Matteo Mendez born October 14th, at 6:01 am. Weighing 7lbs 9oz. SO blessed to have baby boy with us, went 5 days over due, but was in labor for 10 hours and only 18 minutes of pushing and he was out! No complications whatsoever, and he is breastfeeding like a champ! (:
Brekken Michael made his early arrival 10/19 at 10:35 am! My original DD was 10/29, but my water broke at 4:00am and we got to the hospital by 5:30. I was checked and was 4 cm, and tested twice for presence of amniotic fluid and then moved to the labor room by 6. Had decided on an all natural birth and we were succefull! Went from the 4cm to 6cm quickly and was told it prolly be 2 to 3 hours before I made it to 10, but 20 mins later I was pushing him out! Will say it's the worst roller coaster of pain you'll ever have but you can do it! Good luck to all the rest of the mommas out there!
Colton Christopher born 10/19 at 1:00 pm. I was induced Sunday night and had a rough labor as his heart rate kept dropping but finally he made his arrival! 6lbs 14 oz
June Avery made her appearance on October 19 th (EDD October 16). I went in to be induced at 7 am. My water broke on its own around 3:30 and the contractions picked up. Unfortunately, my baby was to big for me to deliver (8 lbs 5 oz and 23 1/2 inches long) and I was put under general anesthesia and had a c-section. She is worth all 16 hours of contractions and the painful c-section.
Maddox James! 6 lbs 5 oz, 19" long, born 10/19 at 11:28 pm. Went in for induction at 7 am. Started cytotec at 8, by 1 pm started pitocin. Broke my water around 5 pm and really started having some strong contractions. Received epidural around 8 pm and was dilated to about 7 cm around 10:30 only to find baby was trying to make his way but wasn't going to fit so was stressing him so they proceeded with a c section. I threw up on myself 3 times on the table and twice more after. A very long trying day but my end result was my perfect little guy!
F.E. Was born 10/20 at 1:42pm via elective c-section. Is have no idea what to expect recovery-wise since I have only had two vaginal deliveries. Both dd's heads were off the charts and did quite a number on my pelvic floor and I also have a condition that made my request for a CS reasonable. He was due the 22nd.
EDD 10/20 DD 10/20 Nico Sanford Barrios Gomez was born October 20th at 6:59pm weighing in at 8 pounds 4 oz and 21.75 inches. After 28 hours of labor I stalled at 8 cm had to get a c section. Could feel it on the right so they knocked me out was very traumatic for my hubby cause I was having complications and baby was in distress a little. But all is well now and he was worth all the pain.
My due date was the 22nd Octoberz I was in slow labour from the 10th October till the 12th October my contractions were every 5 minutes due to this being my first baby they would not induce me. My waters broke on the 12th October at 6.00am contractions came stronger but continued to come every 5 minutes until 10.30am active labour came & my baby girl arrived at 14.06 weighing 6lb 13oz. Most perfect little princess...... Forgot to add natural birth! Gas & air only:) First baby!
Ryan Shiva Maraj joined us on Monday 10/12 @2:17pm via csection. 8lbs 12oz / 21.5 inches. I had a scheduled csection for the 17th due to him being breech. But I woke up Monday morning with contractions 8mins apart, and went into the hospital by 9am. My doc then said he'd be there by 2pm. By 1pm it became an emergency csection because when the other doc checked, I was 6cm dialated 100% effaced.. And POP my water broke as she was checking and I automatically was 10cm and she felt his foot. I had to have general anesthesia because I wasn't able to sit up to get a spinal or anything, my SO was taken out of the room, and by 2:17 our little man was here. It was scary but all worth it. I wouldn't change a thing.
Haylee Nicole was born Oct 6th at 3:04 pm. It was quite the traumatic birth as I went into labor after ending up with a partial placental abruption. It was a terrifying and incredibly painful but I was able to avoid a c-section and she was born healthy and beautiful. I feel very lucky that we both made it through alive and unharmed. I am so in love and I feel like this (being a mother) was what I was born to do.
Fiona was born monday weighing 8.7 lbs, 21 inches. I was induced at 7 am monday morning, started pushing at 5pm and due to her head turning sideways I was unable me to push her out! Doctor used a vacuum for assistance. We are so Thankful we didn't have to have a c-section!
We welcomed Bianca Elizabeth - our fourth baby and second DD - into the world at 5:04 am on 10/21
EDD 10/19
I was fingertip dilated and my cervix was thick at my 40 week check up on Monday. My doctor scheduled an induction for next week (10/26 - when I would reach 41 weeks), starting with an evening of Cervadil, followed by Pitocin the next day. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to achieve an unmedicated birth with a long induction, so I went for acupuncture yesterday afternoon and had intercourse before bed. Contractions started at 2:30 am, I began timing them at 2:42 am, got up to take a shower and get ready a little after 3:00 even though I was pretty sure this wasn't the real deal and then changed my mind as they got stronger when I was drying my hair. We called my father-in-law to come stay with the kids, but they were so strong that we ended up leaving the kids (our oldest is 10), knowing that he would be there soon. The hospital is just a couple of miles away. They admitted me at 4:55, at which point my water broke all over my shoes and dress. I barely made it into a bed and just started pushing and screaming. She was born at 5:04 am - NINE minutes after we arrived and less than 3 hours after labor began. She is 7 lbs, 6 ounces and absolutely perfect. No tearing/stitches - aside from some major contractions when nursing (and the most painful 10 minutes OF.MY.LIFE) I feel great already.
Robert Michael came 9 days early. His birthday is 10/21/15 he is 6 pounds and 4 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long. Water broke at 10:30 pm and he was born about 5 hours later. No stitches no tearing no vac or forceps. Not bad for my first baby!! He's the quietest sleepiest sweetest baby in the world. I love him to pieces!!
Julianna Grace joined the world on October 21, 2015, nearly 3 weeks before her 11/10 due date.
My 17-year-old dd was hoping for a "Back to the Future Day" baby and that's what she got.
After 4 weeks of painful contractions, my water broke when I was at work (teaching kindergarten!) at 10:45am. Called the dr, who told me to come into the hospital but no need to rush. So I had time to eat, shower, get dd1 from school, and wait for dh to get home (hour commute).
Got to the hospital around 1:45pm where my dr said I was 4cm. They asked if I wanted my epidural at that point & I initially said I'd wait a while. But when the anesthesiologist said she was headed into a c section & I might need to wait once she went in, I told them to go ahead and do it before she left!
Glad I did, because about 30 mins later, dr checked again and I was at 9 1/2cm!
Waited a while, then started pushing. About 1/2 an hour later, after 3 total hours since arriving, with no tearing, Julianna Grace was born!
There was a scary moment when her heart rate was falling with contractions and my dr decided she needed OUT right away! Suddenly my room was filled with people, including the NICU people. Dr had to use suction to hurry up the process, but she was absolutely perfect with no problems! The umbilical cord was kinked & they had to cut it right away, so my dh didn't even get the option.
So far so good on the breast feeding front!
To end the day, of course, my husband (the worlds biggest Mets fan), watched his team get to the World Series! Not many days can even come close to comparing to his day yesterday!
My sweet Eliza Joci was born October 16th at 1 AM. I started having contractions at 2 AM on the 15th and after being stuck at 6 cm after 14 hours of labor got an epidural. 22 hours in with 2 hours of pushing and using forceps, she finally arrived! I didn't have the natural unmedicated birth as planned, but I feel like a warrior! And she is precious and healthy as can be!
Three days after starting an induction Baby Lopez arrived today Oct 22 at 6 pounds 2 ounces and 19 inches long.
Had no choice but induction due to pre eclampsia that was starting to get out of hand. Started my induction on Tuesday completely closed and not effaced. Did cervidil and got absolutely no where. Did the foley bulb the next day and got to 4 cm that afternoon still at 4. They uped the pitocin and that night, got to a 7, 50 percent effaced. Had to back off the pitocin due to fetal destress then up it when they felt was safe all night. About two in the morning I felt a huge gush and my water broke on its own. A couple hours later I was 100 percent effaced and 10 cm and baby was moving down. Pushed for two hours, baby was sunny side up. He ended up going to the NICU due to fluid on his lungs and non responsive. He's doing well now but is going to spend some time in the NICU.
He's absolutely perfect and I am so elated I am his mommy!
Rosalyn Paige Edd:10/13 Born: 10/21 after being induced 8 lbs even 19.5 inches long
I was induced at 7 am with pitocin and was ready to start pushing at about 6:30 pm. Unfortunately she was stuck sunny side up so they gave her a couple hours to turn by turning me and increasing contractions. She turned in that time and was out in about 6 pushes with minimal tearing. She is more than we could have ever anticipated
Baby boy Bennett came into this world small but mighty on Back to the Future Day (DH is thrilled) via scheduled repeat csection. Doctor advised taking him early this week due to an accessory love of the placenta, plus my heart rate was high and I had crazy heart palpitations. Originally, she said that it wasn't dangerous, just advised. After multiple ultrasounds, everyone thought that the two pieces of placenta were connected front to back but on the side of my uterus, so not near the cervix. When she opened me up, she found out the ultrasounds were wrong and that if I had even begun to dilate, it could have been very dangerous since the lobes were connected by blood vessels and membranes. I had already started to soften, so she was very pleased that we had made that call. God definitely stepped in since both of us would have been in serious danger. As it was, the placenta was attached to the front of my uterus, so there was extra maneuvering needed to get Bennett out safely while maintaining the placenta until he was born. My RCS recovery has been very easy so far.
Abel Alexander Born 10/23 at 9:25 AM (EDD 10/19) Started timing contractions at 1:15AM. Left for the hospital at 2:30. Had a VERY tough 3 hours due to being dehydrated and needing an IV... It took six tries by four different nurses to get the IV in correctly; that was by far the most painful part of the labor process. I begged for the epidural which was also hard to place. But finally, by 6:00 AM my epidural kicked in and I relaxed. DH and I both took a nap. Just before 7:00, the doctor barged in to check me. I was only 4CM at that point, but he accidentally broke my water during the check. I figured baby wouldn't be born until the afternoon. Well, at 8:45, I suddenly started to feel a LOT of pressure. At 9:00, The nurse came and I said that I thought I needed more epidural. well, she checked me and said nope, the baby's head is right there and he is ready to be born! She started to get things ready and I could feel him descending down the birth canal. I started to push at 9:15 and he was born ten minutes later. Baby was rotated to his side, so I ended up with two second degree tears that needed stitches. The tearing is very uncomfortable, and I am quite sore down there... But baby is so worth it!
Introducing Ella Riley Edd: 10.18 Born: 10.20 8 lb 4.5 oz 21.5 inches
I was planning for an induction on 10.22 if nothing happened sooner, but fortunately went into labor naturally on 10.19. It was a relatively smooth, 20 hour labor and I still can't believe she's finally here with us! So in love. Good luck and congrats to the other mamas!
Piper Rose, born 10/21 at 6:42 pm. 6 lbs 8 oz and 20 1/2 inches. After going in to be induced at 41w2d, ended up having a c-section,due to baby not handling contractions well. Not this mommas plan, but that's ok because she was delivered healthy and is so perfect!

my water started breaking at 2am Thursday morning so I went to L and D and they sent me home for a few hours and told me to come back at 6pm so they could start me on antibiotics, I got 1 hours sleep then got taken to the delivery room to start being induced and had my water broken, I went from 2cm to 7cm in half an hour and got an epidural which only worked for half an hour. at 2pm I started to push for 2 hours but he just wasn't coming out, another doctor came in the room and tried to vacume him out but he was stuck so I ended up having an emergency c section, it was the most traumatic thing of my life and I'm still in Sooo much pain he's the most beautiful calm baby I've ever met he's just perfect so it's worth it :x
Introducing Emmett Jack M. 1st due date: Sept 29 2nd due date: Oct 4 Actual Birth Date: Fri Oct 2 at 2:13am Weight: 9lbs 3oz Length: 20.5 inches Birth Story: contractions started Thurs at lunchtime, 20 mins apart. Painful by dinnertime and 8 mins apart. Midwife came and checked me at 8:30pm and I was 3cm dilated. She came back at 10:30pm and I was 5cm dilated and contractions were 4-5mins apart. We got to the hospital just before midnight. Had contractions in the ER, in the hallway, in the elevator, the mat ward, finally got to a room. Was able to labour in the shower/tub on the ball. Thank goodness for the grab bars in the shower and thankfully the laughing gas was able to reach me in the shower. By 1:45am I was 9cm dilated and over to the bed. I pushed "wrong" for 20 mins (into my legs instead of my bum). Once I was able to reach down and feel his head I was able to push "properly" for 10 mins and finally got him out at 2:13am. Then wow, we were all so surprised at how big he was (9lbs 3oz. Big sis 4 yrs ago was only 7lbs 1oz). Only needed about a half hr of stitching (2nd degree tear) which was great compared to my daughter where I'd had an hr of stitching up 3rd degree tear with internal damage. So grateful for my hubby, doula and midwife. I couldn't have done it drug free without them. SO painful but SO worth it. We are so in love with our (not so) *little* man!
Myles Edwin Tabor's birthday was his due date of Oct 21st! He arrived at 5:06pm after 13 hours of active labor and 23 minutes of pushing. He weighed 8 lbs 2oz and he's nursing up a storm. Contractions began 10/20 at 4am and were 5-7 mins apart for over an hour so I went ahead and called the birthing center and they told me to come in for monitoring. I didn't get my hopes up and three hours later we were sent home 2cm dilated with no progression. Contractions continued off and on throughout the day and later that day I had my 40wk appt. My midwife decided to perform a stretch and sweep to get me from 2cm to 3 and prescribed me Lystril to help me get some sleep. I slept off and on and as the day went on, the contractions kinda petered out. I tried to go to bed around 3am and contractions started back up around 5 mins apart. I laid down to relax and right at 4am, a particularly strong contraction seized me and at the very end of it I felt a 'pop' and a gush. Having tested positive for GBS, this was my ticket towards delivery! We headed back to the hospital where I received IV fluids and antibiotics for 4 hours before being offered pitocin to help things along and I agreed only if I could immediately follow with the epidural. Well, that plan worked as by 4:43pm I was fully numb and dilated to 10cm and ready to push. The second my LO was born I threw my head back and cried in relief. He's so perfect and so handsome and I love him to the moon and back.
Introducing Adira Mae EDD: 10/25 Born: 10/20 at 10:16am 5 lb 11.6 oz 18.5 inches
My water broke unexpectedly in bed on the morning of the 19th. I was given 6 hours at home to see if labor would begin before my midwife advised starting an induction due to the risk of infection. After 6 hours and still no contractions, I somewhat reluctantly went in for an induction. My midwife agreed to begin very gently and it turns out all I need to get labor started was half a dose of Cytotec. After 12 hours of intense contractions, I agreed to an epidural despite my desire to have a natural birth as I had made little cervical progress and was unable to labor in the bath as originally planned. However, after my epidural my contractions completely stopped! I was then started on pitocin, but baby girl didn't tolerate it well and began having significant heart rate dips with each contraction. In the scariest moment of my entire pregnancy, I was prepped for an emergency c-section. However, at the last minute her heart rate stabilized and they completed a cervical check and I was complete! After 3 1/2 hours of pushing (she then got stuck on my pubic bone), my beautiful and healthy baby girl was born. I am so incredibly grateful to have been able to avoid an emergency c-section and to have such an amazing new addition to our family. Although she is unexpectedly little, she appears to be in perfect health (thank goodness). Best of luck to all the mamas here with new bundles of joy (and those still waiting for delivery!)
Brooklyn Rose born 10/14 @ 8:48 pm at 6lbs 10oz. EDD: 10/22 It was a nice smooth labor and surprisingly quick! Went in on a whim after having random contractions through the night and was dilated to a five, 30 minutes later I was at an 8 and contractions stopped. Then picked up randomly and then she was out in 5 contractions!
Sophia Dorothy was born on Friday, October 23rd at 1:24pm. She weighed 6lbs 13.5 oz and was 20.5 inches long. My EDD was October 30th. FTM and I was exactly one week early. Had preterm contractions for over a month. Labored at home for 6 hours on Thursday night from 5pm to 11pm with mild contractions and went to hospital around 12am on Friday morning when contractions were 5 min apart and stronger. Labored for 12 hours in hospital from 12am till 12pm. Started dilation at 2.5cm in hospital and 70% effaced (which I was already at when I went to doctor on Tuesday) and reached 10cm and 100% effaced by 10am that morning without any inducing. I did get an epidural around 3:30am. The doctor ordered it at 2am and it took 1 1/2 hours to come. The pain was unreal but once the epidural kicked in, I had no pain at all just mild pressure. I was only stationed at -1 by the time I finished dilating so had to wait another 1 1/2 hours before I could start pushing. I started pushing at around 12noon and the baby was delivered vaginally by 1:24 pm. It was hard to push with epidural but I felt no pain when the baby came out. Baby was delivered by a midwife and she was amazing. I had no severe tearing and just a mild tear that took one stitch to close up. Baby was in NICU for he last 2 days under observation and antibiotics because I had a slight fever (100.6) before I started pushing and baby heart rate was a little high during delivery but all her tests came back negative so she gets to go home when I get discharged today. It was an amazing experience and wouldn't change anything for the world. Good luck to all the new mommies and existing mommies!!!
Brailey Mae Edd: 10/28/2015, born 10/22:2015 at 315pm. Went for my 39 week apt on 10/21, I had, had a cough for 2 days, doctor was concerned I may have pneumonia, midwife checked me and was 4cm dilated, 70%, and scheduled to induce the next day. Got to the hospital and was dehydrated so ran two bags of fluids before starting pictocin at 845am. I didn't feel any contractions until my Water broke on its own at 230, was going to get and epidural but after FOUR unsuccessful tries I told them to stop. At 305 extreme pressure to push started so I called for my nurse, was +3, 100%, and 10cm they called the dr and when he got there I pushed 2 times and she was here. I'm so in love.
So happy and grateful to finally be posting in this thread!!
Zora Quinn was born Saturday, October 24th at 6:43pm at 41+2 weeks. She is 7lbs 3oz and 20 inches long.
We went into the hospital on Friday 10/21 at 7:30am to be induced. It took me all day Friday to even start dilating but they gave me cytotek twice to start the process so I had contractions about every 5 minutes with no progress. The contractions were so bad and painful I had to get an injection twice that puts you to sleep but every 5 mins I would wake up screaming in pain and then fall back asleep which lasted about 12 hours. Then around 10pm I began a foley bulb which is basically a balloon that gets inserted to dilate you to 4 cm to force you into dilation. Plus I was still getting the painful contractions. Then around 3am I got that removed (it has to fall out on its on so they continually come in and pull on it or weigh it down with a bag of water. Once that was out I was allowed to start pitocin and I was allowed to have my epidural. That was the game changer luckily. But once I was fully dilated and allowed to start pushing, I pushed for about an hour and then had to stop because I was too numb to push productively and j pulled my right hip flexor due to the numbness. So I had to stop my epidural and wait about an hour and a half to begin again. Then I started feeling the contractions again and it was so painful. So I pushed for another hour and a half and finally got her out but she was face up which makes pushing more painful on my back. Then I had some major bleeding issues and a 1 degree tear which took 4 stitches. After I delivered Zora and the placenta about an hour later I had to get my uterus cleaned out because I had a lot of bleeding and major clots. So it's been a journey but worth every second now that she's here. I can barely walk though and it takes me a really long time to move period which is making everything a process.
Nora Colleen came one day early on 10/24/15! We were team green and now team pink of course. We are in shock and awe of our beautiful girl. Labor did not go as planned, but after 28 hours I could not have cared less. She's healthy and strong and I'm so relieved to have her in my arms. Nora was born at 1:02pm and was 8 lbs 11 ounces and 20.5 inches long. One ounce more than me at birth! Thanks to all you mamas for going on this crazy pregnancy journey with me. I feel so blessed to have a place like this to become ready for my little girl. Congrats to you and can't wait for the next chapters to go through with you.
On 10/25, two days after my due date, we welcomed our baby boy into our family. He was born at 10:30am, just 3 hours after we arrived at the hospital. He weighed 9lbs 4oz and measured 22" long. He is both bigger and longer than his two older sisters were, though not by much. We came home yesterday and are adjusting to life as a family of 5.
Our little Maisie Louise arrived at 9:07p on October 25th, three days after her due date. She's 8 pounds 2 ounces, 22 inches long and had a full head of brown hair.
Feeling so very lucky and in love with this tiny wonder!
Hunter Ryan Cheek EDD: October 30th Born: October 23rd Weight: 6lbs 11oz Height: 18 1/2 in
Went into labor Thursday October 22nd at 4:30 am with back labor. Contractions started around 7 am. Went to hospital to see if I was dilating but contractions were not strong enough but were 4-5 min apart. Got sent home around 2 pm and went home and took a nap. Woke up at 5 pm and my water broke. Went back to hospital and I was finally 2.5 cm after being stuck at 1 cm for a couple weeks. Labored until 3 cm when contractions got intense and were coming right on top of each other and got my epidural. Hunter was born at 7:59 am on October 23rd. He came out sunny side up which made me have to get an epsotomy and the use of forceps. I am over the moon in love with my baby boy! Born at 39 weeks exactly.
I was scheduled for an induction on the 27th, and that night at around midnight I started having timable contractions, 5-6 minutes apart. I waited them out until 330 and we we decided to go in early, instead of our 630 induction date. I also was starting to lose my mucous plug and have bloody discharge. I got admitted and checked my cervix and I was still only 1 cm (like I have been for the past 2 weeks) they inserted cytotec and the contractions started hard and fast. I got iv meds and it was still really bad. I was checked in four hours and was 4cm & got the epidural. the doctors didn't think I was going to progress so fast! they said 6 hours I would probably be ready to push but after my Epi and a dose of pitocin (which I didn't feel at all) I was at a 10 in an hour and a half and literally pushed three times and my little boy was here in less than 3 minutes. everyone was shocked I had progressed so fast. I felt nothing while I was pushing and had one small tear. It was an amazing birth experience. I was in A LOT of pain before my Epi and once I got it I felt amazing and enjoyed my labor. DH and I are so in love with our precious boy.
Re: October 2015 Birth Announcements !

HOME BIRTH! wahooooo, I did it! Desperately in love with this chunky bundle of sunshine!

Born 10/23 at 9:25 AM (EDD 10/19)
Started timing contractions at 1:15AM.

I was planning for an induction on 10.22 if nothing happened sooner, but fortunately went into labor naturally on 10.19. It was a relatively smooth, 20 hour labor and I still can't believe she's finally here with us! So in love. Good luck and congrats to the other mamas!

my water started breaking at 2am Thursday morning so I went to L and D and they sent me home for a few hours and told me to come back at 6pm so they could start me on antibiotics, I got 1 hours sleep then got taken to the delivery room to start being induced and had my water broken, I went from 2cm to 7cm in half an hour and got an epidural which only worked for half an hour. at 2pm I started to push for 2 hours but he just wasn't coming out, another doctor came in the room and tried to vacume him out but he was stuck so I ended up having an emergency c section, it was the most traumatic thing of my life and I'm still in Sooo much pain he's the most beautiful calm baby I've ever met he's just perfect so it's worth it :x

Birth Story: contractions started Thurs at lunchtime, 20 mins apart.

It was a nice smooth labor and surprisingly quick! Went in on a whim after having random contractions through the night and was dilated to a five, 30 minutes later I was at an 8 and contractions stopped. Then picked up randomly and then she was out in 5 contractions!

He is perfectly amazing!! Our birth story will be up when I have more time :-)
Zora Quinn was born Saturday, October 24th at 6:43pm at 41+2 weeks.
Feeling so very lucky and in love with this tiny wonder!
