Ok, Bellefit wearers: I got mine on today with some sweat and (almost) tears. I think it's too small though bc It makes me have a muffin top just under my chest..like above the corset? Is this normal? I'm still fluffy (only 12 days pp) but I envisioned myself to be sucked in in a nice way...not an unflattering way lol.
So last night DH mentioned going over to a friends house tonight to hang out. This person wants to meet DS so I was under the impression I'd get to stay and chill with them. Not so much. The plan actually is we'll do a quick hi/bye with baby. Then I get to go pick up DH later tonight once he can't drive himself home. Bc DH doesn't think it's a good idea to have baby hang out there anymore.
DH can't seem to understand why I'm kind of upset when I had the prospect of adult interaction taken away from me... Again. After 4 weeks now of pretty much sitting in the house.
@That1didntcount Not sure tbh. Honestly if it's going to end up being a crazy party I guess I don't really want to go anyway, so maybe that's what he's worried about. But just mostly annoyed about getting my hopes up again. DH doesn't seem to realize just yet that it takes a bit of planning to go places with the baby and that I can't just up and leave whenever so I had been working up to it all day... And then come to find out it was just for a quick car ride and was kind of a waste.
Besides TB, I sometimes am on another forum. Haven't checked it out in a while and just logged on since I have a baby sleeping on me and kinda bored. On the pregnancy page, I found this beauty. I can't stop laughing, tears streaming down my face. Even dh is cracking up. I feel bad for this poor woman - 4 days pp. I mean, I was swollen... But this is just insane
edited to add- I'm not making fun of anyone that was swollen. Hell I was too! Just taken aback by the amount of swelling here.
@Jenly17 I just got my bellefit yesterday and was able to barely squeeze into it for 4 hours and 4 hours today. I have the serious muffin top under my bra line as well and the top band starts to really hurt me from being so tight after 4 hours. Like @kbrands7 mentioned, I'm just banking on it feeling better the more I wear it.
@yogahh that is what my feet looked like the last 8 weeks of my pregnancy, just add a little more swelling to the actual top of the foot. My feet have stretched out skin now 4 weeks pp, no lie. Ridiculous!

Seriously?? My god I'm sorry! This just looks so horribly painful!
@yogahh Yeah, that's what my feet looked like 4 days pp, too. Not a fun experience. :P Thankfully, I managed to annoy my husband into wrapping them with medical bandages (I couldn't reach my feet yet because csection), and the swelling literally disappeared overnight!
I went out for the first time without Ezra today! I fed him and changed him and put a huge (4 ounces!) bottle in the fridge and made sure he was asleep before I left. Turned the music up really loud in the car and went and got some post pregnancy transition clothes (maternity clothes are a bit too big and pre pregnancy clothes aren't quite fitting yet) without worrying about if i was going to have to feed at the store or not, then I came home. it was so rejuvenating! It made me love my baby even more than I already do because I got the chance to miss him! Around 6pm is when I start getting a little taxed, I usually get a headache and ask my husband to take over for a little bit, but I feel awesome today. score one for this mama!
My version of a 10 year wedding anniversary date when 3.5 weeks PP and EBF, mini golf while baby-wearing!!!! I actually didn't do too bad but still lost to DH
Sadly, my feet looked like that poor woman's too. I was pumped full of all sorts of fluids during labor and it did NOT want to leave. I even had to be put on lasics 2 weeks pp because it still had not gone down. So much discomfort.
Guys, I think I'm going to have to rehome my cats.
The dogs are doing great - we didn't have time to do a lot of training, but they already understand to wait for us to give the okay to jump on the couch with us, they've been careful around Emily, and they know that her room is off limits, etc. Even the super hyper little one that I was worried about jumping everywhere when they play has toned things down a bit and kept play restricted to the floor area. DH and I are actually really proud of them and make sure they are getting cuddles/treats/etc for their good behavior.
The cats, on the other hand, have become more aggressive.
The boy cat has always been something of a jerk - knows he's not supposed to do stuff, but pushes buttons anyway - it just didn't bother me so much before because I hadn't been looking at it from the POV of an actual mom yet. Now, he's been trying to run into Em's room past me and into the crib, jumping into the PNP in the living room, and making hyper little runs across the living room and couch and only veering away from our direction at the last second. Basically making me very nervous. He used to do this kind of thing in the past when he wanted attention - now that I don't have as much time to give it, it's getting worse. I never know what he's going to do next.
The other one refuses to acknowledge Em's presence. She's constantly trying to get to me, and she's willing to climb over Em to do it. I was nursing in the living room the other day and was barely able to hold her off with one hand and a foot when she managed to dart past and got a foot up on Emily's back. Luckily DH finally walked back in from the errands he'd been running right at that moment and was able to pull her off.
So far, no amount of discipline/pushing/kicking away/spraying with a bottle is working - it's been over two weeks and things are only getting worse. I don't feel secure in my own house when they're here anymore (sometimes they go outside, but this is Texas - the summer heat is only just beginning).
Anybody else having problems with their pets and LO? This is killing me.

Are you giving them plenty/ same amount of attention as pre-baby? It sounds like they might be trying to get your attention?
Madding @TheThornBird - I know you train dogs but thought maybe you would have some insight?

I think I would have suffocated after 4 hours, haha. I wore mine for only an hour or so and had to throw in the towel. I'm going to try again today. Hoping it's a better experience!

Kind of. The boy cat (Jack) isn't really doing anything that he wasn't before, he's just incorporating Em and her stuff in his routine. Especially after I've given/am about to give her a bottle of breast milk - then it's a challenge to keep him away from it. When he's not hyper, we're actually okay - he sits at my feet when I'm holding Em the way he always has. It's just when he has extra energy that I worry. I can always tell when he's reached that point because his eyes sort of widen and go all black (think of the Mom!bear from Brave - you can tell the difference by the eyes).
The girl cat (Missy) I've been making a point to let sit on me and chew her favorite blanket in my lap when I don't have Em, but she still wants to constantly sit on my chest. Two years ago, it was like pulling teeth to get her to come sit with me - now she doesn't want to be anywhere else. I don't know if she doesn't know/care that Em is there and is just trying to do her thing anyway, or if she's jealous and is trying to get in between us. What I do know is that she's willing to step on Em to get there, and I'm not okay with that.
I cried this morning because Elizabeth's newborn outfits are starting to fit a big snug. We're going to try and get through some unworn outfits this weekend but will have some we never wear. She's growing up

I wore one last pregnancy and his pregnancy. They are hard to get into at first and the first day or two I had a little muffin top above the corset but t NEVER hurt and I was able to wear it 12 or more hours a day. The muffin top wasn't too extreme an by day 3 or 4 I was able to pull it all the way to my bra so that went away. Yours may be too small.
We didn't get to wear most of our newborn stuff and blew straight through to 0-3. My first wore her newborn for over a month so this is a change.
Same. Holly grew out of Carters 0-3 months this week and is only fitting in 3 months. Carters fits her so much better than gap, which seems to run big.
DS is now done with Newborn size at 5 weeks. I was in denial for a day but our little chunky bear is now fitting better in the 0-3 size . Now I understand why people say they grow up so quick I feel like I blinked and he went from barely being able to fit into newborn size to barely being able to squeeze into them ! Ahhhh pretty sure I cried my eyes out packing all the newborn clothes up to store away
Add me to the swollen feet list. It hurt to bend them enough to walk down stairs & shoes were not happening. My mom went out and bought me a pair of giant men's sketchers flip flops so that I could leave the house.
I just gave birth to a 10 lb baby last night, and this afternoon I got out the onesie we got to take her home in and just started laughing. This girl might not fit into any of her newborn outfits. I'm just happy we could squeeze her into a newborn size swaddle bag we got her - it put her to sleep instantly. She might be able to wear it for a week or two.

Anyone suffering from food aversions now? I can't stand meat and I am considering cutting it out of my diet completely... This goes for white and red meat.

Yes! Same as when I was pregnant. I really have no interest in chicken still, and that used to be my go-to. I could eat all the red meat, though.
Pollie has been a great sleeper since day one, never any problems sleeping in her basinette by herself. Well ever since she woke up this morning every nap she has to either be on me or she's been able to lay next to me in bed. Every time I've moved her to her basinette she wakes up within two minutes but will fall right back asleep once I pick her up and put her on my chest. I really hope this is just a quick day thing and come tonight she'll be able to sleep in her basinette agakn
Had a friend over today to meet Harper. She got her a Sofie (I was dying to have one). Best part? I finally opened the bottle of Moët that has been sitting on our fridge for 14 months, and I may be on my 4th glass...
Anyone thought of doing some sort of "ticker change" for the number of weeks for our little ones? I'm not real creative so I don't know how it would work... Just a thought

This is our Sunday. Our baby is weird, this is how he sleeps.
For or some reason, it never thinks I'm awake during MOTN feedings.

Corbin is 1 month today. I may or may not have teared up a little. He's growing up too fast.
