Yesterday I sent a grumpy note to StitchFix about how all the maternity clothes they sent me this month seemed styled for a 60-year-old and just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I want to dress in ugly clothes. Last night I dreamed that StitchFix HQ had sicced the Internet on me for being mean to them. Also there was a roller coaster.
Yes! This! I had the same complaint when I got my last box. Aaaaannnndddddd. ... they sent me the same things two months in a row !
Omg. DH is working late. My cloth-diapered toddler has diarrhea. And my gag reflex is out of control. I cannot deal with this. SEND HELP.
Worst nightmare!! Hope your DH arrived home since.
@gray51015 cuties!! Is it hard to foster? How long do you tend to have to keep them? I'd love to do that but would be afraid I'd get attached and want to adopt them all!
Since I'm awake I figure I will stay up long enough to see my stuff change over to 13 week. I get pretty excited when the weeks change and new info comes up on my apps (even though I've already read through every week and could quote most of the stuff from TB). Also, some places say second trimester starts at the beginning of 13 weeks, some say beginning of 14 weeks. The ones who place it beginning of 14 weeks have the second trimester aa shortest. WHY DOES THE BEST/EASIEST TRI HAVE TO BE THE SHORTEST?!?! Past midnight now. Got some updating to check out.
@huskerfamily Thanks! Dh shook his head and sighed really loud and dramatic, then the other pup came around the corner to see what the noise was and he said "that better be its shadow" !!! Hahaha. He's a softy for puppies though and fairly used to me bringing them home, it has just been a while since our last.
@HighFive16 It isn't too hard if you go into with the mindset that you're just watching these puppies for someone else and they aren't yours. We have had one "foster fail" (meaning one dog that was meant to be a foster dog, but is never leaving our home now) but in the past year we have had 22 dogs through our house on the way to their forever homes, so all in all it isn't too terribly hard.
Doctor's office just contacted me to let me know my insurance company advised my NT scan will cost me $130, because I haven't met my yearly deductible. C'mon, now! That's the SAME cost to me as the NIPT.
OK seriously - this Donald Trump stuff has gone on long enough. I'm actually getting worried that he's a legitimate candidate for the U.S. Presidency. Please tell me I'm wrong. And if I'm not wrong, I will happily sponsor any of you who want to move to Canada
@CourtJack - DH and I have already discussed Canada if the idiot wins (which I seriously don't think he will, even if he does win the Rep. nomination. There cannot be that many evil/ignorant people in America... I hope). I'm from Cleveland, so it would actually put us closer to my family!
Be right there, @CourtJack! Please have some Canadian deliciousness ready for me to eat.
There is lots of deliciousness up here! In preparation for your trip, you should check out this video of a famous chef making one of our many delicacies.
Anyone else having these random shooting pains through their vagina/pelvic area? I feel like I am repeatedly being kicked in the crotch. I'm assuming it's what some women refer to as "lightning crotch" but since this is my first pregnancy I have no idea. I didn't think lightning crotch happened until later in pregnancy...wtf man.
@denny+lee It's been happening off and on ALL day today! It's like my crotch is hooked up to a taser and I keep getting zapped. Glad I'm not alone though!
@mrsschmity yes! It happened to me this weekend when I was laying in bed and I kept squirming and saying "ow ow owwww" and DH was so confused until it finally stopped and I told him what happened. It's only been that one time but it was NOT fun.
@mrsschmity I've been describing it as a tens machine hooks up to my vagina (it's a physical therapy tool that gives intermittent shocks to the inner muscles). Not fun. Sorry lady!
@CourtJack my FIL (Canadian side) makes this amazing salmon pie. Gah! So good. I could eat it for days.
One of DH's coworkers posted this on FB a few minutes ago. I went to comment and saw that DH already had commented saying he'd take getting kicked in the balls any day over doing labor and delivery once - I like him. I continued to comment and not be nice anyway because hormones, but by the time I finished he had deleted the post. Idiot.

While I would definitely welcome you all to Canada with open arms, I'm not sure we would be safe here from the idiocy of Trump if god forbid he got elected. That guy would destroy the whole world.
Anyway, I choose to have more faith in the American people than that. No way are there enough supporters for that idiot to actually make him the president.

@Emztron500 I certainly hope you are right but the fact that he is a front runner is extremely disconcerting.

I still feel like we are all on candid camera. Like this is a social experiment on America to see how we would react, and maybe unite again as a nation as we all share hatred for Trump.

I only said this to my husband yesterday. If Trump gets in, we have to quit our American dream and get back to Ireland. It is legit scary. @NicknShan I thought the same , that maybe it was for reality TV or someething!
Re: Weekly Randoms 12/13

Edited to add: I just asked my husband how far we could go for a pregnancy craving. He said sure let's cross the border. (We are only 20 min away).
