The octopus on the crib is my inspiration for the room. We need to get that framed up, add purple/lavender bedding and accessories, under the sea accessories and I think some of these cute decals. I love how it's coming together!!!
@Bubblegum5586 what a difference the paint makes! I love the colors you went with. Where are you going to put the decal? It fits perfectly with everything!

Well in the last two weeks I have changed the dresser knobs (they were black), changed the lamp shade from white to burlap, bought the cute woodland print from etsy, my mom hung the curtains, and I made the growth chart.
I had my first person out in public recognize that I was pregnant and let me go ahead of them in line when purchasing the board for the chart. It wasn't that heavy, but I really had to pee so I went with it. Ha!

I will post a pic later but the nursery is empty, painted, and ready to go! Shout out to my amazing husband for spending all weekend painting the room literally a shade lighter than what it already was to accommodate my insanely picky taste, all while I napped with the dog because I was feeling under the weather. My shower is this weekend and the furniture should be delivered soon so I'm so excited to get everything put together and having my ideas come to life!
midwestbaby Who is the etsy vendor that did your woodland animal print? I like the style of it and want to check out the shop. TIA!
The etsy shop is called trafalgarssquare.

We decorated our nursery gender neutral with DD1, since the plan was for another baby, so no changes needed in there now that we know we're having a boy other than adding a few superhero art pieces instead of the flower stuff I had when it was DD's room.
We did just completely re-do the second bedroom though including floors, paint and all new furniture for DD's big girl room. After all that work, I'm nested out for a while, so the finishing touches and reorganization of the nursery is going to wait for a few more weeks/months.
I finally got things pretty settled in the nursery. We just need the baby to come. ....and maybe switch out pictures that we had in frames from the last nursery, lol.
@midwestbaby I LOVE that print! My husband does watercolor painting in his spare time and I've tasked him with painting it for me along with little individual pics of the animals. So cute!
Things are coming together! We had our baby shower yesterday, so I wanted to get the room presentable so guests could see! (andplusalso - Can I say how long it took me to find apple baby decor? I had my heart set on it, but it was harder to find than if I had done like... planes or something. I think it was worth it!)
We also did a woodland/fox theme! Just finished it on Mother's day (at night so sorry for the dim picture!) and I am so in love. Both my dh and I go and sit in here all the time now It feels so relaxing to have the room ready for whenever this little guy decides to arrive.
Here's our mostly finished fairytale forest nursery! Still need to add a few finishing touches, organize the closet, maybe add some floating shelves for books and doo dads. That bassinet is the one me, my brothers and my father slept in and is just in there for looks right now. We have a halo and pack n play in our bedroom and then the plan is to add a floor bed when she's ready to move in here. And yes. That is a dragon in our baby girl's nursery. DH and I are fantasy nerds
The nesting bug has finally set in! DH finished building the shiplap wall a few weeks ago, so now I get to start decorating. Can't wait to see it come together!
Love all the nursery pics. I don't have much done but my mom is great with decorating and did this for me. She also picked out the floral wall hanging. Can't wait to finish it. I also planned on painting but then time flew by and I decided it was too much work at this point.
I'm zentangling a giraffe, elephant, and monkey to frame for my safari theme. The crib and dresser just got delivered and I'm on the edge of my seat to set them up, but DH has a crazy work week so I might have to wait until the weekend. Till then my lunchtime break will consist of drawing!!
@BrunetteBabe722Target from last baby about three years ago. They don't have it anymore. I think I paid like 200$ So not too bad. They have a ton of similar ones now.

caitlinj187 That is so adorable and I would love to have that type of patiences midwestbaby Love the whole thing. The growth chart is fantastic. carolinw I'm suc a big fan of shiplap.
I finally finished a few things for the nursery, and I have started painting! I got the go ahead during the weekend. It has been torture to not be able to help with any of the renos. Here is a fabric lined blanket and a pillow I made. Team green so we just went with neutral and colourful.
@michelle_shelle if you can crochet and sew you could definitely zentangle! It's just as relaxing and you can do it in front of the TV. I took one class, but really all you need is a good pen and paper. I'm not good at drawing anything "realistic", but this is just patterns and swirls and super easy! (Plus I use Pinterest as total inspiration
@caitlinj187 I had no idea there was a name for this! I have been doing this since highschool but just called it my doodle Art lol .. Yours looks awesome!
This app sucks a lot lately... (Won't let me do anything... ) here is my attempt at replying to @caitlinj187 I also didn't know there was a name for if. I need to check this out. Thanks!
I'm trying to post pics from my phone, and the stupid app won't let me "choose file"! Grrr. I just finished painting a piggy bank (well its actually an elephant) that DH found at a yard sale last weekend for 50 cents! It goes perfectly with our theme, and my nephew and his friend made me some elephant themed art. And a little elephant sculpture for the baby's room. I'm sad I can't share pics! Those kids are talented! ♡
Does anyone have suggested brands/type of changing pads which have the hardware which enables them to be strapped to the back of a dresser?? I can only find a naturepedic one for like $99, and would like to spend less if possible.

I ended up buying Velcro adhesives and am praying goo gone will work miracles when we don't need the changing pad anymore.

@searchingforameaning We are doing an adventure theme (gender neutral) and doing plenty of hot air balloons. Yours is looking adorable.
I'm not sure what I got myself into, but here is the accent wall. I still have many hours to go and lots of work left. We had the baby shower yesterday so now I'm even more anxious to get things going and set up and to purchase any of our missing items.
@michelle_shelle I have a friend that did this in their nursery (navy blue and white) and it looks AMAZING! Hard work but it'll be worth it!
@searchingforameaning I was thinking about trying to make my own mobile, but I don't sew... Like, at all. I found a pin on Pinterest that made it seem pretty simple, but Pinterest is good about that. How much time has that taken you so far? Has it been pretty simple?
@rikopy The stars and clouds are super fast and easy. no more than 20 min each, giving me a chance to sit and put my feet up. The hot air balloon took a lot more time - was not watching the clock - but maybe just over an hour... so I am debating if I should do more like that one, or find a different pattern that is faster. None of them were hard to make, easy for a person who has not sewn before... just how much time. Each piece of felt was only .33 cents... so its a super cheap project to experiment on.
