My husband and I both have a queen bed to ourselves 90% of the time. People think we are weird because we usually sleep in different beds in different rooms. DH has HORRIBLE sleeping problems/insomnia so sharing a bed with me and three puppies (they are small breed dogs) just doesn't work for him. It makes him super grouchy and irritable. It used to bother me because I am a HUGE snuggle person, but now I too prefer it this way. We both sleep SOOOOO much better and our relationship is better for it.
Word @Parker16772 I made it without throwing up until last night - I've had nausea the whole time but thought I was going to make it free and clear. So today, officially officially second trimester, I'm magically better, right? Nope, Zofran in hand.

Grrr... Day 4 of school and I'm already getting pissed off. My boss (the principal) isn't here this morning- she is at a meeting at another district 1/2 hour away and won't be here till noon. She called me to tell me that our sub knows after lunch she has to go to the neighboring school to work after breakfast here. Ok... 10:00 the sub comes in (breakfast is done at 8:45) and says she doesn't know if she has to go there or not. I told her I just got off the phone with our boss and she said you knew you were to go to the school after breakfast. Well instead of LISTENING TO ME she comes back with "well no she didn't tell me for certain". And instead of getting off her ass and going to the other school (its across the street- 1 block away) to see if she is needed, "I'm going to wait here to see if she calls back and I can find out for sure". Meanwhile we may have a class that is short staffed because this twit won't walk over to the school! I'm just a secretary, not a damn babysitter of staff. There is NO INITIATIVE whatsoever! If it was me I would've written it down YESTERDAY, or if I can't remember I'd walk over and see if I'm needed. Duh.
Vent over.
ETA: This sub has been standing in my office for almost 1/2 hour now- doing NOTHING!!!
February Siggy Challenge- Post pregnancy indulgences
We would LOVE a king size bed, but our room is already pretty small, so I don't think it would work. We're already trying to figure out how we'll fit a cradle/bassinet thingy in there for the first few months of baby's life.
In other random news today - hubby served me breakfast in bed for my bday!!!! It was cereal, a banana, orange juice, and coffee. Super simple, but so thoughtful of him. He is not always the most romantic kind of guy, so this says a lot for him. And I just got my first Pumpkin Spice Latte (half caf) of the season. Such a great day so far!
I woke up today feeling awful but after my chiropractor appointment I felt great and actually worked out (only a walk but 1st time in 6+weeks) and I felt hungry! I made myself a 3 egg omelette. It tasted great but I was full after 4 bites.
My husband and I share a queen, he talked me into saving money on a mattress. I'm not impressed. It's already lumpy and hot and only 2 years old! Our next one will be a latex. (And I hope to buy it next year when we buy a house) My hubby sleeps hot and I hear latex helps with that. When we sleep in a king I feel like he's so far away, but I do like to spread out. I think it's cute when our kid crawls in with us, but I rarely let her because it becomes a every night thing, which is less cute, and we don't have the room... I'm torn about if we need a king or should stick with the queen.
So until this point I have had like No caffeine. I'm 12 weeks and the other day I had a white chocolate mocha. How much caffeine is okay????
1-2 cups - up to 200mg. My first kid is a no caffeine kid. He's hyper. My second kid is a 1-2 cup a day kid and he's hyper. No difference - in fact they are both very normal boys. This kid is a 2 cup a day kid (3 if I'm desperate and have a massive headache). Doctors/midwives will tell you the same thing. Please don't feel guilty and enjoy the caffeine as long as you can keep it down.

I worked at Starbucks during my pregnancy with DD. I was told 150mg-300mg was okay. A grande (and venti) white mocha only has 2 shots of espresso, each shot has 50-75mg. So you are fine. Also for those who worry dark roast coffee has less caffeine, while blond roast has the most. Also I went over the recommended amount somedays and my DD was healthy, big and 2 weeks late.
When I go to Starbucks I just google what drink I want to check the caffeine and all the drinks I've had are under 200 mg. Most of them grande in size and mochas.
Oh good lord please NO lol. I don't mind trying to direct the newbies though so they can have a better experience. I'd love to see some more faces around here to keep things even more fun than they are now and I think that some kind words go a long way when they might be stumbling a little at the beginning. Keyword: at the beginning. Then it's on to the tough love....
You think we will get pictures of people's kids "junk" asking if we think it is a penis or vagina?
Also, did I tell you guys that some lady next to me in the waiting room was like oh I just got an ultrasound and it's a boy, here I'll show you and hands me a picture of her kid's penis, ummm very nice?

We upgraded to a king with our tax refund AND I'M NEVER GOING BACK!! in fact, we have a spare full mattress that is getting put next to our king when this baby comes. DH and fur baby get the full. DD, myself and baby will share the king. DH is ridiculously hot at night and DD inherited that. Good times.

Just bask the the glorious fact that you no longer work there and don't have to deal with whatever crap it was you went through anymore! If you are obligated to answer a question, just do it briefly and then fuhgeddaboudit!

Had my NT screening this morning and baby boy looked good! He was fast asleep and no amount of poking would wake him up, hopefully that deep sleeping continues when he comes out (HA!)
We also found out my H isn't a Cystic Fibrosis carrier (I found out a few weeks ago I am) so that was amazing news.

I did. But it was jus hearing her voice, and it was a question about where I stored my computer in June because my old Assistant couldn't find it. My staff are also reasons I left- they just didn't get it, they weren't listening to me, and no one above me would do anything about it. My assistant is getting old and forgetful- she asked me several times within 15 minutes what I had planned on doing with the computer (back in June) and every time I patiently answered her-putting it in the storage room. So I get a phone call today asking where the computer is/was. My old boss even knew it was there- but she couldn't even remember (its been stored there for years as my supply closet wasn't big enough to store it without damaging it). My aide was/is just plain old worthless- but when I turned her in for not doing her job, I got told " she thinks she's getting picked on because she's black" and they were too scared to do a thing because of it. I'm not staying to do all the work of 3 people because 1 is stupid (for lack of a better word) and lazy/slow, while the other is forgetting/not hearing everything left and right. And I had no administration to back me up because my aide wanted to play the race card. I'm not racist at all- if you can't do your damn job you don't belong there. No one wanted to help me, I don't need them either.
In short, I was soo flippin mad because I've even left the job and still cleaning up after those two!

When you think everything at your appointment went all good but your dr calls and says "the nurse you had was new and forgot to get a second blood pressure reading before you left because yours was high (140/98). Could you get a new reading and also come in next week to get another one just so we can make sure it comes down?" I'm glad that my dr caught it and had me recheck. I did come down to 131/82 but high blood pressure runs on both sides of my family so now I'm nervous. Ugh. I'm just gonna sit here for a minute with this look on my face lol

I probably should cut back just a bit on the caffeine though. Thanks and I hope I don't either lol. I've been the one in my family who hasn't had to deal with it so I'd really like to keep it that way! Haha.
