@Drove2u I'm not sure yet. Don't have any in the house right now but will probably buy one tomorrow and take it either tomorrow night or Monday morning. We'll see. I don't want to see another negative test but if I don't test and the nurse calls while I'm at work I'll prob petit go to voicemail and listen on my way home

Had my CD10 ultrasound and my follicles are still really small. 5-6 of them between 6mm & 7mm. I am going to continue my follistim injections and go back on Tuesday to see if any of them continue growing. Pretty disappointed with my progress so far.
Has anyone else had cycles like this with slow growing follies? Did you make it to IUI and if so what cycle day?

@Mando15 have you been doing injections the entire time? And how many IUs? Did your doctor change your dosage at all after your ultrasound? I hope your follies continue to grow, it could just be a slower moving cycle.

@wifeinraleigh28 I did a combination cycle. 7.5mg letrozole CD3-7 and then 75iu follistim CD 8-9. This was my third medicated cycle but first with injections. My normal RE wasn't in today but the lady today told me to continue my injections and I made an appointment to go back Tuesday morning for another check.

I was really hopeful that my numbers would be better today. I guess they can still improve though, right?

@Mando15 I did not do injections , used Femara/Letrozole only. They had started my monitoring at CD10 and they were all small until CD 15.  I had to use second round of higher dose of Letrozole and I had one follicle grew to 22mm at the end. I think I had my trigger on around CD22.

I had my beta today, it is unfortunately negative. I wish best of luck to everyone who is having their IUI s this week !

@ZoeFer so sorry about your BFN. Thank you for the info though. I really just needed some hope that I may one day go for an ultrasound and see a follicle over 10mm!

Thank you ladies for your support and kind words @Mando15 and @roxgibbons . I will not be able to have iui in the next cycle . I am trying to schedule my hsg test first. Good luck with you IUI s !!! I hope to hear your good news soon.

Hey ladies,

Do any of you temp during medicated cycles? This is my first medicated cycle and I was curious to see what my temps would do. It's now five days post Ovidrel trigger shot and my temp is still low. Im worried that this means the shot didn't work and that I didn't ovulate. I know meds can mess with things but I really think my temps would be up by now if I really did O. I'm going to be so bummed if I went through all of this and didn't even O!!!

@ZoeFer if this cycle is not successful I am also taking the next cycle off for HSG and saline ultrasound to examine the spot the nurse found on my follie scan. If there is something there may have to have it removed. Just wondering if your dr is putting you on birth control pills for the month you are testing. My nurse wants me to go on bc for the month to do all the testing etc. since the window is just a few days prior to ovulation but I have to say I don't feel right about going on bc. I get that they are trying to buy some time for testing and it would only be for 30 days but I just feel like it could throw everything off for the next time. Anyway hope you are feeling better today.

Have any other ladies experienced going on bc for a month during your fertility treatments to do testing or other reasons?

@roxgibbons they want me to have the hsg test but they didnot mention any other tests or taking BC. I know that you are not supposed to have unprotected intercourse between your AF and HSG but no one mentioned anything else. Actually my doctor told me that i can take letrozole and do opk+TI if i want to but i think i will take a break from medication and opk etc for a month. I will ask my doctor about BC and if there is any other tests we can do. Thank you and I hope this is your month !!!

I have a question!! This is cycle 2 and I'm on cd9. I took Femara cd3-7 and this time Gonal-F injections were added to the regimen cd8-9. And tomorrow i go for my cd10 ultrasound. Who has had luck with this sort of cycle and are there any side effects with the Gonal-F that you experienced

Update- tomorrow is CD14 for me.  I return to the RE for another ultrasound and blood test.  I hoping to be able to be able to trigger and do the IUI by Wednesday, as DH will be leaving to return to work (out of state) on Wed. night.

Took a hpt this morning. Bfn. I'm so bummed and just trying to make it through work without breaking down. Had my beta this morning so waiting for official word. Then trying to talk to dr about next steps. I'd like to try a mini ivf next but we will see

So sorry @rachlee2010. I've been there as well. It's great that you have a mini Ivf as an option.
I went in for my follie check today after taking letrazole and it looks like I'm ovulating now. Still waiting for blood results. Had sex on Saturday and he said to do it again today. I hope DH doesn't feel the pressure and we can actually have sex tonight. Will see. If so, then there's a chance this could work. Obviously no iui now this month. And my hysteroscopy got cancelled for today.

@Drove2u It is great that you are responding well to the medication. Sorry I could not follow, why did you have to cancel the IUI ? I hope old good way of babymaking would work best for you

@rachlee2010 I'm so sorry for your BFN. I know how you feel. I remember getting my BFN news last cycle while at work and I thought I was going to lose it at work. I hope next cycle you get your BFP

@ZoeFer well iui is cancelled since I'm ovulating today. I just went in for my follie check this morning and I'm already ovulating. So no trigger shot needed and it's too late for an iui now. So just hoping that sex will do the trick. Ha!!

So sorry for the BFN @rachlee2010. Best wishes for a BD tonight @Drove2u. My appt went well today. I have three follicles, and I will trigger tonight. IUI is scheduled for Wed am.

@Drove2u I know how you feel with ovulation coming early and no IUI, it does totally suck! Have faith in BD tonight though, it still can definiately happen!!

Yeah I'm not too bummed. I'm glad we BD Saturday and still maybe have a chance tonight. If we don't tonight I probably won't even consider myself in the 2ww.

Went to dr today and they said come back Wednesday and are hoping for a Black Friday iui. Hope this round works with follistim pen. Hope they don't say to come on thanksgiving.

I'm currently 4dpo and my face is exploding with acne. This is my first IUI. Has anyone else experienced this? Wondering if it's a side effect of the Ovidrel or something...

@kh87 I am 4 days past IUI and I'm breaking out as well and I am so bloated. I'm thinking it's from the shot too.

@roxgibbons same! I went to put on jeans today and they weren't gonna close comfortably. I said screw it and put on sweats. I usually get a couple breakouts around ovulation but this is ridiculous. I hope it's not a sign of things to come if I do get pregnant, although I wouldn't complain!

Omg you guys!! So we're supposed to Bd tonight. This is last chance for this cycle. My DH comes back from work earlier than is expected and he was let go. So he does not feel like having sex right now. I can't believe this. What awful timing. He knows we are supposed to do this so there is still time but i don't know if we will now.

@Drove2u I'm so sorry! I know how frustrating that is when DH is not in the mood but the deed needs to be done! Maybe it will still happen!

@vssbrm I never took the shot. It was just natural ovulation.

My iui was also 4 days ago and OMG talk about bloated ... I was trying on clothes today and was like ew! I hate everything on me right now. Also my breasts are KILLING me I can't even hug my husband . Do your breasts hurt and are they swollen? @kh87

My DH does not understand the female reproductive system like most men. I would have a serious talk with him and explain to him how you are feeling. This journey is hard for both of you. good luck @Drove2u

@Drove2u I am so sorry about DH, that has to be really tough for both of you. DH and I had an argument as well last Friday due to the pressure he felt to BD since we had TI that night. The best advice I could give is to be patient with DH and really listen to what he is saying. At the end of the day your marriage is most important and sometimes infertility can cloud that.

@erica0901 I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who gets into arguments with their DH about BD. I had to go to bed angry that night. I learned that my DH can not handle the pressure of me saying we need to BD now.
