  • @NicknShan  OMG sssoooooo cute! Congrats on doing it.

@samsonator  I had O'Douls during my last pregnancy. It really isn't bad at all and definitely felt good feeling normal again. And also has to be better than chugging soda all the time.

  • My random thought today is I'm so glad I'm in the June board and not July. I'm due at the end of June, so could have the baby in July, so I've been lurking the July board. They seem so much more dramatic than here.

I feel like we should post this on every thread, especially the heated ones.....*you know which ones I'm talkin' 'bout* This board is super tame compared to ones I've been part of.

I like that for the most part everyone is really respectful of everyone's opinion. As long as you not an asshole or a troll, we can disagree and still have a nice discussion.

It seems that that most "heated" discussion threads here are the stupid guess the sex of my baby by a profile pic.

I couldn't even bring myself to read the whole post from the OP. Stupid MUD. At least I really hope so.
  • Umm... is anyone else watching the Miss Universe pageant right now and feeling like a fat cow? No? Just me? ughhhh

Girrrrrrl, you're growing a human. Give yourself some grace!
  • I am not sure if that was mud... not a drive by, and came back to comment.  Poor girl if it's true.  That post really made me want to watch The Labyrinth.

I turned off Miss Universe right after the top 5 answers questions... I wish I would've continued to watch.

Did not watch; and just literally found out what happened...OMG

That is the worst.  Shame on you Steve Harvey :-1:

  • My aunt and her family "adopted" a 19 year old mother and her 9 month old baby from a local battered womens shelter. Yesterday I went with them to pick up items at Target for their Christmas wish list. When we got to the baby stuff, I could not stop looking - so many things. It made me want to buy everything in sight, and was also utterly overwhelming at the same time. This is what was running through my head the whole time...

    - How many different kinds of diapers do they sell?!
    - Why in the fack would I ever buy organic, bleach free diapers. For $25. THAT COME IN A PACKAGE OF 8 DIAPERS.
    - These little newborn socks...OMG. Freaking adorable.
    - Is my newborn really going to use this thing? It looks unnecessary.
    - Oh shit, we're going to need diapers. Lots of them. Can I get these in bulk?
    - I need this.
    - And this.
    - Oh and this too.
    - Get it together. No, we don't need any of this. Our baby isn't going to be able to do anything but sleep, eat, fart and poop for the first 6 months at least. We do not need this.
  • Off to google what happened!

  • @mrsschmity  Yes!  It is overwhelming!  I didn't get the draw to the wicked expensive diapers either, but I get it more now (we still haven't used them--I am a Pampers mom).  My friend's baby breaks out in a rash with everything except for the froofy expensive ones and cloth diapers.  So, it makes sense for babies with super sensitive bottoms!

  • Also, for the Steve Harvey/Miss Universe thing, I haven't seen it but my friends all think it was staged for publicity!

  • A lot of the fanciest brand name diapers are literally identical (except for maybe fancy designs like on Honest Co diapers) to generic store brand "natural"/unbleached diapers. I also know kids who break out in a nasty rash from basic Pampers, etc. But most of them are in cloth diapers as a result. Who can afford $25 for 8 diapers? I could get 5 cloth diapers for that price and reuse them forever.

Washing poop out of diapers is gross but what can I say, I like $$$
  • So this weekend we told both of our families about the upcoming baby. My SIL responded by pulling out an awesome Quinny stroller she picked up from a swap for $20 and gave it to me! Score! I was just going to go stroller-less because I hate cheap strollers (my old one seemed like an infant death trap, I don't know why it was even legal) and would rather buy a fancy woven wrap than an expensive stroller, but now I can have both. WoO!

That was awesome. I love the comments.
On my S14 board we had a drive by poster asking if crapping her pants for 45 minutes without knowing it was a sign of labor. It was the funniest thing I have ever read on TB. We still joke about it to this day.

Haha! Had to be MUD! There's no way you can poop for 45 minutes and not know it. Unless something is seriousssly wrong. We don't get very much MUD on this board.. Yet.
