39weeks on the nose, got induced today and after 13 hours of labor and 1hour of pushing our sweet Avery Brielle has been born! Sep 21 at 11:11pm weighing 8 pounds 7 ounces and 21 inches long!
Admitted to the hospital Saturday for high BP, released but returned Sunday night for overnight monitoring. Determined induction was necessary (we wanted a homebirth) I went all natural from 10 am to 11:30 when my BP spiked. Dr said I had to remain on my side in bed. Contractions were mind blowing so I freaked out because there was no way I could continue managing pain efficiently in bed.
I begged for an epidural at 11:45 and demanded they shut off the pitocin. Contractions were on too of each other and crazy! 12:00 anesthesiologist came in to place the catheter. As she was placing the catheter, my body started to spontaneously push the baby out. I only got the trial dose of epi and everyone rushed in to deliver. 3 pushes later she was here.
I am still saying I did it naturally because I got NO relief from epi because of the tiny dose! We didn't do any checks so we had no clue how far along I was!! I almost delivered the baby while having the catheter placed!
Also, I guessed post #327 for the birth announcement number post. I'm 323! Do I get a prize ;-)
EDD 9/24/15 Born 9/21/15 At 12:03 PM 6.9 lbs 19 inches long
I had a scheduled induction at 5 am on 9/21. I was 2 cm and 50%. Dr broke water at 7 am and contractions became very strong. At 10:30 I was 4 1/2 cm so they gave the epidural. As soon as they finished, they checked and I was 9 1/2 cm and ready to deliver. Pushed for 33 min and he was born at 12:03. He had low sugar due to my GD so we are hooked to an IV now but he's doing fine and we are so in love!!
Hadley Clare EDD 9/4 DD 9/10 Weight 6.10 After being induced at 5am labor was going great progressing slowly but surely and around 4 cm I decided to get an epidural. Unfortunately for me it went terribly wrong and my dermal sack was punctured and my entire body went numb my blood pressure bottomed out and then I had a flood of nurses coming in to keep me responsive. After being on oxygen for awhile my vitals stabilized and they were able to administer the pain medicine after the initial dose wore off. I had the anesthesiologist in the room with me for about 3 hours. After we got that all worked out baby's vitals started going crazy with the stronger contractions. They eventually pulled me in for a csection and we found out little girl had the cord wrapped around her neck twice. It was a rough surgery because I had to have a blood patch done on my spine. Thankful to have her here and healthy she was worth it all.
Well, daddy really wanted to play in a golf tournament on the 19th, so we all knew it would happen then. I worked a 15 hour day on the 18th, got home from work at about 10:30. I went to bed on the couch, and she was really active, so I tried to adjust the way I was sleeping. Not even 30 seconds later, she kicked hard and I felt a pop, I laid there and felt another pop, then GUSH!! I soaked through 4 towels trying to get out the door. I never expected so much fluid, and the docs were actually surprised at how much kept coming out of me. By 12, I was having contractions at the hospital (since I was GBS positive I had to get there after my water broke). I labored while we waited forever for the antibiotics, and there was another woman delivering the same time as me. I told the doc I felt like it was getting time to push, and she checked me to see that I was 8cm dilated already at 4am. By 5, I had the urge to push, so she checked me and said to go. At 6am, my beautiful daughter was born. The docs were amazed at how quickly my labor progressed as a FTM. Unfortunately, it went fast enough that I didn't get my full round of antibiotics for the GBS. My munchkin had a questionable blood test result, so they had to take her and monitor her our second night/third day here. Mommy is still stressed out, but they're running new tests and put her on antibiotics just in case. We should know around 5 today if she's in the clear and can go home.

Stanley Joseph EDD: Sept. 28 Birthday: Sept. 17 @ 6:16 pm 6 pounds 6 ounces 19 inches
My contractions started at 5:30 am that morning, 10 minutes apart. It was definitely different than anything I'd felt during my pregnancy but I assumed they would go away eventually, so my husband went to work and I lazed around watching The X Files. At around 11 am they were 3 minutes apart, but each contraction was less painful so I was sure if I went to the hospital they would just send me home. But my husband went ahead and came home, we packed up the car just in case and headed to L&D. We arrived at 1 pm, they checked me out, said I was 5 cm and told me I was having a baby today.
I held off on the epidural for awhile since the pain was manageable, and I labored in a rocking chair until about 4 pm. At that point my contractions were so intense that I didn't seem to get a break in between anymore, so they gave me the epidural at 4:30 pm when I was about 8 cm. My water broke at 5:00, and I hit 10 cm by 5:30 and started pushing. I was having a difficult time breathing as I pushed due to the constant cough I still have from the pnuemonia I had 2 weeks ago, so I had to be given oxygen during. Baby Stanley was born at 6:16 pm, and I've never experienced anything so amazing. The amount of love I have for that little boy is unbelievable.
My doctor kept me in the hospital longer than I would have liked due to the cough and breathing issues I was having, but Stanley did an amazing job at breastfeeding and I was lucky enough to not feel too much pain from my stitches. We're finally home and happier than ever.
Had crampy contractions all night that never went away. Around 6 am I woke my husband up and told him I think I may be in labor. Called my doctor and he said I could go in if I wanted. At that point I was in so much pain I was throwing up.
We live about 20 mi. from the hospital and with traffic didn't get there until 8:30 am. 9:30am doctor checked me and told me my cirvex and baby we're still too high and that I would probably not deliver until the next day. He suggested that I go home and labor there, or walk around and see if things drop. I was in so much pain I could hardly stand, so I told him I was staying.
They took me to another room where they gave me a painkiller that just made me super groggy. I slept a little, then the contractions got really strong. I told the nurse I had to pee, she brought over a bed pan and out came the bloody show. A few minutes later I told her I needed to go again, but befor she could come over I heard a pop and fluid gushed all over the place. At this point the nurses started to freak out because I wanted to push with every contraction. The doctor came in and checked me again, and I had dilated to 7cm in little over an hour.
I was immediately rushed to L&D where all of the nurses where getting ready to deliver. I asked for an epidural but they tried to mentally prepare me for natural birth. Luckily I was able to get the epidural, which gave me a chance to rest for a few hours. After a break and a long nap we started pushing, which lasted a couple hours, and Alina was born at 6:34 pm. So grateful for the fast action of the hospital staff, for my family and for my husband who stood with me the whole time despite his squeamishness. Most of all, grateful for my healthy little girl, even if she won't let me sleep at night
Addison Elizabeth EDD: 9/30/15 Actual bday: 9/23/15
Went in for an ultrasound on Monday 9-21 due to measuring smaller (35 weeks at 38 weeks). Doctors were assuming baby dropped due to measuring right on every other week until this point. It was discovered that I had low fluids and my OB scheduled an induction for that night, just 4 hours later. So after going back to work to wrap up and start my leave because I'm not back till January, I went to the hospital to begin induction. Was given 1/4 a piece of cytotec in my cervix, did get me from my initial 2 to 3 cms in 3 hours so we decided no more cytotec was needed and began pitocin around 2am Tuesday morning. Baby did not like this. Would have late decels following intense contractions as pit was increased. Started and stopped pit a few times while being flipped 6 million times keep her heart rate high during contractions. Water was broke at 9am on 9-22-15 and contractions started coming about 1 minute apart and were so intense. Opted for epidural. Great experience. The anasthesiologists do gods work. Didn't feel any pain of any sort after having it placed, and if it got close to where it did they would redose. Got to 5 cms and had some hope but stayed there ALL night and into the morning. Due to water being broken for more than 20 hours, they came in around 4am to fell me that a C-Section is scheduled and started immediately getting ready. She was born at exactly 5am this morning weighing 6 lbs 8 oz and 19 and a half inches long and it s absolutely beautiful and I already am completely in love with her! Although a C-Section was not part of my birth plan, it ended up working for the best and although very painful, was very effective as I would have worried about her heart rate in the birth canal.
Ladies who haven't had their babies yet, good luck! Such a beautiful experience. Everyone that has, we did it We are all amazing beings!
I made it to my sister's wedding on the 12th, got home and into bed at 1:00 am, and woke up at 4:30 am with contractions! 44 long hours later, our precious little girl was born
EDD: 9/16/15 Birth date: 9/15/15 6lbs 5oz 18.5 inches long
I lost my mucus plug 6 days before giving birth. The days following after I lost it, I was having sporadic painful contractions which landed me in the hospital 2 days in a row but they kept sending me home insisting my contractions were not close enough to be considered "active" labor even though I went from completely closed to 1 1/2cm dilated in a short time. The next day which was the day before I gave birth, I had my 40 week check up appt which was difficult for me to get to considering the pain I was in was increasing but my Gyno did not want to induce me and wanted things to happen naturally because I dilated another 1/2cm so he reassured me things were moving in the right direction. Finally, that night into the next morning the pain became unbearable. I could not sleep, lay down, walk etc and contractions were still sporadic so again, I was under the impression I was still not in active labor. It wasn't until the pain became intolerable that I forced myself to get to the hospital where I was told I had dilated to 6cm within the last 9hours. It was at that point, my doctor induced me and broke my water because of the pain I was in to speed things up. At 5:32pm on 9/15/15, I was blessed with the most beautiful perfect baby girl I have ever laid my eyes on! Every ounce of pain I went through from the days before her arrival was worth it! She was worth everything.
Ansleigh Rose Madden Due date: 9/20/15 Born: 9/12/15 @ 11:03am Weighed 7 lbs 11 & 1/2 oz 21 in long I went for my 38 week check up and the doctor said she recommended an induction because of my high blood pressure and gestational diabetes. She thought it would be best to induce me before 39 weeks which was 2 days away. Well from Thursday to Saturday morning they did everything they could to get my labor going but I was only dilated 2cm by Saturday morning. So she comes to my room Saturday morning and says she sees this ending in a c-section any way we look at it because my pelvis is small and she thought the baby would be big. So my husband and I decided we would do a c-section. It really is something that you think only ever happens to other people. It never even crossed my mind that I would have to have one. But everything worked out amazingly and God really blessed with wonderful OR staff and nurses that took great care of me. I'm almost 2 weeks post partum and healing up great! And my baby girl is absolutely precious! I never knew I could love somebody so much! Or that I could love my husband anymore than I already did! He's been amazing!
Samuel Dean EDD 9/22/2015 DOB 9/21/2015 @ 0353 6lbs 15oz 18 1/2 inches
Scary delivery Scheduled for induction on 9/22, water broke early morning 9/20. After 22 hours of labor, 8cm 90 percent -2. Began to hemorrhage, baby's heartbeat was tachy 185 bpm. Ended up having an emergency csection. Baby had the cord wrapped around his neck and body, my placenta began to detach. It's been a painful recovery. Samuel is doing great. Has a great latch. In love with my little blue eyed (hope they stay) baby boy.
Scarlett Mae! Due date: Sep. 20th Bday: Sep. 23 9:42 am 8lbs 21 1/2 inches
Very successful induction! Got to the hospital at 8:30 started cydotec(sp?) pill. Went from 3 to 4 cms. Started pitocin at 2:30 slept through contractions until 6 when they started getting bad. They lowered pit and broke water. Instant my water broke it was really hard contractions. Labored in bed until 9:35 ish. My body started pushing. The doc thought she had more time but once she got there I pushed once and her head came out pushed again and she was out! One contraction and she was born!! So awesome. No epidural so thank God for a quick birth bc toward the end I wasn't sure how much longer I could go on. She's perfect. A little trouble with breastfeeding but we will get there. Good luck to the mamas still expecting. All the pain is worth it:)
We saw our OB Monday morning bc I was now 40wks +2. Baby looked great and fluids were great. I'd had a couple more painful BH that morning but was trying not to get my hopes up. The plan was to go to the hospital at 5pm that night to induce anyway.
Around 1pm I decided to start timing contractions and decided these were feeling real. By 3 I finally agreed to go to the hospital. I'm glad I did! By the time we got there and checked in they were getting fairly strong and 3-4min apart. We got to our room and at 3:45 I was already 5-6cm! Things progressed quickly, I got an epidural at 5, water broke at 6:15 and the nurse checked me. She was shocked I was already complete and baby was at +2! We started to do a practice push and she stopped me bc he was coming out! Finally the doctor arrived and in one push and half a contraction Beckett arrived at 6:36pm!! I was shocked and thrilled. This time I giggled as I pulled out baby and held him for the first time. Love him soo much and Big Brother seems to like him so far. Good luck Mommas!
Jonah Charlie Arrived 1.56am on 25.09.15 his due date 9lb 6oz
Terrifying labour. Was told at my 36 week appt that baby was engaged. Waters broke on 24.09.15 at 7.30pm. Came to hospital and was shocked to be told baby was breach and by then I was 4cm dilated with really hard contractions. Got brought straight to theatre for an emergency c section. I got quite ill during the op as my blood pressure kept dropping. I was vomiting constantly. But I'm now back on the ward with my little boy and my other half and I have to say it was all worth it. I'm so in love right now

At exactly 39 weeks I was scheduled to be induced due to my gestational diabetes. I kept hoping I would go into labor, but no such luck. On Tuesday 9/15 my husband and I arrived at the hospital at 8 pm. We did all the boring paperwork and they inserted the cervidil. Contractions started almost immediately. I was a 1 when I got there and after a long night of contractions I was a 3 at 5:30 am. They removed the cervidil then and started me on pitocin at 6. 6 hours later I was finally at 6 and my doctor was hopeful that we'd be delivering soon since I'd been progressing so well. After 4 more hours my epidural had worn off and I hadn't made any progress. I was in so much pain and had gotten a bacteria. We discussed our options at this point and decided it would be best to do a c-section. So about an hour later I had been wheeled into the OR and my second epidural hadn't even worked. Neither did the spinal. So they ended up having to put me under. My handsome little man made his entrance at 5:25 pm and once I finally got to meet him I was instantly head over heels in love with him!!!! He's had a rough start, but he's my little prince and I couldn't be more proud!
We are all in love with our little sweet girl! Started labor 4:15am and had her at 3:49pm that same day. Happy with a 12 hr labor since last kiddo it was 38.5 hrs. I opted for an epidural and very happy with the process. I feel like I'm recovering quite quickly and we are getting into the swing of things at home. Congrats to all the mamas that have given birth so far and best wishes to those mama's that will give birth anyday xoxo!!
Started feeling contractions at 9 am on the 23rd, went to the hospital at lunch time and was sent home as contractions were 10 min apart and this wasn't considered active labour. Contractions increased around 12 am and we're coming every 3 minutes, lasting 45 seconds. shortly after my water broke and we headed to the hospital. Contractions were coming in fast and due to a road closure we stopped at another hospital as I feared we wouldn't make it. I was checked at the hospital and was 5 cm dilated. 3 hours later and after a painful natural delivery, my beautiful baby boy was born. I love him so much and just happy he arrive safely and in good health at 4.55am. Thank you Lord!
Went in for a scheduled check and ultrasound at 9am on 9/24 and did an NST first. Baseline was barely 120 and my cervical check showed about a 3cm dilation so my doctor skipped the ultrasound and decided to send me over to the hospital to be induced. Ran home to get my bag and husband and got into triage by 1pm. Another check still showed 3cm so my midwife decided to try sweeping my membranes and sending me walking for two hours to avoid having to use pitocin. Took a walk to get some lunch and barely made it back. When I got back up to triage at 3pm my midwife was in a meeting. Waited for her about 40 minutes and finally got checked and was at 6cm and ready for an epidural. They admitted me and wheeled me down the hall and checked me again 10 minutes later to find I was already at 8/9! Barely had time to get that epidural and then was finally able to relax. Pushed 6 times and little man was out!
His two big brothers Rowan and Weston are very excited to have him here.
So happy Wyatt is here safe and healthy and came into this world like the cowboy his name implies.
EDD 9/24/15 Born 9/25/15 at 1:27 AM 8lbs 8oz 20 3/4 inches
Went into the hospital 9/24 at 6am to be induced. Started pitocin around 6:30 and broke my water around 11. Shortly after I was having strong contractions basically on top of each other and was at 4-5cm by 2pm when I opted for epidural. Best decision ever!! Slowly progressed and epidural kept wearing off even though I was keeping on top of it, so frustrating!
By 10pm we were ready to push and by this time I am pretty sure I could feel everything. After 3.5 hours of very painful, frustrating pushing my beautiful baby boy was born! Unfortunately I had a fever (102.2) during the end of delivery and passed it to the little guy so, he is in the NICU for at least 48 hours with antibiotics just to make sure he's okay.
I can honestly say labor was way worse than I could've ever imagined, but I supposed the over 3 hours of pushing didn't help. Ended up having to use forceps to get the little guy out and come to find out his hand was up by his head the whole time which probably didn't help the situation. I love him so much though and he is absolutely perfect, still can't believe he is mine!
Allison Rylee Edd: September 16th Birthday: September 22nd
So I am going to preface her birth story with the following. I am a first time mom, and prior to labor I had never even experienced a menstrual cramp. And boy was I unprepared for what a contraction felt like. Lastly, I was scheduled to be induced 9/22 at 7pm because I was overdue.
Anyways... On Monday (9/21) at 2am I woke up out of my sleep, and just felt weird. So, I got up went to the bathroom, and I lost my mucus plug. Followed by the bloody show. I didn't think too much about it because people had been telling me labor could be hours or days away, and at the time I had no contractions. At about 2:30am I started having contractions. After 4 hours of contractions that were 5 minutes apart lasting each for about 40 seconds we headed to L/D. I got to labor and delivery at about 6:30am and when they checked I was only 2cm dilated. They asked me to walk the halls for an hour to which I did. Still I was having contractions. After the walking they checked me again and I was still only 2cm dilated. So, at 10am the nurse came back and said the on-call Doctor was sending me home to labor at home. Needless to say I was livid. I was in pain and didn't know how I was going to manage at home. So, I went home and labored. Nothing I did made them lessen or go away. I was miserable to say the least. By Tuesday 9/22 I was done... Contractions were every 3 minutes for about 1.5 minutes. I was in tears and I couldn't figure out why my underwear seem to be soaking wet after only a couple hours throughout the day. At the time I thought maybe it had something to do with the contractions and my bladder contracting. (Clearly I was out of it.) At 2:30am on Tuesday after 24 hours I went back to labor and delivery because I just knew they would keep me now. Sure enough I was 6cm dilated by now, and my water was leaking, so they had to keep me. At that point though I felt like the hospital was moving at a snails's pace and I was still hunched over trying to breathe in pain. About an hour later I was in a room getting, getting admitted, signing papers, and consenting to a whole lot of idk what to be honest. I opted for iv pain meds initially because the anesthesiologist was in another room. And to be quite honest I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to get an epidural because everything seemed to be taking forever except of course my contractions... After I received the pain meds I took a nap and woke up about 30 minures later to receive an epidural. The epidural did not hurt but they had a hard time getting it into the correct space, so it took about 30 minutes and multiple times of pricking me with the needle. After the epidural I felt amazing! I felt nothing. When it came time to push at 10:30am, I could feel the contractions in my butt surprisingly but the pain did not compare to the contractions I had experienced previously. Anyways several pushes and an hour later; my little princess east born At 11:30am! Even after 33 hours of labor I would do it all over again. We all love her so much

Cervidil 9/18 which led to a long night of what felt like a never-ending contracted back. Asked for IV pain meds at 6am and I had progressed from 1cm to 4cm so they removed the cervidil and gave me meds. For about 5 minutes I felt great, then normal contractions started that were so painful. They asked if I wanted an epidural and for some reason I was under the impression that you should wait so it wouldn't wear off, but once they told me it doesn't I was ready, and it was so amazing. They broke my water and after a couple hours I was at an 8/9 but baby wasn't very far down, so they had me in crazy positions on my side in the stirrups to try to get him down.
I got to 10cm but baby was still high so they sat me up in bed, and I got really nauseated and started throwing up. Checked my temp and I had a fever so had to get antibiotics. They kept telling me I would feel the urge to push, but an hour later I still had a fever and they checked and baby was ready, I just couldn't feel anything at all with the epidural. Started pushing at 3:30, the nurses had to tell me when I was having contractions. Doc got my hubby involved pushing my legs back toward my shoulders, he definitely wasn't prepared to be a part of the action! In between pushes my husband and doc were watching football, it's kind of comical.
Specialists were in the room to make sure baby was ok since I had a fever, and luckily he was fine. 2nd degree tear. Breastfeeding is going well, had a big weight loss at his first ped appt but went back the next day and he's gaining so we go back on Monday to make sure we're still on track.
Baby boy - Kelly Zachary
EDD: Sept 29th
DOB: Sept 23rd at 6:45pm
Weight: 8lbs 11oz. Length: 20.5in
I went in for Acupuncture treatment on Tuesday, woke up around 6:30am on Wednesday with mild contractions and what I thought was a my waters leaking. So after having breakfast and dropping my toddler boys off at their grandmother's, we made the 45 minute drive to my hospital.
Before leaving, my contractions were coming every 5 minutes but we're very mild. Once in the car, they spread out quite a but, so instead of trying to check in, we walked around the hospital for an hour. By 11am, I was having mild contractions every two minutes. I still thought it might be too early for me to be admitted, but I thought we'd give it a try.
After getting checked out in triage, we found out I was only able 1.5cm dialated and my waters hang actually broken. My contractions that had been coming steadily every two minutes spread out to every five minutes while sitting in the bed. So, they sent us away, saying to come back if they became closer and more intense. I'm pretty positive they didn't think it was really labor... But being my third time, I knew it was and that I was just a little early for the hospital.
So, we had lunch and then went to my sister's house nearby where I was able to relax, have a glass of wine and take a walk outside (the weather was absolutely perfect). Around 2:30pm, my contractions were back to every two minutes and were quite painful, so we decided to head back to the hospital, even if we had to walk around again before trying to get admitted, just to be there in case things progressed quickly.
We got back around 3pm and I didn't want to walk... I felt I was ready and was hoping I had progressed enough to get admitted. I'm positive the nurses in triage thought the opposite and were expecting to send me home again. But... About two minutes after changing back into the gown, my water broke! I was 5cm dialated and they got me back into labor and delivery.
Once there, I relaxed for a little while... Rocking in the rocking chair. I switched to sitting on the birthing ball so my husband could apply counter pressure to my back during contractions, which were now getting very difficult. Around 6:35pm, I started to feel pressure and after maybe two pushes, baby Kelly was born! His hand was up his his face and the cord around his neck, but he cried immediately and his heart rate never dipped, so other than freaking my husband out... It was no big deal.
Kelly is doing great and is very strong and healthy. I had just a small first degree tear and am feeling really good too. Nursing is off to a good start. We are home and adjusting to life as a family of five!
Good luck and best wishes to everyone still waiting.

Ryan James EDD: 9/24/15 Born: 9/25/15 8 pounds, 20 inches
On Thursday, my due date, I finally lost my mucus plug. I had a routine appointment that day and was dilated 1.5cm and 50% effaced. My doctor was talking inductions for the following week as I didn't seem to be making much progress.
Fast forward to 3am Friday the 25th, I woke up with regular contractions 7 minutes apart. By 6am they were 4 minutes apart and we headed to the hospital. I labored until 2pm when I got to 5cm and the contractions were unbearable, mainly in my back, and I got the epidural. I took a nap and by 5:30pm I was fully dilated and effaced and ready to push!
Pushing began and we quickly discovered he wasn't in a favorable position and his head was transverse and coming out at an angle. The epidural did nothing for my back pain, which was all due to his positioning. I pushed in every position imaginable! I wound up needing an episiotomy to get his head through, and baby was born at 8:09pm!
It was the hardest, most amazing, and rewarding experience of my life. My husband made the best labor coach and really took me by surprise with how invested and great he was, considering he told me my whole pregnancy he was squeamish and couldn't look haha. He was amazing!
Congratulations to all of the new mamas, and best of luck to those of you who have yet to meet your blessings! We are all superheroes.
Long story short, was scheduled to be induced on 9/21 if after my doctors appointment I wasn't further dialated to start cervadil. The last few weeks my blood pressure was elevated along with bad headaches so that is why we decided on an induction. Woke up that morning and I was very wet and wet through a pair of underwear. I thought I had broken my water but there was never a gush or pop. Fast forward to doctors appointment and I was 2 1/2 centimeters dialated and 60/70% effaced so they decided no need to go to be induced that day, skip the cervadil and would go in the morning to start pitocin. I mentioned that I was leaking a lot and she did two tests to see if my water broke. One was positive and one negative so the doctor sent me to labor and delivery to check for sure but she didn't seem too convinced and told me I would see her in the morning if I hadn't broke my water. Get to labor and delivery and they do the amino sure abd say: yep, it's positive you broke your water, your being admitted. I was shocked!!! Called my husband and he left work. Once he got there, they started me on pitocin because they were still concerned about when it had broken and didn't want in to cause infection. Felt some covtractions but nothing too unbearable. However, my nausea was terrible and the way my body was responding to the pitocin was not a good one. I had two bad times where I just started throwing up. They took me off of the pitocin to try to let me keep the pattern on my own but again they were still worried about time since we weren't exactly sure when my water had broken. They turned on again and I just dealt with the nausea. Got an epidural at about 4 cm. (had to try three different times which was terrible but...) that helped and from about 4 am had progressed to about 5 cm. body moved quick from 4 am until 7 am abd I was 7 cm. My doctor came in at 8 and said she would be back to check in on me because she had a scheduled csection. At that point I was feeling her head down there and countless times telling the nurse that I think something was happening, and she didn't seem to believe me and said just to wait, we could up the epidural, etc. finally after feeling her low, I told my husband to go get the nurse abd to tell her something was happening and I wanted abd needed to push. She came back and discovered that I was 10cm and ready to go. She called my doctor who hadn't started the csection yet and after about 20 minutes of pushing, my beautiful daughter was born. The nurses and doctors were pretty shocked that I had progressed so quickly abd only pushed for 20 min as a first time mom but she was ready to come!!! looking forward to hearing all of the other announcements about the September babies!!! Good luck to all those still waiting and trust your instincts!!!
Team green turned blue. Water broke in the middle of the night and we headed straight to the hospital (there was presence of meconium, which concerned us, but everything turned out okay). Baby boy and I had a very difficult labor -- the epidural stopped working on half of my body, so I felt everything on that side. Neel's heartbeat dropped with every contraction, so it was important to get him out ASAP. I almost needed a c-section, but thankfully my OB was able to get him out after just a few pushes with the assistance of a vacuum. I had post-birth low blood pressure (I nearly fainted twice and was very pale), so I ended up getting a blood transfusion and staying in recovery overnight.
Neel is the Indian spelling of the name Neil and translates to a beautiful sky blue color. We are very much in love with our little boy!

I was induced early Wednesday morning got the epidural took a nap and he was here around 4:22 that afternoon after 2 hours of pushing. Turns out part of my hymen was still intact and poor little guy couldn't get passed it. Overall Delivery was smooth and pain free. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. More power to you ladies who do it without the epi.
Georges Roman EDD: 9.30 Due date: 9.26 7h35pm 3kilos 50cm
I had vicious cramping/diarrhea since Wednesday and was told on Thursday to come to urgences to get checked out where they saw I was already 1cm dilated with regular contractions. They said we'd be going home as 3. (Cue in excitement from all.) After 7 hours in a prelabor room where my husband and I fell asleep soundly, the midwives sent us home since activity had halted.
Friday was uncomfortable with diarrhea increasing with the lovely addition of painful contractions in my rectum that occurred several times an hour. The rectum contractions got into a pattern of every hour and a half, which allowed me to sleep.
Saturday morning (8am) I woke up with regular contractions that started at 20m apart and increased up to 7m apart by 11am. We got to urgences by 11:30 am where they were 2m apart (I was 3cm) and was brought to a room to get the party started. Once I got the epidural I was happy as a clam, relaxed and sound as I waited for my body to open up. I got to 10cm pretty quickly but was waiting for my water to break, which ended up having to be done manually by the midwife. Thank Goodness for that epidural otherwise, holy ouch!
Around 7pm, after 20m of pushing (which I struggled with because I couldn't feel my lower body), I was handed my baby boy! It was a magical past few days...diarrhea and all. Good luck to the rest of the mommies waiting for their precious bijoux!
I had a scheduled cesarean Friday 9/18. The morning was fun and exciting. The unfortunate news is that he had fluid on his lungs so he was taken to the care unit immediately after our picture and kiss. He was there for 2.5 days with visitation. The first time I was able to visit was Friday night and it was incredible. My mother in law and husband were already down there with him. As soon as he heard my voice he opened his eyes and looked for me! It's a moment and feeling I'll never forget. I was able to pump so he could have breast milk from the beginning. We were discharged Monday and the feller is absolutely perfect. I'm so in love!
Emma Francisca EDD 09/17, Born 09/15 7lbs, 15 oz; 21 inches
Started having mild back contractions on 09/14; went to work as usual and had dinner out with my husband. We went to bed and around 1:30am my contractions woke me up. I started timing them and they averaged between 3 and 8 minutes. When they averaged between 3 and 5 minutes I woke my husband up and we decided to go to the hospital and get checked.
We arrived at the hospital around 5:30am and were sent to triage. I measured between 2 and 3cm and was 80% effaced. We waited an hour and I got checked again, had progressed to 4cm so was admitted to my birthing suite.
I absolutely hate IVs, I have panic attacks, so I held out as long as I could before getting the IV so I could get the epidural. It was 5pm and I was 7cm and having really painful back labor. The epidural was awesome! I relaxed until about 8:30, when my doctor checked me and said I was 100%. I started pushing 15 minutes later and pushed for an hour. Baby girl wasn't moving and the doctor said she was either too big for the space or she was stuck. He gave me the option of continuing to push or having a c-section and explained pros and cons of both. I chose c-section.
Baby girl was born at 10:07pm. I didn't get to hold her until I was in recovery but my husband was able to do skin to skin immediately. After I fed her for the first time my husband looked at my vitals and saw my blood pressure was 50/20. The nurses went into action fast and found I was hemmoraging. I didn't need additional surgery and the bleeding was stopped within 5 minutes.
Almost two weeks later, mama and baby are doing well!

At about 37 weeks I found out Jax was breech. Had a c section scheduled for 39 weeks. 2 days before c section Doctor did another ultrasoud to make sure he was still breech. The little guy turned and was in position. Section cancelled. Went in the next Monday 9/21 for my bio ultrasoud and nst to find out he turned again and was breech. Doctor rescheduled c section for the following afternoon. My precious little man joined us at 5:04 pm on 9/22. ❤️❤️❤️

I was scheduled for an induction on 9/17, the day I turned 41 weeks, because I had issues with high blood pressure towards the end of my pregnancy. I woke up at 2AM on Wednesday 9/16 to what I thought was my water breaking and a lot of bloody fluid/mucus. I ended up going to the hospital because I was not sure if it was my water and I was GBS positive. Turns out it wasn't my water and they had me go home to wait to be induced the next day, but as soon as I left I started having contractions. I had contractions all day Wednesday and all Wednesday night, I woke up Thursday morning and they were so painful I knew I couldn't wait for them to call me to be induced. I called and they told me to come back in. About 2 hours after I arrived I got the epidural, thank god!!! After over 24 hours of contractions I was so ready for it. The doctor had to break my water, and I received pitocin to speed things up. At about 9:30PM I started to feel the need to push, and by the time the doctor got to the room and was ready for me to start pushing I was dying!! About 10-15 minutes later my big baby boy made his way into the world, and I couldn't be happier! We are so in love with him!

Birthdate 9/22
Admitted to the hospital Saturday for high BP, released but returned Sunday night for overnight monitoring.
Determined induction was necessary (we wanted a homebirth)
I went all natural from 10 am to 11:30 when my BP spiked.

As soon as they finished, they checked and I was 9 1/2 cm and ready to deliver. Pushed for 33 min and he was born at 12:03. After being induced at 5am labor was going great progressing slowly but surely and around 4 cm I decided to get an epidural.

Everyone that has, we did it

I went for my 38 week check up and the doctor said she recommended an induction because of my high blood pressure and gestational diabetes.

Came to hospital and was shocked to be told baby was breach and by then I was 4cm dilated with really hard contractions. Got brought straight to theatre for an emergency c section.

Unfortunately I had a fever (102.2) during the end of delivery and passed it to the little guy
Edd: September 16th

I love my little man!
