I just read through the "clingy to DH" thread and laughed way too hard about the person going window to window watching their DH mow the lawn. I'm not sure why that hit me as son
YES!!! I was laughing so hard I peed a little. Dude, that's bordering on completely unhealthy obsession. I'm hoping they've only been together for like 2 months and are really, really young. If I did that to my husband he'd be super creeped out.
There was a lady when I was pregnant with my first and it had to be MUD. If I remember correctly she got pregnant from a man that was cheating on his wife and she was determined to break up the marriage. Flash forward to her bragging about her push present of an SUV Lexus or Mercedes or something and saying how she deserved it and we should all demand things like that from our baby daddy's... she posted a bunch of pics of it with a car seat in it too I think, LOL, that was a real shit show.
The only thing I wanted after having DD and not being able to eat for more than 24 hours was a giant breakfast. The hospital said I could order two, one for me and one for DH, so I ordered two and DH goes, "oh, you ordered for me too, that's nice..." Um, no, I'm eating them both and if you're lucky you can have my scraps. That's what you get for flaunting every meal you ate the day before at me while I was in mass amounts of pain! Beyond food, I have no clue why anyone would expect or want a push present, I would feel ridiculous.
Mmm breakfast. All I managed to get last time was one of the nurse's turkey sandwiches she brought from home because it was 2:30 am and everything was closed. I had just lost tons of blood and almost passed out. Best turkey sandwich I had ever eaten.

Exactly, I would do that only if I wanted to scare DH. Now I kind of want to do this to him, hahahahahaha
@kynbar5 Why did she even mention baby #0?? I understand that it seems like a very sticky and personal situation, but why bring it up and then say "We never talk about it"??? Cause....now you're talking about it.
It sounds like MUD to me. Her stories are hard to follow - I can't remember what it was but one of the timelines didn't match up. I think she was talking about baby #0 and how she knew she had short labors or something. Like unless there is a baby #-1 I think you're making stuff up miss lady.
She is cray cray. Go back and read her posts from the baby name board. I read through them a few weeks ago. She has basically been accused of MUD because she says things that contridict each other all the time.
That reminds me! My last hospital had THE BEST cafeteria food. I gave birth at 8:23am, just in time for breakfast. I had biscuits and gravy, eggs, toast and a giant cinnamon bun. /drool. I hope this hospital is just as good.
Our hospital has the best breakfast, too. I always order the french toast with powdered sugar. Mmmmmm. A new Smashburger was built right next to the hospital since my last birth. Maybe that will be my push present. Haha.
We're off to a Halloween party tonight. I couldn't think of anything clever for my pregnant belly, so I'm just going to be a bee. The only bee costume I could find was a junior's size 7. So I'm really going to be a pregnant woman in a skin tight bee suit. Lol.

I actually remembered her (after a while) from the baby naming board and how CRAZY she was. She wanted to name her daughter after her recently deceased brother, but was against all Charles names...weird. Anyway, I hope she's totally fake. Because if she isn't that's 5 children who are dependent upon her and countless other she care for with her "business"...

Lol but is it 5 or 6? Or maybe none. Maybe she's got a room full of dolls... 8-}

I didn't think so either but I looked at her profile and all of her posts and discussions are gone. If you delete your account do they go away? Does your profile still show up?
Dh got me a push present when I had ds. I love ducks (like the baby version, with squeaker or stuffed and soft) and we did ds nursery in ducks with a bright orange and blue. As a push present, he got a stuffed duck toy for ds and I to cuddle with. I had problems keeping for down for a couple days after having ds so food was out, I don't wear jewelry (other than my wedding band, 1 pair of stud earings, and my mommy necklace, all of which never come off), a new car is rediculous... the stuffed animal was perfect and I hope to get something similar this time from him. Just as a note, if he doesn't get me anything this time, then I won't really mind. The best gift after having a baby, imho, is having someone care for the baby (s) while you rest and dh will no doubt sit and rock them until they become addicted to the motion, just like he did with ds, while I try to rest.
Honest question--is it better/worse for someone to bump an old thread, or start a new thread on a topic that has been covered before? It seems like both actions are frowned upon here.

I would say start a new thread on something that has been covered a 100 times. I don't mind if people bump an old thread to ask a question but that could just be me.
All this food talk is making me hungry again! My hospital had great food. They actually outsourced it to another company and had a menu you could ordered from within certain hours. Is this normal? I had no idea hospitals did that. I thought they just brought you a tray. I was there for two weeks and would get the same personal pizza for lunch everyday and cheesecake. I figured I deserved it for being stuck in bed. I actually craved it after I left.

My hospital had a menu for their cafeteria. It was so good. For lunch one day, I had an open face turkey sandwich with gravy and mashed potatoes. Nommmmm
Holy crap I just had to read through 98 new posts to this thread and you ladies crack me up and inspire me! I was thinking this bmb should create a recipe and call it Push Present Pie, since a lot of us would want some kind of pie or cake! Yum!
Btw, had my AS today, tech said things seemed good as far as she was seeing, but of course the doc has to review and report back to my OB with the results. I did NOT find out the sex, as hubby couldn't go because of work, so my sister is making a special 4 hour trip to come and join us as we open the envelope together and celebrate with some cake! This will take place tomorrow evening, I'll update again at that time!
Yeah both of my push presents were healthy boys. And I gave birth at night so got the soggy turkey sandwiches. Didn't care it was the best thing I'd ever eaten.

Rant here: I'm over my BIL telling me what my pregnancy/ labor is going to be like. I honestly what to scream at him every time he tries to tell me what labor is like! He didn't push his kid out my SIL did! And EVERY women is a little different. Just because my SIL had 10 people in her room doesn't mean I want 10 people in my room. I'm quite a conservative person when it comes to my body. My SIL not so much. Which is fine, but for the love of god if he tells me one more time I won't care whose in my room, I'm going to let my pregnancy hormones rage!
Ps. I baked 6 dozen chocolate chip Carmel cookies today. Probably my favorite part of the day ☺️

Speaking of pushing I really reallllllly miss having nice, normal BMs. I miss it more than booze, raw sushi, and dairy (lactose intolerant)
Oh and more than food coloring
