Maybe this should go in UO thread tomorrow but I don't think Bridesmaids is that funny. There were some good parts but it's way too long and overall pretty stupid. Yet I love the Hangover movies.
All this 36 week talk is freaking me out. Like I said in the past I'm assuming I'll go late so to have a baby in late May or early June will mess with my plan. I'm almost 33 weeks so I still should have plenty of time.
@WinniethePoohsPants HAHAHA!!! Well the invitation was super werid, it didn't say she was registered anywhere (THANK GOD). It was just a fill in invite and the FOR: was MIL. At the bottom the host handwrote "It's a Grandma Shower" probably because she knew people would be so confused, as they already came to my regular normal baby shower.... And I am for sure NOT getting her anything.
Is it bad if I strategically time my stops at McDonald's for breakfast now because I feel like the people are starting to know me???
I also cried a little tear over the loss of other board It was a beautiful thing. RIP
Nope. The first time someone asks "no onions on that burrito, right?" at Taco Bell I start frequenting another one in town until they ask me. It's a cycle.
@bankssl1 this is going to be epic! I love that she is still going through with it and that it seems like the host kind of half-assed the invites. Please keep us updated with the shenanigans that happen! Also I find it hilarious that she's posted everything she's gotten the baby on Facebook. It such an AW thing to do but then again, only an AW would ask that you not invite people to the baby shower for YOU so that they didn't get double invited to that and a grandma shower....
Just got back from lurking May's baby announcement thread, first off -sooo cute! Secondly, some of these babies are arriving naturally at 37 weeks - which of course is giving me a mini panic attack. For me, that's two weeks from now. How are you 36 weekers coping with this?? I still don't have my car seat installed!!
I keep asking my H to do it and he's like, "I will, I will". Since my OB said there is a possibility she comes in the next two weeks I am just going to hope he can do it on his own sometime before we leave the hospital. He did already watch a video on installation so maybe I am underestimating him....it's more or less FTM jitters.
*breathes* Okay, guys. I'm going to do it. I'm going to go lurk May's birth announcements and try to not panic that there are no months prior to ours left to lurk.
GoldenmamaJ Oh I will be updated you all for sure. I can't wait to see how its decorated, what she gets, whos all there... oh man. I hope I stop by around gift time!! I also hope she posts on FB that she is having this Shower for herself so maybe other people will understand her level of crazy.
Dh is putting our car seat in this weekend, 36 weeks. You know, just in case. I don't wanna end up like my friend who went into labor at 36+4 and they just threw the box in the car
This is LITERALLY what happened to us with DD2. I was even 36+4. My water just decided to break while I laying on the couch eating a hotdog.
She was set off by IHOP. My fault she says cause I really wanted to go there for lunch. Lol now I refuse to go to IHOP until after 37 weeks.
I asked my sister last week what happened with her youngest who was born at 34 weeks (on her 5th pregnancy, after 4 full term babies). She said she had sex and then her uterus just kept contracting until the baby was born. So now at 33 1/2 weeks I'm sort of terrified of orgasms...but, y'know, not enough to stop having 'em.

Oh my god that gif.
I just searched for "yolo" and this was literally the first thing that came up. How could I not?
I'm so glad alot of the regulars are back! I have a Grandma Shower update for y'all!! I'm going to stop by the shower for 30-45 min next Saturday, only because it's on the way to my neices dance recital and I will have an excuse to leave early. I thought I was going to be able to drag H there but he conveniently scheduled for our driveway to be re done that day...
My awesome MIL has also posted every.single.thing. she has bought DS on FB.. I guess to show how awesome she is?? Literally not one thing is needed.. DS now has THREE ride on fire trucks at this point.(H is a fireman). wtf lady.
Please please start a thread and let us know all the details! Grandma shower. Snort.

I have to say (and i hope i don't jinx us) that I am surprised at how many of us still have inside babies! I mean, we've only had one reg give birth right?

Seriously! I was lurking through May and there were tons of them giving birth in early April at 36 weeks. And I think July's announcement thread already has a few announcements on it.
I feel like we've also got a much smaller group of regulars (you know, because we're DST exclusive mean girls )than some of the other boards too though so a smaller group of people will go early based off of percentages
I hate dates. I've started taking evening primrose oil. I don't know if it really helps, but I feel like it couldn't hurt!
I've been putting them in a smoothie. I just tried to eat one plain and started gagging because it looked like a cockroach. No way.
Stupid question - when you make them in the smoothies, have you noticed they all gather at the bottom? I've tried manually chopping, putting them in a food processor and blending them with the rest of the smoothie and it all clumps. I can't tell if I just have a crappy blender or what.

Is that a euphemism?

There are quite a bit in the bottom of mine too. My blenders not great but I think since they are still kinda chunky even after blending that happens. I've been using those jumbo fat straws.

I woke up, packed a bag, and was at the hospital within a few hours and was already at 7. I legit slept through the beginning part of labor.
