Re: Randoms!

  • Argh!! I'm getting a haircut tonight so DH will have all 3 kids. LO always needs but never takes an evening nap so I'm letting her sleep on me to make things easier for him tonight. The two big kids are bored and I can't get up and entertain them and they're driving me CRAZY. This is also the time when I would be cleaning up the house and it's a huge mess but instead I'm under a baby on the couch whisper-yelling at my kids.

  • Does anyone use the Cloud baby monitor app in lieu of an actual baby monitor? We don't have one and we're thinking about using the app with an iPod instead. Just curious if anyone else tried it.
  • LO is obsessed with watching tv. She's currently doing tummy time talking to New Girl. I'm the worst.

My LO loves tv too and if it keeps her calm and focused during tummy time I'm all for it!
  • No libido here either...sometimes i'm thankful that hubby works in the evenings and im asleep when he gets home so I don't have to deal with it.

And my lo is mesmerized by the big shiny box too :-S
  • "Batshit helicopter parenting since 1976" Bahaha!
  • @Kbchavez23 have you tried using a bib/bandana for the excess drool? My l/o has excessive drool so I bought these cute bandana bibs at Target. Just a thought. Hopefully she heals quickly!
  • Ok, I stink. Like literally smell after giving birth. I've never been a sweater, but I feel like my deodorant isn't cutting it these days. Maybe it's the hormones. Anyone else? Has anything worked for you?

Oh yes. I feel like I smell like BO all the time. I think it is the hormones. I don't have any advice, but you are not alone!
  • I got your batshit crazy right here and DH is almost worse than me. I mean rice=poison, jarred baby food=nothing but preservatives, soap and shampoo=ruined skin for life and you better not wipe my baby with those soapy perfume filled baby wipes! Maybe I take it overboard...sometimes.

I've started planning the kids' Halloween costumes. I think I have them both figured out and I Can. Not. Wait. for someone to start a Halloween thread and see all the Littles dressed up!

I am excited too! We already have a costume for lo that goes with dh's and my costumes from last year. What are everyone's plans though? I feel a little weird about taking a 4 month old trick or treating since obviously he won't be eating any candy ;) I was thinking maybe boo at the zoo...
  • It's okay to eat honey while breastfeeding, right? I know babies aren't supposed to eat it. I just thought about it as I'm eating it in my Greek yogurt.

I'm excited also! I have no idea what to do tho. We're in a small town so there isn't much going on. The YMCA does a Halloween thing for kids, but what is a 4m old or us going to get out of that? I guess if we were invited to a Halloween party (a family party) we could do that. If its not balls cold out (last Halloween it was already below freezing at 28° F) we could just all hang out outside and do a cold weather BBQ and fire pit type thing in costume... :-??

Edited - it looked like I meant 28° BELOW, I just meant plain ol' 28° and had to re-word

  • right there with you all. Only way we can have tummy time without her screaming her head off
