Kasper Warren Patrick was born at 38+4 on April 24 at 5:43 pm. He's 7lbs 8oz and 19 inches. I was lucky to have a very smooth induction and labor, and only pushed for 13 minutes versus the 3 hours it took last time. Big brother and little brother just met and my heart melted.
For some reason I can't post a pic, but Luna Mary was born 4/25 at 12:11pm weighing 8lb 2oz and measuring 19in. She is a little miss piggy and has been breast feeding almost every hour! I already took her for a walk and had some delicious jello. Life is good!
Our beautiful Adelyn Kate arrived on April 21st at 4:31pm weighing in at 7lbs 12oz and measuring in at 20" long. After being induced in the morning of the 20th, she decided she wanted to wait to make her appearance on the 21st to share her grandpas birthday. Everyone is happy and healthy!
Trevor Lucas arrived 4/26 at 8:33am by emergency csection 9lbs 7oz 22in long at 37 weeks 1 day. I was scheduled for RCS 5/10 but he had another plan. Everyone is healthy and doing well!
Archer Jameson entered the world on 4/27 at 8:17pm at 39w+3 . 7lb 15oz and 21 inches long. Labor began at ~7:30pm on Tuesday night. My water broke at around 1:30am, and we were admitted to the hospital shortly after. After 45 minutes of pushing, he was born Wednesday night. He's absolutely perfect and we are head over heels in love.
Roland Jeffry Mark was born 4/28 at 5:20pm weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces and 20 inches long. I came in on Tuesday 4/26 for an induction and after 36 hours of "prep" meds I started pitocin on 4/28 at 7am. The doctor broke my water at 1:15. By 4:30 I was about 4-5 cm dilated. At 5:10 felt the need to start pushing and baby Row was born approximately 8 minutes later. Despite wanting an epidural this little guy came so fast I never had a chance to even order one.
Everyone's doing well and we are over the moon in love with our little guy.
Welcomed Philip Radford, the absolute love my life into the world today April 29 @ 7:55AM weighing 7 lbs 7 oz after being induced and 14 hours of labor.
Holly Magnolia was born at 10:42 AM on April 29th. After 18 hours of labor and pushing for 3 it became clear that she could not fit through my pelvis. She was born via c-section at 9lbs 12oz and 21". Her head was bruised and swollen from being stuck in my pelvis for so long and I burst a lot of blood vessels in my face working so hard to deliver vaginally, but we made it through with no significant distress. I'm feeling pretty beat up but so happy. She reminds me of Mr. Magoo and I love her so much.
Team green turned team BLUE! Hudson Matthew was born 4/28 at 10:48am. This big boy is 9lbs 5oz and 20.5 inches long. We are both doing great now but birth did not go as "planned". Labor came on fast an furious when my water started leaking at 4:30am. I had a backache all night. I got in the shower and contractions came on every 2 minutes mild at first but picked up quickly and became intense. We wen t to the hospital as advised and when I got checked I was 8-9cm. I labored some more and made it to 10 cm med free!! When it came time to push things were going well but my baby was "sunny side up" and his heart rate was dropping to an unsafe level with each push. Apparently things turned for the worst extremely quickly I was rolled down the hallways (running) and was put under for the c-section. My husband wasn't even allowed in. Scary scary moment. Baby was out in 5 minutes and is sound amazing and I'm feeling much better today!! Nursing like a champ : )
After being on home bed rest for 3 days, then placed in the hospital for bed rest for another 8, I was induced at exactly 36 weeks due to history of heart condition and the stress pre eclampsia was putting on my body.
Cervadil* was started the night before, and pitocin at 7 AM on April 26. I got the epidural around 10 am. At 4:45 they told me I was dilated to 5 and then at 5:30 I was checked again because I felt a lot of pressure. I was told I was ready and would start pushing in a few minutes.
Baby Ronen Ezra was born at 5:51 pm at 5.5 lbs and 17.9 inches long. We were able to get some skin to skin, but he did have to go to nursery because he wasn't regulating temp and had fast breathing.
Another few in and out of hospital for new as my preeclampsia got worse after delivery, but we are home and adjusting now. Overall, a positive induction story and the entire experience made me fall in love with baby Ro and my DH even more than I thought was possible!
Colton Alexander was born Saturday 4/30 at 10:25 am. 7 pounds 11 ounces, 20 Inches long. Arrived at the hospital at 4cm at 3:45am yesterday after being in labor since 2:45pm Thursday. I had nubane around 4:30, epidural placed at 5:30 and was 10cm by 8. The doctor said that since I wasn't feeling any pressure to push, that I could hold off and "labor down" and I'm glad I did. I pushed for an hour starting at 9:30 and the whole delivery experience was much easier than I anticipated. Breastfeeding is the hardest thing I've ever done and neither of us are taking it well. His Daddy & I are so in love
Our team green turned to team blue!!!!! Declan Michael was born at 4:48am on 4/28 at 39.0 weeks. I had been having promodrol labor since the previous weds ( I went into L&D twice to only be sent home because my contractions weren't making any cervical change). I went to the OB for my 39 week appt on Weds, still contracting a pretty consistent pattern and was checked to be 3cm. Doc said that I was very ripe and he would see if they could induce me the next day, but the hospital was full. I left the doc appt feeling sad and disappointed and still in pain so I went to the local mall grabbed a salad in the food court and walked 2 miles doing laps! I picked up my older two kids from school and starting to contract again. They became very strong and were coming every 4.5 min for about 1.5 hours but I refused to cry wolf again and go into the hospital so we ate dinner..(my six year old asked if I was sleeping during dinner b/c the contractions were so bad!). I went up stairs to lay down after dinner and with one intense contraction my water broke! We quickly organized the kids and set off to the hospital. I got to the hospital at 8pm and was a 4cm, quickly asked for my epidural which was placed by 830pm and they started Pitocin at 9pm because my contractions pretty much stopped once my water was broken. I labored on the pit all night..was able to catch a few naps...I called the nurse around 415 b/c I could completely feel my left side. She checked me and I was at 6 and she straight cath'd me and turned me onto my left side to help the epidural drain to my left side. Well 5 minutes after she adujusted me onto my side I rang and said I thing I am complete because I feel an intense pressure and water is oozing out of me. She came in and checked...I was 10cm and 100% effaced. I went from 6-10 in 5 min...she called the doctor and she suited up. I pushed him out in 1.5 contractions took less than 5 minutes!!! Declan was 9lbs 2 oz and 21 inches long. He is breastfeeding great and he completes our family!!!!!
Our beautiful son Noah River was born on the 25th of April via emergency caesar after a 24 hour marathon.... But he is just beautiful and healthy and we are finally home. :-) We are getting spoiled by daddy now. I cannot believe how many beautiful babies were born since I was last here on our forum! :-) How exciting! Congrats to all the other new moms.
Eliott Thomas was born via emergency c-section on April 29 at 10:18pm after I failed to dilate to more than 8 cm. I've had very significant health problems discovered soon after/thanks to his birth (I'll post about that separaly). Here is my handsome little guy who weighed in at 7lbs 8pz and measured 20.5in.
Henry Edward was born 7lbs 8oz and 21" at 6:31pm on May 1st in his 39th week after my water broke spontaneously a bit after 4:30pm that day. Contractions came fast and furious-- by the time we got to the hospital 30min later, I was dilated to 9cm! He was breech though, so they had to give me medicine to slow the contractions so that I could avoid an emergency general anesthesia csection. The meds worked, I got my spinal, and we got to proceed to the OR as soon as they were prepped! He's nursing well so far We love this little guy, and his big brother is so enamored with him too! Pics to follow.
Dante Maverick arrived on his actual due date after 12 hours of labor from my very first contraction! No epidural, but laughing gas is my best friend. Lost more blood than they would have liked, but an IV and a catheter helped me avoid a transfusion.
Our baby bluejay was born at 3:21pm on May 1st weighing 7lb 7oz and 18.75in long. I was actually at the hospital for an NST and was having regular contractions but not in active labor. The doc was concerned about sending me home based on how dilated I was, the contractions being close together, and knowing I needed StrepB antibiotics. We were admitted around 1am. I ended up needing pitocin, but once I got that around 11am things moved quickly. Epidural, they broke my water, and about 10 minutes of pushing later he was here! He's a champ and we love him so much!
Madilynn was born at 37wks 2days. My water broke while I was sleeping at 4:30 in the morning. 17 hours in labor with 30 minutes of pushing all medication free and she was here at 6lbs 2oz and 18.5" long. We were very surprised she was early but so blessed and excited at our perfect little gift! Both mommy and baby are home, doing well!
Our son Hudson was born May 2nd at 3:44am at 38+5 weeks. Labor started fast and furious at 10pm on May 1st. Got to the hospital and admitted by 11pm with contractions 2-3min apart. Epidural in place around midnight. Felt pressure at 2:30am and was almost fully complete. Doctor finished breaking my water and 15 minutes of pushing and he was born! 6lb 8oz, 18.75in long.
Welcome baby Nate! He arrived at 39w1 day after my water broke as a slow trickle lasting all day! He is 7lbs 2oz and we are so in love! He was born via C-section and it was an amazing experience
Grayson Cole was born 5/1 at 8:26pm all on his own! We had a scheduled induction for that night and didn't need it. He came at 39w2d, weighed 8lbs 8oz and was 20in long. Everyone is in love
Tristan Alexander born May 2ND 1154 am at 38 weeks 1 day due to moms wonky bp. 8 lbs 4 oz and 20.5 inches long. Got to spend some time in the NICU due to inhaling some fluid as he was entering the world but all is well now.
Our sweet baby boy arrived April 28th at 5:54 pm! 7 pounds 5 ounces and 20 inches long! He was born via c-section after a failed induction at 36 weeks 6 days. He spent a little time in nicu but we were both released today! We are so in love with him. I still can't believe he is finally here.
Maggie Lee Nealy arrived on May 1st at 3:58 am. We went in team green and came out team pink...for the third time! The birth could not have been more perfect. We're so in love!
Samantha Sue born at 6:22 am on 5/3/16. 8 lbs 7 oz and 20 inches long with 10 fingers and 10 toes (: We're both doing well! I was induced last night and today was her original EDD. Excited daddy is in love with her!
Fitz Carmichael Jenson arrived 5/2/16 @ 23:23. He was 7lbs 11 oz and 21 inches long. My water broke while at work but contractions didn't start until later in the evening. The whole experience was great and we are so happy!
Cora Raelynn was born via repeat c section on May 2nd. She was 8 lbs 2 oz, 20.5 inches. I've been having a better recovery this time around and I had a great recovery last time. We were discharged yesterday, just one day after my c section. We're all in love and she couldn't be more perfect to complete our family.
Elijah Michael Ray was born 1035am on May 4. At 38 weeks 6 days Via emergency csection. My bps were sky high and out of control so they inducted me on may2. After 2 days of no progression. I had to have a emergency c-section. He is too beautiful For words. My husband daughter and myself are thrilled to have him in the family. Pictures to follow.
Esli born 7:24pm May 4 at 37 weeks 5 days via induction due to pre-e. She weighed in at 8lbs 9oz, 21.5" long. Started my induction last night around 4:30 with a foley balloon which dilated me to a 6 by the time morning came. They started the pitocin around 7 and contractions came strong and fast. Baby was being stubborn and wasn't wanting to help out mommy so with contractions off the charts coming every minute with peaks, I vouched for the epidural. They had to make me a special bag without morphine so the dose only lasted about 30 minutes. Pushed for 30 minutes and she was here with a vengeance. She broke her clavicle but should heal up nicely in the next 2 weeks. She surprised the pants off of daddy and everyone else, everybody was sure she was a boy! I'll post pics later.
Connor Luke was born on May the 1st at 10:15 am, weighing in at 7 pounds and 1 ounce, 21 inches long just 3 days before my due date. The birth was great but the next two days I kind of got hit hard with the baby blues. I'm a first time mum and didn't know that hormones and body changes could affect me like this! Crying for no reason, just felt really depressive. Didn't help that breastfeeding doesn't work and I put myself under pressure. now being home, everything changed! I can relax and enjoy my miracle! He is such a relaxed and content baby and definitely patient! Now today I cried again, but tears of joy!!! It's crazy what our bodies and souls can go thru! But most importantly, I have a healthy baby boy in my arms that I was hoping and praying for, for so long!
