I'm feeling inspired by these pregnant longer than last time posts, I am 33 weeks tomorrow, had my son at 34 and I'm really hoping to make it to 37 weeks this time! It's good to see other moms having success!
If I can make it to May 22nd, I will be 37 weeks and officially beating my record from last time. Fingers crossed, I'm hoping for a 38+ weeker this time!
I just want to make it through the rest of these show costumes and then baby girl can come.... I'm 36 weeks, and while yeah, I want her to bake the full 40, I just want to be comfortable again!!!
Wahoooo for all the mamas making it longer than last time. I won't go longer than my son BUT! I am a month past my goal date and a week and a half past the typical delivery date for babies with Ds!

You are a straight up rock goddess.
Great job to all the STMs cooking as long as they can and passing those early FTM dates!
So happy for all you ladies hitting milestones! I'll be the opposite and hoe baby girl doesn't go past her brothers. They were 40+4 and 40+2. I'll be super happy with 39+5! My MILs birthday is 2 days past my due date and I don't want the baby born that day. Just because MIL keeps saying that's the day she'll be born. I just don't want her to be right, or I'll never hear the end of it!

I don't feel the need to go any longer than I did the last time (40w4d). I'd be happy with anything after 38w4d this time around (the day after one of my bestie's vow renewal ceremony). I've been super uncomfortable since like 28 weeks, so I'm ready to move on to the next stage (sleeplessness and sore boobs, but an outside baby that I can pass off to DH).
I've made it 3 weeks longer than last time. 2 days until 37 weeks! Saw OB today and I'm not dilated at all and the baby is head down so that's good news. However, I tested positive for Group B Strep (AKA butt swab). Boo. Since the first progressed very quickly, I have to book it to the hospital as soon as something happens so I get on the antibiotics right away.

On the plus side, you LOs birthday always gets to take priority
I had the group b test yesterday and was totally dreading them doing it themselves but thankfully they just handed me the swab and told me to swab the hoohah and the back and give it to the lab. Thank the Lord they didn't have to do it to me themselves!

Is it weird that I'd rather the doc/nurse does it? Mostly because I don't think I could reach at this point. ETA: I have trouble wiping my butt most days.
Also, my esthetician was the first person besides me to feel baby girl kick yesterday. DH almost got the honor, but he's been deployed since before she started kicking regularly and he doesn't come home until this weekend. He almost made it. I was a little bummed out about it.

It totally could have been a gas bubble. Easy to confuse the two. Therefore, it never happened...
Had the hospital tour today. When I had my first son we lived in Santa Barbara and that hospital is basically a resort, and I miss it. It had jetted bathtubs and that's where I spent the first half of labor. SOAKING IN A HOT JETTED BATHTUB! They also had room service. I could order whatever I wanted and however much I wanted, so I'd order enough for me and hubs. Here, the cafeteria is only open for lunch and breakfast. 0_o But I do like how nursing friendly they are. The SB hospital wasn't so nursing friendly. It wasn't awful, but there's actually a petition to make it more nursing friendly.
I just added tots to my list of foods I expect people to bring me when I'm in the hospital. My favorite sandwich place on earth is just up the road and there's a turkey and avocado sandwich of my dreams that will be mine and my favorite sushi buddy has promised to bring me delicious, delicious RAW sushi. If it's wrong to have actual plans for who is bringing me food after labor, I don't want to be right. I've got nine months of cravings to appease. Have I packed my hospital bag? Still no. Do I have a plan and a schedule of who will be bringing me food? Since around month five. Priorities. Mine are in order.
I just found out my Dr will be on Vacation the week I'm due.... And I do NOT like the Dr that would be delievering DS if my Dr is not there.. Instant panic mode.
almostpriceless haha!! Its actually this Saturday and I don't think I'm going to be able to go. Its at 10am which I think is weird.. but my neice's first dance recital is that day too. I tried really hard to make it work so I could stop by for at least a little bit to check things out but I just can't make it work. BUT I can tell you for sure, there will be PLENTY of pics on social media so I can def update ya'll with what things looked like, what she got, etc
I've made it to 35 weeks, so officially past when I delivered last time! I hope to make it to 37, or better yet, 38 weeks this time. I also hope not to go to exactly 41 so he doesn't share MIL's birthday :-P
I have my next appointment at 36 weeks and 3 days (it was supposed to be at 37 weeks, but that's just the way the doctor's availability and my schedule worked out) and then I move on to weekly appointments. Still waiting to hear back on my GBS results.

No, but I just was dreading that lol. Thankfully I figured out how to do it. I wasn't really that hard when you've got a toilet to sit on to help.
36 weeks and 5 days....my typically innie belly button is now an outie and it literally happened overnight. It was completely normal before I went to bed. Naturally, I did what any normal 31 year old woman would do and I cried to my husband about how I hope it goes back to normal after the baby is born and he proceeded to laugh at me. It doesn't help that I also only slept about 3 hours last night, and I am blaming that for my wacky emotions this morning. Happy Friday to you all!
@jbailey213 don't worry, it will go right back in mine popped out really late with DS, and this time around it was like "oh hey you just found out you're pregnant? I might as well just pop out now."

I realize that I was being a total nutcase when I got upset about it. It's such a silly thing to care about! It didn't happen with my first so I was foolishly thinking it would never happen to me haha. I will just have to enjoy having an outie for the next little while.

When I was pregnant with DS, I got really upset over the linea negra, I definitely cried over that haha. Two years later, it still hasn't 100% gone away (it did get pretty light by the time I got pregnant with #2), but luckily has not gotten any darker with this pregnancy. That's my cosmetic thing that I care about, and it's really minor too, and in the end I'm going to be rocking a tankini this summer regardless so no one would see it anyway.
Ahsndbrj! I just want to call my doctor! Not possible! So I sent an email a few days ago that went to the wrong doctor. Instead of forwarding it for me she just responds, "You need to email (your other doctor.)" I thought I did! So now it's going to be another few days before I get an actual answer and it's probably going to be something like, "Either come in or don't. It's up to you." And I probably won't get this answer until the day before my regular appointment.
Sorry for the rant. I'm super cranky lately and a DELIGHT to be around!
I've been super hot lately (day and night) so I have been using the AC at work and home. My co-workers have now started wearing jackets even though it's almost 80 degrees outside. Lol. I tell them "sorry but this baby is like a heater!!"
This mom is starting to fall apart. Almost looked like I would be having him yesterday, oddly enough my grandmas 90th. After not a hint of swelling so far in my pregnancy my right leg ballooned up over the course of an hour with pitting edema and I had to spend 6 hrs in l&d because they were concerned about a clot. Thankfully no clot, and also pre e was ruled out too. Totally strange.
I had no swelling this whole pregnancy, and my doctor even mentioned on Monday, oh you're not swollen at all. Well yesterday both feet swelled up throughout the day. Thanks for jinxing me Doc!

That's funny! At my appt Thursday my dr told me that I had the most slender feet and ankles for a pregnant lady. Next day I'm in the hospital lol!

I have the largest sweet tooth in the world right now. I want some cake, brownies, donuts, sherbert ice cream, and cookies. I need my SO and kids to either make another grocery run or get to baking!!
There is a frozen yogurt shop right next to the yoga studio where I go for prenatal classes. I've stopped in after class quite a few times and am totally planning to get some yogurt today. I don't mention this to my husband, even when he suggests going out for frozen yogurt or ice cream later that same day.

This is 100% me right now. Especially the sherbet. I have downed two containers in the past week...yikes. And we've made 2 pans of rice krispie bars this weekend that are not going to make it past Monday. I don't know what has come over me!
@jbailey213. Yes. Double Yes. Sherbert hits the spot all the time. But rice crispy trests sound good too. I am stuck on lemon or pink lemonade sherbert. So off to coldstone or small pints of hagen daas.
