Elijah Alexander EDD: 10/08/2015 DD: 10/08/2015 8lbs 12.3 oz 21 inches
This was the first time out of three deliveries now where I did not have to be induced. I was scheduled for an induction for Friday but he had other plans!!
I started having contractions the day before at 4am and they were 7 mins apart and lasting about 1 1/2. I knew they were different because when I got into my nightly bath they just kept coming. I still wasn't entirely convinced. But everything was different the pain was different, my reaction was different, even the way I slept. I just felt different.
I had an appointment that day so I just waited to go in in the morning to see where I was at. Well I didn't have much change from the week before. 2 1/2 cm and 20% effaced. I couldn't believe it. But I still felt in my heart I was having that baby today!! My contractions never stopped. Finally around six at night my contractions got to 5/6 mins apart and lasting exactly 54 seconds. I watched the baseball game and arrived at the hospital at 11:11 pm.
At the hospital I was 3cm but 70% effaced. Contractions stopped coming timed and I thought I was going to be sent home! Then back labor began!! Oh the pain!!! I can't even begin to describe it.
They put me in many positions to get him off my back but the back labor continued. Two hours later I had moved to a 6 and 80%. They admitted me.
I continued with the back labor until I was 7 1/2 cm and 80% effaced when I finally gave into the epidural. I was very proud of myself! After two more hours my water broke on its own and I was 10cm and 100%!!!!
I hadn't had a baby for seven years so my doctor prepared me telling me that it might take a while longer because my body was back to first time labor state. I started pushing and an hour later he crowned. His face was coming out sideways and up.. I actually tore at the side and top of my vagina. Once they got his head out he some home contorted his body the exact opposite way!! He was really trying to hang on for dear life!! Haha!
I am very happy that I wasn't induced and that he came on his own terms. I went into this with no expectations and no plans. I went with the flow of my body and ultimately even though I experienced WAY MORE PAIN then any of my prior pregnancies I think it was the best experience. We are warriors ladies! Sending baby blessings and love out to all my October moms wherever you are at in your pregnancy.
Deacon Patrick Finnerty surprised us 17 days early on 10/9/2015 @ 3:51am weighing 7lbs 3oz and measuring 19in long. He's perfect and we are SO in love!!!
This little lady would not lock into position for weeks so I had a planned c-section for Friday morning. In the O.R, the ultrasound showed her suddenly head down so they induced me. I laboured slowly from 8am (or it felt slow to me) and with two quick pushes (less than 5 mins) she came into the world peacefully. She is perfect and we are so thrilled for her to complete our family of 5!
He came 4weeks early unexpectetly..my water broke at around 22:00 on thursday 10/01/2015 while i was watching tv..rushed to the hospital where they observed me and administerd antibiotics and planned to induce because i wasnt getting into labor...my labor contractions started saturday 1500 and with two big pushes he was out at 3:20 sunday morning... We love him soo much...he is a such a great blessing to us...
Emmelynn Nicole Jablonski 23 hour labor- 1.5 hours pushing EDD: 10/1/15 DOB: 10/10/15 7lbs 11oz 21 inches long She's perfect, she makes the funniest little faces ever! She got her first bath and absolutely hated all but the hair washing lol.
We welcomed Vivian Rose on 10/05 at 6:02pm. This is my second child. I started having labor contractions when I went to bed on Sunday night. They were a little more uncomfortable than my Braxton hicks at first so I thought they were still just Braxton hicks. Did not get any sleep that night because they were getting close together but then they started to get painful. The pain was all in my lower front abdomen, no back pains. Was similar to menstrual cramps but a lot more uncomfortable. By 5:30 I called the doc who told me to just come in and get checked. My mother in law came over to watch my 3.5 yr old and then we were at the hospital triage by 6:30.
When they checked me I was 3.5 cm dilated. They watched me for another hour then decided to admit me. By 12:30 labor pains were pretty intense and all in the front. I was 5cm at that time and they gave me my epidural. I progressed on my own to a 6 and then they broke my water and have me a bit of pitocin. Things started to move quickly at that point and within a few hours I was a 9. That's when I felt little girl in the birth canal. She was descending quickly and I started to feel the urge to push. Doc checked me and I was a 10. I ended up pushing for 22 minutes which was so much better than with my first when I pushed for 1.5 hrs. I had a previous episiotomy scar which was preventing her from coming out so they snipped me again and I ended up getting a second degree tear down that line. All worth it though! I have a very healthy and hungry breastfeeding baby. Such a miracle! You ladies can do this! Your body knows what to do:)
Fern Ann was due on 10/7 and arrived on 10/10, 8 lbs 13 oz and 21.5".
I woke up to strong contractions around 2:30, woke DH after an hour, showered and got to the hospital around 4:45. They squeezed in a partial epidural right before I started pushing and baby was out and in my arms at 6:27. I labored with my son for over 2 days, so while it was much more intense, a 4 hour labor was pretty awesome! All is well! Best wishes to you all.
Welcomed our newest baby boy Cole Hendrix to the world at 3:03p.m. 10/10/15 (EDD 10/5/15) 6lbs 12oz 18inches. After laboring at home for 9 hours we went to the hospital and I was 6cm dilated. I got the epidural when I was 7cm and was completely dilated within a couple hours. He came out occipital posterior but I only had to push for an hour. (My first who was OP I had to push for 3.5hrs) He required some blow-by oxygen but stayed on my chest after birth. He's latching on like a champ and such a little miracle.
Ezra Simon was born 10/9 at 3:38am. EDD: 10/10 After 32 hours of labor he was born via csection because he was backwards and unable to turn. 6lbs 15 oz. and 20 inches long..Ezra is a healthy beautiful boy. My husband and I can't wait to start our new life together as a family
Dean Rodney EDD: 10/10 Arrival Day: 10/9 Born vaginally a 12:08 am 20+ hrs of labor, 1 hr active pushing. Weight: 8.2 lbs Height: 21 inches We are absolutely in love, let the sleepless nights begin.
After one long labor (and pregnancy :P) my little Maisie Grace made her appearance one day early. She was born happy and healthy weighing 7lbs 11oz at 12:13 pm on October 9th. We couldn't be happier!!
Phoebe Mae was born 10 days early on 10/9/15 at 7:29 pm weighing 5 lbs 15 Oz and 19.5 in long. She was born via c section after being induced for high blood pressure. Was started on pitocin but never got past 6 cm in over 10 hours. It was the best decision I made, turns out, the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck 3 times, and doctors said it would have ended up in emergency c section anyways.
Rory Raymond was born on October 8th at 1:42pm via c-section. 6lbs 15 oz and 19 inches long. He is so beautiful and we're so thankful he's here to complete our family of 5!
Cameron Phillip was born October 12th, 2015 at 5:24pm! He weighs 9lbs 11oz and is 21 and 3/4 inches long!
He really made me work for it!! My epidural did not take!!! And I had to push for over 3 hours to get this big boy and his big (but super cute) head out!
I cannot believe I was able to do this and am so thankful that God gave me the strength to push even when I thought I couldn't do it anymore!
Charly Elizabeth was born Oct 12 at 7:32pm 7lb 8oz 20 in long
Water broke at 6am...came to the hospital..no contractions they checked me I was barely 1cm and 80%effaced...they started inducing..checked again at 11am only 2cm dilated and 90%effaced... checked at 4 I was 3 cm....checked at 7 I was 4cm but she was still too high.....Dr confirmed c section....started prepping right away....epidural did not take, had to be put to sleep..........woke up and I was a MOMMY....so upset I didn't get to hear her first cry or that my mom and the daddy didn't get to hear either...I was all alone when I came to and seen her I fell in love instantly...
Our baby boy joined our family at 39 wks, and 6 days. Weighed 8 lbs, 9 oz, and was 21" long. He's absolutely beautiful.
I lost my mucus plug first thing in the morning. Contractions started almost immediately at 20 minutes apart, 10 seconds long. I was in inactive labor for 18 hours before heading to the birthing center. Measured 5 cm dialated. Active labor took another 18 hours. Water didn't break until a few hours before baby was born. Our new family of three was blissfully home in bed about 12 hours later.
Theodore Nicholas was born oct 12 at 2:43 am weighing 8 lb 7 oz and 20 in long. 39 weeks and 6 days
I started contractions on the 10th at 9 pm and was 5 cm until 5 pm on the 11th. Finally started feeling them stronger and called the midwife over. Progressed slowly until about 1am the 12 th when I was a 8. Was able to get in the birthing tub and in 3 contractions he was out! we are so in love!!
Jordyn Ellie was born 10/9 at 7:11 weighing 7lbs7oz!
My water broke while sleeping at 3am we went to the hospital but I wasn't having any contractions started pitocin about 8. Was still only 2 cm . Got an epidural but it only worked on my right side felt all contractions on my left. Ended up with a 4th degree cut . Not exactly my ideal birth but just so happy she is here it doesn't matter .
Leone Stefani was born October 11th at 10:28PM. He wasn't due until October 19th, so I was very surprised when I went into labor on October 10th. I labored for 36 hours, wasn't able to get an epidural because my platelets were so low and was so happy once Leo arrived. He was 8 lbs. 6.1 oz and 19 inches long. We feel so blessed!
Baby Allison was born 10/12 @ 7:22pm and 39 weeks 4 days. I am amazed that I was able to have an unmedicated 2nd vbac birth. It was so intense and I wanted to give up but was so close, also because she is a nice 8lbs 15oz and 21.5in long. Very different from her older sister who was my first vbac with epidural (we were being cautious because I'd never labored before and we didn't know what to expect) also my older DD is a curly blonde and baby sister has a full head of dark brown hair. Both of us are doing well, glad she is here and big sister is so excited. Also we have joined Team Pink coming over from Green.
We welcomed Annabelle Marie on 10/4 at 12pm. My due date was 10/11. My water broke at 6:30pm on 10/3 at home and we went to the hospital right away. By 8:30 the next morning I hadn't made any progress- I was still 3 cm and 100% effaced with only occasional mild contractions, which is what I'd been doing for a week and a half. My husband and I took a quick walk around the halls at about 9am and suddenly the contractions were VERY intense- checked and I was 7 cm! Then I felt the need to push so they checked me again and I was 10cm! I pushed for an hour and she was born right at noon!
As a FTM it was a VERY intense, fast experience but worth it, of course! I'm already starting to forget the pain somehow. I was able to go completely unmedicatd, which was my hope/plan...just got some numbing shots in perineum area when I was pushing- glad my dr gave me those! I hope you all have a great and safe birth experience!
I was induced Sunday night 10/11/15 due to high bp and contractions beginning at 38w +2d. Epidural failed and I gave birth naturally (not by choice) but luckily I was only in pain for 45 min or so before he shot out after 3 pushes!! So glad he is so adorable bc that was the worst!!
Elliott James Pruett, born October 6th, had to have an emergency c sections because his heart rate was dropping during labor. He weighed 7 pounds 6 oz, and 20 inched long
This new mama is thrilled to announce the birth of Baby Gus on Oct 11. He was so happy in the womb we had to be induced a week after his EDD. Gus showed his super hero status before arriving, fighting off the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. After a day of tricking mom & dad into thinking he was cool and calm, he's now keeping us on our toes - demanding plenty of attention, which we're only too happy to give him.
Thank you all for the interesting conversations and support over the last 9ish months. We wish you all lifetimes of happiness & joy with your newest family members!
John Asher was born 10/10/15 at 4:44 am weighting 8lbs 13 ozs. My water broke at 2:45 am my Dr asked that I immediately came in for a check as the day before the baby was still not in position. After an hour, he was still not in position so surgery it was. So glad that he is healthy.
Harper Lynn was born 10/02/15 at 00:01. I was admitted for induction at 11pm on 9/30 (my 32nd birthday) and pitocin was started at 1 am. I got an epidural after and doc broke my water at 8 am on 10/1, my EDD. I was finally 10 cm around 8:30 pm and labored down for an hour before I started pushing at 9:30 pm. I pushed for 2 1/2 hours and she finally came at 00:01 on 10/2. Her own schedule! She is perfect and we love her dearly. 7 lbs 14.4 oz 19 in long.
