@emgem819 I know what you mean! After my TI cycles, I always felt mortified sitting there during full flow like that all pantsless! DH always made me feel better by reminding me just how many v3g's the RE's see everyday in that state.
AFM: I am resting and waiting for Netflix to fix itself on my laptop after my Fresh Transfer today! Watching some OITNB. I am feeling peaceful for the first time in awhile. They were able to transfer one embryo today! It was such an exciting day! DH got to come in for the transfer procedure and looked so cute in his little hazmat/surgical outfit RE said we had four "beautiful" embies and I feel so lucky and grateful. The transfer went well and I cried when my Dr shook my hand and said "good luck and you have my prayers for the next two weeks and now go home and eat ice cream".

Thank you @mrsmoten313 for asking. And thank you everyone. I am feeling ok just super crampy and can only take Tylenol every six hours.
good luck to everyone with ERs coming up. To be honest, the whole things wasn't that bad - the hysteroscopy was worse in my opinion. But this cramping was no fun. Took my anitbiotics and started the medrol. Didn't notice it had a bad taste like someone else said. Can't wait to here how many eggs were mature enough to fertilize...
@BornReady I guess it's 3 altogether. Seems excessive to me! My sweet husband is so excited to take care of me for 3 days, but I'm not looking forward to being a prisoner in my bed for that long. I hadn't heard anyone else complain about bedrest boredom so I thought the 3 day thing might just be my doctor.
@freudianmamma so happy for you that your transfer went well! Hope you enjoy your OITNB and ice cream! And so true about what your DH said about them seeing so many in that state lol! They are used to it just still feels weird:)

@freudianmamma yayyy!!! So proud of you! It's such an emotional experience, but after so long of disappointment, hearing that your embryos are awesome is the BEST feeling!

My period magically started today! I was unconvinced it would actually occur, since my lining was pretty thin and I have had really light flow the last few months (with/without random fertility meds involved). I called my clinic, and they had me start my delestrogen shots today. So I am dropping my Lupron to 5u each night, and adding in delestrogen 5mg every 3 days.
Looks like me 'failing' my suppression check only adds another week onto our FET plan. My new transfer date is 7/13. Really, this works out better overall. My husband's jury duty starts 6/29 and now I don't have to worry so much about him being picked for a trial and missing the transfer.

@kfras It's interesting how every office differs on different things. I guess I don't mind the extra bed rest since we have to make an international trip almost a week after ET. We are moving abroad for my husband's job and his company requires us to visit first. My doctor said its ok as long as I make sure to get up often and walk around on the plane.
@BornReady I know they really do! I always wonder what makes people choose the professions they are in. I am going from 10 years in accounting to a career in Mental Health Counseling. If it wasn't for my own therapy journey I would not have even thought of it or about wanting to pass along that gift to others.
@casey8784 and @cmm012 - we are completely out of pocket, and I knew some clinics don't give sexes for a variety of reasons, including insurance restrictions....its just crazy because I thought through this whole process we would implant 2 if normal and a girl and boy if it worked out that we had both that were normal...and suddenly in the last week I am having doubts. Interestingly we have 5 sets of friends who each have twins, only 1 of 5 happened with IVF, and only 1 of 5 had a difficult/early delivery/complicated pregnancy (not the IVF one), but 4 of the 5 had c sections...I just thought I had it all figured out and now I think I'm back to square one.

@Knottie17863111 and @kfras - I was told to take it easy for one day post retrieval, but could go back to work 2 days later. The nurse told me no sex for 2 weeks after transfer (very different from other posts), no unprotected sex 5 days before retrieval, no sex within 2 weeks of transfer (before and after), minimal activity day of transfer, and no strenuous exercise for 2 weeks post transfer (but can go back to work etc the next day)....seems like the rules are different for everybody!

One of my best friends just told me she's pregnant. It hit me like a ton of bricks. They weren't even trying. They weren't even sure they wanted kids! I'm happy for her ... but I hate that my jealousy competes with my joy. I guess she can at least blaze the trail for me and tell me what to expect.
Feeling low tonight.

@LeFemmeViolette I definitely understand the jealousy feeling because you want it to be you so bad it hurts and you wonder why not me. Nothing wrong with it your human. It will be you soon you just have to take a different route then she took.
@Knottie17863111 I had ER yesterday and am up and getting ready for work. I think all clinics are different, and it depends on your experience and how you are feeling. I'm definitely moving slower than normal but being at work will help distract me from waiting for the call on how many fertilized. @Foxy8609 awesome beta!! @freudianmamma congrats on your transfer, having 4 beautiful embabies is great news.
Thanks to everyone for your well wishes with yesterday's ER. I was definitely surprised we got more eggs this time then my 1st cycle, especially because I'm 3 years older and my stim cycle was cut short. I know, quality over quantity, but feel like odds are better with a few more. We will see....

@mr&mrs.d I am up and getting ready for work too! Wish I could stay in bed all day but I really couldn't take the time... Anyway, it was hard getting out of bed but now that I am moving around I am feeling a lot better. And I think my Tylenol wore off in the middle of the night so I took more.
Got the call from embryology already. Out of my 19 only 11 mature but all 11 fertilized. Hoping my little embabies make it through to day five
@kfras those are good numbers congrats fxed they all make it to blast. @mr&Mrs.d going you get numbers as well and I agree having some rather then a few make it feel that odds are bettet in your favor.
As for me I am on my way to my scan like I said I was afraid that I already ovulated because Tuesday on Wednesday I didn't have any pain or soreness in my ovaries but today I woke up and I feel heavy and a bit of soreness so hopefully I didn't ovulate and they can tell me I can trigger tonight
@LeFemmeViolette Ouch that one had to hurt. Take care of yourself today.
@kfras wahoo on the 11 that fertilized! I found the wait from day 2 to day 5 to be excruciating and I hope it goes quickly for you!
Mr&Mrs.D take it easy today and glad to hear that you got more than last time! What a relief! I think about if we are lucky enough to have this work this time - I wonder what will happen if we can do this again someday. DH has hinted he is not so sure he would be able to handle this again. But we shall see...

@freudianmamma, I know what you mean. I'm not sure about doing this again so I would be fine with twins!
I never thought I would be so excited to give myself shots but today is finally the day I start my suppression shots and I am really excited to be getting this process started! I have been following all of your stories for what feels like forever and I am happy to be finally joining in! I took one of your suggestions and bought a bag of chocolates so I can reward myself after every shot. I also treated myself to one last frappuccino this morning. YAY so excited to get things going.

@sleepyrn July 19 will be here before you know it! For my FET, I only had to go in for the suppression check (June11) and then will go in for my lining check on June 25 with my FET currently scheduled for June 30. It's weird to not be going in every other day to see how things are progressing!
Congrats to all those that had their ERs the past few days, sounds like you all got great numbers and aren't feeling too bad!
@PWN12RN how did your first night of del estrogen shots go? I'm not sore from them like the PIO but dang have I been exhausted!
AFM - Not much going on. Going in for my lining check on Saturday which I am starting to get nervous about since with all my IUIs my lining has been on the thinner side. I've been drinking pomegranate juice and doing acupuncture so hopefully that along with the del estrogen helps get it nice and fluffy. My parents are in town this weekend so that will be nice. I asked my mom if she wanted to do my shots for me one night and she replied with a big old NO, lol! She said she doesn't even want to see the needle. I'm glad they know what we are going through so I don't have to hide all the meds, calendars, etc, it just makes having visitors that much easier.
@freudianmamma I'm going to ask why so long when I talk to them. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to have a date but it seems so far away. At least I can give my boss warning this time of how long I need to be off (I'm on a heavy lifting unit in the hospital and can't do my job with restrictions).
@mtpbadger I'm hoping mine is the same, so we don't have to leave early. I am a little worried about having to hide the meds/shots though.
Also feeling a little nervous. I work for a Catholic hospital, which denied my leave because my IVF treatment is immoral and unethical in the eyes of the church, and I go back today and find out if corporate is going to write me up (or worse).

good luck to everyone with ERs coming up.

Looks like me 'failing' my suppression check only adds another week onto our FET plan. My new transfer date is 7/13. Really, this works out better overall. My husband's jury duty starts 6/29 and now I don't have to worry so much about him being picked for a trial and missing the transfer.
Chemo killed my ovaries (along with a BRCA1 mutation, which causes DOR)

@Knottie17863111 and @kfras my clinic gave us a paper as we were leaving the transfer that said "studies show that bed rest does not make difference" but then the tech told me to take it easy today and lay around and then my RE told me to lay around and have DH take care of me and that "I could skip work tomorrow if I wanted". Mixed messages!

@Foxy8609 - so happy for your rising betas! Grow embie grow! Can't wait to hear how your ultrasound goes!

@Foxy8609 awesome beta!!

Got the call from embryology already. Out of my 19 only 11 mature but all 11 fertilized. Hoping my little embabies make it through to day five

@mrsmoten313 yay for triggering!
