@fairygirl86 I'm in a similar boat...LMP was February 10th but I have irregular cycles.  I was temping and charting plus OPKs so I feel confident I Oed on March 10th.  I talked to my practice about this and feel lucky that they believe and support that I am two weeks off from normal.

Best of luck!  It is kind of nice to be able to go in early for peace of mind. :)

  • First appt is April 28th at 8+1 weeks. I got really lucky to get in with one of the local midwives and no doctor or midwife sees a patient before 8 weeks here. So I'll have my first appt and my dating ultrasound within the same week.

Went to my first family doc appoinment today, it was very anti-climactic, it was just to confirm pregnancy (urine sample) and do bloodwork. They booked me for a prenatal physical this coming monday, then there will be a follow up probably a week after that (because this doc refuses to tell you anything over the phone), and then another appointment around 8 weeks, and then the IPS and first ultrasound at 11-13 weeks! And then I'm transferring over to my OB! My work is going to kill me for all this time off for appts

  • I am seeing a new OB on Monday at 4 weeks. They wanted to see me earlier because of my past lost and I have a few questions about blood tests I might need done. I had slightly off Thyroid numbers though nothing they wanted to medicated at that time, I just want to keep an eye on it. Some other blood work number are in the "normal but not ideal" range. If everything stays low risk I want to switch back to my midwife after the 1st trimester.

  • I'll be 8 weeks and 5 days for my first appointment which is killing me to have to wait so long! I'll be five weeks on Saturday! This is my first baby and I keep having to convince myself im
pregnant because I don't feel like it at all! Can't wait to see that heartbeat!!
  • My first ultrasound will be in 16 days. I'll be about 7 weeks I think. Then I'll have to make an appointment with the OB. However, I plan on going midwife route, so I'll be booking an appointment with a midwife too after my scan.
  • Finally made my first appointment. It'll be on the 26th
  • First appt is at 7w1d on 4/21. Just the basics, nothing really important done, lots of talking and handouts. They schedule the first ultrasound at that appointment so I'm guessing I won't have one until early May. It'll seem like forever but I'm trying to be patient and chill out. Hard to do after a couple early losses but I'm sure I'll manage!

  • I have an ultrasound next Monday.  I'm guessing they'll schedule my first appointment after the pregnancy is dated.  I meet with a NP at 10 weeks, then the OB at 14 weeks.
  • Mine is 4/22 when I'll be 7w1d.  It's a bit earlier than I thought it would be - but I'm ok with that!

  • @JLWalker2 I totally know what you mean, I really don't feel pregnant at all either!!

My first appointment will be April 21st which I believe will be around 6 weeks.  They will do an ultrasound at that time.  This is my first pregnancy and I'm not high risk or anything but because it took me so long, I'm still seeing an RE.
  • DH and I were currently under a fertility specialists care for our RPL, so we were just waiting for our appointment on the 21 to get our results...but then we got our bfp! I confirmed with my GP and she did betas and relayed the info to the specialist. They called me with an appointment of April 13th for our first U/S! Then he will sign me off to my OBGYNs care.

  • I too am going to my new OB at around 7 weeks and I am high risk.
  • First appointment is next Tuesday. Sounds like it's mostly a medical history type thing, then I'll go back around 8-9 weeks for ultrasound.
  • 1st u/s was today at 5w1d. Saw exactly what we were hoping for;2 perfect sacs each with a tiny yolk sac starting. We go next Thursday to check for heartbeats!
  • Hello ladies, I have an early u/s schedule for Thursday this week! 2 days from now. I am getting nervous...

  • I'm seeing my GP on Thursday and then I have an u/s and see my OB at 7w2d.  I think I'll feel much more comfortable after seeing that heartbeat!
  • Already been in for betas, but that was just bloodwork. First official appointment and u/s scheduled for May 3! So excited.

Also curious as to how other OBs are determining high risk. I haven't had a conversation with mine about it yet, but my first pregnancy, I got Pre-e and ended up having to deliver at 36 weeks. Just not sure whether I should push for extra monitoring or not. Up until the end (about 34 weeks), everything went fine.
  • Did betas this week and scheduled first U/S for 5/3! Seems forever away!

  • My ultrasound was today. I was told that I am 5 weeks pregnant and they could only see the gestational sac, no heart beat yet. I'll have to go back in 2 wks :)

I was told by my last OB at my 6w PP that I would be high risk for every pregnancy after that. I ended up with severe rapid onset Eclampsia, undiagnosed (until birth) IUGR, then had an emergency CS due to L being breech - getting stuck for 3 hrs (stupid nurse who refused to check me) then him having a BM. Plus my family has a history of  late losses, diabetes, and chronic high Blood Pressure.

I have an ultrasound with the fertility clinic we used at 8 weeks (4/28) and then I go see the OB/GYN for the first time 2 weeks later (at 10 weeks).  I would have seen my OB one week sooner, but I'll be on a business trip.

After all the appointments I had getting to the embryo transfer, the lack doctors appointments during the next 3 weeks is kinda freaking me out!

April 14th I'll see OB and have US. I'll be 7 weeks.
  • I feel behind!

I met with my GP this week, just to ask some questions (she used to be an OB, but now focuses on family medicine only), and she gave me some names of doctors she likes in town. We have 2 hospitals, and my insurance covers both. She didn't do a test to make sure I was, but based on my period being clockwork, even after going off BC in September, I think she believed me.

Now, I am just debating between the two hospitals - all of her suggestions were just at one of them (farther away, but only still a 10-15 minute drive), and none from the other (much closer) - mainly based on the facilities they have (better NICU, if it would be needed). I've been reading reviews and have it narrowed down to one from each, so now I just mainly need to decide. I live closer to one, but she didn't give me any OB names from there. I am making that a goal for next week so I can call, as I'll be in week 5.

I am advanced maternal based on age (35), so I am wondering if they'd see me early. This is also my first.

  • Got my appt today for 4.26, I'll be 7w1d. They'll schedule my ultrasound at that appt, can't wait!!

  • Had blood work done last week Dr wants to see me around the 26th.
  • Not till April 28th. Boo. Hate waiting, but I get it.
  • We had our first ultrasound last week on April 6.  All looked good so far (thank goodness).  I put the photo up on the fridge, just like last time!  I can't believe the image is my baby - so surreal.
On April 18 we go into see the heartbeat with my second ultrasound.  This was the most amazing ultrasound for me last time, so in some ways I am really looking forward to it, but I am also quite nervous.  We're praying to see the heartbeat and If all goes well then my nervousness will go down.
I agree with others- the only upside of being with an RE and "high risk" is you do get to see your baby a lot sooner.  So at least there's a tradeoff.

  • I've noticed a ton of us are going on the 26th! So exciting. I think (if it's anything like my first) they'll do the dating ultrasound then
  • @Jennys9, I also had an early u/s and have my second u/s on the 18th! FX we see the little heartbeats and the little tadpoles look great!
I am extremely nervous, I have had two losses so trying to stay clam and positive!
