@martinez1029 mine are tender but not sore. I'm super bloated also with some super lovely acne! Good times, the things we do...lol
Last night I was super emotional, I flew off the handle on DH and then cried my eyes out. Today I'm like wow that was dumb! This whole process is just such an emotional roller coaster!
I keep swinging back and forth between being excited and then being sad because I remind myself that there's no guarantees that this worked, and most likely didn't. It screws with my head!
@Drove2u and @erica0901, @ultratomato my DH has the sameeee issues. If he has ANYTHING bothering him it's a no go. And lord forbid he eat too much for dinner bc it's not happening then either lol
@martinez1029 I'm also sure this is TMI but if anyone understands it's you ladies! I'm also like mass producing CM to the point that I contemplated a pad yesterday. That's def never happened to me before!
@kh87 famous lines from DH my stomach hurts, I have a headache, and I'm tired boy if they were in our shoes they wouldn't last a day lol we are some strong women
@ultratomato with mine it's "let's do it tomorrow". I'm like oh yeah okay I'll just tell my ovaries to hold off an extra day! Rightttt. I know the struggle girls!
@kh87 are you talking a progesterone suppository ? Those can give you lots of CM! Oh please , nothing is TMI lol I'm not emotional yet(that will start next week I'm sure as I approach the end of the 2ww) I'll feel anxious, excited, angry, stressed, depressed... you name it! I just have an endless pit in my stomach. Do you have a ravenous hunger ?
@martinez1029 nope! I go for my progesterone test on Wednesday. I can only imagine what a wreck I'll be at the end of this wait. And yes yes yes! I'm eating a second dinner right now lol. DH thinks I'm insane because I'm sooooo hungry. That also I'm sure contributed to why I couldn't button my pants lol
@kh87 Lol same! It's probably from the trigger shot. Are you cramping at all? It's too early to feel anything that would actually contribute to an actual successful pregnancy right? I drive myself NUTS searching for symptoms every month.
@martinez1029 I had some the day after but haven't had much since. I keep thinking I feel different but then figure I'm wishing it. I'm the Google queen, it's a sickness. It's bad, we shouldn't do it.
It's so frustrating. Well we didn't Bd last night but did 6am this morning. I wonder if it was too late already. Ugh. We also did on Saturday. Well all I can do now is wait I guess.
@kh87 I can totally relate about going off and being super emotional on DH. I had a sob fest a few weekends ago and it all started b/c a friend told me her fish died (sooo stupid I know!) but it set off the waterworks and then I couldn't stop! My DH has handled all this stuff like a champ for the most part though!
Well, I think I am officially out, while beta is still rising it's very, very slowly (127 as of yesterday, started at 50 a week ago) and AF made an appearance over the weekend. I will have to go back every 2-3 days for blood work to monitor the levels and ensure they start going down eventually and to ensure it's not ectopic.
Meeting scheduled with RE on 12/07 to discuss next steps, whether is be a 4th IUI with some significant med changes as I've been on clomid the past three times or just move forward with IVF starting in January. Of course yesterday we get a statement from insurance that they haven't covered anything for the past month because we went over the maximum approved visits for this current referral when we were initially approved for 3 IUI cycles. Now we are trying to work with my clinic to get them to send a retro-referral and it's turning into a huge headache and we are getting the run around. Thankfully my DH said he would deal with that b/c I was about to go off on someone yesterday and it wasn't going to be good.
On the bright side, I guess I can enjoy a few glasses of wine on Thanksgiving now, right?
@Drove2u good luck! At least you're not out of the running!
@mtpbadger at least I know someone else understands the emotional instability of it all! Lol. Sending you positive vibes for your next round! You enjoy every bit of that Thanksgiving wine!
@kh87 I google everything too it's not even healthy ! I make myself cry sometimes . This morning I've been having a pulling sensation on my uterus like a strange cramping. It's only 5dpiui so way too early for AF . Ugh I hate this whole not knowing game. How are you feeling today? Any different ?
@martinez1029 I have the same thing! It's almost like its tight or something. Hard to explain. My boobs are a little more sore and I woke up feeling like I haven't eaten in days (even though I had a second dinner before bed). No spotting or bleeding and the CM seems to have drastically dried up some. Are you feeling any different today?
My DH has the same issues, plus he struggles with low T and ED (he's on meds for both), so it's always somewhat of a battle to get him to BD when the time comes. We used to fight about it, but then we had a Big Talk and he told me how pressured and inadequate it made him feel when I try to get him to have TI, and I told him how stressful it was for me to have to always be the one to initiate it every single time not knowing if he'll even be willing to try, and it really would increase our chances of getting pregnant even during an IUI cycle. Ever since then we both have been more compassionate to the other's feelings. The past couple of cycles, at least he was willing and tried (this cycle with no success, but I'm content that he tried). As for this cycle, well, he managed to produce 80M swimmers for our IUI, with a grade 4 forward motility, so I'm just praying that one of 'em made it!
Regarding symptoms from the meds, this has been my experience so far: Clomid - makes me fluctuate between being ravenously hungry and totally nauseous. Ovidrel - no noticeable side effects besides minor soreness in injection area for a few hours. Progesterone suppositories: bloated, icky, leaky, emotional, ANGRY, moody, no patience, tired, can't concentrate. I hate that stuff! ::sigh::
@kh87 well idk If I was just up late because DH was watching football at 11:30 but I'm EXHAUSTED . I don't go into work until 2 today ... But I usually always wake up at 8 and today I woke up to eat and just slept til 11:15 again! And my boobs are still wicked soar.
Update: I spoke with the doctors office today (finally) and the nurse told me I most likely ovulated last Thursday or possibly even last Wednesday. She said there is no way to definitively tell from the bloodwork, but that I should test 12/3 and not 12/4. She did say that they made a mistake and next cycle I will come in earlier in the cycle for US and BW. Again, still not out for this cycle though since we did BD last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

@kh87 and @roxgibbons I think I'm experiencing side effects of the trigger shot as well. I just took it for the first time last night and I don't think I've ever been this moody, bloated, and overall just feeling disgusting and unattractive. I feel like a hormonal mess!!!! And I just want to cry.
Our IUI is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9:45 am eastern!! I'm really nervous but also excited, and trying my best to be hopeful despite how moody and gross I feel.
I also want to jump in on the issues with BD'ing discussion because I experience this too, and an issue occurred as recently as last night. My RE told us to BD the night of the trigger, so I get home from work and DH gives me my ovidrel shot and then says he's REALLY not in the mood to BD. I wasn't either, and I think the reason we both weren't was because I was still recovering from a cold and DH is pretty germaphobic. I guess I can't really blame him for not wanting to BD with a sick person, but it upset me because it was doctor's orders. Like @ErikaMG my DH also has low T and low sperm count and this has affected his sex drive. However last cycle when we were still TTC naturally he had no problem doing the deed several times during my ovulation window. I think it's the pressure of the IUI combined with bad timing with my sickness. Instead of BD'ing last night he just made sure he took care of things on his own since we knew that the importance of the BD the night of the trigger was just to clear out his tubes so he has fresh sperm for our IUI. This whole thing certainly didn't help my already awful mood!!
@Drove2u - I'm so sorry about your DH getting let go... that sucks period but sucks extra due to the timing. I hope you weren't too late this morning!
Edited because I can't type, among other things.

Thanks @wifeinraleigh28 getting our husbands to BD is so difficult sometimes. I thought they would just do it because they're men and they generally like sex. It does comfort me that others experience the same thing and it's not just us. But I have to say I feel like I just want his sperm. Lol. Like while BD he wants me to climax and I'm like who cares that doesn't matter...you're the one that needs to. Of course I don't say that. Haha
@wifeinraleigh28 good luck on your IUI tomorrow!! @Drove2u I'm sorry about your husband being let go. Some months it feels like everything is against us especially when TTC. You never know though it may all work out for this month
Just to chime in on the BD thing. My husband has definitely had some moments when he couldn't perform or I could tell he wasn't in the mood. In fact our RE wanted us to BD the night before my trigger and he just couldn't do it, We were already in some stupid argument so the BD felt really forced and unnatural and all I wanted was his sperm as bad as that sounds. I've had friends who have had the same issues with their husbands /partners while TTC. There is so much pressure around timing but unfortunately that is the way the femake body works.
So we are definitely not alone Hope everyone is having a good day.

@martinez1029 I feel like I haven't had a good poop in several days so a little uncomfortable in that department. No cramping/spotting/bleeding yet. Pimples on top of pimples and no more excess CM. have you checked your cervix at all? The other day mine was super high and I could barely touch it. Like three days ago. Now it's low and hard again. Makes me wonder if I hadn't ovulated yet when I had my IUI or what. Who knows, I'm a worrier. Are you taking any Tylenol for it?
@kh87 no im not. im one of those people who never ever takes medication unless im dying lol. I don't ever check my cervix to be honest. but I can tell you when I put in my crinone (progesterone suppository) my vagina was extremely tight and I couldn't get the applicator all the way up like I could feel it touching my cervix and I was like nope this is at far as it goes!
@martinez1029 did you already have your progesterone test? I go for mine tomorrow. Hoping I don't have to use those! Well at least mines not the only low one. I read online that when you're pregnant it goes high up, so then I got sad lol. I'm sure it's too early to go up high. I have to remind myself in 5dpiui. Not six months pregnant lol
@wifeinraleigh Good luck with your IUI tomorrow. Mine is tomorrow at 7am! We have to get up at 5:30am to make sure we have time to collect a semen sample and get to the clinic. I'm hoping DH does not have trouble. This is our first one, so we don't really know what to expect. We do have a frozen sample that could be used just in case. Thank to all who have posted about their challenges with BD so I can be prepared in case DH has trouble.

@kh87 I actually don't have low progesterone. Only cause of infertility for me was elevated prolactin levels. I've been on medication to fix that for over a year now and was referred back if I didn't get pregnant on my own . ( had a wicked stressful year so that didn't help) my RE prescribes them during treatment to make the uterus more susceptible to implantation. Just makes it nice and thick and welcoming!

Ok so I just want to make sure I'm doing BD enough this time around. Can you ladies tell me if you do it right after the trigger shot or after the iui and how many days and nights. I really want to make this my best effort if possible. Thank you
@ultratomato our dr just said to make sure you do it within three days after IUI. Can't do it the night before IUI bc of DH cooking up a good sperm count for 2-3 days.
Just went for my progesterone test. Had pelvic exam and no cysts! Woo. They said they'll call me if its low but if it's normal they won't call. I guess no news is good news but I kind of would like to know what the # is!
Just came home from my IUI this morning. We had 9 million sperm with grade 4 motility. This was not my DHs best sample, but hopefully it was good enough. I am now in the two week wait with my test day on Nov. 9th.
