only 7 weeks, not sure if I wanna bring him around other babies and toddlers without shots. And I also want to spend a few hours alone since giving birth. Figured DH can have solo daddy time with him because he actually didn't have daddy duties last Saturday for 6-7 hours!

I didn't like sparkling water at all before I tried La Croix...they have lots of yummy flavors!

Target - the official first outing for new moms everywhere.

The boys are sleeping in their favourite position (I am watching them) so I am enjoying a HUGE beer after having pumped for the evening.
Life is kinda perfect right now. Anyone else feeling ridiculously giddy nowadays (when you're not tired to the bone)?
Pic of the two of them (because they are too cute):
Yes! I finally feel like I'm getting a grip on my new life. I got overwhelmed today and was surprised by how quickly it passed. i love sleeping dad and baby pictures
Ahhhh, baby boy FINALLY went 5 hours between feeds last night - 9:20 - 2:25. Not that I expect a repeat so soon, but that was golden. Hopefully next time I can take advantage and sleep, instead of constantly checking on him.
Anddddd my freezer stash passed 100oz today. It's a pretty good Thursday!

This is purely curiosity... Is there a reason you're building such a huge stash?? Do you think you'll stop pumping before baby is done BFing? That's incredible!
@bluejay3030 I travel a lot with my job, and while I can push back traveling some, I know there are some trips I'm going to take so I'm trying to build my stash now so I'm not stressed when it comes to time :-)
My husband always tells me to nap when baby naps and I respond by reminding him that the house doesn't magically clean itself, and laundry doesn't fold itself, etc. Well today, I was exhausted. H was at work and I laid down on the couch when DS fell asleep. I told myself I'd sleep for 20 minutes and then get up and make coffee and fold a mountain of clothing. Ha. You guys- I sacked out for an hour and a half. He just got home and I'm hoping he doesn't sit down on the couch and see how warm it is where I was laying bc I'm not going to tell him that I napped. I need him to think that I'm really tired so that I can go to bed early. I don't want to stay up to watch shows with him tonight. No tv. No bj's. More sleep please. #thankyouverymuchseeyouinthemorning #closetnapper
My doctor was away so I just had my post-partum visit at 8 weeks. She kindly reminded me her children are 13 months apart and to use birth control. Message received, loud and clear.

100 oz is a huge stash?! I've been EBF for the past week now. I was EP since he was born and I passed 100 oz probably by 3-4 weeks PP (which caused an oversupply for me). Should I stop building a stash until I go back to work?
I think I'm on the verge of tears hearing how much everyone has in a stash. And I can't even say at least I don't get engorged at night and/or leak. I feel so behind.
Re: Weekly Randoms 6/20
And now I want funfetti cake.
DD: 05/14/16
*disclaimer- I totally made DH do the actual sucking.

What. The. Heck?! Is it so much of a thing that they had to put a warning on the carton?
