I'm only on page 3 of the butt baby thread but it's already made my day. Except, I laughed so hard that I peed a little, and I'm at work, so that wasn't ideal. Still worth it.
Well here goes the update. Going home for the time being. BP went down enough to where the doctor said it's probably just stress. There was a little protein in my urine so I have to do a 24 hour collection and come back tomorrow. I was apparently having regular contractions, but nothing I could actually feel so they did a cervical check and said I'm not dialated at all and cervix is still high so no risk there.
They also did an ultrasound to check size, fluid, etc. The kicker to all this... We found out little Clara is actually little Corbin. So we definitely had quite the shock today. And a bunch of phone calls to make and returns/exchanges to handle for clothes. Lol.
This also happened to a friend of mine, so it was one of my biggest non-health related fears! I mean, we would have been happy with a boy or a girl, but after this many months of thinking and planning on having one or the other, that has to be such a shock! Because of some family health issues, we did genetic blood testing early on, and one of the ancillary benefits of it was that it was able to detect an XY chromosome, so we knew with relative certainty at about 11 weeks that - as long as the lab hadn't screwed it up - we're having a boy. @dsmith211 I'm so glad you got to come home and it looks like everything is okay for now. I agree with PPs - don't be too hard on yourself about your reaction. I think feeling disappointment is the normal reaction after finding out at this point that you won't be getting the daughter you were expecting. It doesn't make you a bad person, and it doesn't mean that you won't love this little boy completely!
Does anyone else feel like they have no appetite? Compared to a month or so ago, I feel like I am barely eating.
I haven't had much of an appetite lately either. Even when I feel hungry, I can eat about 2 bites and I'm miserably full. I mentioned it to my doctor, and she said it because my stomach is so compressed at this point.
Hey, I'm not trying to make anyone feel like shit. I genuinely like the posts. I was having a horrible day yesterday, but between the new person's posts and @TXmamatobe 's "you fancy" story, they were pretty much the only things to make me laugh all day.
There's a certain new person that showed up last week on the board that I wanted to go away, but their posts are so random, that I actually find them entertaining now. I can't even believe it's a real person. It's how I imagine I'd post if I were drunk while pregnant.
I am pretty sure most of who have been around since the beginning know who you are talking about and feel the same way. LOL...oh boy

Well as it goes I actually do feel like shit now. I'm a genuine mum to be, like you I'm in my final stretch and needed an outlet. I have six children, and not much time for myself. I thought d found somewhere I could just come and talk about what I was going through, and experience what others were too so I wouldn't feel so isolated. As that's not the case I no longer feel like I'm apart of a community, I feel like I've just been ousted ,for what? i really feel let down. Don't worry ladies I will not post anything after today. I will though continue to wish all of you the best, and I hope you all enjoy your new additions, I pray you have safe deliveries and you and bubba's will make a safe transition from preggers to motherhood.x good luck.x
WHO PUTS A HIGH CHAIR COVER IN THE OVEN?!?!?! Apparently my husband, MIL, or FIL that's who. & how did I find out it was in the oven? When I started preheating the oven and rolls of smoke started coming out 20 min later...wtf people!!!

They are probably going to try to blame in on you and baby brain too!!!

Wait...uhh...are you sure it wasn't you?
Haha...I actually took a rare trip out of the house last night so I know for a fact it wasn't me!!
I really just can't deal right now. I'm hiding behind my computer monitors trying to control my laughter. This is just too much. Thank you so much, day made!

My protein came back at 400... They said they wanted me at 200... Guys who have pre e or tested.... Please educate me on what I should know before my appt tomorrow. I'm being put on bed rest but did not expect that. Is it super high or is that just a little elevated?

That's not high at all and from what I understand is fairly mild. My ob cut off is 300, 5 weeks ago my protein came back at 550 and they said it was over what they wanted and classified me with my other symptoms as mildly pre-eclamptic, but my ob assured me that protein levels have to be WAY higher for them to be talking an induction or to be talking "let's get the baby out NOW". I don't remember exactly what she said the level was, but I know it was over the 1,000 mark by quite a bit, if not more like 2,000.
As as far as what to expect, obviously every ob is different and it depends on what over symptoms you've been having and what your bp is. My ob has been monitoring me by seeing me once a week and sending me for NST's twice a week along with 24 hour urine catch once a week just so we know where I stand and can catch things before they get too severe. So far I'm progressing fairly slowly which is great news due to the fact that symptoms, high bp, and protein in urine started at 30 weeks for me. You will be ok regardless, they don't take pre-e lightly simply because it can get severe really quickly, so they will likely just be watching you closely. Good luck!
Mobile bumping sucked for me again. I wanted to gif so badly in the other thread, and none of the 3 ways that I've gotten it to work in the past worked today. Wtf? I definitely missed the drama, but it's okay because @Aquinna82 won the thread for sure, and I had a great morning with DS at his pediatric check up and the park (woo-hoo for a day off!).
I totally just went through the line at Starbucks to treat myself to a coffee (hadn't had on this week yet, suprisingly!) and the lady gave me a free chocolate croissant. You just made this pregnant lady's day
Have to make mention, that these pregnancy hormones are getting the best of me in the last few days, as this led me to happy tears haha!

I haven't been able to gif for a couple months now! I have no idea why. Are you on an iphone?
I just fell going UP the stairs at my office (caught myself with my hands, so no biggie). The best part is, I yelled OH, SHITBALLS loud enough to where the upstairs and downstairs offices could hear me...because I'm awesome like that.
I think this may have been mentioned on a past thread, but those of you who made registries at BRU, have you received your registry completion coupon yet? I did a live chat with a BRU representative a few weeks ago, and I was told that it usually arrives 6-8 weeks prior to the due date and that it could be sent via regular mail or via email. It's about 5.5 weeks until my due date, and I still haven't received mine. I really want to buy a few of the remaining items off our registry so they'll be here before LO arrives, but I was planning to wait until I got the coupon first. Those of you who have received your coupon already, when did it come and was it via email or regular mail?
@swflJDI haven't gotten anything yet, and I'm 35w2d.
Also, just a heads-up for anyone with an amazon registry. I did a help chat to ask why some items were completion eligible and not others. They told me that items eligible have to be sold by Amazon itself, "fulfilled by" doesn't count even if it was prime eligible. I bought out our amazon registry last week, so I had to go through and find a few replacement items to get the discount rather than what I originally registered for.
I can't get over how much my feet look like alien feet. Thank goodness they aren't swollen enough to hurt, but I keep accidentally catching sight of them and freaking out. Because ALIEN FEET!

Same here with the gifs... Till today it finally let me post one. I use to do the "img src" route, but now I can gif by saving the image and attaching it to the comment
@swflJD I'm 33x4 and just got a voicemail from our BRU store saying that they were putting it in the mail today. Might be worth giving them a call if you haven't heard anything from them

We're talking some E.T. level shit here...
I feel you! Sometimes I forget about how insanely swollen I am and then I look down and freak out. Then I remember even celebrities cannot escape edema. HAHA.

AAGH! Those shoes look sooooo uncomfortable. I've never been so happy to NOT be famous, just chilling in obscurity at my desk in my paneled maternity pants and comfy, giant maternity shirt eating some cadbury mini eggs...
GIFS - I can't see them either on the site. I actually didn't see the gif that I won the internet until I looked on mobile, so now I'm doubly excited to have won the internet AND gotten chocolate cake.
Dood, does anyone else look at their tiny little baby clothes and just bawl their eyes out?!
I was washing our new clothes for LO and a teeny tiny sock fell on the floor and I lost it. It's just so small. How can anything tiny enough to wear that sock even exist?!
I DID NOT HAVE THIS MUCH emotional unstability last time. Trace Adkin's "you're gonna miss this" was on the radio, and I was just driving along, SOBBING. I am so sentimental, I almost cried at the memory of swollen Kim Kardashian (we were pregnant at the same time). I miss swollen Kim.
@jagellerHAHA at least with her most recent pregnancy she resorted to slippers like a normal person. @That1didntcounthere is some more swollen kim for you.
Seriously, how hard is it for people to NOT comment on the Birth Announcements board????? /endrant
Maybe you can change the title of the board to reflect the rule? Like, "May Birth Announcement Thread--Do not comment unless to announce birth!"
People are just excited, and if they've ever clicked on the thread before it won't make them read the rules post again. If it's in the title, maybe they'll remember more easily. Perhaps.
Wow. For someone who reports people for "policing" threads this takes the cake.

It does, thank you.
Are we about to make up for how calm this board has been?
