After lots of cramping and pain near my ovary over the past two weeks, went in for an early ultrasound today. Saw a strong heartbeat that the tech measured at 137. Only measured 6w3d but for now I'm sticking with my 7w1d and EDD of 10/5
@smmatt08 that is amazing, congrats! I am going in for an ultrasound today because I have had some brown spotting so they just want to check it out. I am 7w2d, I don't know if they will be doing a vaginal or abdominal ultrasound though. If you don't mind me asking, which one did you have? Just trying to get an idea of what to hopefully expect!

@lilylover27 Thank you! It was vaginal, I've had a lot of those so it doesn't even phase me! The tech said its too early to hear a heartbeat but you could see it!
It's just a tiny little blob, but it's there! Measuring at 5w5d. No heartbeat yet but OB wasn't expecting to see one so I'm trying not to worry. I go back in 4 weeks

My first appointment is this coming Tuesday 2/23 but I will only be a day shy of 6 wks. Since it's just an intake with the nurse, I HIGHLY doubt they'll do an U/S but I'm hoping to go back 2 weeks later for my 8 week appt. It all depends on how they typically schedule the visits. Can't wait to see my lil bean and praying he/she is SUPER sticky and has a HB whenever it is I get to see him/her.

Love seeing these posts. But I'm so jelly! I am 7 weeks now and don't have an ultrasound until 20 weeks. I have a doctor appt March 1 and will ask if he can set me up with an appointment to see the heartbeat. I still don't have an OBGYN so I will ask about that too.
We had a heartbeat!! Started some brown spotting a few days ago so my ob brought me in to ease my mind with an ultrasound. Measuring 6w5d which isn't too far off from the 7w2d that my lmp gave! Too early to hear it but we saw the heartbeat and they measured it and said it was nice and strong! The spotting they said was most likely nothing because my cervix is still long and closed so that looks good too! The ultrasound tech at my ob is awesome she let us watch the heartbeat and found different angels and printed out so many copies! She even wrote special on one happy birthday daddy because yesterday was actually DH birthday! She also wrote grandma and grandpa on two since we are telling our families tomorrow!! Beyond over the moon right now!! Sorry if the picture is huge I am posting from mobile and don't know how to resize!
We got released from the RE today! We meet my new obgyn on Monday! I am measuring 7 weeks, 5 days which is 2 days ahead. Last week I measured 2 days behind lol... We had had an ultrasound and bloodwork every Friday with the specialist (at 6am!) so it feels good to be released now! We got to hear the heartbeat for the first time on my husbands birthday last Friday! Here is today's ultrasound!
Trying to figure out how to post a picture from the app, but I had my first US on Tuesday! Measured 6wks 2days with a HB of 146 bpm. Thrilled! Have first prenatal appt in a week (tues was just an US). Fingers all crossed!
I had an early ultrasound this time because of my previous loss. I thought I was 6 weeks, 4 days based on my LMP, but apparently it's measuring more like 7 weeks 1 day and has a heartbeat of 147! It looks like a wizard hat or sea creature or something, but it's so exciting because we never saw a heartbeat with the first pregnancy!
me 28 (Lean PCOS, hypothyroid) dh 33 TTC #1 since early 2011 May 2011- natural pregnancy (metformin only); m/c @ 9 weeks + D&C July 2011- lap to remove dermoid cyst August 2012-current- 9 rounds of Clomid, 1 cycle of Femara, several cycles of soy isos, 1 IUI, O'd every cycle, BFN August 2014- lap to remove uterine septum. Everything else looking good. Moving onto IVF Feb/March 2016 Just kidding. Natural bfp 1/30/16. 1st beta 2/1 = 110. 2nd beta 2/3 = 332.

I feel ya! We had a loss last fall in our first pregnancy and are so so thankful to have become pregnant again so quickly. Like you we didn't see a heartbeat the first time around so I know what you mean about seeing the heartbeat for the first time, this time around. So wonderful! All my fingers are crossed and hoping for this best. Next ultrasound is next week, I'm counting the days!
Had my first appt today with the OB. Even though the nurse told me they usually only do 1 US at 19 weeks the OB wanted to send me for one to properly date the baby seeing how my periods are reallyyyyy long and irregular. But my office doesn't do US so I had to go to the front desk to schedule it with the other office. Turns out they had an appt open immediately! So we hopped in the car and ran over to get it done. Such a wonderful surprise! Especially because we're telling family today and tomorrow so now we get to share the pic as well Baby measured 3 days smaller than what I thought my EDD was based on BBT, so new EDD is 10/5 (DH and my wedding anniversary!). We got to see the heartbeat at 150 bpm. So amazing.
Had my intake ob appointment today at 8w1d. Baby's heartrate was 179 and measuring a day ahead. Can we please get this thread stickied - @BumpAdmin , @BumpCaitlin, @BumpTara?
I gotta admit that I'm envious of your ultrasound, @babyblues3! You can actually see more than just a blob! I like my RE's ultraound machine compared to the ob I saw, but your picture is just so cute! Congrats! Such a sweet picture!
I'm so happy seeing everyone's ultrasound! I had mine done internally because "he" was so small externally. It's nice to see everyone is around the same size so I don't have to worry about my little peanuts size. Heart beat was a good 135 beats per minute. People are already calling dibs on the gender.
Had my first ultrasound today! Had 2 sacs but one appeared to be empty and the other showed a viable baby with great heartbeat. Im 6 wk 4 days. Hoping the next ultrasound shows 2 babies and heartbeats.
Anyone else have this type of situation? I underwent ivf with 2 embryos implanted.
Question for the ladies who had early ultrasounds... I'm going next week at 6+2, do you think it will be abdominal or TV?

They tried abdominal on me and you could see the baby but couldn't pick up the heartbeat as good so they did it vaginally to get the best read for heartbeat. I went today and am 7w4d
@MRSCORKER - I'm so used to TV ones after seeing an RE, but I would gather they would do a TV being 6w2d. That being said, they may try an abdominal to see if they can find the heartbeat, but it would be just beginning to beat... Don't freak out if they can't find it doing it abdominally.

Thanks! I had a beta draw yesterday and the doc said based on my levels, I might be measuring ahead so I'm keeping my FX for a heartbeat. We'll see! I'm just glad I don't have to wait until 3/22 which was my original appt.
