ok kinda stressing out. no clue when my last menstrual period was so I guess I should just chill. thought I was 8 or9 weeks along. went in for my first US today and looks like I'm just 4 weeks along. two empty gestational sacs. thinking sticky thoughts and hoping that I truly am just 4 weeks along. also.....could I seriously be having twins?! my mind just isn't wrapping around that possibility.
Measuring right on schedule at 10+1 and everything looked great. Got to hear the heartbeat and the little guy moved a little for us. DH was pretty excited!
@jillianpardo , hard not to stress.... but try to focus on the possibility that you may be having twins! And maybe you are just 4 weeks along.... don't worry too much. Sending you good vibes!

Husband came with, almost cried, but played it cool in front of the OB, it was adorable. Doctor gave us a due date of 10/25, I still think it's closer to 10/21 but I'll go with what she says.
I went to to my very first ultrasound appointment yesterday and it was so amazing. My baby has a strong heart beat of 160 & is measuring right on track at 9 weeks. I am so excited for this upcoming journey!
Measuring perfectly at 6w5d!! Heartbeat was 120. It was so awesome to see the heartbeat on the screen!! We don't get to hear the heartbeat until our next u/s in 6 weeks. Nothing can ruin this amazingly awesome day!!!
These are from our u/s at 10 weeks, nurse (not cert sonographer) said baby measures for 9 weeks and she was unable to find baby B... Also claimed an area outside the gestational sac was the yolk sac? Not sure I trust all that but oh well, hanging in there until next u/s at 16 weeks. (Currently 11-12 weeks now).
Yayyyyyy!!!! Finally got to see our little pumpkin! I was not very happy with how quickly the doc performed the scan (she wouldn't even check the bpms of the heartrate, saying it was still "early" for that, ugh!). Most importantly, me and my BF both saw the HB, and that was the best 5 seconds of the appt! In 2 weeks I go back for the NT scan (this time with a tech & not the Doc, so hopefully will have more time to see him/her). As I told doc, since I think I ovulated a lil late, baby will probably be measuring a few days behind and sure enough, her measurements were 7+4 but they still keep the LMP date, so I'm good with that.

So...I have a dumb n00b question. Did you bring your SOs with you to your first appointment?
(Since this is about first/early appointments it seemed like a good place to ask.)
It's my first pregnancy so I wanted hubby to be there to see that peanut is really a peanut. I think he appreciated being able to see the heart beat and hear the doctor say everything looks good even if peanut was measuring in a week earlier than original thought. At my appt he had to wait until I was done and they did a little video for him to see afterwards, which he didn't like, but he still got to see it. He even wants to come to my second one this Tuesday and my OB appt on Thursday.
This was a couple weeks ago at my 8 week/first appt (picture taken at 8w3d) The heart rate was high IMO at 175 but the doctor said that was fine (?!) Just another anxiety for this rookie momma We loved that we could see an actual baby shape though complete with arm and leg buds!!
I'm seeing folks mention upcoming NTs, but my OB said I won't have mine until closer to week 18. The timing of everything seems to vary so much depending on the doctor, and I know I'm going to be freaking out waiting another 9-10 weeks. Don't they know how worried we get in between appointments?!
@UponAStar16that's what I thought, too, and I called last week specifically to ask. I see the doctor again in 2 weeks, so I'm going to ask him directly then.
Here is my latest ultrasound at 10 weeks 4 days! It's amazing to see how much changes in 4 weeks time! What a relief to see that all this sickness is truly for a reason. Looking forward to seeing all your photos!!
@MzOro82214 yes I do! Do you? Do you like it so far? I loved my midwife and the whole experience of my first ultrasound. She was so nice and so informative. She made the invasiveness of a vaginal ultrasound as comfortable as possible by just being so nice!

That's great! Yes, I have Kaiser too (as you can see from my u/s pic ) My first appt wasn't as pleasant but I have my first appt with the midwife on 4/8 so even though I won't be getting another scan at that appt, I'm looking forward to it. I have a lot of questions for the midwife as to how their care differs from the OBs.

10w1d! Super excited to see this little peanut today. We got to see the brain, spine and heart. It was flailing around in there so much it was like a kid on birthday cake and Halloween candy combined! Love love love!
I feel late the the u/s game... But here is my little gummy bear at 8 weeks... Not the best pic... And he didn't measure the heart rate... But definitely a beating heart!
We graduated the RE today! We are technically 8+4 but both babies measured at 8+6, had strong heartbeats of about 160, and baby A even wiggled and did a dance for us. So surreal and so relieving.

Saw our little pumpkin today during my first scan with the OB (graduated from the RE last week). Measured 9w4d - little guy was wiggling around for me again
Our little pumpkin at 8w 3d! Everything looks great and had a strong heartbeat of 172 bpm. We didn't get to hear the heartbeat because our tech said she didn't like to use the Doppler this early. A little bummed but seeing a strong heartbeat was enough for me! We are measuring right on time for our EED of Oct 24.
Married 11-11-11 TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year. BFP 02-15-16 with our first IT'S A BOY!!!
We chose to do an elective ultrasound today to help calm some anxiety due to our history. We are very glad that we did. Baby waved! We got to take home a recording of a very strong heartbeat. This was an external scan and we were able to see everything very clearly.
Got a new dd- November 4! Baby better move out before my birthday the following week. Mini muffin measured smaller than we expected-closer to 6-7 weeks than 8-9 weeks we thought. Follow up u/s 3/29 just to make sure things are humming along.
