@Rachd110 I'm starting to get that uncomfortable feeling now too. Mostly when sitting down. My largest are only at 15mm right now, so I can't imagine how uncomfortable you are! I noticed when walking that I can feel my ovaries. I asked my husband if this is what having testes is like....
I've been on ganirelix for 4 days now. It doesn't burn going in like menopur, but afterwards the injection site itches madly for about 20 min. Anyone else experience that?
Anyone else have REALLY tender breasts and/or swollen nipples during stims? If so, what helped? Sorry for the image, but I'm miserable!

I just heard from my nurse. Triggering tonight! What thing that is odd is that my estrogen levels went down. It was 3300 hundred yesterday and now 2300. Anyone else ever experience that? I have 52 follies on my right side and only a few on my left.

@piperlla My retrieval is scheduled for Thursday morning. I do go in tomorrow to check my progesterone levels. They want to make sure the Lupron trigger worked.
@erinscaren Thanks so much for asking! My uterus is measuring at 2.5 mm which RE says is because of the BCPs. I have 5 follicles on the left side and 9 on the right! I'm all set to start stims tonight!! I'm still doing my 5 units of Lupron every morning but RE added folic acid pill in the morning and follistim tonight. Perfect birthday present to me is a big follistim pen injection but I couldn't be more excited for it lol.
@poeface So sorry to hear This is our first round and I'm trying to mentally prepare myself if the BFN comes but I don't think we're ever really prepared for it to go that way. Hoping you can start the next cycle soon and that it will work for you!
I'm getting so antsy and tonight is my first stim night! What do you guys do to pass the time? I try to bury myself in work but that doesn't do me much good lol. I can't imagine what the 2ww is like
@thejessicanicol Yay! Finally ready to start! The first night of stims, I couldn't wait to the the injection, I was nervous and excited. After that first one, it goes by quicker, I feel like my whole night is spent preparing and giving myself shots! I worry about a BFN, too. I think that's only normal. DH says he is sure it will work, wish I shared that optimism! I am off work til Friday and we had a lazy weekend, but I cleaned the house today and I think that was actually better for me physically and mentally. Staying busy helps me to not sit around and worry as much.

Today I did my 2nd retrieval and got 13 eggs so now DH and I wait for the updates on them by tomorrow. 3 day ET will be Friday or if their growing well than a 5 day ET on Sunday. We pray that we have more than 2 this time in the event this fresh cycle (3rd attempt) does not work and we'll have more to try with FETs BUT THIRD TIMES THE CHARM RIGHT?!
So glad your egg retreival went well today, @prayingMom2Be! Hoping you get to make it to 5dayET, but I'll just really hope that you have a bunch of eggs that make it for the transfer and for freezing as well. FX for you!

@halips I had the SAME symptoms. My boobs are so swollen and very tender. My low stomach is so pushed out that I can't button my pants. I have twinges and pains all day. I swear I think I can actually feel my body working! It's so weird. I don't have a lot of follicles, but mine are getting bigger, and the amount of water I consume- I think I may float away.

Had US this morning. They saw 5 follies >10 mm and a bunch of smaller ones. I was initially worried about that, but my nurse said they don't expect to see a lot of big ones on day 6. Unless something comes back funny with the estradiol, all meds stay the same. Side note, it is really mean to jack a girl up on hormones and then ask her to fight rush hour traffic especially when the drive is already an hour with no traffic! Definitely experienced hormone rage this morning! Hahaha. @AmyReneeF I'm eager to hear how yours went!
@erinscaren - yes the feeling like a cow bit stinks! I also have over an hour drive to work, I've been practicing deep breathe and putting on some serious ballads that I can belt out to ease the stress
@Colleen0516 Sorry you have the same symptoms, but glad I'm not the only one! I have the most twinges and aches when I am sitting or lean forward or when I walk for an extended period of time, but it totally feels like my body is working overtime! I've been wearing my nicest yoga pants to work the past 2 days, so far no one has noticed, it helps hide the 4lb weight gain I've had since last week too. I discovered last night that taking 2 tylenol does help some with the tender boobs and using a hot water bottle on my stomach and lower back is easing most of the more significant pain I'm having.
I complete agree on your assessment of all 3 meds!

Just heard back from our nurse and out of 13 we have 11 eggs to work with!!! I am so happy right now that I am crying hysterically (when our first ER gave us 11 but only 2 to work with)! Were scheduled for a day three ET but if they continue to grow we'll be push back to Sunday. I pray that we get our BFP with this cycle!!
@thejessicanicol - you can add the follistim to the menopur once it's reconstituted so that you only have one injection. Did you get instructions for that?

@thejessicanicol - yes, I had the follistim pen for injections too. I just mixed the menopur and the water, then dialed the follistim and added it into the menopur vial and then just filled the one syringe with both meds. I am terridied of needles so I asked about mixing them Good luck!

@erinscaren I heard it's best for the follies to grow slowly. Usually ends up with better quality eggs. I think your right on track! I leave extra early in the morning just to beat rush hour traffic. I'm usually out of the house at 6:15 am. Nothing I can do about the commute to work after my appointments. The one thing that sucks is that I work 1 mile away from my house. My clinic is downtown and usually takes me 30 minutes to get there in the morning.
@prayingmom2be 11 eggs are great! FX that y ou can do a 5 day transfer and have a few to freeze.
@twomommiestobe I didn't even think it was possible to have 52 follies on one ovary. I'm sure there won't be an egg in all of them, but I'm glad we have a lot to work with. I'm nervous about he pain after retrieval. I've heard the more follies the more pain.

Hi All! I wanted to introduce myself, new to the boards! We have been TTC for about 3 years now and due to MF our RE suggested IVF last month. So we began our cycle on October 24th with BC! I have 6 days left of BC --- hormones have been out of control!!! Can only imagine whats go come! Baseline appointment is set for the 14th, assuming all looks well do you typically stim that day?? not sure what to expect! I got my big shipment of meds 2 weeks ago and looks like I will be starting with Gonal F, as much as I'm afraid of these needles I'm anxiously awaiting the first one to get it over with!!
Reading along so far on this board has really helped with getting me prepared, can't wait to see whats in store for us all!
@fmitchell Welcome! I had my baseline appt 1 day before starting stims. I think it varies. Gonal F needles are small and I barely feel them going in. Of the 3 stims I'm on, it's the easiest. Good luck!!

Thought i would offer my 2 cents about a couple of things i didn't anticipate through this cycle so far, in case it helps anyone else. (It's weird but i feel slightly more like a veteran just being a couple days ahead of some of you in this ivf journey!)
One thing I will say I didn't expect was to feel so blah the whole time I was on injections. Kind of like a duller version of myself, more tired, more lazy, more, i guess blah! Definitely not like depressed or anything, but I will say those injections DEFINITELY affect you. I am in the 2WW now, and after not having all those injections I feel more like myself! Not sure if anyone else feels that way, but i definitely didn't expect it. I was also severely emotional. crabby some times, tearful others, to the point where one day my DH asked me if i was mad at him. oops! I wasn't, just in a mood I guess.
I would say the worst shot day by far is the trigger shot day - SOOOOOO much liquid going into you! but it's also exciting so its worth it. My tummy hurt for 3 days after. (i must have done it wrong or something)
Also, the 2ww is KILLER. The IVF 2ww is by far different than a natural or Clomid or IUI wait. every body sensation you feel and question, and it's so hard! Thanks for all your support through this journey ladies!! I test on SUNDAY!!!! (I can make it that far! It's already Wednesday, and Weds is practically over, so it's like 3 days really.... haha)

@smitty88 thank you for the article. Cramps are not too bad today but I feel exhausted.... a lot more than usual. I'm not sure if its all in my head. You are so lucky that you only have a few more days to go....I have a whole week!
Just to add to @smitty88's experience I have been having a hard time with the progesterone shots. Not so much w the injection itself but I feel very sore afterwards. I agree this 2WW is the worst part. It sucks living as if I was pregnant but not knowing if I really am.
On another note I wanted to see what you guys are planning when it comes to the Beta. Mine is a week away and I am not sure how I should prepare myself. I think I will be told over the phone whether its positive or negative but I will be at work. Are you preparing yourself by thinking it will be negative so you aren't disappointed or are you trying to remain positive. I am always a glass half empty kind of person bc my attitude has always been if you keep your expectations low you cant be disappointed but when it comes to this i am starting to think a negative attitude might not be healthy....anyone have an opinion about this?

Reciprocal Ivf Feb 2016. DW eggs and I am carrying. EDD: 10/27/16

@amos1417 No I didn't. It's possible to do that with the follistim pen? I'll definitely have to ask my nurse about that because that sounds so much better than two separate shots!

Started with RE 12/14; 3 failed rounds of clomid, started letrozole
IUI #1 & #2- BFN
IVF #1 - 9/15 Cancelled Day 9
IVF #2- started stims 10/24 ER- 11/15 6 eggs- 5 fertilized/ 1 frozen
FET #1 -1 embryo-12/9/15- BFN
IVF #3- started stims 1/22/16 ER- 2/8 33 eggs(!)- 21 mature, all 21 fertilized - 6 snowflakes!
FET #2- 2 embryos- April 4th-BFN
ERA-June 8- results show need 12 addt'l hours of PIO
FET #3- 2 embryos transferred August 14,2016 BFP! on 8/24! Beta #1-22 Beta #2-83 Beta #3-368
Confirmed singleton-Heartbeat on 9/19-160bpm! EDD: May 1, 2017, It's a girl!!
Pre-term labor/loss-stillborn at 18w.
FET #4- 1 embryo-Aug 12th-BFP on 8/23 Beta #1-112 Beta #2-298 Beta #3-1010
Confirmed Identicals!- Heartbeats seen on 9/8 Miscarriage on 9/18
FET #5- 1 embryo- 1/12/18-BFN
Lots of testing and finally determined I have elevated natural killer cells. Will begin prednisone and IVL treatment before next round.
IVF#4- April 2018 8 eggs, 7 fertilized/3 frozen
FET #6- 1 embryo- 6/11/18- BFP on 6/21 Beta #1-446, Beta #2-1841

I go back Friday for another blood test to make sure its rising, then next week I'll go in for first ultrasound.

@fmitchell Welcome! I did my baseline yesterday morning and started stims last night so for me it was same day. I'm doing follistim instead of the gonal-f so maybe that would make it different? Not sure.
