When you have to carry your child kicking and screaming out of daycare and can't help but have a smile plastered across your face because you know you made the perfect daycare decision. Man he loves that place! Then I put him down for a rest at home (don't think he's sleeping just relaxing in his crib for a nap hour) and I did some major damage on cheetos puffs. This is the life.
I didn't see a bitchfest thread for today so my random annoyance/perplexing moment is that I just went through and updated the due date list. I would say 99% of the people I do NOT recognize their screen names. Everyone lurks or what?

@mom2adoodle I know you were being sarcastic, but still... everyone pops in AW some info then never return. This is why I haven't been on that thread since January. I wish we could condense our sticky threads somehow. I only pay attention to the sex thread now and after the late Sept ladies have their a/s, I won't pay attention to it either, but it will still be active with drive-bys lething us know what they are having.
It just occurred to me that some ladies on here are at 20 weeks, or will be this week! That seems to crazy to me that we've started reaching the "halfway" point!
@mom2adoodle and @camichael84 - Several ladies might have had an early loss and just didn't care to update a new community with that info. That is how I felt when I left May 2016 I had only been hanging around the group for like 2 weeks when it had happened and couldn't bump for a while. After that it seemed pointless to come back and say something - like hi, you don't know me, but I had a loss a few weeks ago, tell me you're sorry plz! More likely, some ladies just realized Sept 16 was not for them after initially sharing and never came back.
I'm not a fan of the stickied threads in general - I never check them!
So I had my anatomy scan at 19 weeks, but my baby was measuring 4 days past that... If my due date is September 3rd and he is four days ahead, does that mean my due date is now August 31 or is he just big?
@jessbaldwin14 Usually, EDDs don't get updated unless the baby is more than a week off, sometimes more. If your OB didn't say anything, it probably didn't change. That said, babies also come whenever they are ready, so with an early Sept. EDD, be prepared for the possibility of a mid-August baby (or a nearly October one, for that matter!)
@jessbaldwin14 - babies grow at different rates - yours might have had an fantastic growth spurt putting him four days ahead of schedule! And they also are born at various sizes (I believe anything between 5.5 lbs and 10 lbs is "normal," but that is just a number I'm pulling from my brain so it might not be the most accurate...) Your due date is really just an estimate of when you're little one is likely to arrive, but very rarely do women actually give birth on their due date. Your baby could come on August 31 or even Sept 10 - you just won't know until he decides
Someone else in my department announced her pregnancy today! I'm so excited to have someone else at work who is pregnant - I am not sure why as she and I are not particularly close but the news thrilled me!! Maybe I'll get a make a new work friend
So my husband just called me to let me know that an application he sent in last month just contacted him and they want to schedule him for an interview!! I'm so excited because he's so unhappy working two part time jobs but also because it's a real job in his field. I'm also terrified because the job is in Boise and that is far far far different than San Diego. I guess we will see what happens but I really just wanted to share!!
@marikkita12 woohoo! Very exciting! Keep us updated on how things progress. I moved thousands of miles when I was 21 to a completely brand new place, a small town, after living my entire life in a huge crowded city, and I'm still there! Brought DH along and we love it! If nothing else, at least it's an adventure together. Plus, Boise is supposed to be a great place to raise a family.
I did something similar @AlwaysAuntNeverMom except in the reverse and at 23! Moved thousands of miles away from a small town to a big city where I knew no one and didn't speak the primary language. I'm still here and I love it!
I came because I wanted some adventure then found a good job, met my boyfriend (now fiancé) and now will have my son here. His upbringing will be very different from mine but he'll have family on both sides of the country!
@jessbaldwin14 The other girls covered size differences and the EDD being estimated, but I will add that most OBs also don't change due dates after 12 weeks. Using the size as for dating is most accurate at 8-11 weeks because of the aforementioned different rates of growth and different sized babies.
My Monday bitch/random is that I HATE talking about money with my husband. And it's not because I like to go shop and don't want to hear him whine about it. I deal with all the money and pay the bills and he just has an unrealistic expectation of what we can save every month and it drives me crazy!! He acts like it just disappears into thin air and he doesn't know how! Um groceries and food in Hawaii are freaking outrageous. Sorry I stay home all day and we go through a lot of food eating all our meals here. It's not like I'm out getting my hair and nails done! Ugh.
So my husband has been looking for a new job. He works as a developer in the IT industry. He found a great company that has sucky benefits but it is exactly what he wanted. We really no benefits since there is only about 20 employees. Not such a big deal, we will just put him on my insurance.
Well THEY OFFERED HIM A JOB TODAY! The best part is.... it was 10k OVER what he asked for, which already was substantially more than he is making now. OMG I am so excited now. Now I can finish paying off our student loans and get some extra things fixed around the house!

@marikkita12 - Crossing my fingers for you guys!! DH, the Kiddos and I moved across the country (MN to TX) almost 2 years ago because I was offered a job in my chosen field. I still can't believe that I finally got to start my career and that I was unbelievably blessed enough to have such a supportive husband and kiddos. MN and TX couldn't be more different, but we're settled (for now) and happy. Definitely one of the best decisions we've made! Keep us posted!
I'm almost exclusively a mobile bumper. Did anyone else have the app change on them today? When I click on a thread, it shows up super tiny and with ads. And now, when I clicked to post, it went back to normal. C'mon bump app. You already weren't awesome. Don't be even less so.
@Sporty1216 I don't have a change yet on the mobile version, but I'm not sure if I've updated recently. I know they recently added ads on the web version, too, though, so it might end up that the mobile ones are unavoidable.
@Sporty1216 new app update here. I hate it. One of the ads is FOR the bump mobile app?! The colour scheme is better, but the general functionality seems confusing. Aiyaiyai.

I've been so MIA on here lately! I feel bad. Life has been hectic! Potty training Sebastian. Simon is turning one in a few weeks and is such a trouble maker. Wants to get into everything! Both are getting teeth! My app now has ads. So lame. I think I'm pulling back because I know I'm still pregnant for a good 5 months. That's quick but I know as a pregnant woman that is going to go so slow. I'm ok waiting for baby to come. But I'm trying not to think of baby all the time! Although this ever growing bump is making that impossible. Miss you ladies! Everytime I open this app something happens with the kids.

Everyone at work was oohing and aahing over how adorable my coworkers baby bump is in her bikini pics from Mexico. Like ok... a. My random of the day: I had the most embarrassingly weird dream early this morning.
For some reason, I was making out with Taylor Lautner (Jacob from the Twilight movies, which I've never seen because Twilight) in front of what was apparently his mom's house and she looked out the door, caught us and started screaming for us to stop and I was going to get pregnant (from kissing). We stopped and suddenly my belly swelled up to roughly real-life proportions instantaneously.
And then I woke up because my alarm was going off.
The most bizarre part, aside from the fact that I hate Twilight, is that I'm completely unattracted to Taylor Lautner (I think he's goofy looking, no offense to anyone who thinks differently) and had absolutely no reason to be thinking about him except that I was watching the Twilight "Bad Lip Reading" videos on YouTube with DH last night. I guess that was enough to stick in my brain.
I think that's officially the weirdest dream I've had yet. It even beats the one where my husband was taking a shower with roughly 40-pound newborn in a car seat and I was screaming at him that that wasn't how you gave a baby a bath.
So, I'm laying here awake in the middle of the night when I see this: Ummm...yep, that's definitely where I'm at this pregnancy. Week 15 day 7. Thanks Bump app update!
