Good luck on your growth scans today ladies!! I am not going to lie - I am SUPER jealous you get to see your little ones. I miss seeing that glob up there on the screen moving around, but very thankfully I haven't had any reason to see him since the A/S I suppose.

    @sarahfoley725, YGPM

ETA: I published before I was finished - whoops! So I took unisom for the first time last night and I slept well, but I had the HARDEST time getting up this morning. Oh man! I was seriously dead to the world. My alarm was going off but I couldn't even force my body to flip over to turn it off lol DH was not pleased. I think I will do a half tablet tonight but I hope it has the same effect through the night.

Yay for good sleep.  You can see why I need 2 cups of coffee a day now.  :D

  • I am 90% sure dh hid my bra at the bottom of the laundry basket to make me do laundry. Of course he did it on a day where I have 42 million things to do. Then the coffee maker wasn't working so I went to do something and came back to it overflowing. I'm going to lose it.

I have to go back to work this afternoon. At least it's only two days a week. I have dreaming two night this week I was having a boy. Last night it was premie twin boys. This baby better come out a girl because a boy would be sad with the nursery we are almost done with.
  • I have a growth ultrasound tomorrow and I have this completely ridiculous fear they're going to say something is wrong and we need to pop over and deliver baby. It's probably because DH is in another state but I'm completely stressed out about it. Stupid, I know but it's just chilling in the back of my mind.
Our estimated due date is March 8th.

DH got free plane tickets halfway across the country for 48 hours to attend a convention that he REALLY wants to attend. It's February 19-20! A mere 18 days before the due date! Well within likely delivery territory!

But I told him to go anyway. He REALLY wants to go and the tickets were free.
If I start having contractions while he's gone, I'll get some acupuncture to try to hold them off.
If that doesn't work out, he can jump on the next plane home and be by my side before the baby comes (if I'm like many FTMs and it takes hours upon hours to deliver)

    No big deal.

I truly cherish Thursdays! I can't wait until tomorrow!!
On Thursdays, my nephew (5 mo) spends the day with us (me). They always bring the stroller so I can get my daily 3 mile walk. We hang out and play all day! It's great!!

But it's SO FUNNY the looks we get! Makes me laugh out loud sometimes. Here I am pushing a stroller with a young baby in it and I'm totally very obviously pregnant.

It took the lady at the front desk at the gym about a month to finally ask if he was mine. Technically, it's not possible because he's only 5 months old. However, I can see how people would assume I popped one out and am already about to pop another. It's very funny!

I'm sad to say that I'm very disappointed in myself. I never went out to get my Cinnabon nor my chocolate peanut butter pie yesterday and now I'm desperately craving them. WAAAAHHH!! :(

  • @SarahFoley725 I say drink that coffee! For all my growth scans, they never measured the active ultrasound (which would require the baby to stay "still" for the measurement), rather they found a good angle and took a still frame and measured that.  In fact, at one of mine they actually had me chug some OJ to get her moving around MORE b/c they weren't getting a good angle and needed some more options!

This. My last ultrasound baby would not cooperate at all. So was balled up facing backwards and refused to move.
  • My DH is a delivery driver for a local company (not like UPS or anything big). He just found out that he's getting put on a new run that will take him to the next state over (4-5 hr drive) once a week. Here's hoping this baby doesn't choose to come on that day! Ha. I'm not terribly worried. My mom and sister have flexible jobs and I have lots of friends nearby that could drive me to the hospital/take my kids. But DD2 was born 10 hours after I felt the first contraction. Supposedly each kid comes quicker, right? Could be interesting!

That one would make me nervous.  What time of day were your births?  DS2 was 5 hours quicker than DS1, but it was still right at the 12 hour mark.

With DD1, I got to the hospital at 5:00 pm and she was born at 2:52 am.
With DD2, I felt that first contraction at 8:30 am and she was born at 6:12 pm. Funny story, actually DH was headed out of town on a run (only an hour away that time) and I called him and told him he better turn around.

Try not to worry.  Growth scans can be way off.  She might have had a growth spurt this week and you might plateau for a little bit.  Now go drink coffee and relax!

My DH is supposed to fly to DC to be our nephew's Confirmation sponsor (he's also his godfather) March 2-5 and my guess date is the 15th. (Our #3's bday is also the 6th but he's into turning 2 and I don't think he'll mind haha.) I'm just counting on this not being our first early baby, but I am a little nervous.

Totally possible! One of my friends adopted their second baby and got pregnant during the process. The girls are only 7m apart!

@SarahFoley725 don't forget how notoriously wrong those measurement scans are! You're gonna rock L&D.

My first son measured two weeks ahead at the 30 week mark (to check placenta placement) and when I asked if they were going to move my due date they looked at me like I'd sprouted three extra heads. I assumed that meant that he was going to be GIGANTIC and on time. However, he was just GIGANTIC and early...so that's always a possibility. Try not to worry, sweetheart. Everything will work out as it should, and she's healthy, which is what matters most.

  • Yes I'm certainly glad she's a healthy one! They didn't move my due date either. They set up another US in 3 weeks because they want to keep monitoring me! They're concerned I may not be able to have her vaginally because of my size. So maybe she'll pump the break on her growing!

DH just texted me. He went in to sign his paperwork for his full-time promotion.  He is getting- between a raise and 12 more hours a week- almost double PER WEEK what he used to bring home!  I almost fell out of my chair!  I have the college degree, and he now makes more than me!
    That's amazing!  Congrats!

  • Thanks @cmerribury :)  It will definitely help a lot!  Things got really tight when DH's old boss cut his hours from 32-34 down to 28. Then that boss got let go (karma?), and after shifting staff his new boss worked his tail off to get him to full time status.

It didn't help that while I had taken a new job and technically get paid more, my (AMAZING) insurance and union dues etc.. cause me to bring home a lot less than I am used to. That only added to the struggle.

  • @SarahFoley725 Sorry your scan was shocking and probably uncomfortable. I've had one vaginal u/s in my life and don't care for another. Was she really so far down that the tech couldn't do a regular belly u/s?

She couldn't see my cervix! She could get a look at everything else but babies head was blocking off that part haha.

I know that the measurements can be off and I told them that my preference would be to let her come when she's ready. If I need a C section so be it but I'd rather just do it when I'm in labor and not before. I guess we'll just have to see how she continues to progress. I assume if she's big still in three weeks they'll probably schedule another US.
  • @charley15 congrats to your DH that is wonderful news!!

@skruhmin was it you who posted the cinnamon bun yesterday? I had never had one! I bought one this morning, not bad at all!
