Dang I missed a lot today!! Not even sure I can really remember what all was discussed in the 140 posts I just read...

(Forgot who brought this up, but...) I've definitely not stayed away from wine during this pregnancy, just a glass here and there though nothing crazy! Lol.

I'm all for the FB page! @SarahFoley725 I pm'd you just about ten minutes ago or something like that.

Don't remember @kynbar5 saying anything about international travel, then again my memory sucks lately...but hoping and praying all is well with her and her family!!

ETA I don't feel like I look like baby has dropped, and I don't really feel like I waddle or have pressure yet, but it seems like baby's kicks/punches and movements are all super low. Due at the beginning of March, so hoping he stays put a little longer!!

@mrspepper05 torpedoes away indeed!  I'm with skruhmin, you really do stay all baby (and you look precious!).  I'm pretty darn embarrassed to post a picture of myself at 38 weeks last time.  I was very round in a very unflattering way.  DS sat so far back into me (no torpedo) that he actually stretched my rib cage wider (I used to have this lovely small rib cage/hourglass thing).  Even after everything else went back to normal, my rib cage was still 2 inches wider than it was pre pregnancy.  I'm really considering one of those waist trainers for after this baby.
First of all, thank you. I must hide it well because I gained 40 lbs. Lol. Secondly, that rib thing sounds horribly painful! Ow! And I'm totally getting the belly bandit after this baby. My core was destroyed by that torpedo belly. I couldn't even stand up straight until DD was like 6 weeks old. The things we put our bodies through . . .

Ok, the FB group. So I PM SarahFoley with my email address? Does it have to be the email I use for facebook?

  • @mrspepper05 I don't know if it has to be your FB email or not. All I know is you have to be able to check the email to get the link to the Facebook page!
  • Thanks @JLaVO888 & @skruhmin! Last time with DD, I just went to the sites that my insurance gave me, but we've changed carriers since then.
  • Oh and to @cmerribury, glad I'm not the only one who continues to grow past 30 weeks! Haha. You are adorable, but I feel your pain!

    Best. Gif. Ever.

  • Aw, crap. The fb page has totally sucked me in. One of my New Year's Resolutions was to go to bed earlier so I'm not such a zombie all day. I'm off to a great start . . .

And I'm totally conflicted about where to post stuff like this now . . . Do you think this random thread will start to die off?

I was wondering the same thing.
  • I don't know about the random one but I see other posts dying down. Hopefully we'll get the majority of ladies over to fb before that happens.

I hope all of you ladies had a wonderful Monday even though most had to go back to real life.

@SarahFoley725 I sent you a pm about the Facebook group.

Here is my progression picture. I was induced at 37 weeks so I will be curious to see how much bigger I get this time!
  • @JLaVO888 I wish that Hygeia was an option with my insurance!

@cmerribury I didn't find you on fb (before the group) but I didn't get superGoogleSleuth or anything, just tried looking on fb for what wasn't your name haha!

  • Guys, I've been awake since about 4:15...got out of bed around 5:20 to pee, ate some waffles, then saw the first little bit of nesting ever for me. Decided to wash all the dishes in the sink and clean the kitchen counters and stove top. Also folded a ton of clothes (all clean sadly...) that have been on our floor for around a month probably. Needless to say, I'm not the one who does any cleaning in this relationship so DH was quite surprised this morning, haha. He walked in the bedroom and said, "what have you done in here? We actually have a floor!" I've been dying to decorate a nursery but we're in a one bedroom, and I don't even have furniture to set up LOs space in our room :( wanting to get things set up so I figured I should probably clean up a bit lol

  • Welp:

All of my morning paperwork is done before the deadline of 10AM (I had it all done at least 10 minutes ago).  Now I'm going to be sitting here bored out of my mind until my boss gets back from her meeting (God only knows when that will be).  I'm already in a mood thanks to the director- critiquing one of my suspension letters and telling me legally I have to do something official on it.  Problem is, I DID IT and he didn't scroll down enough on the computer to see it had been done.  I get critiqued so much on these suspension letters that I try harder to make them right, only to find I'm making more mistakes because I'm overthinking them.  It drives me nuts!

I'm still sticking to my guns- once baby is out I will be looking for a new job.  I can't keep getting spoken to about mistakes- especially when I don't make them, and can't even get an apology in return.

I think baby is definitely in fat storing mode. Last few days all I want are high fat foods. And sugar. Funny this all made me sick first tri. But say hello to the biggest cinnamon roll in the world. And coffee. And chocolate milk.

@smushiI don't know about you, but Halloween candy was my weak point. I was only giving away the candy I didn't like, so I could eat my favs from the bowl. Going through the holidays pregnant is really taking a toll on trying to stay on track with healthy eating.  :#

This looks like my breakfast for the past 6 months!
I suppose it's a good thing I passed my glucose test! Otherwise, I have no idea what to eat for breakfast!
Today, I'm trying a jimmy dean sausage sandwich.....but I really want a cinnamon roll!!

This picture gives me heartburn just looking at it!! Anything sweet practically kills me. Looks delicious though! I get the results from my 3 hour glucose test at my appointment today. Re-reading what I just typed doesn't give me much hope.
  • hey guys, just a quick question that i didn't feel needed a whole new thread..

have your babies become a lot less active at all..? my LO used to kick the crap out of me almost all day it felt like. then the last 2 weeks I've noticed he's really decreased in movement. i didn't really feel him at all yesterday, apart from one tiny nudge. i have an appointment in am hour with my doctor so this will be the first thing i mention. was just wondering if any of you March mama's have experienced something similar.
  • I have days where LO isn't as active.....but overall she's still moving a lot. I think I have noticed more movement as the days go by than anything else....mainly because their is less room as she gets bigger and I feel more of her movements than when she was smaller (anterior placenta here).

Try not to stress too much about it. It could be nothing. I have had a few pregnant friends that went days without feeling (or at least noticing) movement and everything was fine.....but I would definetly bring it up to your doctor. I guarantee they would rather see/hear from you a 1000 times and have it be nothing than you not say anything at all.

I've noticed my little man doesn't move as much either.  I now have days like yesterday where he was pretty quiet, just moving enough to let me know he is still there, but today he has been moving quite a bit.  It scares the crap out o me!  I'm also seeing the doctor today at 3:15 so I'm going to ask as well.  I am worrying too much over everything

  • @kyraaD  - also....try drinking some orange juice or ice cold water and lay on your left side for a little bit and see if LO starts moving again.

As baby gets bigger, he/she runs out of room and movements do decrease.  Or baby could have turned.  But yes, there is generally less movement in the last few weeks.  But definitely pay attention today.  If you're worried, try to lay on your left side and chug orange juice.

  • @kyraaD same here. It seems like he goes a day or two of little to no movement and then the next few days are spent moving around like crazy. Clearly he just likes to pick on me like his daddy...lol. I was going to ask at my appt too but that's not till Thursday. I asked about this on the question or symptom thread maybe a week or so ago and people said as long as I can feel some movement throughout the day then he should be fine. I feel less kicks and punches and more stretching and rolling since he's bigger and running out of space.
