My Dr. wasn't happy with the way she was not gaining appropriate weight at my last appointment on Friday. He then scheduled me to change my scheduled c-section from 9/10 to 8/31. She is absolutely beautiful! She has some minor issues but otherwise perfect.
Ainsley Jane arrived 8/28 after my water broke on its own 8/27. It was a long 25 hr labor and she gave us lots of scares with heart decelerations due to her cord being around her neck but she's a perfectly healthy princess! EDD was 9/5
Jason Isaiah Patrick EDD 9/11 Birthdate 8/31/15 6lbs 12oz 21inches
My water broke Saturday August 29th at 4pm as I was walking into the store. I picked my mom up from work which is right across the street from the store I was in. I was soooooo hungry so I stopped at Subway because I knew once I got to the hospital I wouldn't be able to eat. My boyfriend Jason was panicking because I went to subway. I finally made it to the hospital. I tried to do a natural Birth but the pain was excruciating so I got an epidural. 45 hours and 45mins later I had my lil handsome man. Yes!!! I said 45 hours of labor
Started having contractions at 9pm, labored at home until water broke at 11:25pm. Got to the hospital roughly before midnight and was dilated to a 4. Got moved from triage to labor and delivery. Finally got an epidural and went from a 6 to a 10 in 10 minutes. Baby was still too high to deliver so they let me labor for a while. Pushed 3 times and baby girl was born at 4:07a.m. and we are absolutely in love!!!
I was induced this am for history of blood clots and pulmonary embolisms. Long story short after 9 hours of heart rate drops and positions changes we finally maneuvered her away from her cord and 3 pushes later she entered the world. We are both going great. Mom, dad and big brother are in love.

Grayson Cash was born today 9-1-15. EDD was September 10th. He is 6lbs 15oz. And 18in. He was breach so we had a c section scheduled for Thursday, but when I went for my doctors appointment this morning my doctor said I was leaking a little bit of fluid and I'd probably be fine and make it until Thursday, but didn't see a point in risking it being this close so I was sent to the hospital and Grayson was born at 1:45pm!!
My phone will not allow me to attach a photo but I have pictures in Instagram @sarahnikai
This is a little late Emma Rose Ross was born August 18 at 3:36 am she was 6 lbs 12 Oz and 19 1/2 inches my EDD was actually today. she unfortunately had to spend some time in the NICU for respiratory issues and jaundice she is happy and healthy now my labor was 12 hours of awful pain epidural unfortunately sucked the doctor broke my water at 10pm because it wouldn't break on its own but she arrived a contraction and a half later I think like 4 pushes. just happy to have her here and home finally
I was induced and 12 hours later came my little man! Born at 8:09pm vaginally! He's the best thing that's ever happened to me! He was worth any pain and every push!
Joseph Peter Due September 11th Born August 31st 7 lbs. 9 oz. 21 inches
Sunday morning I woke up with painless contractions 2 minutes apart and baby wasn't moving as usual. With the contractions and active days he'd had just prior I wasn't concerned, really, until I lost my mucus plug. All that together made me call my OB, who sent me to L&D to get checked out. My blood pressure was elevated so she had me admitted to begin a long, slow, 2 day induction. I was given cervidil that night, and cytotex the next morning. Contractions were on and off every two minutes the whole time, so I missed my second dose of cytotex. While waiting for the contractions to slow enough for dose 2 my water broke on its own. At the time I couldn't imagine a pain that would make me beg for a needle in my spine. Or for someone to kill me. But it came. Contractions lasting up to two minutes apiece a minute thirty apart broke me completely when I heard I had five centimeters to go. My epidural was bliss. 5 stars. I pushed for 40 minutes. My L&D nurse was amazing- I wanted to squat but my legs wouldn't have supported me, so she put the squat bar in and had me rest my feet against it, then tied a sheet to the top for me to pull on. My arms hurt terribly now but it was so much easier for me to push that way instead of holding my knees. My OB was impressed by the trick.
Also, guys, eat when they tell you to. Leaving the bathroom after the nurse cleaned me up I almost fainted straight down.
Mommy, daddy, and Joey are exhausted but happy to have each other!
Elijah Joseph Edd: 9/18 Born: 9/1 6.63 oz 19.3/4" My water naturally broke at 7 am. Headed to the hospital and began active labour around 9am. Transitioned from 90% 2 cm to 100% 9 cm by 1030 Am. Due to the speed of the changes I didn't get an epidural until 9cm and fully effaced. Began pushing which the epidural helped. Pushed for 3 hours with zero transition. OB advised a c section since he had not moved at all. I agreed and they administered a spinal tap which didn't fully take away the pain of the contractions at first. It seemed to work until the began to cut. I felt it very clearly so they did an emergency anesthetic. Woke up to a perfect little boy. We are so in love and hoping to get home soon however my body doesn't properly heal from spinal taps so I will probably have to undergo another procedure to fix the leak and cure the headache. Prayers appreciated for a speedy recovery and praise for a very healthy boy who scored a 10 on the apgar scale.
Water broke as I was drying off in shower at 8pm, hard contractions started at 8:15. Got to birth center at 9:45 and was 6cm. Got in bath and he was born two hrs later at 1145pm. Home at 2am with our precious bundle of joy.
Contractions came on strong by midnight so we headed to the hospital and got there by about 2 am. I was 5 cm when checked. Received epidural by 4 am and when it was time to push, I pushed for 14 minutes and he was here. We are totally in love and waiting for big sister Peyton to wake up at Mom Moms house so Daddy can go pick her up and she can meet her little brother.
Alexander Ben 7:21am 7lbs 9oz Audrey Faren 8:39am 7lbs 2oz Twins due 9/13 Born 8/29 at 38 weeks exactly!
Short: Spontaneous labor with minimal augmentation culminating in unmedicated vaginal birth of twins in an OR.
Longer: Labor started aprox 9am thurs 8/27 and it was intense immediately. We labored at home as long as possible. At 1pm we made a very speedy drive to the hospital. The contractions were so strong in the car I thought the twins maybe born on the freeway. The hospital setting was new to me as Id only had home births before so what next followed may have been because I was so out of my element. Arrived at the hospital at 6cm-7cm then my contractions slowed down and my labor stalled at 8-9 cm for over 24 hours! We tried every natural means of getting contractions going again and I was starving and exhausted and determined to avoid a cascade of interventions but felt the time had come for augmentation of the labor. Our Dr tried gentle cervical stretching first and finally I agreed to a bit of pitocin. The pit made my contractions begin again and was increased over the next 12 hours but still I sat at 9cm dilation. So at 6:30am Saturday 8/29 we agreed to break the water on baby A and I was right back to fast hard labor immediately. I was taken to the OR for the birth, which is hospital protocol for twin births. The OR was set up for an emergency C-section and about 30 people lined the walls. I had to just shut my eyes and focus on the voices of my partner and midwife. I pushed good and hard for 25 min and our boy was born at 7:21am! He cried some and lay on my belly so the cord could pulse out. After his cord was clamped he latched right on to the breast which started the contractions that would bring his sister out. It's a strange sensation to be back in labor after pushing a baby out, but after some more good hard pushes, baby b, our girl was born at 8:39am. I reached down and pulled her to my belly where she stayed until the cord was done pulsating, then daddy cut her cord too. It was such an unusual birth for all involved! We all cried!! It was amazing and not easy and totally worthwhile. We have been blissed out for days! Alex and Audrey were full term and good weight and healthy and never needed the NICU and never left our presence. Breastfeeding them both has gone amazingly well. I feel so lucky!!
I went into the doctor on Tuesday and had a cervical check because I was suppose to go to a wedding 6 hours away that weekend and I wanted to know if I was okay to travel. To our surprise we found out I was 2cm dilated. On Thursday i went back and I was 4cm. My doctor told me I could not travel out of town.
I was admitted to the hospital on August 29 at 4pm because I was continuing to dialate despite not having strong contractions. My husband arrived back from the out of town wedding (he was the best man) at 2am August 30th. At 9am they started me on pitocin. At 4pm they were going to place an epidural and break my water. I was set on having an epidural since I found out I was pregnant. To my surprise I found out I had low platelets and could no get an epidural. My nurse said I was her first patient she had ever seen this happen to. I was totally not prepared for a non medicated birth and I was terrified. My doctor gave me IV pain meds that were suppose to "take the edge off" but could only be used until I was 8cm. At 7:30i was 6cm and they broke my water and at 7:55 Faye Oliva was born.... About 8 pushes. That was the most intense 25 minutes of my life.
I had moderately severe post partum hemmoraging which was pretty terrifying but baby girl was as healthy as can be.
My nurses and doctor were amazing, especially when I was so emotional about not being able t receive an epidural. I could not have made it through this without them (or the support from the ladies on the bump!). We are so happy to be home and start life with our baby girl.
Labor started Monday night and progressed rapidly, so much so that when we got to the hospital I was 9.5 cm! I had planned to try to skip pain meds and in the end was left with the option anyway. Checked in at 11 p.m. and babu was born by 11:29. He certainly surprised us by coming so quickly but it was a great surprise!
We went to the hospital Sunday evening (8/9) and ended up being admitted due to high blood pressure and protein in urine (Pre-eclampsia). I had been admitted 2 other times in the month prior, at first with just gestational hypertension then with the pre-eclampsia diagnosis, however each of those times my blood pressure was able to be brought back down with medication and I did not (nor did I ever have HELLP symptoms). Sunday night I was put on Magnesium for 24 hours (and had a catheter incorrectly inserted)- both not fun at all! When I was initially diagnosed with gestational hypertension my doctor scheduled an induction date for 37 weeks, the 3rd time I was admitted my doctor hoped to make it to 34 weeks- neither ended up happening... By Wednesday 9/12 my blood pressure was really high and not responding to any medication to lower it so that was it- the baby was going to be delivered that day. She was head down and I was dilated at a 1 so I had the option to try to induce but if we went that route my doctor felt there was a 50/50 shot that we'd need an emergency c-section, I could be in labor for 36-48 hours or longer and be on magnesium the whole time...we decided that a planned c-section would be the way to go...that way we wouldn't put any stress on the baby. Needless to say it was a stressful day but Sadie Marie was born at 4:28pm and as was small but healthy (I had 2 rounds of the steroids to help lung development on previous hospital stays and I am convinced that is why she's so healthy)
Sadie spent 18 days in the NICU gaining some weight and learning how to eat and maintain body temperature.
On Sunday August 30th Sadie got to come home and is doing great! We are so in love with our little girl!
Elliott Brian Speer 9/02 at 9:12am 6lbs 14oz and 20 in long Started my induction with medicine to ripen my cervix and after 24hrs of mild contractions that did not work I ended up having a c section. It wasn't my initial plan to even be induced but I totally went with the flow and did what was best for my little man and me. I couldn't be happier :x
Baby keys born at 7:47 am on 1/9/2015. Weighing 5lb 12. EDD 13/09/2015. Contractions started at 4:20am, arrived at hospital at 7:00am. She was born with me standing up in her amniotic sac with no pain relief. Couple of stitches needed but we are both doing well and settling in at home. Breast feeding really well.
Sophia Corrine EDD: 9/19 Born: 9/02 7 lbs, 19 inches Started labor around 3 pm on Monday and after 44 hours of natural labor, was given an epidural due to stalled progress. Baby was born bradycardic and became tachycardic with low blood sugar but has since been released from the nicu! Couldn't be more in love with her!
Oberyn Garza EDD 9/3/15 Date of birth 9/2/15 8 lbs 15 oz 21 inches long
After a delayed induction, baby decided he would come on his own instead! Started having strong contractions that were at first 10 minutes apart then 5 then 3. Arrived at the ER at 7 pm. I went through 20 hours of labor only to be stuck dilated at 9 for 8 hours and wasn't dilating any further. Baby was too big for me to push so I ended up having a C section that happened fast and went very smoothly. Happy to finally have my son with me. I can't believe I'm a now a mom.
Mila Grace was born on August 29th at 5:28 AM 8lbs and 1oz and 21" long! I had to be induced because of high BP and lots of protein in urine. We're both happy and healthy and everything went very smoothly. She is absolutely perfect and my husband and I are just so in love with our baby girl!
Woke up around 5:45am from cramping and back pain. Got out of bed to go to the bathroom and right when I got up it had felt like something dropped in my stomach. I ignored it because went away right away. When I got back into bed my cramping countined but so did my back pain (had it all through out my pregnancy) so I didn't think anything of it. My husband left for work around 7:00am and I was still awake with the cramping. I decided to walk around and drink water maybe thinking it would stop.... 7:50 came around and I had my husband come back to home and we headed to the hospital. When we got there I was already 6cm dilated!! Around 1pm they broke my water and baby girl was born at 4:36pm! Weighing 8lbs 2 oz and 20.5 inches long!! And 100% perfect!!
We had to schedule an induction for medical reasons. On August 30, we were instructed to come to the hospital at 8:00pm. The following day at 6:00pm, I was finally dilated to 10cm and we were ready to start pushing. I tried pushing for an hour straight but little one didn't want to come out. The doctor even tried a vacuum. The baby's heartbeat was running too fast and we couldn't let it go any faster so we had to do an emergency c-section. At 7:47pm, baby Olivia was born into the world at 8lbs, 2ozs.
I had a normal doctors appointment and NST on Tuesday morning at 38 weeks 6 days. Doctor checked and I was 3cm dilated and 90% effaced. Due to prediabetes, the medication I take for it, and the risks associated with both, we agreed that an induction at 39 weeks was the best option. So my induction was scheduled for Wednesday and we had to be at the hospital at 5am.
Neither my husband or I slept well that night and actually ended up sleeping through our alarms that morning! I joked that we must be the only parents who would be late to their own child's birth. Thankfully, we were only a few minutes late and I was able to get admitted no problem.
The nurse broke my water and started pitocin about 6AM. My doctor came in around 9AM to check my cervix again and go over any information or questions I had. By then I was 100% effaced and had progressed from 3 to 4cm.
By 11am I was feeling contractions consistently. I had a couple that were really painful out of nowhere, I was feeling overwhelmed by a number of things by that point, and decided to get some IV pain meds. They were fantastic and kicked in pretty much immediately. I was still able to feel my contractions but they weren't nearly as bad after that.
Unfortunately, the IV meds stopped having any affect after a couple of hours and I couldn't get any more for a while so I asked for an epidural. The epidural was awesome. The nurse shut off the pitocin for half an hour (to allow it to clear out of my system, hoping that restarting it would change how it affected my labor)
At about 6:45PM or so, after 14 hours of laboring with the pitocin, doctor came to check my cervix again.. I had not progressed anymore. 1cm in 14 hours, that was it. Disappointed is a total understatement. I ended up having a c-section. Initially I was absolutely terrified. I cried out of fear from the time they told me I was having a csection to the time I heard that first cry from my Remy, then I cried out of joy. My husband was the most amazing support person, I am so grateful for him and how wonderfully he treated me.
This was a crazy wonderful terrifying day but in the end I have my baby Remy and he is happy, healthy, and absolutely perfect in every way. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Wade Christopher EDD: 9/12 Birthday: 9/2 at 2:32 pm 7 lbs 5 oz, 19.5 inches
I went in for my 38 week appointment and I was 6 cm and 90 percent effaced, but not in active labor-- I was having sporadic contractions for a few days. Since I've also been dealing with high blood pressure, so my doctor announced that there was no reason to wait, it was time for baby. I went to the hospital and my doctor met me to break my water.
Everything after that happened in a whirlwind. Contractions started immediately and grew in intensity with each one. After an hour I was 8 cm and begging for the epidural, which I'm now convinced is the single greatest invention of all time. An hour later I was talking to the cord donation nurse about the paperwork and I felt a huge amount of pressure in my bum. It was already time to push! After about 20 minutes of pushing Wade arrived.
I cried. My husband cried. It's been an incredible day so far. So excited for all of you ladies!!!
Ve Ann EDD: 9/3/15 Birth Date: 9/2/15 6 lbs 11 oz, 19.5 inches long
On Wednesday morning at 1:15 am I went from having zero contractions to having them every 5 minutes for 1-1.5 minutes each. I labored at home for about 2.5 hours before I called my OB, and arrived at the hospital around 3:30am, I was 5 cm dilated. Soon after we arrived they got closer together and I ended up laboring for 12 hours before deciding to get an epidural. I was so exhausted because I was very active on Tuesday, was swimming for a few hours with my family, went food shopping and didn't really do anything out of the ordinary. I didn't even get a chance to sleep at all before my contractions started because my boyfriend and I were watching a movie on the couch but having contractions that were 2-3 minutes apart that were lasting for 1-1.5 minutes each for that long made my hopes of doing a natural labor very unattractive as I was so tired and didn't want to end up not being able to vaginally delivery our baby.
Once I got the epidural I was able to get some rest and let my body progress. I went from 7 cm to 10 cm in 2 hours and was told to do some "practice pushes" at 6:38 pm. Our nurse was so surprised at how well I did she said she thinks our little babe would be arriving very shortly.
I pushed through 7 contractions and 18 pushes later, our little bundle arrived! We were able to do skin to skin immediately and I delivered the placenta before her cord was clamped/cut. Ve has been pretty interested in breastfeeding and only had a few issues with latching on, but it's gotten better with each feeding. Definitely see the lactation consulates because they are amazing! Ours was nick named "The Dairy Fairy" haha!
It was such a great experience and we are so in love with our little Ve!
EDD- 9/1 Birth- 9/3 Lilith "Lilly"Ann Ritchie was born 9/3 around 3 p.m. She was 7.7 lbs, 19.5 inches long.
I'd been told that I'd never have kids. Then, I was told I'd never go into labor on my own.
My water broke in bed around 12:30. Contractions started at 12:42. I was checked at l&d to be told I was only dilated to a 2, cervix still very high. I walked, bounced, walked, and walked more. I had no set in stone birth plan, mostly it was going to be in the moment decisions. After 6 hours of walking and contractions every 4 minutes, I asked for the epidural. It was painless and a wonderful decision, I could now focus on my breathing and focus. After 12 hours, the doctor told me we would be a csection due to Lilly's inability to make it thru contractions. The section was a world wind, terrifying and exciting at one time.
I'm in love with my princess, I've never been so happy.
Noah Christopher EDD: 9/3 & 9/18 Birthday: 9/3 Weight: 6 lbs 15 oz Length: 19 inches
I went in for my weekly NST that was also a follow up from my previous appointment when my doctor thought my fluids were low. After being checked by my doctor in office, I was sent to the hospital immediately to the maternal fetal medicine department to be checked out. Turned out my fluid was very low and was sent upstairs to L&D to be induced. Once I was settled in I was given cervidil that evening. The following morning I was 2.5 cm's and 50% effaced. I was then given pitocin to jump start labor. That sucked lol my plan was to go natural and med free but that's not what ended up happening. My body could handle the painful contractions, but my anxiety could not. I ended up having panic attacks after the contractions and decided an epidural just to calm myself down and it was an amazing choice. I ended up becoming 5 cm's dilated and 100% effaced after the epidural kicked in. I ended up needing to get a second one because it moved out of place and no longer worked. Once I got the new one everything was so much easier. I never continued to progress anymore and the baby never left -3 station so after 24 hours of being first induced mg doctor decided a C section was the best option. Noah was born at 8:57pm and he's the spitting image of his daddy. My perfect little ginger baby
I was induced at 37w3d due to cholestasis. I was called into labour and delivery sept.2nd at 730pm. Started piticin at 1130pm and was 5cm dilated. They broke my water at 530am and i received the epidural at 730am. I had all back labour and it was terrible lol. At 810am i decided to try to sleep since I had been awake for 24 hours, at 812am I had a crazy amount of pressure, started pushing at 817 and my baby girl was born at 825am! She's so petite but she is doing absolutely amazing. Mommy, daddy and big brother are in love!
Dylan Jacob EDD: September 10 Born: August 30 8 lbs 10 oz 22 inches long
Considering my mom was two weeks late with my brother and I, I was expecting to hit my due date or be late. Baby had other plans! On the morning of Aug. 30, I thought I may have lost my mucus plug after using the bathroom but wasn't entirely sure as it resembled mucusy discharge, tinged yellow, with no blood. It was, however, quite a bit and didn't resemble my usual discharge.
That night, my water broke at 9:45 p.m., just a small gush at first that wet my pants, then a huge gush after I made it to the bathroom. I was super thankful I had bought Depends at that point since my water didn't stop leaking until baby was born. We headed to the hospital and were admitted at 10:30; I was 3 cm dilated and almost fully effaced upon arrival. We watched a movie while I sat on the birthing ball and rotated my pelvis; at this point contractions were painless. Then I got in the tub as the contractions were beginning to get painful. I only lasted in the tub for 20 minutes before I decided to order the epidural (my plan was to labor as long as I could, then get the epidural). I was 6 cm when I got the epidural ... best decision ever! I didn't find it painful and it kicked in within 20 minutes. Then I was the most relaxed I've ever been! It was amazing. I took a nap for probably 4 hours, then was 10 cm when I woke up but baby wasn't fully in the birth canal yet and was turned sideways. We gave it another hour and then baby was ready and in position.
I pushed for an hour and then baby Dylan arrived at 11:29 a.m., weighing 8 lbs 10 oz and 22 inches long. It was the most incredible moment we've ever experienced!
Stepheny Darleen Janette Richards EDD 9/8 Born 9/3 Checked into hospital at 10 pm was given medicine to soften my cervix I was one centimeter I wanted to get started because my other daughters had been large was given contraction medicine at 530am I was a three then after more waiting a four I got the epidural at this point best thing I did my BP had been high so labored in the bed by 2:45pm I was an 8 I started pushing at 315pm she was born at 3:50 pm she's doing very well 8pounds 2 ounces 20 and half inches long
Induced due to high blood pressure. Had an epidural and spent the morning dialating, by a little before one it was time to start pushing (which is really difficult at first when you've had an epidural!) Pushed for about 30 minutes with the nurses and two pushed once the doctor got in the room and our girl arrived! We are so thankful for this beautiful baby girl!

My water naturally broke at 7 am.

Received epidural by 4 am and when it was time to push, I pushed for 14 minutes and he was here. We are totally in love and waiting for big sister Peyton to wake up at Mom Moms house so Daddy can go pick her up and she can meet her little brother.

Twins due 9/13
Born 8/29 at 38 weeks exactly!

Started my induction with medicine to ripen my cervix and after 24hrs of mild contractions that did not work I ended up having a c section. It wasn't my initial plan to even be induced but I totally went with the flow and did what was best for my little man and me. I couldn't be happier :x
Contractions started at 4:20am, arrived at hospital at 7:00am. She was born with me standing up in her amniotic sac with no pain relief. Couple of stitches needed but we are both doing well and settling in at home. Breast feeding really well.

Birth- 9/3
Lilith "Lilly"Ann Ritchie was born 9/3 around 3 p.m.

Induced due to high blood pressure. Had an epidural and spent the morning dialating, by a little before one it was time to start pushing (which is really difficult at first when you've had an epidural!)
Pushed for about 30 minutes with the nurses and two pushed once the doctor got in the room and our girl arrived!
We are so thankful for this beautiful baby girl!
