Hi all. I'm a second time mom and just recently had my due date go from May 27 to June 4 based on early ultrasound so now joining this board! Hubby and I weren't necessarily trying to conceive but weren't trying not to. We have a DD who will by nine months this month so definitely feeling a bit overwhelmed. Looking forward to being apart of this group
Hiiii. First time mom, about 7 weeks pregnant today. Our EDD is June 1st and we are super excited! I woke up early 3 days after my late period, took like four pregnancy tests and then woke my husband up to tell him the news! He's never gotten up so fast. we were not trying actively at all!
We weren't trying either way. Figured if it happened it was meant to be.

DH and I are super excited as we wanted our LOs to be close in age. Just not sure how some of our family will take it!! We will be telling them Thursdsy.
I am also exclusively breastfeeding DS and worry about being able to continue it throughout my pregnancy. My plan was to do so for his first year. I am experiencing a major decrease in supply with no stash.

Unfortunately my immediate family is large and not good at keeping secrets, so now grandma, mom's best friend and sister's bf's and their mothers know as well... Go figure.

How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? We actually weren't, but we weren't preventing and I was tracking my cycles, so the pregnancy isn't a surprise.
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I showed him my pregnancy test! I can't keep a secret from him for a second so I didn't have a cute way of telling him.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I have a baby under a year old, so these kids will be close together! I'm really excited!

How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? About 4 months
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? It's not an exciting story, we were on vacation and we both kind of already knew I was pregnant, so I just told him right after I peed on the stick.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: with my first pregnancy I wasn't part of any discussion group or anything, so I'm excited to try this out this time!
Are you a first time mom? If not, what number? I miscarried in January at 12 weeks, but praying this will be our first take-home baby! I was a lurker in the July 2015 group for the first trimester.
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? Since June. Last pregnancy was successful after the first month trying, so it was a little discouraging that it took longer this time. Not nearly as bad as some of you girls have it, and I do feel blessed for being able to conceive so quickly. In August, I began working with a homeopathic Dr who was helping me balance my hormones and take care of some other issues. It did the trick apparently!
I told my husband by asking him to sit on the couch and just telling him. We both started crying and then he kept asking if I was sure. I was so sure that we wouldn't get pregnant that month, that I waited until 4 days after my expected AF to even test. The thing that tipped me off was that I had a cold and felt a little gaggy one morning. In the process of coughing up a lung, I gagged and threw up, which never happens. I thought, hhhmmm.. Maybe I am pregnant?! Tested the next day and sure enough! Day after I tested, all symptoms came full force
I'm currently hoping to get in and get some blood work done to check progesterone levels, etc. I'm nervous about MC again, but dr won't see me until 10 weeks, and because of his schedule and mine, that makes my first appointment Nov 16, when I'm 11 weeks. I'm hoping for a little more confirmation before then!

We we trying but had just had the miscarriage so were truly mourning. The date of the beginning of my miscarriage was is the same date of my lmp. Such a miracle and still so gut wrenching.

I think I will out our pug in a big brother t-shirt and show him the + test when we get home tonight.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I don't know how I am going to keep this quiet at work...we have a lot of happy hours and the bathrooms are far away so I am going to be running down the hall a lot.

Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: Well my name is Vera, I'm 25, married and I have a 2 year old daughter named Penelope. I was on the September 2013 board back then (mostly lurking, occasionally posting) but I joined the first FB group that was formed and never really came back until now. I'm a HUGE Harry Potter geek, I can't cook, & I have a weird obsession with vacuuming. I don't really know what else to say but I'm excited for this baby and excited to share it with you ladies since it's still a secret here!
@LadyHager I am due the 5th of June also. I teach too! The timing of this all is just perfect. I may only miss a week or maybe none at all and I will have my whole summer off with my precious baby!
Hello, my name is Taylor. Due with my hopeful rainbow baby June 11th, 13 days before my birthday this is a shock to me as I have endometriosis and wasn't sure if I would be able to have kids of my own.. I'm so excited! He knows as well already but none of the family yet. I seen baby sac on 10/12 and go on Monday to hopefully see a baby and hear or see the heart beat.
Hi all. First timer over here! Due June 11th. Super excited! I peed on the stick and didnt look. Ran downstairs and told my husband, "I peed on a stick..wanna look at it with me just in case?" We looked at it and said "Holy Cow!! Its positive!!" was not expecting that so soon, only officially trying for 2 months. But I am 32 years old and was worried being "so old" to be just starting. So very relieved and pumped to get that BFP!! (Only lingo I picked up on so far). Good luck to all you ladies and hope to get to know some of you well!!
@eyelinek -- I felt different too. I just knew!! About 2 days before my period due date, i just knew.Funny huh?! I don't have any symptoms now though..should consider myself lucky..6weeks in and feeling great..just feeling bloated(fat) already. How about you? Any symptoms yet?

How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I knew the first place my DH would go when he came home from work was to the bathroom, so I put the toilet seat down and set it on top. He came running out and immediately started jumping up and down like a kid.

Estimated due date: June 13th First time mom We started trying to conceive at the end of May I told my husband I was pregnant when he walked back into the bedroom after I took the second test. Anti climactic I just held the test up and said "I'm pregnant!" lol I live in North Carolina and am super excited to be finally starting motherhood at the age of 29.

How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I was planning to do something cute but I made a joke to DH about it a couple months ago and he said "please don't surprise me!" I asked him about it again a couple of months later and he was still very insistent that he did NOT want to be surprised. So when I tested and thought I saw a second line I just called him into the bathroom to have him double check for me and confirm the second line. So we found out at the same time really and no surprises. I asked him later if he would have rather I made a more cute, planned announcement and he said no he preferred how I did it and thanked me for not surprising him. )
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: DH and I are planning to announce to our families at Christmas. My birthday was the Oct. 14th so this BFP was the best birthday present ever. A little late but still the best! Hopefully nothing goes wrong. DH is super worried it'll be a CP or I'll MC. He keeps telling me not to get too emotionally invested yet. Yeah right, DH, yeah right. After all those months TTC I'm pretty emotionally invested.
Also, since my EDD is so late in June.... should I be on the July board instead? :-/

How did your tell your significant other (SO)? We had suspicions because I had been gagging and feeling off for a few days but i tested and asked him if he wanted to see something and showed him the test.
Anything else? : This will be our last baby. We always said if we were lucky enough to have two we would be happy so I am going to do my best to enjoy this and not be so freaked out this time round. (Not working very well but I am trying!)

Newlywed, new homeowners (decorating yay!) young mom, first time mom....bring it on 2016! I have not told H yet. He is at a show and supposed to be back in 2 hours. He knows that I've been very seriously feeling like I was pregnant and the tests were all negative until I finally took a First Response this afternoon. So freaked out.
I'm supposed to meet friends at a bar tomorrow, I have no idea what I am going to tell them! Not drinking will be a sure giveaway.

Maybe you could make up a cover story about how you're starting some new diet cleanse and it doesn't allow alcohol and caffeine while you "purify" your body or something. I don't know it sounds like something you'd see in a weird trendy diet. They just have to believe it enough to not be convinced you're pregnant.
I stopped drinking caffeine and alcohol when DH and I started TTC and I told everyone it was a diet I was trying out. Then when it had been awhile I just told me that the diet made me feel a lot better and healthier so I was sticking with it. No one seems suspicious yet.

I don't know why I said I was 35, I'm 36 and we just got married in August, because we are older we really didn't make it any secret that we would start trying right away, so most people will suspect even if I say I'm doing a diet. We are BIG bloody mary drinkers, so I think I am going to just order Virgin Mary's all night. It will be my drink!
I just ran out to Target to try to find a Cubs onesie because we are huge fans, but of course they are sold out. I bought a onesie that says "I love Daddy" that I am going to give H when get gets home. I am so glad that I can to do something special to tell him. This whole week I have been giving him play by plays in am about the test strips. Hahahahha....he thinks I have been making up my symptoms, so he's totally going to be surprised!

First timer over here! Due June 11th. Super excited!
I peed on the stick and didnt look. Ran downstairs and told my husband, "I peed on a stick..wanna look at it with me just in case?" We looked at it and said "Holy Cow!! Its positive!!" was not expecting that so soon, only officially trying for 2 months. But I am 32 years old and was worried being "so old" to be just starting. So very relieved and pumped to get that BFP!! (Only lingo I picked up on so far). Good luck to all you ladies and hope to get to know some of you well!!
Are you a first time mom? 3rd baby. We have 2 girls. 14 and 2. Yes, that gap is as crazy as you'd imagine.
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? We charted for one cycle and were successful.
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I knew the first place my DH would go when he came home from work was to the bathroom, so I put the toilet seat down and set it on top. He came running out and immediately started jumping up and down like a kid.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I lurked when I was pregnant with my 2 year old, but don't recall ever actually posting anything. I cannot wait for the crazies to come out.
First time mom
We started trying to conceive at the end of May
I told my husband I was pregnant when he walked back into the bedroom after I took the second test. Anti climactic I just held the test up and said "I'm pregnant!" lol
I live in North Carolina and am super excited to be finally starting motherhood at the age of 29.
Also, since my EDD is so late in June.... should I be on the July board instead? :-/

How did your tell your significant other (SO)?
I got the fur babies some big brother, big sister shirts. I also made a sign that said hi dad can't wait to meet you, June 2016 with the digital test inside the heart on the card. I'm so glad I recorded it.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: It's still really early, 3w2d so I'm trying to not get excited. The blood work came back at 25hcg I'll go back in next Thursday. Sooooo bloated already it's crazy. H&H 9 months to everyone!

How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? we weren't trying, we had a mc in july and decided that we were happy with the 3 kids we have. So this was a surprise bfp.
How did you tell your significant other (SO)? I haven't told him yet, his birthday is at the end of the month and I want to tell him then. So right now I am the only one who knows about this little angel.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself? I'm hoping I cant stick around this time and have a happy and healthy 9 months with everyone

I stopped drinking caffeine and alcohol when DH and I started TTC and I told everyone it was a diet I was trying out. Then when it had been awhile I just told me that the diet made me feel a lot better and healthier so I was sticking with it. No one seems suspicious yet.

I just ran out to Target to try to find a Cubs onesie because we are huge fans, but of course they are sold out. I bought a onesie that says "I love Daddy" that I am going to give H when get gets home. I am so glad that I can to do something special to tell him. This whole week I have been giving him play by plays in am about the test strips. Hahahahha....he thinks I have been making up my symptoms, so he's totally going to be surprised!
