  • I bought nose strips today to spare my husband for the insane snoring coming from me lately. Fingers crossed he will actually get a full nights sleep tonight for the first time in a week :joy:

His snoring still drowns mine out, so I really feel bad for you having to make that concession!

Oh he snores, loudly mind you, but I am such a heavy sleeper that I do not care the least. He did not mention the snoring to me for the longest time because he knew I have never ever complained about him snoring but I noticed that he was not really sleeping well at night and then he confessed that it was due to my snoring
I'm about to go to sleep right now and I must admit, it is not as uncomfortable as I feared it would be! Might even get used to it :grimace:

  • It hurts to walk. A fair amount of my job is walking back and forth between buildings, looking for parts. I've been limping since Friday, when the back contractions started... My right hip is shot on top of the back contractions.

  • Holy back pain Batman!  I know this is a normal symptom, but we are talking hour-long spasms painful enough to paralyze me and make me throw up.  They are becoming more common, and I'm starting to wonder if this is just pregnancy or if I should be getting worried.  To be fair, I did have some back pain before getting pregnant, but never this bad or this long.  The being paralyzed during part scares me the most...

Yes!! Why is this? I'm hoping it goes back to normal after as well!

I think it has more to do with weight gain, but idk. FTM and I haven't had that happen...
  • My belly button is really REALLY shallow. Oh noes. I want it to stay an innie :(

Also this morning I was having period-like cramping that went from my lower stomach to my vagina. It lasted hours. It didn't seem to come and go at all, so I didn't know what to make of it. BH? Contractions? But it didn't come or go! What does it all meaaaaaan?!

I googled. Most sites say it's due to hormones and like linea nigra should go back to normal after delivery. One also said that sun exposure may worsen it, but I'm not exactly running around topless. @Knottie9983816 you might be, because you're a dirty hippy ;)
Yeah, but I only run around topless in the house. ;)

My belly button is on the verge of popping out I think. I'll tape that shit down if I have to !

I have gotten that pain too but for me it turned out that I just had to poop and was super constipated.

Mine never went completely back to normal  :'(

    No!!!!!!
  • I lost another dime sized chunk of mucus plug this morning. Lost a nickel sized amount last night. Did I dilate since Friday or is my body just screwing with me?

  • I feel like my baby is bruising me from the inside. He keeps swishing his butt around from side to side, which is really adorable but also hurts! He's totally trying to stretch out. My skin feels so thin.

This is me too! I have this sharp pain for the past few days on one side...turns out baby likes to stick out his butt! Cute but sooo uncomfortable and painful.

Mine has been bent in half so he can suck his toes, pretty much the entire pregnancy. So I am getting punches, kicks, and head butts all in the same general area. My lower stomach feels like a giant bruise at all times, and I have no idea what anybody with sore ribs is even talking about since he's never even PLAYED with the idea of going near there.
  • I have a toe sucker too. Lately along with the but swishing and toe sucking, I'm so tired. It's like the first trimester all over again. I can't believe it. Is it over yet? lol...

Anyone else experiencing very uncomfortable sex? We have tried various positions and it's really uncomfortable comparable to the feeling of an UTI during and then after I'm fine.  I sent a note into my doctor to ask. Didn't know if anyone else is experiencing the same.  I've never dealt with this before
Yes, it hurts me very badly.
Yeah, sex isn't happening much in our house. I don't know how to get comfortable.
Same here. Guess it's good practice for the coming months.

My midwife says it's very possible that baby is bruising you from the inside. I have the same kind of pain, right under my sternum. Some days are worse than others but it's been there for about a month now!
  • I know it was a common symptoms among a lot of us a while ago, but are you guys still experiencing charlie horses? Experienced them for the first time today, along with some period like cramps. Not alarmed since I don't even get contractions or even BH, just wondering. Also sorry this is getting long but is there anyone else whose provider hasnt given them an ultrasound since their anatomy scan? I havent seen baby since 18 weeks and my pregnant friend loves to rub in my face that she gets an ultrasound every appointment, and that it's weird that I dont and she has no idea how I can handle not seeing him. Granted, I'm low risk, first pregnancy and passed all my prenatal testing. Thanks!!!
As long as you're doing fine and you're ok with it. I don't think it hurts to ask if you're curious.
I've had pretty frequent u/s - I find it comforting to be able to see her.
  • I feel like she is punching my butt/colon  and the inside of my vag the past hour on and off.
Shes dropped low and her movements are hitting me in odd places now.

My favorite is when she decides to to ram herself into my pelvis & cervix from her roost high in my abdomen. I swear this kid is going to be retribution for all the terrible things I've ever said and done to my mother!
  • @jonesl12 Same.  I can feel his hiccups in either my butt or vag on a regular basis.  Sooooo looooowww.

The worst is when I feel a bowel movement coming and she starts hiccuping. It really makes me run to the bathroom! Lol!
  • Does anyone know if heartburn goes away after labor? Or is it a dreaded gradual progression? I'm dying...

I've been told it lessens as baby drops and should go away after labor when your stuff isn't all squished in there

I've only ever had heartburn while pregnant. Once there was no more baby sharing my body, the heartburn magically disappeared.

I took another oxycodone before bed. Apparently it gave me heartburn. It also just wore off. Ugh.

  • I get these in my calves in the am when i stretch. But i figured out how to stop them... when you feel one coming on immediately stretch the muscle in the opposite direction. Aka if your pointing your toe down flex it up. It works everytime!
  • Excuse the TMI...but for you ladies getting cervical checks do you spot/bleed after and for how long? I've been getting checked every two weeks recently and I usually lightly spot brown (goes away after like 2-3 days and mainly when I wipe) and decreasing each day. This time around its way more brown than usual and scares me some times because it appears stringy (discharge?). My liner actually got filled (didn't happen the other times). Baby is still squirming around but just curious.

Most of pregnancy heartburn is caused by your stomach being squished up so high. When baby evacuates, it gloriously goes away.
  • My chest has been extremely sensitive. I feel like they've become firm (my boobs are usually a squishy, jiggly mess) and anything that touches them either feels painful or pleasurable... I'm pretty sure I had a similar experience after DS was born, but that was long enough ago that I can't remember.

Putting your feet down on a cold surface stops them too! :)
  • Major decreased appetite.  Even though he's low I am eating half of a normal meek and feeling full.
Also boobs are so tender I think they are going through another growth spurt :/

I actually decline cervical checks. Obviously this may be different for different people, but I have had a very normal, healthy pregnancy with zero signs of labor. Ask your doctor if it is an option.

Mine told me, in no uncertain terms, that they really don't mean anything. And you can walk around dialated/effaced for weeks and not go into labor. That cervical checks before a certain point really dont reveal much.

I'm high risk and dealing with preterm labor stuff since 29 wks so not really optional at the moment...maybe once I'm past the preterm scare. I started dilating and efface at 32 wks and contractions before then.

Got it. Sorry to hear that :( I hope everything goes well for you going forward!

I spot pink or with tiny streaks of red and the further along I am the more I have and the longer it lasts. I'm almost 38 weeks. I'm guessing they'll check again today. (I'm sitting at my appointment.) I don't mind much. Well... That's not true... It's so uncomfortable. But I guess I'm always a bit curious and frankly, if I go into labour because of it at this point than yippee!! But she didn't start checking till I was right at where the baby wasn't in danger.

I also get cramping and contractions for a whole day after...I hope doesn't cause any progression. Got to make it through at least 2 more weeks.
