So at 39 weeks I just got my first rude comment/question. While walking in the park a couple approached while I was having one of my contractions.. "oh are you having contractions?". I respond "that's our hope haha" and then... "well have you lost your mucus plug??".........

***Damn Boxes***
I really hope you asked an equally personal question back!
YES!
No but since she asked, I was kind enough to discribe my bloody show to her and her husband... you know, since they wanted to know so badly. Lol
And for tonight's grilling excitement..... Apparently a mouse decided to make its home in our grill. Damn thing was almost incinerated. Rocky Mountain living at its finest lol.

Omg we had a mouse that kept coming back... turns out she was preggo cause the third time we found her she had 4-5 babies attached and a couple adults hanging around inside. Hubby had to relocate them, power wash the grill with dish soap then bleach. And we moved the grill to another location before they finally got the hint. It took us cleaning it out 5 times before we did the power washing. Don't make the mistake we did by not completely scrubbing it down and moving it. They will return!!!

My puppy will not leave my side today... Pregnancy hormones have me seriously wondering if he knows something I don't about when this baby is coming
My mind also goes there whenever my dog is extra affectionate with me, especially since she avoided me like the plague throughout most of this pregnancy.

The last few days my pup has been following me around. I don't know if he's just reassured himself MH isn't leaving again since coming home from deployment or if he can sense something. We've also been decluttering/packing parts of the house which makes him nervous, so that could be it too.

The decluttering/packing makes sense... Maybe it's that and not his 6th sense about when my water will break! Haha

My male cat has been inseparable from me the last few weeks. I was so hopeful it meant something but alas... Still pregnant. 39 weeks Monday.
Restless legs can suck it! The last two nights I've only gotten 4 hours of sleep. I can't fall asleep till 1am the DS wakes me up at 5:30am Saturday night and 4:30 tonight. I can not get back to sleep after. I'm exhausted.
Oddly enough considering I am 39 weeks pregnant I feel pretty comfortable besides the hideous rash and itching on my stomach, I think I feel better then I have during most points in my pregnancy. I am shocked by this. By 29 weeks with my twins I felt like I was literally at deaths door for the whole last month of that pregnancy. I am excited though that there is no more than 10 days left!!!!
My SO came he from driving at 1am. Instead of letting me sleep he wants to talk and catch up. So it is now 4am. I am still awake and he is sleep. It is going to be a long day at work tomorrow since I cannot fall back asleep...
NBR- You know that Anna Kendrick song You're Gonna Miss Me? The line where she says "you're gonna miss me by my walk you're gonna miss me by my talk ohhh" I always hear it as saying "you're gonna miss me by my taco" which I just assumed is slang for vagina. Seems like a valid reason to assume someone will miss you.
Whoa, 4 new babies on the birth announcement thread...it really is June! We should resurrect the thread on when everyone thought their babies would come and see who has psychic prediction powers.

I hate the new ads that pop up at the bottom of the screen and make it so you click on it no matter what you do. I don't want a SAGE security system. I just want to bump in peace!! And if I clear it off the screen, I don't want it to pop back up as soon as I move to a different screen!
A random piece of advice that occurred to me the other day but isn't worth starting a thread for: If you have long/thick hair, do something to contain it before you go to bed at night just in case. I've been putting mine in two French braids. I went to the hospital last time with my hair down and loose, and by the time I thought to do anything with it I was hooked up to all kinds of things and the nurse had to throw it in a messy bun for me. I ended up laboring for 25 hours, then hemorrhaging, then being cathetered and too weak to deal with my hair for days... With the result being that I had that same janky birds' nest in my hair until I was finally discharged from the hospital. In the grand scheme of things it's not that big a deal, but I do shudder every time I see a photo of myself in the hospital with that three-day-old tangle of hair piled on my head. This time I'm being proactive. If sh*t goes down again, I can live with three-day-old braids.
@MynaBird my hair is pretty fine and medium length but I also ended up with gross sweaty hair last time so thanks for reminding me. Along the same lines, I set an outfit next to my hospital bag this time too so if I end up going to the hospital in the middle of the night again, I'm not scrambling for something to wear and thinking "I wish I'd washed my really comfy yoga pants" at 2 am when I'm in labor. It's just a pair of yoga pant capris and a big comfy maternity tee, but it's socially acceptable and it will be as comfy as it's possible to be while I wait for a bed.
@MynaBird I've got fine/medium hair so I definitely intend to put it up in a quick ponytail before leaving the house. I wish I could do something more but I'm kind of incompetent when it comes to doing my own hair.
@alitria That's something I hadn't thought of, thanks for bringing that up! I packed a maxi dress to wear on the way home from the hospital but I'll definitely set out another one too.

That's great advice! With W, all of our first pictures together I have a bird's nest too. Maybe if I braid my hair every night and I'm more "camera ready" LO will finally decide to make his appearance.
I really want to have this baby, I have been at this point all week (due today). Driving into my neighborhood today I see that the neighborhood garage sale is the 10th and 11th. Now I am even more adamant that he comes out right now because I don't want to miss a stupid garage sale because my induction is the 10th. Are pregnant lady hormones just plain rediculous or what?!
Adding random stuff to my labor and delivery play list and just added Hangin Tough. Played it and thought my husband would bop along to it with me. No. He said "who is this?" I looked in awe at him and said "New Kids on the Block" and figured it would jiggle a memory of awesomeness loose. No. He said he never listened to them and doesn't know he song. Who the hell did I marry?!?! He is 36 and was in prime NKOTB age range. Baffled by his lack of culture.

HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE are you sure he's not an alien infiltrator or never told you he grew up Amish or something?
Random question - anyone who has had both a boy and girl pregnancy felt that girls make you more emotional? I am a downright hormonal disaster at this point (38 weeks)... and I'm just curious if it could be extra girl hormones or something.
Likewise, it could just be dealing with a pre-schooler and toddler this time around that is really taking its toll on me. I have been downright mean to my kids today and I'm ready to be loving Mommy again...

What extra girl hormones would she possibly have? Sorry. Hormonal disaster is normal and not related to LO's sex (at least not for about 13yrs)

Maybe not extra hormones, I just meant the different hormonal make-ups of girls vs boys... wondering if that somehow could affect us, as the mother, differently... haha just trying to justify my psychotic episodes lately that I fortunately avoided with the last two go-rounds...
