Day 5- So thankful for my siblings especially my sisters. The 6 of us may bicker and disagree often but at the end of the day we are all there for one another and have the best time together.
Day 5: I'm thankful for my job. I complain (most) days about how I don't want to get up, don't want to "adult", don't want to DO anything, but I know that I am very blessed to have a job that I usually enjoy. And while it may not be super financially grossing, it covers all our needs, we are able to live comfortably, we can afford some of our wants, and we live well about the poverty level in our area. I'm grateful that through our jobs, DH and I can provide for our family. And while I'm at it, I'm grateful DH handles the finances because I am just no good with that...
Day 5: Today I am thankful for my work schedule... 9/80... love having every other Friday off without having to take vacation days... and without getting spoiled by 3 day weekends with a 4/10 schedule (plus 10 hour days are hard!).
Day 5: I'm grateful that the last few days have been so unseasonably warm. I fully expect to be cold and miserable from about October to April, so having a couple of 70-degree days in November has been really refreshing and so good for my mental state.

My dad was just telling me yesterday about how gorgeous the weather has been there on the homestead. For once y'all have better weather than I do - still rainy here.

What a bummer! If it makes you feel any better, we'll be back down in the 50s tomorrow, so hopefully the good weather juju will migrate back south for you.

I'm cool with the rain, as we get so little of it normally. I'm not cool with the dug trying to dig to China through the mud, though, so you win some and lose some. My winters are much easier than yours so I hope the good weather lasts for you for a while!
Day 6: I'm thankful that the table of eight children sitting next to me were surprisingly well mannered and didn't ruin our late dinner! (We made sure to complement the parents before we left too)
Day 6: I'm thankful my FIL flies in a week from tomorrow!!!!!! I love having my parents or ILs in town (both live 1200+ miles away) because having extra sets of hands is amazing. We don't see them often enough for them to make us crazy, and DD loves getting to see them. She is the only one on my side of the family, and the only one my ILs don't get to see on a regular basis on DH's side of the family, so she gets so much special attention. And FILs trip could not be planned at a more perfect time, when DH's soccer schedule and my work schedule have the worst busiest week ever. And DISNEY/SeaWorld for Thanksgiving with DH, DD, and FIL! SO excited!
Day 6: I'm thankful for the number of extra days I have off in November and doubly thankful the I don't have a job that requires working Thanksgiving or Black Friday. I feel so awful for the people working days like that (and Christmas) because I've totally been there and it sucked.
Day 6: I'm grateful for the ladies of the A16 BMC! It's so neat getting to know everyone, and I'm starting to feel pretty cozy with you all. Really glad to be sharing this pregnancy experience with all of you!
Day 6: I'm thankful for iTunes Radio. The lullabies station does the trick when I'm putting the 3 year old down for the night. He's my sunshine, but he hates bedtime! Short story: he got out of bed, took off his pajama pants, put on shorts socks and shoes, and brought his Paw Patrol books into the living room to play. Proud of his independence, but it's bedtime.
Day 7: I'm so glad that this time next week we will be sleeping in our own bed, in our new place! Mostly so I can sleep in the living room and not get side eyed in the mornings...
Day 7: I'm thankful for my dog. She's a huge PITA sometimes, like this morning when she pretended to want to cuddle but really only wanted to bounce on my belly. Having her around helps DH with some of his issues, because nurturing takes his mind off his own troubles. She's still a pup and it's not easy training a dog half my size, but she's so sweet-tempered and smart that I know she'll be a great companion for LO some day.
Day 7: I'm thankful that it's the weekend and I dont have to work so I get to spend two full days with DH. Also I'm thankful that we finally figured out what insurance plan we are going with for next year. Insurance always stresses me out.
@AmadorRose what a cute pup! Maybe we need a fur babies thread?? I'd probably start one, but my phone is dumb and doesn't like to do that...
Day 7: I'm thankful for my dog too!!! She's.an amazingly well behaved dog and so patient with DD...see photo evidence! My SIL bought DD two sets of Minnie Mouse ears, a personalized Minnie blanket, and Minnie sweatshirt for her first Disney trip in a few weeks, the attached picture shows what DD insists on doing with the Minnie ears...my dog has the patience of a saint!
Day 7: Thankful for my home. It may not seem like a lot but to live on over an acre in South Florida is a rarity and I couldn't be more thankful for it and the animals that come visit.
Day 7: Today I'm thankful for this little nugget. I adopted her towards the end of a really terrible relationship as a "saving the relationship" pup, and she has been my furry BFF ever since, through bad breakups, cross-country moves, and long stretches of singledom. She went from a shy little rescue who was terrified of everyone but me to the friendliest, stubbornest, most insistently affectionate doglet ever. My husband is the first man she ever liked, and although he thinks he's her favorite person, I'm pretty sure she's still a mama's girl!
Day 8: I'm thankful that I didn't actually make it into the Disney Wine and Dine half marathon sign ups, since it rained really bad and they cut the race in half! It went from a half marathon (13.1 miles) to a 10k (6 miles) I know one of the parks had tree limbs down, so I completely understand doing it for safety reasons, but my dad has been training since March... On the plus side he'll probably PR this time, and he still gets the medal!
@Goldsgirl9 I'm so jealous of your acre+ in SF! We are technically Treasure Coast, so a little more common here, but we have only .25 in the burbs...someday we'll have at least an acre and my three Labs, one of each color!
Day 8: I'm thankful for the recent shift in DDs sleep habits! She's been STTN since around 2 months old (with a few regressions at appropriate times) but for the past 6 months she ALWAYS cries when you put her to bed at night, sometimes only a minute, sometimes 30+! Also she consistently wakes between 6-6:30. She started sleeping until at least 7 the past several days, AND for the first time in 6 months, a single whimper when I put her in her crib was her only protest going to bed last night!!! I hate leaving her crying, but nothing works except to let her go...my heart felt so much better that she was crying "mama!" when I left her room last night
@imrachellea we never expected to end up on this much land. DH kept saying "I want to come home and feel like my house is a destination". I was like, WTF does that mean? When I saw this house I finally understood. For a guy that works in Downtown and has a brutal commute daily I finally got it.
God had the perfect home for us and it came with 4 oak trees, two butterfly gardens, hummingbirds, blue jays, cardinals, woodpeckers, geese, chickens, squirrels and so much more. We really love it here. On a side note, I wanted a goat but my 8 month old, 97lb Catahoula puppy won't allow it.
Day 8: I'm thankful for this LO, and I'm pretty sure I felt him/her kick twice last night! I had to wake DH and he tried to feel, until I reminded him how early it is. He just smiled and rubbed the belly a couple more times before he fell back asleep. :x
Day 8: I'm definitely thankful for a healthy baby/pregnancy so far! I'm so happy to finally see my bump, which actually looks like a bump! Even when I'm naked. I'm pretty proud of it
Day 9: I'm thankful for air conditioning! Unfortunately, here in south Florida, November is turning out to be hotter than October! :-S #:-S I walked into the front office this morning at work and it was warmer INside than OUT! Apparently the a/c is out! I wanted to cry...I get to my classroom (which is its own separate building from the rest of campus) and its cool and breezy in my room. INCREDIBLY thankful for that, given that it was already over 80 degrees at 7:45 this morning...
@Goldsgirl9 We are taking DD to Disney with my FIL over Thanksgiving (her first trip, I'm SO excited!!) and I wanted to cry when I saw that the weather in Orlando is NO better! And here on the coast we have the benefit of the ocean breeze! I work about 3 blocks from the intracoastal. I have this super comfy loose fitting maternity sweatshirt I bought and a cute long sleeve Christmas maternity tee that I'm really hoping to actually get to wear in Disney...we shall see!
Day 9: I'm thankful for having such a wonderful internship teacher! She's very helpful and even suggested some options to where I can finish my internship before baby boy gets here! She said "you're not gonna wanna come back here after you have the baby!! You're not gonna wanna leave him." Very true!

Attaching photos because she's adorable.
