@20T, too funny you started the same day as I did. I have been having weird dreams but I started having them when I began taking herbs called "Comfort Shen", to help with sleep. I stopped that when I started Lupron but I'm still having crazy dreams so I guess the Lupron is having that effect on me as well? I have my first ultrasound on Friday, 6/24 and start my stims that day as well. I take my last BCP tonight and my dosage of Lupron goes from 10mL to 5 starting tomorrow. What part of the US do you live in?

@PNW12RN i know buying tampons can be disheartening especially when you oooo so dont want to
@engem819 sorry to hear about your negative beta you wil find out whats going on and next time will work for you
@AugustAng they had me remove my polyps before i could start my cycle i had then removed in March and had to have two afs before i could get started i think you are lucky that you doctor is going to remove yours during your retreveial that way you wont have such a long wait cause i had to tak bcps the whole time and it killed me doing so
@chicandbubbly congrats on you bfp im so happy for you hh9mons
@kyrgyzshan omg i know exactly how you feel. when i was trying to get my med there was so many hurdles it was a pain in my a$$ especially when i was told if i didnt get the lupron on time i would have to wait another week so wasnt happy when i heard that.
AFM my scan fri showed that my follies were at 11 and i had 3 on right and 1 on left and my uterus was looking good. so i have another scan mon and hopefully ill be triggering then and my ret will be wed instead of tue. i just want everything to be ok cause this is very stressful
@mrsmoten313 GL on Wed, you'll do great! ASM - The IUI went well, she seemed happy with his numbers even though it was less than a million. I thought it was funny that dh was in the room with me, he looked uncomfortable! She said just do a hpt in 2 weeks, and she orders some progesterone suppositories to start tomorrow. Are they as super fun as all you ladies have described? I imagine its like sitting in a pie
My RE just showed me and dh how to do all the shots in her office, she's very hands on, that's why i like her.

@KirstenCas panty liners are a must. TMI but sometimes a lot of white stuff comes out and occasionally it will literally feel like you have peed your pants.

I'm having a rough day. I just got home from a brunch with my girlfriends, one who brought her 6 month old, and another who made a big announcement to us all that she's 12 weeks pregnant with her second. I've been expecting her to announce this for about 6 months now because I knew they were trying and they conceived their first on month one of trying. I've been dreading her announcement every time I had plans with her, not because I don't want her to have another baby but because I just didn't know if I was going to be able to hold myself together. I managed it though, but I had a hard time being involved in everyone's conversation and remained quiet mostly. Now I'm a complete mess. I've been trying really hard lately to be so optimistic and hopeful that it will happen for me one day, but I know that deep down I just feel sad and hopeless. It's really weighing me down right now. I didn't know what else to do but come on here and let it out.

Me: 34, DH: 38 ~ TTC since 2014 IUI #1-3 (Nov 2015, Feb 2016, May 2016) = BFNs IVF ER (July 2016) = 7 PGS normal embryos FET #1 (Sept 2016) = BFP! DD born 5/30/17 FET #2 (April 2019) = BFN FET #3 (July 2019) = BFP! DS born 3/27/20
@wifeinraleigh28 I completely understand. I have a friend who started trying after me and every time we got together I also dreaded her making the announcement. Even though I was expecting it, it hit me like a ton of bricks when she told me she was pregnant. She just gave birth a few days ago and while I am very happy for her, it also crushed me at the same time. This is such a difficult process to go through. Fingers crossed our time is soon!
@wifeinraleigh28 I know Exactly how you feel. I had a friend call me and tell me she was pregnant for the second time, on accident, with boy/girl twins. Of course, we act so happy, but I cried for the whole day. My only advice is that this is a roller coaster and you (we) will have bad days and good days. Just letting myself cry or grieve when I need to is part of the process. I have thrown and broken dishes into the sink, cursed out the E!TV pregnant celeb announcements, and cried over friends and family announcements. It's not pretty, but it just is what it is. Talking to other infertile "sisters" and getting it out helps, just know that you are not alone in your feelings. xxoo
@chicandbubbly Congrats lady, I am thrilled for you and inspiring hope for those of us still in this journey.
AFM: I had my transfer yesterday, Transferred 1 5day AA Blast & 1 5day Morula. We have 2 or 3 we are still watching for a possible freeze, but nothing for sure. @wifeinraleigh28 Oh, I am so sorry you are having a rough day. I have had plenty of these days myself and they are the worst. The sadness and hopelessness can be so encompassing. Take care of yourself today and know that you are never alone in your feelings. Tomorrow is a new day filled with hope for the future. One day you're going to be a fabulous mom, even more so because of this process. Hugs!!
Me (36) DH (39) 3 early m/c before pursuing fertility treatments Diagnosis: Unexplained
Thank you for your kind words @Stars2016, @annebenton22, and @AugustAng. I know you ladies can all relate to how this feels. I've been really isolating myself from my friends lately because I feel like I carry this weight of infertility around with me and it's hard to be around other people. I feel like a bad friend these days.
I ended up having a nice afternoon with DH and I do feel better now though. But I find it hard to be really sad about all this stuff around him because I feel like whenever I get sad about it, he feels REALLY sad and guilty because of his MFI diagnosis. So I try to suck it up so he doesn't feel that way! I hate it when he feels bad and responsible for my sadness.
@annebenton22 Congrats on your transfer! What beautiful little embabies! Wow, your beta is just 10 days after your transfer, how nice that you don't have to wait so long!! FX for you!!

@emgem819 and @sleepyrn - so sorry this cycle didn't work...maybe we can be transfer buddies at the end of July? Wine and sushi sound like the perfect way to do something for yourself.
@chicandbubbly - congrats!! Hope that beta keeps rising and you have a happy and healthy 9 months!
@wifeinraleigh28 - glad you are feeling better and the bad days happen to us all so this is a good venue to vent. I have 4 sisters and 14 nieces and nephews. I am the only one without children...so calling all the brothers in law today is a little bittersweet. But I'm hoping that everyone here will be telling their significant others happy Father's Day next year!
afm - waiting to hear about PGS/CCS results anytime from tomorrow to Wednesday. I took an extra shift today to keep my mind occupied and work tomorrow too. Here's hoping the next few days fly by.

@wifeinraleigh28 sending you hugs and support. I have a friend who sends me darling pictures of her 4th kid. She is adorable and sometimes I love to get them - but it hurts so bad those other times. Sometimes on days when you don't think that will.
AFM: Got the call yesterday morning that Friday's egg retrieval yielded 10 eggs. Out of 10 of them - 9 were mature. Today we got the call that 7 of them made it to the 2-4 cell stage. Keep on growing and dividing little embys!!! You can do it!!!

its crazy when it hits you at random times...i was getting a pedi yesterday and there was this girl around my age sooo cute with her belly there with her mother and the nail tech was talking to her b/c she was also pregnant and they were both 7 months along blah blah then she says something about how the last time she was in there was when she was visiting her mom last time...for their wedding in Sept. I think this hit me soo hard b/c my wedding was Sept almost 2 years ago and we were trying from the second we got married so that should have been me. my eyes filled up so quick took everything in me to suck them back down so i didn't cause a scene in the nail salon
as far as med teachings go my nurse gave me a pamphlet and said use this website: villagepharmacy.com that was pretty much my teaching session...of course the researcher i am had already looked up any and all meds, youtube is a great place for meds too
Have got purple patches on my thighs from injections- anyone else experiencing this? Mother in law already feels I should be buying oversize clothes, my mom called me to find out whether I'm feeling any physical changes. Heaven help us in dealing with over eager relatives!
Married for 4 years, TTC for 1.5 years Unexplained infertility
History: Hypothyroid, under control Low ovarian reserve 2 IUIs IVF #1 no luck IVF #2 ongoing
@nuttymask that's super cute and sweet @kyrgyzshan I had no problems when I was on lupron, but I'm not sure if that's what gave me a migraine which resulted in vomiting after going off of it, since I had been on it for soooo long. Hope that wasn't it and you don't have any side effects. @freudianmamma those are great numbers, fx they keep growing. Do you know what your estrogen level was? Or how many follicles you had?? AFM: I have had bw and us yesterday, today and tomorrow....they say I'm going faster then expected, not sure how I feel about that. I know the calendar is an estimate but I would have assumed I'd go longer (like my first IVF cycle) not shorter. Now I'm concerned the eggs didn't have time to grow properly and there are quite a few who don't gave time to catch up. Anyone else have their stim cycle cut shorter?? Also, did majority of you return to work the day after ER? I cannot remember how it went for me, I can remember my two transfers but not ER.

@rmarble23 oh my gosh what a tough thing to go through at the nail salon! and that's supposed to be a sacred, relaxing space! sorry that happened. that would have made me cry too. it should be you and some day it will be
@mr&mrs.d i returned to work the next day, very sore and bloated but i was able to adjust my assignment for the day so i was sitting as my job involves alot of getting up and down and that would have been very painful. It took me most of a week to return back to normal function but the first two days were probably the worst. come to find out my RE said she had pushed me a little too close to OHSS that she would have liked.
@rmarble23 yikes, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm trying to cut down on my time out of work, but since no one there knows what I'm doing, I'm wondering if two days off would be better then the heads turning if I'm in pain or uncomfortable....hmmm...decisions never end @freudianmamma I don't know if it should be tracked, I just read somewhere that the estrogen level might correlate with the number of mature eggs. I think it was like 200-400 per egg. I have no idea if this is correct, so I was wondering if it was the case for you.

@wifeinraleigh28 So sorry this was a rough day. I always wonder when this will get easier? I honestly think infertility is a trauma that just keeps getting opened up again and again, especially during moments like that. I read this quote often to try and remind myself this too shall pass.
Thank you for sharing that @BornReady. If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that everyone here has incredible strength. The fact that we can lift our heads, go about our lives, deal with infertility, and still remain hopeful and optimistic a good portion of the time, shows just how strong we are.
@freudianmamma Congrats on those little embabies! Here's hoping they keep growing and developing as they should!

@BornReady That is a lovely quote. Quite appropriate for us infertiles!
AFM - One of DH and I's friend had a baby two weeks ago, and they had asked for dinner deliveries on their baby registry. At the time I was newly pregnant and thought it was a great idea. Haha, then I had a miscarriage and babies kinda sucked for a while. Well today was my first day bringing said food to them, and I got the see their LO. I thought it was going to be very challenging, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I didn't hold him (I didn't ask, and she didn't offer [she knows about our infertility, they also struggled a bit]), but maybe when I go back in a week and a half for my second food delivery I'll ask about it. Hopefully by then I'll have gotten started with a period (it'll be almost two weeks since my last provera) so I'll be feeling more hopeful/optimistic!
Congrats to those who got positive betas over the last 2 days! Hopefully we see lots more on this thread!

So excited for you! @wifeinraleigh28 I am so sorry you had a bad day on Saturday. What you are feeling is completely normal. My SIL and BIL have been trying for their second and I have been feeling the same way you have. I keep dreading the moment when they tell me that they are pregnant again. I was MIA over the weekend and oh my gosh, so much has happened! So many posts, I know I've missed a few, so apologies in advance!
@chicandbubbly - congrats!! FX for rising numbers at beta #2! when are going back for it?
@emgem819 and @sleepyrn and @BlueEyedDreamer I'm heartbroken for you! Taking care of yourself (mentally and physically) comes first, so whether you decide to jump right into a FET or take some time off, we are all here for you!
Congrats to everyone who have had ERs in the last few days and FX for those little embryos to all keep growing!
Good luck to @msirni0 and @junebuggy2004 and @Foxy8609 for good ETs and beta testing today...can't wait to hear all about how everything goes!
@wifeinraleigh28 - I also saw a couple family members this weekend that have babies and/or are expecting. One of DH's cousin's wife had announced earlier this spring that they're due in August...when we saw her before she wasn't showing, but this weekend she obviously was, and I didn't expect to feel like I was punched in the gut when they arrived at my in-laws house. Then her sister-in-law (DH's other cousin) announced yesterday that they're due in December. They both had "planned" to get pregnant with their first kids, and now again. I was the only girl there yesterday under the age of 55 who wasn't pregnant. It kind of sucked. But, I got to enjoy all the wine and cocktails and they couldn't...I kept telling myself that to make myself feel better...
AFM - on BCPs for the next couple/few weeks. I think they're making me nauseous, but I'm not sure if it'll go away after i get used to them, or if I should call my RE and switch brands. In a way I don't mind it, cause it's making me not want to snack AT ALL so as a "by-product" I've been making better food choices and eating better...lol
Hi there--I'm new around here, and @cmm012 very helpfully directed me to this conversation (thanks!)
I'm most likely looking at a transfer Friday or Saturday--have been stimming since 6/13 with gonal-f and steadily increasing doses of menopur. Started the ganirelix yesterday morning, my biggest follicle today was 16.5, and they're hoping another day or two of meds will let a couple of smaller ones catch up. FX!
Just wondering if anyone else is dealing with the nausea I've got going on. It just started today (thankfully), but I feel like I'm hungover--sick to my stomach, the spins every so often, headache, etc. I'm trying to pound water and eat small bites of noodles every couple hours, but I'm struggling. Friday/Saturday (please dear god, Friday) suddenly feels so far away.
GL to everyone else going thru a cycle this month! Internet hugs to all
Me: 30, mild DOR Him: 31, totes fine. IUI #1: 5 follicles, cycle cancelled :-/ IUI #2: 1 follicle, BFP, chemical IVF #1: 12 follicles, 9 eggs, 1 fresh 5dt and 4 on ice. BFP, beta #1: 326, beta #2: 841
@UnicornsPlease welcome! @cmm012 is right - you'll find so many wonderful ladies here who offer great support and advice! Good luck with your final few days of stimming...hopefully the nausea will abate and you won't be too uncomfortable. and Good Luck on your ER on friday/saturday!
Is anyone else taking Medrol? The nurse tells me it's a steroid that helps your body to not 'reject' the embryo by treating it as a foreign invader. But it tastes disgusting! I thought I ingested poison lol
Thanks for all of the well wishes! Transfer went great! (Although they were running behind and I was so uncomfortable bc I had a full bladder). Here is our perfect little blast (hopefully it's not huge, I'm posting from the mobile app. I apologize if it is!)
@emgem819@sleepyrn So sorry to hear about the beta results. Big hugs to you both!
@chicandbubbly Congrats!! So happy for you! GL on your 2nd beta today!
@FatPony Ugh that medrol is the worst! The best way I found to take it was to put it towards the back of my tongue and then drink and swallow as quickly as possible before it has time to start dissolving. But yeah, it's so gross! I dreaded that more than the injections sometimes!
@msirni0 Congrats on a smooth transfer! That embaby is gorgeous!
@UnicornsPlease Welcome to the group! Sorry you haven't been feeling well! I didn't have too much nausea during my stims but I'm sure it's a pretty common side effect. Maybe get some ginger chews? I know those can really help with tummy trouble. Hope you feel better soon!
Me: 36 DH: 36 TTC since October 2014 June 2015: large ovarian cyst removed Nov 2015: Dx w/ diminished ovarian reserve, extremely low AMH IVF #1: 04/2016 - 3 eggs retrieved, 2 mature & fertilized, 1 Day 6 blast frozen, PGS normal IVF #2: 07/2016 - 3 eggs retrieved, 2 mature & fertilized, none made it past day 3 IVF #3: 09/2016 - 5 eggs retrieved, 3 mature & fertilized, 1 day 6 blast frozen, PGS normal FET #1: 12/2016 - 1 day 6 blast transferred - BFP!! EDD 9/7/2017
I'm a bump newbie. I've been wanting to post for awhile on this thread but since I just joined, I haven't been able to until now due to website restrictions.
My DH and I are 27 and have had 8 unsuccessful IUIs for male factor. We JUST underwent our first IVF ever! I had my ER June 5 and my ET June 10. They got 3 eggs and at our request, fertilized only 2 and transferred both freezing the third egg. I wanted to say thanks so much for all your updates. It's kept my mind busy and been a HUGE relief to my knowing I'm not going through this alone! The biggest issue has been money. Michigan doesn't require any coverage and neither of the plans available to us cover it. We shelled out $25,000 just to cover our IVF.
**TRIGGER WARNING** My grandmother unexpectedly passed during my ER surgery. She was the only one in our life who understood our struggles as they eventually adopted my mother. It's been quite an emotional roller coaster, more so than I expected, but the Bump forums have kept me calm and helped me grieve. We got some good news from my doctor's office today! Best $25,000 we've ever spent. Thank for being there and letting me read your stories and progress! It's been so helpful and I'm going to continue to read!
Re: June/July IVF or FET
@chicandbubbly, congratulations, I'm so happy for you!
Married: 12/4/15
Me: 43 DH:43
Me: FSH levels all over the place, pre-menopausal
Him: Low count & motility
Meds start - Lupron until 6/23, Cetrotide started 6/24, Gonal-F starts 7/1
First ultrasound 6/24 shows 8 follicles with some possibly hiding
Egg Retrieval - Between 7/9-7/22
IVF #1 canceled due to poor response - 7/12
Figuring out next steps
@msirni0 those are good numbers i wonder if they will give me that information when my retrevial is done and stuff i hope so. good luck with the transfer.
@kirstencas how are you feeling how did the iui go
@freudianmamma congrats on the numbers fxed they all fertilize for you
@junebuggy2004 those are very good numbers good luck on mon
@sleepyrn sorry that your beta was negative im praying next time works for you and that af starts quickly so you can get started.

@emgem819 and @sleepyrn I am sorry that it didn't work for you ladies this month. Take care of yourselves and here is me sending hope that it will happen soon for you.

AFM - First night with Lupron. What should I expect as the side effects?? What did ya'll experience?
as far as med teachings go my nurse gave me a pamphlet and said use this website: villagepharmacy.com that was pretty much my teaching session...of course the researcher i am had already looked up any and all meds, youtube is a great place for meds too

IVF #1 no luck
IVF #2 ongoing
@kyrgyzshan I had no problems when I was on lupron, but I'm not sure if that's what gave me a migraine which resulted in vomiting after going off of it, since I had been on it for soooo long.

Mr&Mrs.D - Thank you! DH and I are excited but nervous. Our RE had said he was "tracking 6" (maybe for maturity?) so it is surprising that there were some more! I had 18 follies in there by the end. I am not sure what my estrogen level is. Is that something I should be tracking?

@freudianmamma I don't know if it should be tracked, I just read somewhere that the estrogen level might correlate with the number of mature eggs. I think it was like 200-400 per egg. I have no idea if this is correct, so I was wondering if it was the case for you.

@emgem819 and @sleepyrn I am so so sorry

@linz528 glad you are feeling better! Congrats on your perfect little embaby
@taylormichel welcome!
@bornready, I had more than expected from my last appointment before ER. I was told I had about 13 and ended up with 16. The days prior to that they said 10. It's hard to really get an idea early on. Also love that quote you shared!!
@chicandbubbly yayyyy!!! congrats!!!
They also had a very easy time getting pregnant with my nephew. I'm glad you had a nice afternoon with DH and are feeling better.
@annebenton22 eekkk!!! Congrats on your beautiful embabies! GL with your others, hopefully you get a couple of frosties.
@freudianmamma yay! Congrats on your embabies! Grow grow grow!!!
@rmarbles23 it's SO hard when people who get married after you get pregnant--although that seems to be the norm for me since we have been married 3 years in September.
mr&mrs.d I had to take an extra day after ER. I felt uncomfortable when I was sitting up, so sitting at my desk for 8 hours would have been rough.

ETA: words are hard.

I'm a bump newbie.
**TRIGGER WARNING**
My grandmother unexpectedly passed during my ER surgery. She was the only one in our life who understood our struggles as they eventually adopted my mother. It's been quite an emotional roller coaster, more so than I expected, but the Bump forums have kept me calm and helped me grieve. We got some good news from my doctor's office today!
