We are having SUCH a hard time picking a middle name for our little lady. We've narrowed it down to five (some are family names) I'm open to hearing your thoughts! We have a single syllable last name.
June Rose June Naomi June Claire June Mackenzie June Anne

I would go with a family name. But I like Mackenzie, Anne and Claire. Mackenzie would be good IMO since both first and last names are one syllable

I think I would stay away from the one syllable middle names because they don't flow as nice with a one syllable first and last name. Naomi is my favorite but Mackenzie works too.
We have had Noah picked out since week 24 and told our parents (who naturally blabbed it to everyone). Only problem is for some reason I have grown to really dislike that name now and have decided to choose another one. Our parents are furious! Mine cried and are not speaking with me at the moment

Wow that's quite an overreaction to a name change in utero. It's really their issue though. They shouldn't have blabbed it to everyone.

Agreed, that is unreasonably dramatic. Once you decide on a name (whether it's Noah or a new name), I wouldn't share it with them until your son is here. Once they see their adorable grandson, I bet they won't care what his name is.

Thanks! My parents are type that over react to everything. We have decided to not tell anyone the new name until they come to the hospital to visit so no one can spill the beans this time. But I need to tell someone so I will tell you ladies
Oops it cut off. We are going to go with the name Blake
Love the name Blake and like pp said, once your parents see him, they'll most likely fall in love with the name. And if not, so what! What you want the name to be is all that matters.
For the adelaide thread, a friend of mine named her daughter Ameline, I was surprised at first but it grew on me (a bit late but there was sommany entries at one point )
One week from due date and have officially made up our minds. Boy will be Charlie Jack and if it's a girl she will be named Claire Evelyn. Can't wait to find out!!!
I went to school with a Leila if your interested in other alternatives of Layla. I do like The Leilaigh version though, looks gaelic inspired and reminds me of sheilagh.
I'm torn between Gabriel Alexander and Gabriel Kai. Ugh I dislike middle names.
I prefer Alexander as a name in general, but depending on the last name, Kai could be better. A short last name would be better with Alexander, a last name with three or more syllables could sound a bit much.
Ex: Gabriel Alexander Brown vs Gabriel Alexander Sorenson
The opposite with Kai- a short last name wouldn't flow as well as a longer one. If the last name is two syllables, you're probably good for either.
Team Green here- we're set on Eleanor Concetta for a girl (perhaps nn "Nora"), and were thinking Connor Edward for a boy. However, DH isn't crazy about Connor, so we've been discussing other possibilities. Any thoughts on Nicholas Christopher (nn "Cole")? Middle names are all after close family members.
