@jonesl12 Same.  I can feel his hiccups in either my butt or vag on a regular basis.  Sooooo looooowww.

  • For those with heartburn: tums and Zantac help a lot! strangely enough I used to get debilitating heartburn years ago and treated successfully with Zantac. But in this pregnancy slim to zero heartburn! when it does occasionally strike one tums solves the problem in a jiffy.

I got checked today for the first time, and he's at station -3 so that explains things a little bit better.  (Also mucus plug is gone, 50% effaced, and at 1cm) Yay!!!! Glad to finally get some insight.  I've been so curious about the progression since I haven't gotten any updates on him since I saw him last at the 18 week ultrasound.

  • I haven't had nausea or vomiting this whole pregnancy but all the sudden tonight I feel like I could throw up any time.
im super constipated as well. Has colace done the trick for anybody? I'm maxed out on apples and yogurt

I've struggled with nausea and vomiting this whole pregnancy, so not much help there.

But as far as the constipation, I've had relief a few times with Colace or Dulcolax stool softeners. Just remember to drink plenty of water with it. Feel better :)

Colase has been my BFF since my new friend Herman the hemorrhoid decided to grace me with his presence. I hate miralax.
  • So before I could take the colace I have had diarrhea for 5 hours and vomiting. Can't keep anything down .
Might have to head to labor and delivery for an iv if it gets worse

That blows but you need to stay hydrated...
  • My husband buckled up my sandals this afternoon before we went shopping. I was so proud. Bless him. It did take a few attempts after he put them on twisted and backwards first.
  • Decreased fetal movement, lots of crying, headaches, brown blood discharge, and lack of appetite. Part of me is actually looking forward to wanting to eat everything again while breastfeeding/pumping.

Serious backaches that last 30min, some that feel like attacks. Then my lower belly hurts and my legs throb. It seems to happen right before bowel movements, especially after eating carbs, coffee and/or meat. So random and weird. Hope a modified diet will save me from daily bachache attacks

For real reasons or for hormones? Both are legit, but I hope it was just hormones.
  • @fbanke42 I think you need to stop leaving the house altogether! Hope the rest of your day was less emotional!
  • @fbanke42 Girl you are having a day! /hug
  • @AmadorRose I'm to the point where I just want to stay home and just sew and bump. A vacation would be great too. Specifically to Disneyland, since I've been wanting to go for AGES... We haven't gone since my 22nd birthday. Unfortunately, I've been invited to a ton of events right around the same time and I'm one of those people who feels like a terrible person if I don't go when I don't have a "legitimate reason" not to. Being obnoxiously pregnant should be reason enough, but I won't let it be because I'm insane.

@Knottie9983816 I've been having one of those pregnancies... DS leveled out my hormones while LO is making them go insane.

  • I have a question. I know I've said this before, but I've been having pretty strong braxton hicks since the second trimester. Well two weeks ago (week 36) I started feeling them in my head. Like... I feel it in my nose and my head like a tension headache... or maybe like all the blood is rushing to my head. It's so weird and really annoying! I told my doctor and she said she's never heard that one before. Have any of you ladies been experiencing anything similar?

@AmadorRose Both? I went to pick up stuff for all of the projects that I wanted/needed to get done in the next few weeks right after DS went down for a nap. DH was trying to calm down after an anxiety attack, so he distracted himself with DoTA. I started ugly crying over the fact that DH was having an anxiety attack over all of the immature bull from this morning, and how there was nothing I could do to help him... Then I texted him how much I loved him and respect the fact that he values his relationship with others enough to not react negatively to a person's face about their drama... How I couldn't stand how other people treat him because he will just take the bull.

I also started crying because i cause I was getting stuff for a wedding gift for my Mormon buddy, and I still can't believe she gettin married and will finally lose her virginity... Which made me think about how terrible losing mine was.

I also started ugly crying over fabric for a baby blanket that I'm making for a baby shower on the 3rd for a little girl. I texted my BFF (the mom-to-be's SIL) asking her about fabric opinions, which turned into me crying over my choices because what if the mom hates what I picked since I love the combo so much?

I started crying in the frames section because I started thinking about the fact that I need to buy frames for maternity and newborn photos soon... Which means HOLY SHIT I'M HAVING THIS BABY SOON. SAVE ME.
Not that this will make you feel any better but I started crying tonight at dinner. My family and o went out for my moms birthday, there was a large party there doing a gender reveal. The soon to be mom's father was talking to us and told me to come and watch his daughter cut the cake. I felt awkward at first but was dying to know what she was having and to see her expression when she found out. When she cut the cake and I saw the pink o started bawling. I don't even know this girl, or any of her family and I started crying. I can totally relate @fbanke42
    Thank you pregnancy hormones

Yes. I have exactly the same thing. During BH, weird tension headache and tight tummy. I didn't know what it was until I was hooked up to the monitor and watched the meter go up up up when I felt it

I would think it's BP related. Your BP is probably going up as your having the contractions.

  • So I know the baby cannot fall out, but OMG he is SO LOW. I feel big, pronounced movements at the top of my vagina (around the top of the pubic hairline). That's where his head is so I guess it's him moving side to side, or putting his hands by his face, but it's alarming to have him that low with so much pressure in the area. Like, my belly ends but he's still there past my belly, and that's weird to me.

I've been walking with my legs close together because it feels like LO could just drop out.

  • Omg this heartburn will be the death if me! I got some new heartburn pills yesterday (store brand) and for the past 24 hours Ive been burping up this taste that reminds me of boiled eggs. Its disgusting, and I haven't eaten anything out of the norm. I finally figured it must be those pills. They weren't helping anyway. I have 3hours of work left and nothing but milk to combat the burn.

Also this nasal congestion is really pissing me off. I'm a week and a half away from my due date and its like the universe is toying with me, "oh that's cute,  you are almost at the end and starting to imagine life without congestion? Well here, let's make it a million times worse than it has been and let's throw in extra snot and boogers too since you are very low on your nausea meds and have been rationing them. Hope you enjoy gagging!"

    F you universe, F you!

Have you tried tums or Zantac? those two help me the most. also try not to eat 3 hours before bedtime and no fizzy drinks.
About the congestion i really understand! as if it isn't hard to breathe enough as it is with baby and contractions pushing up against our diaphragms. the only thing that helped me was Vicks vaporub or something similar up the shnoz with cotton buts, dipped in boiling water or a heat pack on the forehead before bedtime. Congestion gets worse but then 5 mins later it all comes out.

I had a few charley horses last week, but last night I started having unreal shin and calf pain. Holy crap. It's the kind I used to get during growth spurts in high school when I'd wake up in the night crying and just have to ice those suckers down. I was on my feet yesterday, but nothing really out of the ordinary. Tylenol not helping. Gonna hit the bananas and apricots. Trying to keep my feet up today, thinking of skipping the prenatal yoga.

I am having the exact same feeling. It's strange. I don't remember this from my first two.
  • I've had horrible constipation this whole pregnancy now the last few days I've had lovely diarrhea. Ugh.
  • Anyone ever hear like a small popping noise from within your bump. I'll be laying down and LO moving and I'll hear a random pop but almost like when someone cracks a finger. It doesn't hurt but I've heard it randomly a few times.
  • This is TMI but I don't know what to do. I've had horrible diarrhea for a while now and I have very frequent BM. I thought it got better when I ate more fibers but it's back again. I eat rye bread and oatmeal almost every day so I get plenty of fibers. What the hell could this be?

  • Impending baby?
  • @elasticheart13 I've been like that on and off for the past few weeks...baby dropping is my only guess. Mine has come with an increase in gas too :/

Baby dropped at 34 weeks, and I've had diarrhea for a very long time now. I have around 6-7 BM per day and I'm doing my best at remembering to drink water so I don't get dehydrated. I get horrible cramping every time and I have to run off to the bathroom shortly after eating something. Not sure if it's worth calling about or if I should wait until my midwife appointment.

@elasticheart13 What's a 'very long time'? I was admitted last week because of dehydration from getting a stomachbug the night before and it actually triggered contractions. I totally know what you mean by cramping and running for the bathroom. Are there particular foods that made it worse for you? For me it's been coffee, carbs, and sweet drinks so I'm off of those. I don't think it'll hurt to call your midwife and ask. I know it sucks. Hang in there!
