@ACleanLife24 - let me know if you find out anything! I have been having the same thing happen. Only in one of my boobs though. I plan on asking my OB when I see him again on the 28th.
Yup same here. Only on one side and it's been itchy and stinging but doesn't last long. No leakage though!
I feel like my doctors answer for everything is "it's your muscles stretching." Haha. It's not really always his answer! But now that it seems more common than I thought it would be, I might just do some deep google searching to see if I can get an answer sooner than later!

I asked here because googling "itchy burning nipples" didn't get me too far

The worst part of it is I unknowingly must be rubbing or itching my boobs in public.
The other day my friend at work was like "are they itching again?" I was mortified that I had been apparently rubbing them without even knowing.
Haha it gets worse when you breast feed. I got so used to feeling my boobs to see which one I should use next to feed, I'm sure I did it in public multiple times!
While we are on the subject of annoying symptoms.. Has anyone else had an extremely sensitive mouth and mouth sores? I've been brushing and flossing as I should but I think I'm getting pregnancy gingivitis. :-SS

My dentist recommended using oracare mouth rinse and its helped my sore gums.
@jlavo888 I've had a small glass or two this pregnancy, but we don't have any in the house right now. DH offered to go buy me some of those classy mini bottle packs (I had this grand vision of sitting in the bathtub sipping a small glass), but then I decided against it.
@acleanlife24 I remember mine itched a lot with my first pregnancy (no bra pads required though; I never leaked pre baby, but if I tried I could get colostrum) and the ceremonial slinging of the bra across the room when I would get home from work was amazing. Now, like @oceanchild said, I couldn't tell you what is caused by pregnancy and what is caused by toddler teeth. Mine are so constantly sensitive that I slap a bra on first thing in the morning just to protect them and happily keep it on all day.
Oh, and if any FTM were not already aware, some of the sexier things that will occur sooner or later to your body... Your nipples (really, areola), if they haven't already, will darken - mine unattractively so already. It's for a good reason. Darker areolas make a better bullseye for poor sighted newborns. And then there's the super awesome linea nigra, this nice dark line most women develop either from belly button down, belly button up, or both directions. It lasts for about a year afterwards for a lot of gals.
Went grocery shopping and got some rainbow light prenatals and oragel mouth sores rinse!
@smushi I am sure I will cave at some point and have a glass... Maybe when I'm just a bit further out of my first trimester. I have broken many other rules... Hotdogs, deli meat, less than fully cooked steak. My nipples are already much larger and slightly darker. I have a faint linea nigra which is also for some odd reason growing a trail of peach fuz along it... Yay...
I swear my boobs are 2 cup sizes bigger already! They are as big as they were when I was nursing. I desperately need new bras but hate spending the money, however it is becoming clear I can't put it off any longer. They are also always itchy and irritated.
@ACleanLife24 it wasn't an indicator for me. I had some itching and burning and nothing. Then about 2 months later I hadn't had anything in a while and that's when I started to leak.

@exwk The pizza monkey bread came out good. It's a ton of bread though and we are not huge bread eaters but it's tasty. It would make the perfect appetizer if you had a bunch of people over for something. Also I had to cook it much longer than the video said to.

Dark nipples are beautiful too! Some of us are in the purple end of the spectrum before baby!

@2goofykids love my rainbow lite prenatals! They've never made me sick, but sometimes getting them down is hard because they are huge pills.
@ACleanLife24 yes to the itchy/burning nips! It's hit or miss on the day but when it's there I feel like I can't stop itching them.
Happy Monday, ladies! Super busy weekend filled with pumpkin patches, orchards, and bday parties. GL on all the appointments - keep us posted. And so extremely jealous of anyone that has today off. Enjoy it!!
just one more quick post then I'm heading out for my appointment...
I know a lot of us on here tend to be grammar police, so I'm sure you can appreciate this one. I had a friend on fb post a long happy birthday post to her 9 year old son. It was nice until I got down to where she wrote "he is full of laughs and little antidotes..." :-?

So hard to get back into the swing of things, but here I am back at work. Yikes. I feel like I missed so much even though I was trying to keep up last week.
DH and I ended up spoiling ourselves with a date overnight at a bed and breakfast (since our boys were with my parents). Oh. my. word that was amazing! So relaxing - like full bottle of wine without the alcohol relaxing. I missed my husband so much while I was gone.
How are all of you ladies doing? So excited for all of our appointments this week!!!

THIS. CONSTANTLY. I always grab and smoosh them to see which is fuller - after 5 years of this I feel like i do it completely subconsciously. I catch people looking at me strangely all the time haah

@oceanchild I just liked that page this morning! I want to try the apple cake recipe or apple dumpling recipe, not sure which but it was posted over the weekend.
My nips were definitely itchy and burny, and then my colostrum came in. I think when I was 17 weeks? I know some women don't have any leakage while pregnant and then others, it starts EARLY. lol.
So little man is still fighting a cold, but last night he didn't sleep much and started running a low grade fever. So of course, this mama didn't sleep much... I am supposed to be working on school work today. Maybe some baby motrin for little man will help him take a nap at a decent time for once. If so, then I'm napping too and will work on school when we get up. Dh is off today (but he worked all weekend) so he can help with little man while I study. Well...any one of those who complain about gender disappointment need to go through what I'm feeling right now.
Everything that the tech could see looked good. But she couldn't get a few pictures, and of course because we want to know what Bean is, baby had its legs crossed. I have to go back in a couple weeks (the tech said by 24 weeks) so the tech can try to get the other pics, and maybe we can see something then.
I have to admit it's kind of heartbreaking, only because DD did the same damn thing to me. What are the chances of it happening TWICE!? It doesn't help we had to stop at my mother's to pick stuff up and she was laughing in my face because she is adamant that we dont need to know what it is. So that just upsets me even more. I know a lot of this is irrational hormonal sobbing for me and i will get over it, but it feels like someonelet go of an untied balloon, and I am just dissdisappointed to not know.

So does that mean you're finding out around Thanksgiving @charley15? Because it sounds like you have a little turkey on your hands (sorry, couldn't resist and hope that makes you giggle a little). I'm kind of nervous the same thing is going to happen to me since everything about this baby is unexpected - he/she is going to make us wait until the bitter end I can feel it.

Oh man, @charley15! That's so disappointing! Go ahead and cry! At least you get to go back in a couple weeks and see Baby again! Hopefully he/she will cooperate this time!!
Married 7.29.05 :: DD1 5.11.10 :: DD2 1.23.13 :: Baby Boy due 3.13.16!
Ladies, TODAY IS THE DAY! Hoping for a big and healthy baby! And if course if little stormageddon wants to cooperate and clue us in as to what we're exoecting, I would certainly be excited, but not getting my hopes up too high.
Can't believe it's been 4 weeks since my last appointment already!!!! Ahhh!!!!
Agh the itchy nipples started Friday for me. Its so awkward to be in public and to make it not so obvious that your clawing your boob!
I'm so itchy too!! I don't know how to hide it and I work in an office with mostly men. I have been trying to itch them with the edge of my desk but i don't think i'm hiding it too well.
Thanks everyone the turkey comment did make me giggle lol. My next appointment is the 20th but the doctors office may call before that to schedule me in. Baby was on its hands and knees with its legs crossed behind it. I posted a pic in the ultrasound thread but even the tech was disappointed in her pics because she couldn't get a profile shot. Baby was moving around though and that explains why I haven't felt anything resembling a kick yet I feel it wiggling but no actual kick lol.
