FWP whine - two food/drink orders messed up in one weekend. Ordered Mexican last night and they completely forgot my order. And Starbucks just gave me the wrong drink. My life is so hard.
I am spending the day doing mountains of laundry I haven't had the energy to do in weeks. That and I went through all of my clothes to decide what to donate and to store what already doesn't fit (or wasn't fitting before I got pregnant). I call it my box of hopes and dreams to one day fit in it all again.
It was a hard day ya'll! I felt like I was putting away my youth...slinky dresses I would wear to the bars/night clubs...mini skirts, form fitting sweater dresses, etc. I even went through a shoe purge and got rid of so many high heels since I was already getting neck and back pain over the last 2 years from wearing them. I guess it is just time to put on my mumu and hair rollers.
Married: 3/21/15 First time mom to a human but have been a puppy mamma for over 12 years
@blondie080300 oh I feel your pain. I already put all of my summer clothes in a suit case far far away. Hope to see those shorts again next summer. I will be living in maxi dresses and skirts as soon as the weather warms up a bit.
So, I hate the earthy color of the wall, with how it clashes with my couch. We are repainting right now...drastic change!! But nervous about it all coordinating now.
Whoops have to forgive me- I tend to forget my filter sometimes No harm meant. I don't remember saying anything that bad but must have been enough to get it removed.
Just packed my son's lunch for school. Didn't realize it wasn't Sunday until I couldn't find TWD. Wow. At least I won't have to pack it tomorrow night?
One of my best gf from college came to visit today with her little family and it was just a perfect day. She lives 2 hours away so we don't see each other as often as we'd like.
@RedMar thank you! Still feeling a little skeptical..DH keeps saying, "it's a lot lighter than I thought!" But will definitely make the room seem more open and I'll be happy to not have to see the old. It's supposed to be a light grey..went with a bluer shade to coordinate with other rooms in the house but it's looking quite white-ish blue right now!
Thanks everyone! As for an update, the spotting seems like a one time thing (knock on wood) and haven't had any since Friday night. Appointment is tomorrow so hoping all is well!
My MIL referred to my bump (I think I'm beyond the blump phase; I've got a burgeoning little firm bump now and my OB can do abdominal ultrasounds without a problem) as a "pooch."
She didn't mean anything by it, but I'm still upset. DH thinks I'm being ridiculous. Maybe I am. I don't even know.
@MojieJo It's ok, I understand. Sometimes I feel like pregnancy is such an intimate and private thing on display for everyone. DH and I agreed to not even post to the masses (people beyond close family and friends) on FB this time. They can find out through word of mouth or by putting it together lol.
I remember feeling this way when pregnant with DS and still don't fully get it. I don't like any comments about my body either.
@ChalupMama@Sporty1216@RedMar Thank you! I was feeling like maybe I was being a little overly sensitive, but dammit, that's no "I've been eating too much" pooch!
@MojieJo my grandmother in law visited during my last pregnancy and said "there's the girl with the fat stomach!" I kept my cool, it's the norm for bubbe to insult, and I try not to focus on it now... but I will never forget she said that. Keep your chin up, baby bumps are all the rage
@PSUBecky23Same here with being on the couch all day. So exhausted and every now and then the room starts to spin. @RedMarMy DH has also been incredible in taking care of me and our pup! I feel so blessed!

My first appt is still (and finally) a week away! But today I found and heard baby's heartbeat for the first time so that really officialized things for me. I feel so happy and relieved!
I really don't like complaining about being pregnant because it is such a blessing but I'm sitting on the couch uber nauseous and tired and it's just miserable I'm really hoping things turn around soon. 12 weeks tomorrow!
@Annas620 Thanks for the support. I'm going to rock this bump, screw the haters. Waiting for warm weather so I can throw on a bikini and let it all hang out.

Ultrasound was perfect. Little bean has a stong heartbeat and I'm a little further along than I thought (just a day or two)
My husband has really been stepping up, too, and doing half of my responsibilities along with his. Even on the days that I'm not nauseous, the exahustion has me laying around and sleeping a ton.
@PoodleDoodleOoo I understand. I hated complaining about the sucky parts of pregnancy with my first. It took 18 months to get pregnant for her, and feeling anything but happy and excited made me feel guilty. I've realized you can acknowledge the discomfort and freaky parts of pregnancy, and still feel blessed and happy.
12 weeks tomorrow, appointment this afternoon. Planning to announce to Facebook tomorrow after telling the rest of my coworkers who don't know (only a handful do) tomorrow morning.
last time I brought in munchkins and sent out an email saying to "enjoy the munchkins in celebration of our soon-to-be munchkin coming in December" Not sure what I'll bring in this time, but something I can indulge on!
Also put this in the furbabies post, but just bragging over here (my favorite thread) as well. My toddler (Emmett - turned 1 in December) and doggy, Roxy. Best friends, partners in crime. Taken a couple weeks ago before all our snow melted.
@lovelylauren86- advice on furbabies and real babies is so dependent on the animal. You'll find a handful of tips when you google and they may work for some people or you just have to roll with it when the time comes and adjust accordingly. I had nothing new to share, so figured a cute pic was helpful! Like "don't worry about it so much.. just look forward to them growing up together!"
My BellaBands and doppler are being delivered today!!!!!
I will be able to wear my normal work pants tomorrow. I'm 9 weeks today and I think I'm going to try to wait to use the doppler till the weekend so I don't freak out when I cannot find the heartbeat.
My coworkers who is pregnant just told me she is avoiding caesar dressing and googles every food she has before it hits her mouth.
This was her response to me admitting that I tasted a few spoonfuls of cookie dough Saturday night before remembering that I'm pregnant and shouldn't be having raw eggs.

No comment regarding BellaBands or home doppler because I've never used either. Just had to mention that I've been in love with Jimmy Fallon for 16 years (over half my life). He's my "one celebrity" that I'm allowed to cheat on DH with.
