Madeline Ruth was born on October 27th weighing 8lbs 15oz, and measuring 21" long! This precious little girl took 43 hours to get out but she is here now and we couldn't be happier! We are all happy and healthy! Good luck to the rest of you!
So my LO was due October 14. We had a doctor's appointment that day that showed absolutely no progress so an induction was scheduled for the following week at 41 weeks. Showed up at the hospital at 7:30pm on October 21 to be induced. It was an incredibly long 24 hours (almost!) But.....
She's here!!!!! Bridget Rosalie was born screaming at 5:55pm on October 22 at 6.1lbs and 18.75in. She already has daddy wrapped around her finger and we are loving every minute with her!
Our little one, Kaplan Scott was born 10/27 at 2:27 pm. He was 7 lbs exactly and exactly 20 inches! He was also the 7th c section of the day! We love all the cool numbers with his b-day!
He was due 10/31. We love him with all our hearts. He's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!
Finally!!!! Name: Charlotte Quinn Clayton Weight: 7 lbs, .04 oz Length: 19 3/4 EDD: 10/20 Birthday: 10/29
What a long and epic journey it's been so far and it's all just beginning! I was scheduled to be induced 10/28 at 7:30 pm, However woke up at 2:30 am and lost my mucus plug- about 10 mins later I began having very regular and consistent contractions every 5 mins for about 30-40 secs each. Our hospital is an hr and half away so they told us to be on our way. We got settled into room around 9am, but because of high volume and several emergency situations with other guests we were not 'helped' until 430 pm when we started my first round of cytotec (nothing changed in the four hrs- started at a 1, stayed at a 1) then we started 2nd round at 830 pm-- these contractions came on very hard and very very close together ( cluster contractions that actually had my body in the shakes), at the end of that I was still at a 1, but at least my cervix was now soft. At 12:30 we started pitocin- which let me just say is *the*worst*. The pitocin had my entire body in severe shakes the entire time and the contractions were absolutely unbearable- checked about 4 hours into that and I was only at a 3. At This time I knew I had to surrender to the epodiral- wow were things looking up! The downside was that my blood pressure dropped dramatically, and now my shakes were absolutely uncontrollable and seizing my whole body up- so I'm sitting here with an oxygen mask with my whole body shaking (think EXTREME shakes), and blood pressure dropping - like 5 nurses in room and I'm absolutely convinced I'm going to die. Nurse decided to check me around 7 and BOOM! Out of nowhere I am 9 3/4 dilated- the baby is coming- nurse tells me she's going to talk to doctor about breaking my water- and RIGHT as she says it, *Snap* my water breaks!! Doctor comes in at 7:15, and my baby Charlotte Quinn is born-- face up too!!!

EDD: Oct30
Birthday: Oct 29
Weight: 8lb 3 oz, 21 3-4" long
I was set for induction on Oct 28 as my blood pressure had creeped up and my doctor wanted it taken care off sooner than later. I went in at 730 am and had prostin gel inserted. Cervix was starting to soften but I still hadn't dilated at all. Went back at 2 for the cervidil to be placed and went home again. By 430 I was starting to get really crampy and by 11 I was having a really hard time. The cramps never went away and the contractions hit me hard lasting close to a min and being anywhere from 2.5-4 mins from the start of one to the start of the next. I spent the night in the shower and pacing my house and at 4 I finally woke up my husband and told him it was time to go. We got back to the hospital and just as I layed down for them to hook me up to the monitors my water broke. Dr came in and checked me again, said baby was still high at a -3 and I had only dilated a finger tip. I had a few nurses come in and check me over the next hour and one told me she thought everyone was wrong and that baby was breech. I had seen a few Drs and several nurses and for the last 20 weeks I have been told baby is heads down and ready so when she mentioned baby being breech I basically laughed her off. My Dr came back around 9am to check and I still hadn't made any progress although my contractions were only about 2 mins apart you then. He decided to do a bedside ultrasound and to everyone's surprise baby was breech. His round little butt was sitting on top of my cervix and that's what had been confusing everyone. We opted then (with a few tears and a lot of fear) that a c section was the best route and within the hour I was getting wheeled out for surgery. Everything went fantastic, I have been up walking around and have very little pain. Turner is a champ and we are doing great with breast feeding. We should be able to head home tomorrow morning. He is the most perfect, handsome little boy I could have ever asked for!
Married:09/27/14
Baby N-Born:10/29/15 Our Angel: EDD: 05/11/17. MC at 6 weeks Baby #2- EDD: 07/18/17
Ended up being induced due to high bp but it went extremely quick considering it was an induction for a FTM! Such a surprise to find out it was a boy after 9 months of team green!
Oliver Lee was born 10/22 at 5:32pm via c-section. Weighing 8lb 5oz and 20.5 inches long. I went in to be induced on 10/21. Went through 2 rounds of Cytotec with no progression then started on pitocin. Maxed out on the pitocin after another 9 hours and had only dilated to a 1. It was decided then that I would have a c section. It was not the birth that I wanted but my son is here and is healthy and beautiful!
Libby Ann 21 September, @38w2d 5lb12oz 18in Went in for 38w appt, they wanted to monitor my blood pressure because it was high. They decided to induce, and honored my wish to avoid pitocin. We started the foley ball at 5pm, broke my water at 9:40pm and 5 cm, she was born at 10:10pm. My perfect little pea (:
Beau William Born: 10/19 EDD: 10/23 9lbs 13oz 22" Our third and biggest boy! Went in late Sunday evening for an induction and got hooked up to the monitors. As soon as the nurse started doing my intake contractions started on their own! My water also ended up breaking on its own a few hours later. Went from 5cm to fully dilated in the matter of a half hour. Had an epidural but the pressure to push was the most intense thing I've ever felt! He was huge just like my measurements and ultrasounds were saying! So in love with this sweet baby boy! The journey has been amazing and it was so fun doing it with all of you! Thanks for all the support!
Sawyer Lane EDD: 10/28 DOB: 10/30 9lbs8oz, 21 inches
I opted to be induced a couple days after my due date so I could get some family here to watch my older kids. Went in Thursday night for cervidil and started pitocin at 8:30 am Friday. They broke my water around 10 am and I opted for an epidural at about 11:30. I was in labor for about 6.5 hours and only pushed for 10 minutes before our not so little man was born. He is absolutely perfect and so chunky! We love him with all our hearts!
I had no braxton hicks contractions or progress of any kind. But I work up about 5am on 10/28 feeling crampy and wasn't sure if it was true labor or not. I emptied my bladder and had some bloody show discharge. I took a bath and drank a lot of water to see if the contractions stopped. They continued but were very inconsistent. I labored at home for several hours then my doula came over about 2pm. She helped me to progress labor to a more consistent pattern naturally. We decided to go to the hospital about 6:30 pm when my contractions were 4 minutes apart. When I got to the hospital I was checked and dilated to 7 cm. I continued laboring until I began pushing at 10 pm and he was here at 11:15 pm.
I am so thankful for the support of my doula who helped me to achieve the med-free birth I was desiring. With an understanding that no matter what is planned for, it cannot always happen that way and I am blessed that I was able to without complications.
Evelyn Anne EDD: Sep 28 DOB: Oct 9 9 lbs, 9 oz, 20.5 inches
I was scheduled to be induced starting the evening of the 6th when I was 41+1. Started completely closed and not effaced at all. I was given two rounds of cytotec, one round of cervidil, and several rounds of pitocin. 57 hours later, our darling daughter finally arrived on the morning of the 9th. I ended up with a second degree tear, as she was a big baby, but was really happy to have a vaginal birth.
We were team green and are thrilled to now be team pink!
Weston James was born October 28th at 1:57pm. One day after his EDD. Weighing 7lbs 14oz and measuring 20in long. We were induced the night before using the foley bulb, which got us a good 3cm, and started pitocin the next morning. Broke water at 8am, and with 14 minutes of pushing little man was here. We are so in love, & thanking the Lord for this blessing!
Caleb John Born 10/26 @ 12:43 9 lbs 15.3 oz 20 inches long
Caleb was born via scheduled c section due to being breech. He is a big boy and if he hadn't have pooped all over the doctor when he was being pulled out by his butt they were saying he would've been 10+ lbs. Delivery went well no complications and I felt much better after than I anticipated. Breastfeeding has been struggle. We had to supplement because my milk hadn't come in and my big guy wasn't getting enough to eat. Night 2 in the hospital he fed for 1 hr 45 min straight. It was rough to say the least. The day we went home he not only got circumsized but when we were doing our last feeding with the lactation consult I was moving him and his cord got pulled out. They have the security tag on it too and I think it got snagged on my belly binder. It immediately started gushing blood. The consultant grabbed him started putting pressure on it and rushed him to the nursery. They got the bleeding stopped finally and he will be fine. I was a mess to say the least. I have never felt so guilty in my life. We are home now and trying to adjust. My milk came in finally and that is making feedings better but still a challenge. I never knew love until I met Caleb.
At 38w6d, I was 1 cm, 25%, -3. Starting 39w5d, I had been having off and on quasi - painful contractions all day, so like any normal person I went to Cici's (pizza buffet) for a late lunch. Around 8 that night I realized they were really starting to hurt and so I started timing. By 9:45, they were 3-5 min apart so the OB told us to head to the hospital. Got there and I was still 1 cm, I was really shocked. They admitted me and monitored the contractions, primarily bc I'm a VBAC. By 6 AM there was no change in my cervix so they sent me home with some pain meds, still contracting. At home I off and on slept for 2 hours, then headed out to my 11 AM OB visit. I was 4 cm by then, so she told me I could be admitted or go home to labor some more. I initially wanted to go home bc I hated constant monitoring, but as we left I had DH turn around. It was 1:30 and I was exhausted and the contractions were getting really bad. Emotionally I wasn't keeping it together very well either. Not anticipating being in labor for so long, I had originally planned med-free, but that plan went out the window as sleep deprivation crept up on me. We got a little bite to eat and checked in, epidural was in by 3, where I was still a 4, and they broke my waters. Still no change by 5:30, so we started a slow pit drip. I rested but could not sleep at all. By 7:40 I was fully dilated, but she was still high. We waited another couple of hours for her to drop a bit and she did. After 20 min of pushing she was born at 10:47 PM. Did immediate skin-to-skin while they stitched me up (3rd degree tear, boooooo), which was amazing. I felt cheated out of that with my previous c-section, and it made the whole 27 hour experience worth it. Breastfeeding is going well and I'm slowly recovering. Even though things didn't go as planned, they did go smoothly. I never felt pressured to get the medical interventions, and for me they worked well. Love my munchkin to pieces!
Bryson James Born Oct 28 1:46am EDD Oct 27 After a regular visit Monday at noon - told cervix was still completely closed, we were sent for our weekly non stress test. Dr wasn't happy with drops in heart rate - nurse said possibly baby was playing with cord. We were asked to return at 5:00 to repeat test. Dr saw improvement in test but said there was no need to wait for my eventual induction - we would do it now just in case. We waited until 10:45 pm to start Cervadil tape due to hospital policy on how many inductions can take place at the same time. 1 hour of fetal heart rate monitoring every three hours meant A very long night. They moved a recliner chair into the room for my husband. 10:45 October 27 Cervadil removed 12:00 Prostoglandin Gel placed, fetal monitor for 1 hour 2:30 finally off monitor - heart rate irregularities 5:20 2-3 cm dilated 7:00 Dr broke water - omg 45 long minutes on FHR monitor as my contractions quickly grew to full intensity lasting one minute each and coming every 2-3 minutes 8:00 finally moved into my private L&D suite where I went right into the tub Contractions were to strong to remain, and had my epidural at 9:00 The nurse cautioned if I had my epidural right away i would be stuck in bed and I would likely be an hour to dilate each cm remaining (7) I chose to take that chance- the frequency was way too intense I was able to take a nap by 10:30- the nurse woke me to check dilation at 12:00 midnight - I was fully dilated! Pushing took a little over an hour, episiotomy, stitches Placenta was removed manually as my body stopped contracting - Brutal labour. Result amazing. I have the most perfect little boy I've ever seen!
I went into the hospital on the night of the 29th for an induction due to gestational hypertension. I was not dilated when I was admitted so they gave me a pill to soften my cirvix. After having 2 of these pill placed by my cirvix my water broke naturally and so I didn't need any pitocin. I was having regular contractions and due to the pain I ended up getting an epidural. After the epidural, my cirvix was dilated to 7. It was very exciting. So after a couple more hours I was completely dilated and ready to push. I started pushing at 12 AM on Saturday. I pushed off and on for 3 hours and she was crowning, but I was unable to push her out. She was posterior and could not get under my pelvic bone. Due to all this pushing and her being stuck my OB decided that we would need to do a c-section. I felt no pain but I did feel all the pushing and tugging. They had to push Natalie back up my birth canal so that they can take her out through the incision. Natalie was born at 3:47 on her due date and other than a fever (they were worried that there was an infection) she was healthy and perfect. Now all we are waiting for is an all-clear from the pediatrician (so far no infection on the cultures of Natalie's blood) and both I and my baby girl can go home. This has been the best Halloween I have had thus far.
Formerly Team Green and very excited to announce the birth of our beautiful baby girl!
October 21, 2015 4:20 pm EDD: 10/14/15 Gaia Marcella 9 lbs 4.5 oz. 20 inches long
I was already late and scheduled for induction on 10/22. Thankfully I began to feel labor pains beginning around 5 am on the 20th and was able to hold off at home until around 1:30 pm, when it became unbearable, although the contractions never became super regular. Got to the hospital and was happy to learn that I was already 5 cm! Nurses estimated that I could have the baby in 2-3 hours. Great, right?! Several hours later we learned that the baby flipped to sunny side up during labor. My contractions stalled. They also came to the conclusion that my baby was much larger than anticipated. We tried everything possible to get the baby to flip -- peanut balls, sleeping on all fours, bed positioning, 3 attempts at the doctors turning her, nothing. Finally with the help of pitocin I was able to get to 10 cm late morning of the 21st. Because baby was doing well, doctors agreed to let me push. I pushed for 4.5 hours and was only able to get her down a few centimeters. I wanted someone (a doctor) to tell me what to do, but they kept saying it was "my decision." I was terrified of a c-section. My pregnancy was so smooth and I expected a smooth delivery, it was never on my radar. Finally a very sweet male OB came in and said, this is what we're going to do -- push through 3 contractions and see how far down the baby gets. If she comes down 2-3 cm, we'll try forceps. If not, we'll do the c-section. So that's what we did...and she came down 1cm. I was exhausted at that point, had my epidural topped off 4 times, had everyone and their mother's hands in my cervix, and finally gave in to the c-section after almost 36 hours. Our plan for my fiancée to announce the gender went out the window because when she was delivered she was not "stunned" (we did not know this until later) and was whisked away to another room. Five minutes later she was fine, but one of the nurses told me she was a girl while fiancée was cutting the cord. I was shocked, we totally expected a boy! Those were easily the hardest hours of my life, but the reward at the end was worth it -- my beautiful (big!) baby girl, Gaia Marcella.
At 40+3 Reagan Elizabeth came into this world on 10/22 after 31 hours of labor. She weighed 8lb 11.4 oz and was 21 inches long. We are both home and doing well! Team green to team pink!
I'm a little late posting but our little Warren Bradley made his arrival on 10/18 at 6:48am. I was scheduled for an induction on 10/19 but our sweet boy had other plans. On Saturday, 10/17 while at a baby shower being hosted by my husband's stepmother, I started having contractions. At first they were very sporadic so I didn't tell anyone that I was having them. When hubby arrived to pick me up and load the car, I told him what was going on and at that point they were between 7 and 12 minutes apart. We decided to keep timing them to make sure that it was actual labor before going to the hospital. We stopped by his parents house and then headed home to unload the car. By this point they were pretty consistent at about 6 minutes apart. We decided to stop by BRU to exchange a few items and whIle we were there they increased in intensity and we're 4 to 5 minutes apart. We decided at that point to go on to the hospital to get checked. When we got there, they took me to a labor hall room and hot me hooked up to the monitors and checked me. I was 100 percent effaced but wasn't dilated at all. I was so afraid that they were going to send me home but since my contractions were coming so often they decided to keep me. I'm glad they did because we soon found out that the reason I wasn't dilating was because of scar tissue from a leep procedure. They decided to go ahead and give me an epidural so that they could manually dilate my cervix. Once they did this, I progressed steadily and less than 12 hours later delivered my beautiful baby boy. His daddy and I are so in love and he couldn't be more perfect
Kade Matthew DD: October 25 Arrived: November 3 at 3:55pm 8lbs 12oz and 21 3/4" long with 14 1/2 head Was scheduled to be induced on 11/5
Sorry if this is really long but it's been a crazy couple of days:
On Sunday I started having contractions at about 5pm. They became regular and I had them timed at every 5 minutes by midnight. We got to the hospital at 12:30am and I was at 3cm but the contractions really slowed down. I didn't make any progress so I was sent home. By the time we got home and I slept for a bit the contractions started up again and were every ten minutes. That lasted all day Monday and Monday evening. At some points they would get to every 5-7 minutes and lasted about 1:30 each time. I had a huge bloody show at 6pm.
By Tuesday morning I hadn't slept or eaten in a while and was feeling pretty awful. At 8am I had another bloody show and was on the phone with the doctors at 8:30. They got me scheduled to see a nurse practitioner at 10:30. I spent some time in the showe until hubby made it home from running an errand and we went to my appointment. The nurse practitioner checked me and my cervix was at 8cm. She sent us directly to labor and delivery and I checked in there at 11:30 when I was at 9cm.
My doctor came in and they decided he wasn't positioned right. We tried some rolling back and forth, hands and knees, and a lot of back pressure from hubby's hands. By 3:15 I felt like I needed to push. That was the worst part. Once he started crowing I got really tired. By 3:55 he was born. The nurses and medical students and hospital staff were all amazed that a first time mom had such a big baby after laboring so much at home and having no pain medication or epidural at all. I do have a nasty third degree tear which is a little uncomfortable.
Mr. Kade is doing wonderful so far. He did swallow and breath in a lot of miconium that the NICU team took a long while to suction out. After that point he started to breath normally and had more normal body coloring. We have been successful at a few breast feeding attempts and he sleeps great with a full belly. His bilirubin leaves, blood sugar, and vitals have all been perfect which they are pleased with for how big he is. Daddy and I are doing good so far with figuring everything out and I'm so thrilled he was here with me.
Thank you to everyone for the support the last 41+ weeks and good luck to everyone that hasn't delivered yet!
Lilly Anne 9lbs 12ounces, 22 inches long EDD- 10/29 Born- 11/4
At 40w6d, my water broke at 9am this morning. I started having strong contractions about an hour after being checked at my OBs office, where I was still 1cm dilated. We got to the hospital around 11:30am and I was soon 5cm. I asked for an epi and when they told me I was 8cm, I said I'd wait it out a bit to see if I would dilate more. I was complete in about 30 min, they said no time for epi, and I pushed her out! 30 min of pushing and screaming.
I have never planned on a drug-free birth and never taken classes. It was a complete surprise. I'm happy I made it through but wow. I have to hand it to the women who labor for hour and hours without pain meds. My short labor was welcomed.
We are both doing great. I had a 2nd degree tear, but I had it with DS, too. Not terrible. Baby is nursing like crazy. So in love!!
Jarvis Bailey. Delivered at 5:07 on 11/4 via c section. 8 lbs 5 oz with a perfect set of lungs! I should be sleeping but I can't seem to take my eyes off of him!
Everett James EDD: 10/27 Arrived: 11/5 @ 12:08 am 8lbs 2 oz, 20 in
Made it through 22.5 hours of natural birth and I am absolutely amazed that I can say that. Midwife stripped my membranes Tuesday morning, water broke in my sleep at 2:30am Wednesday. It was a long haul but he made it and we are soooooo in love.
Team Green officially became Team Pink yesterday :-)
Celeste Athena EDD 10/30 Born 11/5 at 12:17am (40w6d)
Went to my appointment at 130pm with the intent of discussing possible induction at 41 weeks. After a uneventful pregnancy my blood pressure was high and I had protein in my urine so off to the hospital I went. Started pitocin at 730pm, water broke at 930 and started pushing at 1145pm. The doctor barely made it into the room for the final push lol.
Into the week of my EDD I had barely any contractions . The doctor scheduled my induction on November 2nd at 8 am but that morning at 2:26 am my water broke . Got to the hospital , wasnt having any really strong contractions and was only 1 cm dilated , started small doses of pitocin to get the ball rolling and by 12 pm was still only 3 cm . by then i couldnt take any more pain and opted for the epidural . they increased the pitocin and by 1 pm i was 10 cm , 100 % and the baby was on her way out . took about 3 pushes and 16 minutes later , DD was born . i cried like a baby . had about a second degree tear to the left side of the labia but it all was worth it . She's perfect . daddy and i both did skin to skin and the nurses were in love . wouldnt trade her or this experience for the world .
Introducing Mathew Murray, our sweet "little" boy weighing in at 9lbs,5oz. Due date: Oct. 31, Arrival: Nov.7. On Friday evening around 9pm I felt my water break... Upon inspection it had meconium in it which meant induction. We started oxytocin at midnight and attempted about 19 hours of labour with limited progression. It was brutal and I opted for epidural due to pain and lack of sleep around 5pm. I had a feeling we would be in for a c section and signed the form approving it just before 7pm. It was the right thing to do. Surgery went great however had a hemmoragh scare later in the night... Lost a lot of blood, luckily iron levels were high and no transfusion. Baby Matty is perfect and I am really well considering. It was worth every bit of pain and chaos! Can't wait to take the little guy home
So excited to finally announce the birth of our daughter. It's taken awhile but these past two weeks have been the most rewarding, natural, challenging, and beautiful I have ever experienced in life. Sienna Llywelyn Boyd Hawkins arrived Saturday October 24th, at 9:24 a.m. Weighing 6 lbs. 10 oz. and 19 in. long. Born at exactly 39 weeks. Her e.d.d. was October 31. That Friday was the very first day I went on maternity leave, I cleaned and paced all day long with no pain or any signs. That night my husband and I had intercourse and he joked that he was going to send me into labor. (Tmi I know but...IT WORKED) He fell asleep and just as I was adjusting my pillows and getting ready to doze off I heard a pop at 1:30 a.m. I got up and went to the restroom, I had bloody show and lost my mucus plug. I started to panic a little because there was a noticeable green tinge to the fluid and mucus. So i woke up my hubby exclaiming that I think my water had broken. So he got up and started to pack my bag and get the dogs taken care of. My contractions were light in my opinion but they were coming close together. I was still in denial until I was putting my pants on and a giant gush of fluid came down. So we were off to the hospital and got there around 2:30. They checked to see if I was for sure leaking amniotic fluid, the NP went to check my cervix and said she didn't need to see the test, that she was going to push the baby back up and I was at 4cm. She also informed me the baby had already had a bowel movement and passed meconium in utero. I was terrified. They admitted me immediately and by 8:55 I was pushing and she arrived at 9:24. I was able to succeed in my plans for a natural birth with no medication, no tears or stitches. My doula ended up being way late and showing up when I was at 9 cm. Therefore my husband did the MOST AMAZING job ever of keeping everything together and being my number 1 support. I hate to say it but my angel made it sooo easy, even when we were terrified.
Luke Due date: 10/31 Born 11/8. Finally he has arrived. Fast and safe, as we suspected he would.un-medicated vaginal delivery and totally worth the wait.
Meet Camilla Blake! Born November 3rd at 3:31am Due October 20th Weighed 8lbs3oz and 21 inches long
I was induced due to going two weeks after my due date. Went in on Sunday night for a round of Cervadil, was dilated to a 2cm upon arrival. Next morning had not progressed at all. Started on pitocin at 7am and received an epidural at 11am due to high blood pressure (was having insane contractions one on top of another). Epi slowed things back down and did not dilate to a 10 until close to midnight. Started pushing at midnight and was having a hard time getting her head past my pubic bone. My dr told me 3 times to mentally prepare for a c section bc it didn't look like I was going to be able to push her past. But after 4 HOURS of determined pushing out she came!!
By far the hardest but most rewarding thing I've ever done in my life. So in love with baby girl and happy to be a mommy!!!

We love her so so so much!!!

Went in for 38w appt, they wanted to monitor my blood pressure because it was high. They decided to induce, and honored my wish to avoid pitocin. We started the foley ball at 5pm, broke my water at 9:40pm and 5 cm, she was born at 10:10pm. My perfect little pea (:

Our third and biggest boy!

I am so thankful for the support of my doula who helped me to achieve the med-free birth I was desiring. With an understanding that no matter what is planned for, it cannot always happen that way and I am blessed that I was able to without complications.

After a regular visit Monday at noon - told cervix was still completely closed, we were sent for our weekly non stress test.
10:45 October 27 Cervadil removed
12:00 Prostoglandin Gel placed, fetal monitor for 1 hour
2:30 finally off monitor - heart rate irregularities
5:20 2-3 cm dilated
7:00 Dr broke water - omg
45 long minutes on FHR monitor as my contractions quickly grew to full intensity lasting one minute each and coming every 2-3 minutes
8:00 finally moved into my private L&D suite where I went right into the tub
Contractions were to strong to remain, and had my epidural at 9:00
The nurse cautioned if I had my epidural right away i would be stuck in bed and I would likely be an hour to dilate each cm remaining (7) I chose to take that chance- the frequency was way too intense
I was able to take a nap by 10:30- the nurse woke me to check dilation at 12:00 midnight - I was fully dilated!
Pushing took a little over an hour, episiotomy, stitches
Placenta was removed manually as my body stopped contracting -
Brutal labour. Result amazing. I have the most perfect little boy I've ever seen!

Birth Story or link to Birth Story:

Congrats everyone :-)
After 24 hours of labor, he was a vb (with epidural) with some vacuum help as he was also sunny-side up and not moving down the chute.
I was induced because of high blood pressure with fear of developing preeclampsia. The fact that he was born ON his due date was a lucky coincidence.
He's an amazingly calm child who just loves to sleep and eat.

Finally he has arrived. Fast and safe, as we suspected he would.un-medicated vaginal delivery and totally worth the wait.
