Any other 40+ weekers out there?

Boy I thought waiting to get to 40 weeks would be hard! Everyday after is even more torture. I'm still working and going in everyday is a chore. How are you ladies doing?

38wks +3 here. Both my other boys were 5 + and 3 + late but I never had to be induced. Hang in there, it's almost over!

My due date was the 3rd but as a ftm being late is pretty expectant (so I'm told). I'm trying to keep busy and be patient but the anticipation is killing me! I dont mind being late but Ideally I'm hoping that I don't go so late that I have to be induced. Guess we'll see! Just the waiting game now..

I turned 40 weeks today. Just sitting here waiting to pop slowly losing my mind. Doesn't help little boy decided to break dance all night long!

40 weeks plus 4 days over here. Pretty miserable. Trying everything I can to get baby to come before induction day on Monday!

Im 40+3. Going in for nst and bpp. I wanted a vbac but im not allowed to go ove and induction is impossibl with a vbac. So im facing a c section for no good reason and i am terrified. (Very VERY bad experience ended with me having ptsd). I am not coping well.

My due date was Wednesday. I'm still working too! Really not feeling impatient or anything only because I know they are going to induce me by the 10th if she doesn't come on her own by then. I am just surprised to have baby number 3 be late! A little sad tho because my mom is coming from half way across the country on Monday and I may not have a baby for her to visit!

40 weeks 2 days this is my second and my first came at 37 and 2 so I have been ready for awhile so this seems like forever my midwife will let me go to 42 weeks as long as everything still looks ok

They are going to induce me on Wednesday (41 weeks) but as a FTM I was really hoping to go naturally. I'm crossing my fingers and toes

I'm here from the N15 and still pregnant I was suppose to get induce yesterday but one of hospital charge nurse called and said we will have to reschedule for this Tuesday , geesh I was so excited to get that call I want baby girl to get here when she's ready

40+1 I'm just really uncomfortable, Lots of pressure and it hurts sometimes. I purposely took my DD to school today in my truck because its lifted for offroading and offers a more "bumpy ride" then my commuter car, drove it around for a bit hoping it sparks something. And then took my doggy for a walk. I can't even call my husband at work for anything without him saying "is it time?" So I just text him now.

Lurking from N15...my due date was November 30th and now I'm looking at an induction on Monday Dec 7th. I'd rather not be induced, but the last 4 days have been rough emotionally and mentally that I'm just ready to meet this baby and be mommy!

My DH is the same way. He calls or texts several times a day to see if everything is still ok. I've promised him I'll let him know if it's not but I guess that's not enough. I don't mind him, it's all the other people calling and texting and telling me he will come when he is ready that bug me

Well I passed nst and bpp...she said i can come in at midnight, get antibiotics and then she will break my water and give me a chance at vbac!!! I hope this is all it will take!!!

I pray so!!! You would think baby #9 would just waltz right out and say hello!! Lol this is the longest i have gone since my first which was almost 3 weeks past due!!! And almost 11 pounds lol

I am also 40+4 and am having a tricky time. I still feel great, and have zero labour signs. I stopped working on November 20th and wish I hadn't. I've had two weeks off, which is making waiting worse. I dont feel like I am getting anywhere. I know that it is "normal" to go 1-2 weeks over but I wake up every day just looking for any sign and not feeling anything. Pregnant is my new normal. I have a midwife so there are no plans for induction, and unlike everyone else I know with an OB I haven't had a pelvic exam so I dont know if I am dilated or effaced at all. At this point I just want some sort of insight. What makes it worse is that I am in a facebook group with 7 other local moms that were all due in November/December and they ALL had their babies early! It doesn't make sense. They were all FTMs except 1, and they all delivered naturally between 36-38 weeks. I have 3 other girlfriends that also gave birth in the last 2 weeks as well, one was induced at 38 weeks and the other two popped at 39. It makes the whole "first babies are usually late" thing so unbearable. I dont have any support with anyone who knows the emotional pressure and stress of passing their due date and getting CONSTANT requests for baby updates. People are either so excited they don't think about how I feel, or they are just tired of the fact that I am still pregnant hahah.

It is such a high hitting that 40 week milestone, so naturally every day after that is sort of a let down! It is nice to read I am not alone.

I'm 40+3 and I agree, every day is a let down! I've had my membranes swept twice, bounced on my yoga ball, have run up and down the stairs, eaten spicy foods, raspberry leaf tea and just walking, walking, walking. My doc wants me to induce on Tuesday (due to baby's size) but I'm trying everything to get her here without the dreaded pitocin. I'm scared to death of medications and just want to have this little girl without all of it! Of course I'll do whatever the doctor recommends for her safety and health.

Oh man i am so worried my baby is huge but i have no idea. I have been measuring only by fundus height but my baby is super lopsided on my right and so it isnt very accurate. Midwives dont do a 32 week scan. I have an ultrasound on Monday but i will already be 41 weeks. What if she is really big?!

I was given two due dates- ultrasound techs said Dec 4 & the nurse practitioner at the clinic I was going to and then my Dr. Said Nov. 28, based on what I have no idea. Either way I am overdue. I have not had any signs of labor and my doctor wants to induce of I haven't gone into labor by Wednesday afternoon.

40w+5d. Given cervadil Friday 4pm, took out 5am Saturday morning to start pitocin. 2cm dilated only and not progressing. Sent home til Tuesday to try and induce again. Praying he comes on his own before then.

@caraandjay21 My baby has been switching between the left and right sides pretty close to daily since baby has been big enough for me to tell where the spine is. My midwife has been doing fundal heights and my OB has been doing US since 28 weeks (I'm 39 weeks now). Anyway, my midwife charts the fundal heights and the OB charts baby's weight based on US and despite them saying "I'm showing small" both measurements are consistently around the 75th percentile. I actually looked specifically at my fundal heights chart because the midwife has made so many comments about "my compact bump" that I was curious if the measurements were consistent and they have been. I don't know why my midwife expects something different visually but the measurements have been consistent between both methods for me, despite my midwife thinking I am some sort of anomaly.

My EDD is in two days. Doc says he'll put me on the roster for induction if I don't go naturally by the 10th $:\$ I really wanted to avoid inducing baby boy.

Any 40+ weekers have success stories of dislodging our stubborn LO's naturally lol

Jesus my OB measured 3870 g today (sorry American ladies, Germans and their metric system).
I have a really small bump and no idea where this kid is hiding! He HAS to come now and not grow even larger. Tearing is already my biggest fear!!!!

So nice to know I'm not alone... Today I'm 40 weeks and 3 days FTM. I never expected to go past my due date, because I felt like it was a little off all along. Plus, most of my friends and cousins went around 38-39 weeks so I sort of just assumed I would too. We went to the doctor yesterday... Not dilated, not effaced, cervix is still closed, and he hasn't dropped at all. They did a non stress test and ultrasound... everything looked great so she won't induce until TUESDAY 12/15, which feels like 3 years away. My due date was 12/5. My pelvis is killing me because he's a bigger baby (8 lbs) and I'm small-framed. Just getting out of bed during the nights has become extremely uncomfortable with all the pressure.

I'm trying to stay positive, but I'm so DONE with being pregnant and just want to meet our son. I feel irritated, which is not my personality so I'm trying to stay away from people so as not to say anything snappy. Our family has been so loving and supportive this entire pregnancy, but now all the well-meaning calls/texts saying "is the baby coming today?!" make me feel like something is wrong with me for not going into labor yet.

My husband and I had the most wonderful day on our due date because we've been looking forward to that day almost all year... And we were so grateful if finally came..... And then it went. And now everyday after feels like such a challenge to get through mentally. I just want to meet our son!

Good luck!!! Hopefully, baby will decide to come today or this evening. Either way, you will soon be holding your precious little one in your arms. You can do this!!!
