Thanks for asking. She is actually back again with more ctx. She's been there about an hour. They are giving her the steroid shot to help develop his lungs and trying to stop them. If they can't they will air vac her to a larger hospital. We live in a rural area. The closest hospitals are 30 min away and hey are both really small and don't have a NICU. I'm hoping they can keep him in there. My neice already has heart problems and requires a lot of care. I know this would be really hard on them. Thanks for all the T&P ladies.

Oh gosh-I hope they're able to stop labor a second time! Thinking of you and your family.
@fishwife799 Sending good vibes from here too! If a success story helps, my BIL's sister went into pre-term labour this summer at 24 or 25 weeks (at that point I think there is a 50/50 chance of survival). She was only 2.5 lbs when she was born and now she's got a whopping 10+ lb girl! I know it's a scary time, and 32 weeks its obviously not ideal, but survival rates are extremely high and they take excellent care of babies in the NICU! Hoping for the best outcome for her and baby!
@fishwife799 Sorry to read your update. Hoping they can halt everything for just a little longer for them. FX for all.
Tonight I am making a stew. First night not munching junk in a long time. Yippee! I love winter stews so am really looking forward to it now I can smell it. But I hear ya @mkemommy, it is hard to get used to craving junk to survive when you are used to healthy eating. But yay for still fitting in the jeans!
Thank you all for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. She is home again. They were able to stop the CTX and they gave her an injection to help develop his lungs quicker. She also has meds she has to take for the next two weeks. After that point they will just allow her to have him. Obviously we want him to stay put as long as possible so that's what we are hoping for.
@fishwife799 we will be thinking of her and her LO. Hopefully they can ride out at least the next two weeks. I feel so badly for her. How worrying for them all.
@fishwife399 glad to hear it's stopped again! My sister had a baby at 34 weeks earlier this year after receiving the steroid injections for lung development and he was born very healthy. Only had to stay in the NICU for a while because he struggled with independent feeding, but otherwise he was in great health. Hopefully she can ride out a few more weeks as it really makes a huge difference. My sister did say those steroids are no picnic though
Totes had the most real feeling dream that I looked down and could see into my uterus. LO was smiling at me just floating around. I was so freaking happy. Now I'm at work and just wish I could sleep.
@Emztron500 tacos sound soooo good, but I would order them and be grossed out by the meat when they arrived. Sigh. Grilled cheese it is.
Ugh! There's this completely awkward guy at my work (walked by and whispered "are you pregnant?" like it would be a less offensive guess if he were wrong since he didn't shout it). Today he asked if I was going to the Christmas Party and when I said no, he said "Yeah I wouldn't either if I was in your condition," then pointed out the reasons why it would be a bad idea. I know he's trying to be interested, but I just had a totally random urge to slap him with an awkward turtle. Like a live turtle. The things my pregnant mind comes up with!
Also- No, not paying $40 for an open bar and pub food I can't stomach, but totes crashing with some other pals and ordering up myself a Shirley Temple and some fries, so there rando coworker telling me to eat healthy. Jump off my uterus! (End pregnancy rage)
Eta: realized this might qualify as a twatwaffle(?) so posted it over there. Sorry for the duplication!
@HBamama2B awkward coworkers are the worst! I wish it were socially acceptable to just say to coworkers "don't speak to me; I don't want to be your friend."
I couldn't read through all the comments because I started late.
My husband switched which way we open our master bathroom door (per my request - it opens into our room rather than into the bathroom so now I can have a rug in front of my sink). Now, the door handle is on the other side, meaning the light switch is on the wrong side and it really bothers me. Now I want the light switches moved. How hard is that task?
@HBamama2B hell no, I would have been so mad. Also, you have to pay for your holiday party???? That's no treat? That's a trick and should be in October!!!! I thought the whole point of work holiday parties was to do something nice for their employees!
I am realizing that I have inherited my grandmother's knack for having absolutely no idea how to gauge portions when it comes to baking or cooking. Every time I try it's like I'm feeding an entire platoon of people.
My sister and I made Christmas cookies over the weekend, and I decided today that I needed to bake more. I have 10 different kinds of cookies/treats. TEN. Possibly more. And some of those are double batches. Looks like I'll be giving away a shitload of Christmas goodies this year.
@Mrsschmity - I will gladly take some off of your hands...
Ded. You guys should just time travel through the interwebz, come over to my place and have a girls day full of sparkling wine and Christmas cookies. -------qbf-----
Deal. Let you know when I get the magic interwebz travel machine up and running. Probs only take an hour or two of tinkering, k?
My random for the day is also a confession that I should probably be flamed for, but no worries, I will get PLENTY of flaming from DH when he gets home.
I just agreed to foster two puppies for our local rescue. Two chow/st. Bernard puppies.. roughly 6 weeks. I have been working with this rescue for over a year now, but since we found out I was pregnant I have been slacking off with the fosters because I don't want a bunch of random orphaned dogs in my house once baby gets here. These two pups are tiny and adorable and in a high kill pound right now and I just caved.

I'll share a pic as soon as I get them home and cleaned up. They're adorable!
Yesterday I sent a grumpy note to StitchFix about how all the maternity clothes they sent me this month seemed styled for a 60-year-old and just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I want to dress in ugly clothes. Last night I dreamed that StitchFix HQ had sicced the Internet on me for being mean to them. Also there was a roller coaster.
Guys. The internet time machine is taking a bit longer than expected. Also, no passport necessary... I love all my Canadian friends. Plus I have diplomatic immunity so I can get you guys over here no prob. We good
Re: Weekly Randoms 12/13
@CourtJack lice is no fun, I had it in 4th grade. Thought my neck would break off as my mom picked them out.

Me too! I'm Canadian though. Will I need my passport for this interweb travel machine?
Pretty sure it's an international, no holds barred machine *thumbs up*
Yep, the interwebz magic machine don't care about no passports! Psh.
