I work as a store manager for a famous make up retailer (not Ulta ) which is a lot of fun but hard work I don't have any experience with baby's so I'm looking forward picking up tips and tricks .
Estimated Due Date (EDD): June 28 based on ovulation date. I've had really long & irregular periods since going off the pill, so this is the best guess until I get a dating u/s.

I gave him the book after. He was still so surprised...he didn't know I was planning to test this morning.

I thought about it - I had been lurking a solid year but only active these last few months. Given the "culture" of the board, I did not want to perceived as a drive by. I very much appreciated their knowledge and learned a lot in the past 12 months!!
How did you tell your significant other? I asked him if he could see the line for our first I gave him a little kstate baby hat. He's ku and I'm kstate. I found it entertaining.

How did your tell your significant other (SO)? It's not an exciting story, we were on vacation and we both kind of already knew I was pregnant, so I just told him right after I peed on the stick.

I have a dd close to the same age. Her edd was 06/23/14 but was born 07/03! Kind of excited that things will be spaced out the same!
My EDD is June 18, 2016 which is really neat because I'm a June baby as well. DH isn't too excited for two major B days in the same month but he'll have to get over it. Haha
This is my first pregnancy and I am so excited but completely and totally terrified, thinking sticky thoughts for my little bean!
I got preggo on my second cycle TTC and I cannot believe it happened that fast, still seems so unreal.
How I told DH: I took a 2 HPT on 10/10 and had to use direct sunlight and squinty eyes to see that second line but it was there. But I was hesitant to tell him because I didn't believe it my self. Got a digital the next day and plain as day it said pregnant, so I suspiciously pushed him to run some errands the next morning by himself and frantically put my plan in to motion. It's our first pregnancy so I really wanted to do something special. So I printed a picture of the HPT and put it along with some onesies and a sign that said you're going to be a daddy on our picture board above the kitchen table (picture board= wooden frame and chicken wire, I use cute clothes pins to pin pictures) When he got home and saw it all he could say was "Liar!" With a big grin. And of course I filmed the whole thing for posterity lol
Sorry this was so long, looking at it now I probably should have used the short version. I work at a vet clinic so I'm curious to see if there are any other mommas to be in the same boat!

I am usually a pretty optimistic person, so not long after we started trying, I got our son a "Big Brother Bear" shirt -- and then we have a gourmet ice cream shop in town that does personalized labels, so I bought a pint and added a special label. Then, after dinner when my husband went to walk the dog, I changed our son's shirt and handed him the ice cream to give daddy when he got back. Aaaand ... he didn't notice any of it. He'd just gotten back from a weeklong work trip that afternoon - so I have given him a pass. But still - what other reason would our son have for wearing a big brother shirt!?!?
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I had HELLP Syndrome at the end of my pregnancy with my son. Everything worked out as well as can be expected and he was born healthy at 36 weeks. However, as excited as I am, I'm also still pretty gun-shy about this whole thing and am just hopeful that my doctors can help me keep everything in check since we know it's a possibility. Cautiously optimistic!

Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I am just a full-time working mom with two boys, 3 (and 5 months) and 17 months, who share the same birthday. I am glad this one will hopefully land about a month away from his/her brothers' birthday! SO and I are not married yet, we have just kind of taken our time with that step. But, we discussed getting married soon. I started thinking maybe we would have an actual wedding, though I figured after two kids it might not be reasonable. But, a day later I learned about this itty bitty, so I think my wedding dreams are done. We will probably head down to the courthouse sometime next year. I am also thinking of staying at home once this guy/girl is here. My mom watches our kiddos, but I feel it is a lot to ask with 3 young ones and the cost of daycare for 3 is definitely going to equal my income. I have always wanted to stay at home anyway, I am just scared of not being able to make ends meet or having trouble re-entering the workforce down the road.

How did your tell your significant other (SO)? He was working out of town and wasn't sure if/when he could call and I'm too impatient so I text him and said "it's a good thing you are working all that overtime because we definitely need a minivan" he called me immediately and thought I was kidding.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: My husband and I are very excited to add a baby to our blended family and incredibly excited to share the news with the kids as they have been talking babies for awhile now . I'm a full time photographer and I'm a bit nervous about keeping up with everything while pregnant but I'm ready for the challenge. I am so much more educated on diet and fitness this time around so I'm excited to put that knowledge to good use during this pregnancy.

How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? He knocked it out the first month we started TTC. He is over the moon about the quality of his sperm. We had tried last year for a month or so but I was diagnosed with Endo and dealt with that surgery for a while before we started again this month.

I had suspicions when I was late and I took a test and got so mad it was negative (not checking it again until the a few days later when I got a BFP) then I dug out the original and sure enough there was a faint line... patience is not my strongest quality! I made him come back in and showed him. He's still in disbelief it happened so quick this time. He's waiting until our first appt to tell anyone.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I'm beyond excited and can't wait to get farther in. My kiddo is almost 4 and she's been on a baby craze herself and wants to be a big sister too!

We are cautiously optimistic at this point but with each passing day I feel more excited. I scheduled my first appointment this morning and it's starting to feel really real. We're waiting until after the appointment to decide when to start telling people. Other than that...we live in the Seattle area, have a yellow lab, a black cat and a couple chickens. I love to read, ski, drink wine (sigh) and spend time with our friends and family. Very excited to start participating on this board!
I had my first June 22 as well! And just found out yesterday I'm pregnant again according to my calculations due June 5. I'm am super nervous because I had horrible morning sickness with the first one and starting to feel it coming again. How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I took a test Thursday night when he was a work, and then Friday went to target to get baby booties, more tests and a daddy prep book. When I got home from work I told him I had a present for him, he opened the bag, pulled out the test , looked at me and said "already?" I think he was just as surprised as I was, we are beyond excited.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I am so excited about this new journey and life transition.

EDD: June 19th TTC: We weren't. hahaha. No, we'd been trying since we got married five years ago, but after no pregnancy I sort of gave up. I quit my job and started grad school at 33. Then, surprise, I was late for my period (I'm fairly regular), and I was pregnant. The world works in crazy ways.
I bought my SO a card to tell him, but he walked me home from the train station that night and he could tell something was wrong, so I just burst out crying and told him. Happy, terrified, extremely hormonal crying.
Haven't had my first appt yet, but I think June 25th.

So I got home, took the test without telling him, and then all bets went out the window. I thought I'd do something creative but all I could do in the moment was shout, "GET IN HERE! DOES THAT LOOK LIKE 2 LINES??"

We weren't. I was on the mini pill and took it every day.
How did your tell your significant other (SO)?
I just told him I was four days late and he said "no" and laughed knowing what was coming next.

I'm happy to be here but also sad that this will be my last pregnancy. But at least this time I know it will be the last and I can revel in every little bit of it.

This will be my 1st but I have three great step-kiddos (14, 12, and 9)!
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? Stopped Nuvaring in April. Had really wacky cycles until August and September. So, two?
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? The 'ole hot dog buns in the oven bit. Not too original but he was stoked, and thought it was funny because they happened to be frozen. Shows how much forethought I put into that!!
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I am so incredibly excited to be here but it still seems so surreal. I also consider myself even luckier because I work as a school psychologist so this baby's EDD is right at the beginning of summer break which is perfect!

How long ttc? 6 months while bf but once I dropped one feeding I got pregnant the same month!

How did you tell you significant other - funny thing is he told me I was pregnant and demanded that I took a pregnancy test I have irregular cycles so it's funny that he seems to know my body a little better that I do myself

Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: hi, Im Jennifer (26) from Puerto Rico and im married . Working at firstbank. Currently I have a 7 month old girl named Anna and she is our world. I cant believe she is going to be a big sis.
TTC: We weren't. hahaha. No, we'd been trying since we got married five years ago, but after no pregnancy I sort of gave up. I quit my job and started grad school at 33. Then, surprise, I was late for my period (I'm fairly regular), and I was pregnant. The world works in crazy ways.
I bought my SO a card to tell him, but he walked me home from the train station that night and he could tell something was wrong, so I just burst out crying and told him. Happy, terrified, extremely hormonal crying.
It's been a long road- Let's just say that!
