    I have two:
First, I'm not sure how many people still watch the Price is Right, but I do not watch the showcases at the end. I would rather see more games...
Second,  Easter will be here soon and I cannot stand peeps or the cream Cadbury eggs.  (I love the caramel ones though :)
    Peeps creep me out!!!

Seriously. WHO ARE YOU!!!???? Do you also call hoagies "subs". And gumbands "rubberbands"???
Now that I am in NY for almost 12 years, I find myself saying soda. And it makes me feel disloyal ;)

Lol! I know! I probably should have saved it for an FFFC! It's shameful. I blame my Chicago-born/raised hubby for changing some of my speech patterns by example.

Grew up saying pop, moved to Maryland 8 years ago and now find myself saying "soda" more and more. And it makes me feel dirty :disappointed:
  • I despise conversation hearts. They make me sick to even look at and I can't stand to be around people who are eating them because they sound so chalky. i would be mad if someone gave them to me as a gift even  :p
    Yes! The crunch/crumble is awful!

Since I have been doing quite a bit of online maternity shopping, I CANNOT stand the models. They are bone thin and then have this giant perfectly round bump. ANNOYING. Sorry but majority of pregnant women DO NOT look like that.
    This.
Unreachable standards for pregnant women too. Sigh.

My UO is, deep down inside, I don't want my mother around my child when he is born or even help me. I love her to death and I'm an only child so we are super close. But I know she is batsh*t crazy sometimes and will be controlling of how I raise my child. I do not want him to be exposed to her negative-about-life attitude. I feel like that makes me a bad child and mother but I don't really care.
  • Cab/uber drivers should have to take a written and road test before getting to drive in a city. I just had an uber driver almost go through the Holland Tunnel accidentally because he had no clue where he was going. Thanks sir, I'm trying to get to soho, not another state.
  • I don't think this is a UO in real life, but it seems to be on TB. I don't understand why people react so negatively to others being excited about and wanting to know the sex of their baby. Obviously it would be weird if someone only cared about that but it seems clear that the majority of pregnant women have health as their number one priority for their baby, I think it kind of goes without saying.

I hope you reported his crappy driving. When something similar happened to me, I reviewed him and got a credit on my account.

I think Valentine's Day is a waste of time/money. It's crowded everywhere, chocolate is overpriced, flowers are overpriced, people expect jewelry?! Sorry, but no. Telling me to tell another how much I love them kind of negates the sentiment to me.
This is not a dig...but the first thing that popped into my head was...@merciel is NOT going to agree with you!
To be clear, I am a jewelry girl. It is always the right gift! And DH has great taste and always knows it is what to give me. I just think it's silly to expect it on Valentine's Day. To me it would be like thinking I should get it for St Patrick's Day, Flag Day, Halloween, etc.

I don't like the majority of seasonal candy...conversation hearts, peeps, cadbury eggs, weird Christmas ribbon hard candy...I like the normal everyday stuff!!

Except when Reese's puts out their holiday stuff.  Yes please I will eat all of that.
  • I prefer writing checks for bills manually rather than enrolling in auto draft options.  I'm pretty sure I'd never look at how much we were paying for anything if I wasn't forced to sit down every month and look through our bills.
I do this too!! I also keep track in the registers you get from the bank so I know exactly how much money I have.  I know most people don't do that.

I sometimes intentionally "burn" my bacon just so I can make it extra crispy...

I don't really like bacon, period.

I'd rather get a present on St. Patty's Day because it means more to my family (we're Irish and I used to Irish Dance).

And now I am back on Etsy, scooping out vintage emerald rings! Getting it for St Paddy's day seems tacky. I would rather get it as a "push present " ;)

  • I'll throw in another - I didn't think the glucose drink was that bad- until the last sip. And  I would drink it again because LO wiggled around so much afterwards! I would rather pass on the crash that happened afterwards though. That sucked.
  • I have never heard the term gumband..... and I said pop when I lived in Ohio, moved south and call it soda so I fit in.

I've never even heard of "gumbands." Don't they say Rubber Bands on the packages?
Us Pittsburghers have a lot of words that are unique to the area. It is called Pittsburghese.

That's what I'm doing this morning, yay 3 hrs glucose test and going to work tomorrow with track marks all over my arm like a damn junky. I am not a sweet tooth person, and that glucose drink tastes like chugging pure uncut snow cone syrup. Thank God my lab ok'd water after.

Mine did too! It was just the hour one- honestly the only part about possibly doing the 3 hour one that has me on edge is the fasting that you're supposed to do before hand. I'm a person who gets hangry.

The 3 hour wasn't as bad as I was expecting although I didn't like the drink as much (had double the glucose which didn't make it double as good lol) but yeah the fasting part wasn't fun. But it's a relief when it's over and I had cashews waiting for me in the car so I didn't road rage to the drive through
