Holy Hannah baby boy is HUNGRY today.  Just had a blueberry muffin and I want 5 more.

    Holy Hannah I've never heard that one before. That's what we are naming this kiddo though so I'm glad you think so highly of her (;

I seriously can't wait to hear about your appointment @ecwk !!!

:D That was MY girl name (DH really didn't give an opinion on it).  My friend Sarah says that all the time....I kind of adopted it :D

Seriously y'all?! That was MY girl name! I guess since I'm having a boy I can go ahead and not be afraid of someone else using it. Haha. Also @skruhmin I hope you feel better soon!!!
ETA- @ecwk yay for a great appointment! :)

  • Lol, she owes me, been helping her out alot. But yeah, she is awesome. I'm hoping to also get my nails done and then fo date night that night, but we will see... we have a dine-in theater here that dh and I have been wanting to go to since we moved here, maybe I can convince him that we can splurge and go.
  • Ugh my alarm clock goes off at 5:50 am during the week. Today I wake up on my own at 6. No sleeping in for me :(

That's ok I guess. I have a lot to do this morning before I head out to the Breast Cancer Walk. It's my 2 mile exercise for the day lol. Then it's home to clean house. I really hope i have a nesting phase this time around. I want this house spotless now but no energy to do it.

  • G'morning all.  Awake since 4am here so I figured I'd get up and get some rescue stuff done before DS wakes up.  Got a new foster coming in today.  Hopefully my male doesn't give her too much grief since she's just been spayed Thursday.  Guess I need to go buy a new dog bed for her.
  • @smushi aww I didn't know you fostered dogs!! Big respect to you. Ours is a rescue, best little girl ever!! :x
Have a great Saturday you guys! I'm seeing lots of friends later that I havnt seen since I announced my pregnancy. It will be great to catch up!

@flowerpower5838 I don't know what you said exactly but if you think the warning is unwarranted you could ask them to review it and they may possibly reverse it!

@ecwk Thanks!  Usually I just do all the volunteer and transport coordinating and adoption leg work, but every once in awhile I end up with a foster too :)  I try not to since I can't give them all the training and time I used to (with DS here) but she's an old gal, so I'm hoping she can just chill and go with the house flow.  DH is volunteering at a crossfit competition so I don't feel so bad about sneaking in another dog (my siggy is starting to make sense now, eh?) lol

Hope you have a fun weekend seeing friends!
  • @smushi we foster too! Though we usually adopt our foster babies. LOL!

I think that's one reason why we can't foster. Well we don't have the room or time at the moment but DH would never be able to part with them and we'd have about 435 dogs after a few months!

  • It usually works out for us that I like the absolutely intolerable ones, and DH likes all the idiot puppies.  We've only ever had two near misses where we both could have said yes, but they were out the door and another needed us :)
  • I have all of my scary Gigantore pics on my work computer. I'll have to wait until Monday.

  • I think my belly wasn't very scary or pronounced (I never got that torpedo look, but DS did happen to stretch my rib cage two inches wider since that's where his legs were the entire last few weeks....)

But pictures of my feet/ankles/legs.  Those are the ones that give me nightmares.  I'm really really really hopeful that doesn't happen this time.
  • @smushi we foster too! Though we usually adopt our foster babies. LOL!

I think it's so awesome that you guys foster!!

@smushi the siggy pic made sense before but somehow seems even more appropriate knowing this. Lol!

I'd definitely end up with a house full of pups if I even tried. Last time there was an adoption fair for rescued animals at petsmart DH had to send someone to drag me out. He didn't trust himself because we'd definitely end up with another dog. :D

I always told dh if we couldn't have more children we would just foster/adopt a bunch of dogs :) but no sooner I said that then I got pregnant. I love doggies and kudos to all the foster mommies!

I always thought I was a dog-person until I finally had my own. He is super awesome and I love him sooooo much, but it turns out I am more of a Just-want-to-love-on-everyone-else's-dogs-person haha. My sweet pooch moved in with my old neighbor when I got married, bc my husband is very much NOT a dog-person, and my neighbor's old dog had just passed away and she wanted another, so that worked out well for all. And I still get to see him sometimes. My two oldest kiddos are scared of dogs. My youngest loves them. We are a family of cat people though. Butt-stamps aside ;)

  • I like both dogs and cats and we have both. My cat is very dog like though in his behavior and he and the dog play and wrestle together. I like each for different reasons. That being said if I have to chose between one or the other I would lean towards dog.
  • I am a dog person for sure. We have 2 pitbulls and 1 cat. The cat was to make my husband happy but he is a pretty cool cat.

  • I'm a dog person! As a kid I always wanted cats and my adult self will never understand why.
  • Love the little teal sweater!

Holy crap stomach bug at 19 weeks pregnant equals freaking your husband out because you're writhing in pain. Definitely called the midwife but she thinks it's definitely a bug. Weird how intestinal pain is moved to the top of your stomach with pregnancy and someone get this gremlin out of my intestines!

I hope you are feeling better today!

  • @kitkatbird where do you live? Lol, maybe I will come visit you when we are able to get a dog. I had a husky baby (she is no longer with us unfortunately) but the only thing that bothered me is I could train her to sit/stay, fetch, shake, lay down, and a ton of other trickes, but could never get her to loose-leash walk. She would use her 45 pounds of muscles to drag me across the yard when we would go out. I could use someone like you to help me when I get my next furry baby

Thanks. Mostly. I started a fun migraine in the middle of everything that's hanging on today. But I think it's only a 24 hour thing.

  • Of course unnamed person on this board who drives me nuts is getting a shower for her Nth baby.....

Also I have been relieved that this baby is American as well as british... All my cravings (salt and vinegar, black tea, firey ginger beer) have been UK foods.... tonight the little one was doing a dance while I downed some Phish Food

FIREY GINGER BEER?!? That sounds amazing. I love Moscow Mules because I love ginger. Is it spicey or something? Sounds like a dumb question since ginger already has a little kick to it.
