I have also been having aches/cramps in my lower uterus. My guess this just has to do with baby dropping. But I would love for it to be a sign of labor to come.

Well, I know baby has already dropped to station -3 so keep on dropping, baby! How loooooowww can you go?

I've had really intense cramps in my lower uterus as well for the past 2 days that have stopped me in my tracks. I unfortunately don't notice LO dropping because her butt is still right under my ribs but would love for it to be a sign of things soon to come. I have my 39 week apt tomorrow and hoping for some progress because I've had no dilation the past 3 visits.
I have horrible pain in my hands and wrists that feels like carpal tunnel. Has anybody else experienced this, and is there a solution other than childbirth?

I just started to have this a few weeks ago! It has been driving me crazy. My OB said it was carpal tunnel. Unfortunately no solution other than childbirth. She said that I could wear a wrist brace while I sleep but I'm 40 weeks pregnant tomorrow so I feel like I can put up with it lol. She also said it could take up to 3 months for it to completely go away. Im going to choose not to believe that and go on thinking that it will go away the same day I pop out my LO haha.
@beccamccann Oh noooo... My husband has helped me wrap my wrist a few times but I have 3 1/2 weeks to go and I work on a computer. It even wakes me up at night!
@Missingchampagne that is so awful..so sorry you have this too! I find mine is even worse at night. I was at the grocery store today and was worried when I picked up a glass jar that I would drop it because my hands were so numb and achy. Carpel tunnel..just another pregnancy perk lol.

I would strongly suggest braces...I decided not to and now I have difficulty holding a pen or using utensils to eat because my hands go completely numb and I can't keep a grasp on anything. Head it off if and while you can.
Carpal tunnel gals - if you haven't been doing them, you may try median nerve glides. You should be able to Google some quality handouts from universities/ortho clinics. They're easy to do and can offer a lot of relief. Otherwise, splinting in neutral, avoiding repetitive movements with that UE, anti-inflammatories for pain management, avoid positions of compression such as sleeping on your hands/arms.
Pregnancy CTS is primarily attributed to buildup of edema that increases median nerve compression in the wrist. It often resolves after pregnancy, but it can be persistent. If it was to be lasting, I'd suggest seeing an orthopedic doctor/your friendly outpatient OT.
Just had irregular BH for about an hour, painless and taunting :P still kinda happening but nothing to worry about. I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow morning so I guess I can update her on this whole false labor experience while she's checkin my cervix. Sigh
My discomfort level at night is unbelievable. I haven't had to use my body pillow but I am starting to feel like my side muscles are being pulled. Tried the pillow and no luck. Super hard to turn around. My belly goes the opposite way that my body does. Any one have tips?
Any one experiencing or ever experienced a sharp pain in their lower left region? It almost feels like a pulled muscle that comes and goes but can be very painful to where I have to stop walking. Google just scared me I don't think it's a digestive issue.

I've experienced this. It was after I had thrown up and was constipated. It was a sharp pain on the left side of my body that felt more acure depending on what position I was in. I also read somewhere that it is a digestive issue (trapped gas/dehydration). It went away on its own after a couple of days.
Carpal Tunnel....KILLING ME AT NIGHT! Just got some splints and trying parafin (sp?) wax to help. My doctor said that next pregnancy it might be smart to get a steroid shot if it's bothering me that much. Thinking it might be worth it...

What does paraffin wax do? This is my current struggle too.

It's just a moist heat modality for discomfort management. It retains heat well and does feel nice. For free you could also do a damp, heated handtowel wrapped.
Ugh. Only 4 hours of sleep had. Hot flushes and discomfort until 3am. Braxton hicks some painful all night. husband acted like an asshole and went to sleep and I slept in the other room. Woe is me

No tips but I feel the same way. Sides hurt and hard to turn over. Pillow between the legs helps a bit and getting up and walking around when you wake up in pain. gives the body a break from the same position and you get tired again.
Has anyone had a sunny side up baby? I'm guessing that's why I have so much back pain from what I've been reading. OB said that that could be a reason why he's not lower. I'll be having a section regardless but maybe I can get him to turn over to be more comfortable and maybe (just maybe) get him to progress sooner.

I'm having the same problem. I'm just piling pillows around myself, so no matter which way I try to roll/turn I have a pillow for support. Doing the pillow between my knees too.
Also, anyone else excessively thirsty at this point? I can't seem to get enough water no matter how much I drink.

Yep! Drinking heaps too.
I did the same thing with pillows while dh was at work. otherwise bed is too small...
Does any one get a tingling sensations in your breasts when you have contractions? I'm sure these are BH since they aren't consistent but it's a strange sensation.

I did, although I didn't know it till I checked into the hospital in TONS of pain. I was laboring at home for as long as possible (turned out to be close to 30 hours of contractions) and my OB attributed the back pain to early labor pains. But once I got to the hospital, they realized she was sunny side up and turned her. The pain is unreal, though. She was also 9lbs 5oz, so apparently it is worse the bigger they are.

Someone else already replied but yes, it helps stimulate blood flow in the fingers. My neighbor actually has a wax pot so she's letting me borrow it! Honestly, wearing the splints at night is helping more than anything. It really is such a pain!
Anyone experiencing waves of nausea? It started yesterday. I've never had morning sickness with any of my pregnancies so I'm not sure what the deal is. I thought it was a hunger issue but I eat and it's still there
Hormones outta control! I googled my hospital labor and delivery department and clicked on the virtual tour and started getting teary-eyed looking at the post partum room thinking baby will be here any day. What is wrong with me!? Lol.
I have the same issue. My right foot has been much more swollen than my left. I'm assuming it has something to do with blood flow. I mentioned it to my OB earlier this week, and he he didn't seem to think it was something to worry about.

Yes! I didn't have morning sickness either. But I've been getting quite nauseous lately. It's weird.

It hit me pretty hard in my third tri. Although not nearly as awful as the first. My pre-natal yoga teacher (who is also a doula) said it was super normal, especially since I was carrying really, really high (also turns out I had a 9lb, 5oz baby, so I was running out of space....). It got better once she started dropping.
I know this is *really* bad and not the right thing to do, but I drank half a liter of Coca Cola yesterday so I'd be able to get up and function. It worked other than the heartburn side effect at night I'm so angry at myself for not being able to wake up, move, and function like I should be. I know I have a good excuse but it's just not good enough!!!
