@kami09 I'm glad the bump recognizes how awesome I am haha. And I see what you mean about the ultrasounds. I imagine it's different when it's your own kid.
Cuz I've seen some of the creepiest looking pictures....I think my it just ruined it for me.
& what is up with my app?! It's adding words in front of people's names haha
This. I've seen some adorable ones, and others that would give me nightmares. I would hate to spend extra money on it (my office doesn't do them) and then be concerned about what I saw. I definitely don't judge when people get them, but it's just not for me.
I'm sick of people who have no idea what I do judging me for being a teacher and being called greedy and lazy. I have two Master's degrees, am National Board Certified, have worked in the private sector and never had a job more demanding and less respected than I have as a teacher.
I work in a war zone, the West Side of Chicago in a high school. I've been doing this for 5 years and god forbid we are fighting for a decent income and the same rights any other employee would have in any other job sector.
My coworkers and I are the reason even 1/4 of these kids will become decent members of society, if they survive to see 19.
I never listen to the radio, so I have NO clue about any new music. Which makes me feel old. But who the hell is the Weekend? Why are these people popular? I watch award shows now and feel like an old cranky woman!

First, it's The Weeknd . He is the singer behind the "I can't feel my face when I'm with you but I love it" song. I also like to get down to his song The Hills in my car. Despite me knowing who the Weeknd is, I am with you on award shows. I don't know who anybody is anymore!
I do not want to sit and open presents at my baby shower. Why do people care if you open their gift and show it to everyone? I just want to enjoy the party with everyone.
I really don't like the way most baby gear looks.. such as swings, play mats, and exersaucers with all the bright colors and plastic-ness. I would totally get all baby gear from the Land of Nod if I could afford it.

THIS.. I already had this convo with my mom.. but she said the older crowd enjoys it.... and people like to see you open their gifts.. to me it is just boring and a waste of time
I have two: First, I'm not sure how many people still watch the Price is Right, but I do not watch the showcases at the end. I would rather see more games... Second, Easter will be here soon and I cannot stand peeps or the cream Cadbury eggs. (I love the caramel ones though )
I hate the baby stuff that make Dads sound like incompetent parents. Like onsies that label the holes and say dad proof. Grr. Also I hate how strong the smell of baby powder is in buy buy baby I can last 5 minutes in there before I'm ready to puke.

Oh God...I LOATHE that song. See this is why I don't listen to the radio!
I think the pregnancy "outtie" belly button is cute. It's like this dainty perky little thing which stands in stark contrast to the large, bulbous butt, belly and boobs I have to carry around with me.
Also, @yogahh I have no idea who the weekend/weeknd is and I go to music festivals and such and generally think I'm kind of hip, but that is probably my own inflated sense of self talking.

At least for me this is a battle I would never win. I feel so awkward with all eyes on me opening gift after gift but I know it's something I have to do. At least at my bridal shower I had champagne to take the edge off.

This. Our neighbors have this giant, bright plastic outdoor castle-type thing with a slide in their backyard. It's all plastic and ugly pink and purple colors. It is SO TACKY. I fantasize about going over there in the middle of the night and stealing it. This also annoys me b.c. our HOA is so specific about so many things: i.e. you can paint your mailbox any color you want as long as that color is black/no basketball hoops allowed in the driveway/if you build a fence, it has to look exactly like everyone else's, etc.
I think Valentine's Day is a waste of time/money. It's crowded everywhere, chocolate is overpriced, flowers are overpriced, people expect jewelry?! Sorry, but no. Telling me to tell another how much I love them kind of negates the sentiment to me.

I was with you until..."People expect jewelry?!"
Yes, yes we do. Have I ever received Valentine's Day jewelry? No I have not. Do I tell DH every year he should buy me some? Yes, yes I do.

@Lusitano8 I've requested that my shower invitations ask people to bring their gifts unwrapped. I'd rather spend the time with friends and family than sitting infront of them opening gifts.

This is not a dig...but the first thing that popped into my head was...@merciel is NOT going to agree with you!
I really don't mind how much water I have to drink to stay hydrated while pregnant/breastfeeding. I like water. I've more or less stopped drinking other things except for milk sometimes, or juice occasionally. I don't miss soda. (Also...I'm a Pgh-er who calls it soda rather than pop...)
@AdorkablePixie I am with you on the cadbury eggs. I literally wait all freaking year for them. But only the cream ones. And the day after Easter, I buy $20 worth at 75% off to last me a couple more weeks. They are the best things ever!!!!!

ETA: Words are hard.....not sex during actual breastfeeding, that would be weird. Sex during the months you are breastfeeding.
