I have seen an uncircumcised penis but not up close if you know what I mean. It is such a difficult topic because really one can go either way for multiple reasons. I just felt how can I do this to my little boy? Why should I put him through pain when it's not necessary? I have heard there can be problems with the foreskin in some cases. If we run into that issue, we'll have to figure out a solution when/ if that time comes.
awww.....so not fair. LOL And this is why the erroneous "circumcise to make it pretty!" argument prevails. An erect uncut penis looks exactly like a cut penis. And...well...before your husbands, weren't many of the penises you saw already erect? *wink* *wink*
@skruhmin My 4 year old nephew went through a phase where he wanted to put his penis on everything: the Christmas tree, the dog, etc. He once went up to his mom with a tiny erection and said, look!!! It's bigger!! Do you like it?? I'm kind of hoping this is another girl, because I would never stop embarrassing my son with stories like that lol.
Oh my gosh the penis obsession in my house is unreal (from my 3-year old, not my husband). I'm kind of dreading when my 1-year old really starts the naked phase.

Oh also there was a GTKY a while ago asking about circumcision, ear piercing, and baptism and some were being so hypocritical. I wanted to call people out so bad!! I had to stop myself. People were like yes to circumcision and "if/when they ask to get their ears pierced or to get baptized then we'll do it." Why not the same for circumcision?
I can speak to that. I was one of those posters. As far as circumcision, I said no because I guess I had not honestly thought about it. Since DH is, I just assumed that we would do the same for a DS. And I do get that it should qualify under the personal decisions just like ear perching does, but I think that if DS decided to get circumcised later down the road for whatever reason, it would hurt a lot more than if my DD or DS decided at the age of 5 or 6 to get her/his ears pierced. As far as the baptizing goes, I personally feel like it is something that should be left up to them to decide. I have never been baptized and probably never will be although I do believe in god. However I did answer yes, because DH is catholic and it is something that is extremely important to him. I think its one of those things things in a relationship that comes down to compromise. We respect each others views and since I know how important it is to him, I will allow our children to be baptized as long as they grow up knowing that they are free to explore other religions/ideas if they choose to. DH has agreed that this is okay as well. He even did this when he was about 18. He went to many other churches and his faith led him back to the catholic church. I guess there are not black and white reasons to the answers.

My little cousin used to call his erection a magic wand... I have no idea where he got that from.. Maybe his dad.
@JLaVO888 I totally know what you mean about compromise. My side of the family (my dad mostly) really wants me to get my daughter baptized. He is very catholic and probably thinks she'll go to hell if she's not baptized. I don't consider myself very religious. MH sorta is but doesn't like organized religion (I still don't understand his views). That's a whole other issue but if MH was more into getting her baptized then I would be ok with it.

Oh my MIL would have kittens if we didn't baptize. Not that I let that influence my decision, my kids not hers. I'm also against the organized religion, hence me not wanting to be baptized. But I think it will make our kids better thinkers growing up in a house where they have seen compromise and respect for differing opinions. And I really hope that it makes them become open minded, accepting adults.
DH has been out of town since Tuesday and was supposed to come home tonight, but his flight just got cancelled, I didn't even know they did that anymore. Now he is only coming home tomorrow. ( I don't like it when DH is gone, oh well looks like another long night of binge watching Supernatural.

Sorry for the sucky flight cancelation. My DH LOVES Supernatural. He wants so badly to name our son Castiel. I'm being nice and letting him have it for a middle name.

I love making chili rellenos, which you can really only make the best when the chili has never been frozen. Oh and the smell of roasting green chili is pure heaven and you can smell it anywhere you go in NM during August/September.

I am not a coffee drinker but I love chai tea. So I love to go to Starbucks in the fall and get chai tea with pumpkin flavoring. Its the only time all year that I will step foot in a Starbucks.
Ds had a bris since dh is jewish. It was important to him and his family. Lol I am hoping the next one is a girl so we don't have to go through that again. I would do it again if the next is a boy for the same reasons.

Yeah we actually started going up to La Junta area for our chili instead of Hatch because our parents are from Raton which is on the eastern NM, CO state line and it was closer. We usually get about 5-10 bags for the whole extended family and have a chili peeling party.

I'm sure we are driving everyone nuts with our chili obsession right now. But yes, I love peeling chilis and since I have been doing it my whole life it never burns my hands unless its out of this world hot chili.

Eh screw 'em. If they haven't tried them, they're missing out. That's my favorite thing about farmers markets and pumpkin farms around here. I might need to ask my mother in law to make some because holy crap!

DH and I went to Pagosa Springs for our honeymoon last October. We went to a small local brewery that grew their own pumpkins and made fresh pumpkin beer with them. It was the best pumpkin beer I have had. They did say that every batch comes our different due to the ripness of the pumpkins.

Oh my gosh pumpkin beer. Do you remember which brewery? (Not that it would matter since there are so many in Colorado). I've actually never been to Pagosa - came close when we went to Ouray this past spring. Ummmm gorgeous!!

It was actually called Pagosa Brewing Co. They always have rotating beers, hardly any they keep for more than a season. They let their employees come up with their own brews!
Supernatural is amazing! DH likes Jensen for a boy name, but I just can't name my son after someone I regularly fantasize about. Can't do it.
Haha this is great. With Castiel I feel like NO ONE would know this name except for Supernatural fans. I can;t bring my self to name my child after a TV show character.
Northern CO peeps, have you guys been to Anderson Farms in Erie? (I think that's where it is). We love going there but we missed it last year.
I have heard of it but never gone. There was one in Albuquerque called Wagner Farms. I think its the same type concept. The kids get to pick a pumpkin, an apple, go through a corn maze, go for a hay ride and pet farm animals. It's great. We used to take our daycare kiddos there.

I can, under other circumstances. Ironically, the only boy name that I like is Sam, but it would not be after Sam Winchester. On the other hand, if we ever get a boy dog, he's totally going to be named Winchester lol

Sam is a really cute name and is common enough that it cannot be tied directly to the show. No one would ever assume that you named DS after Sam Winchester. Castiel however screams Supernatural.
