  • This makes me feel better about being an expat...

I used to love that stuff when it was still hot... I had some jello pudding sent over in a package... worth making to cure the iminent craving

  • I may or may not have just gone out and bought an apple fritter and a huge jug of milk...and then downed them in like 12 seconds flat. Feeling a bit guilty.

Don't worry, today I have had a snack size bag of goldfish, a pumpkin muffin, and some Oreos.some days you have to splurge!

@skruhmin I hope you feel better soon! Moving is stressful enough. Plus adding in pregnancy, additional kids, and sickness! I'll be thinking of you! Glad your new house is finally finished! Don't forget to seal your granite!!!! My neighbor forgot to seal hers and is now involved in some lawsuit because she stained it and wants them to replace it.

I haven't had a chance to check in with the other crazy threads. I'll report back when I do!

    @ecwk WHHHHHAAAAATTTTT!?!

I don't like the other brands, like jello and hunts that's already made... Only liked Swiss miss or homemade.

@llybeck sorry!! If it's any consolation misery loves company! ;)

Hmm well to be fair I've never had Swiss Miss so maybe will have to check it out.
It's the texture, though. Not unlike what I'd imagine eating mayonnaise with a spoon is like. *shudder*

  • The powder Jello to cook it with milk is good! It's those weird chewy jello pudding cups in the refrigerated section that I don't like.

Had a rough day with my kids today and started to panic that I'm adding another one. Can I really do this? Oy.
No panic!! You can do it!! To me, managing with two already while being pregnant, you're magic!! I have total faith!!

    Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves!

ETA other options...Sleepy Hollow, 50 First Dates...are you thinking any specific genre?
  • I have a lot of movie suggestions but since it's October, I'll recommend a scary one! The Babadook is a very good newer scary movie on Netflix.
  • @lcq5504 something that won't take too much concentrating. My brain is not so good today!!
@llybeck yes!!! I loved it! I adore scary movies but DH doesn't so I watched it in chunks on my own. Probably better I broke it up, it was pretty scary!!!

  • I think I saw the preview for the Babadook movie. There's a new Christmastime movie coming out that is actually a horror movie. It's got the guy from Parks and Rec.

Man, whatever you do, don't ever watch that scary movie with Keri Russell... Dark Skies. I still have nightmares and anxiety about it.

So for some reason my bladder has been feeling meaner than usual lately. I'm not supposed to have soda or a lot of sugar on the regular, and the other day I was up till 1 in the morning crying because I was in pain after a Dr. Pepper. I sipped a sprite with lunch today and feel like my pee is lava. Evil cystitis needs to go get a life and stop bothering mine!

Worst part is I know if I complain to DH he'll just get all "I tell you not to have soda and what do you do? You have soda. And then it hurts you." No sympathy. Wahhh.

Edited because sentences and spelling are really hard today.
  • Ugh our cows are being total assholes today... When I was driving home from my A/S today I noticed some black and white spotted things where they are NOT supposed to be. Of course DH and FIL are out picking corn so I'm left to corral the cattle off of our moderately travelled road and back into our yard all by myself. DH and FIL finally arrive, fix the fence and get the few loose critters back where they belong with the rest of their moo friends. Well apparently one was hiding during this time, now it's dark and my younger brother who stopped by for a chat called into the house "uhhh is there supposed to be a cow in your yard..?" Of course home alone again. So my brother goes to pick up DH who's God knows where bailing and we get this large fellow back where he belongs. Thank goodness it was only one lone steer, because it really sucks chasing cattle around in the dark.

Sorry for my rambling story, I'm just dang sick of this fall. There hasn't been any rain so DH hasn't gotten a break from harvest and I miss him. The cattle being out twice in one day while I was home alone was just the icing on the cake. Any farm wives out there feel me?!

I totally understand where you're coming from. DH and I raise calfs starting in March and it never fails I will come home and there will be wondering babies playing out in the fields, our yard, in the barns etc. And there is always that one little F'er that has to be difficult and wont just go back in the pasture. We currently only have 8 left and they go to auction on Thursday I believe, DH is pissy because beef prices are down drastically since July when we first sold a few. I'm just ready to be done with this group/season.

It's just bizarre to me that people have that mentality... where does that even come from? It's a gift, be polite, I thought that was just a given but I guess not. And not only that but are people really that specific about the things they are going to have for their baby? Who really cares, you're going to use it for a few months to a year on most of that stuff, I don't see why it matters if it doesn't "coordinate" or something. Or you could just return it if it's that bad!
