I basically just "love it’d" and nodded my head thru the past 4 pages of this thread. Yesterday I was too sick to stand looking at me screen for more than a minute at a time, and Tuesdays are my crazy day - I volunteer at a breastfeeding support thing, and hailing my puking ass and three kids to go help a bunch of other hormonal, weepy mamas with crying babies is just so effing draining right now. I feel like I'm getting burnt out. I mean, I do love it too, but on days like today I just want to be like "not it!" But all except one of the other volunteers that we started with 3y ago have flaked out, so if I don't show up she's solo. It happens occasionally (like when we had a bout with HFMD come thru my house and we couldn't go), but it sucks being the only one. We were slammed today too, and my kids were fussy. We really need more volunteers but nobody wants to step up.

While I mostly agree with you, I think that in 9 out of 10 cases people asking repeat questions are either politely guided to an existing post or have their questions answered within their new post. I don't think anyone is running anyone else off by any means, people just use these types of threads to express their frustrations with the drive-by questions that it seems the OP only sometimes comes back to. But you are definitely right in trying to create a more inclusive environment and I'll try to dial back the snark a little

My butt had been glued to the couch for weeks now. I'm just so tired and in the last week or so m/s has really kicked in. I have Tues and Weds off while DH is at work. I will get more done in the hour before he gets home than I will accomplish the whole other 9 hours he is gone just so I don't look like a complete lazy bum when he walks through the door.

@Hullabaloo2016 I do the same thing! When my husband sends me a "on my way" text it's a mad dash to get stuff around the house done/act like I'm getting dinner ready. What's worse is that he's working 12 hour days at work, I'm only working my usual 8, and he's still way more useful around the house lately. But he gets it. He's awesome.

I made the mistake of stepping on the scale today. I have gained 5 lbs so far. What is the deal? I'm really not eating that differently, in fact I have been healthier more salads etc, but the weight just keeps adding on. I gained a ton with ds and it makes me nervous I am going to have a repeat of that pregnancy. Ugh! Lol my boobs are at least a cup size bigger already though so I am holding out that most of the weight went there.

If you haven't tried eating frozen blueberries, you're seriously missing out.
AND an added bonus: try putting said frozen blueberries in a bowl and adding some milk. The milk becomes frozen-ish and the whole things becomes a delicious slushy-like bowl of happiness. 8->

So I had my first appointment yesterday! Everything went well and little bean was looking good . The only thing is my OB decided to give me my EDD off of my LMP even though I know exactly when I ovulated. Little bean also measured a little "behind" (5 days) which I expected since I ovulated on CD 19. She said if it's within 5 days she'll go off LMP. Sooo what that means is I'm further along than I thought! 9 weeks today. It's like I skipped a week lol.
So I had my first appointment yesterday! Everything went well and little bean was looking good . There are lots of things you can do - #1- find out all friends who are friends with her. Create a private group that's invite only and where they can't share your info. Invite everyone you want to share this news with- if you can't trust them not to tell her then don't invite them. Block her. Post this type of news only to this group. Enjoy life.

So I am officially dumping my OB - today was the last effing straw.
I had a disaster of an appointment last Tuesday at which I was supposed to get an ultrasound (to rule out ectopic, which I have history of), waited for over an hour to see anyone and then did not get an US because the tech left due to the receptionist not actually scheduling it after SHE suggested it when I made the appointment. While this was super frustrating, mistakes happen so I stewed in my anger for a bit and got over it.
Strike 2 was being told I'd get the results from my blood draw on Monday. Called the nurse's line on Monday afternoon because I hadn't heard anything, left a message (where they promise to return calls by EOD if you call before 4) and nothing. So I called again yesterday. Left another message. Nothing. STILL don't know the results of my beta tests that I had done last Tuesday and Thursday.
While at my blood draw on Thursday, I specifically asked what I needed for the US that they ordered through the imaging department at the hospital because it was more convenient for me and I was told I just needed to call and make the appointment, that they already sent the order. Guess who didn't have an order for her US appointment that was supposed to be this morning? This girl. Guess whose office is supposed to open at 8 but no one was answering the phones to fax an order? Yup, still me.
Maybe my expectations are too high, but as someone that already has a hard time getting excited about being pregnant because of previous loss and a 0% pregnancy success rate this is really just flat out ruining it for me. Not to mention that an ectopic pregnancy is you know, potentially lethal. So, yeah was hoping to eliminate one stressor by ruling that out but noooooo.
Also I have stupid HMO insurance that I barely understand how to use so I can't just flat out pick a new doctor. I found one in my medical group that is close, so I am going to call today to have it switched to her.
Bad start to the day. AND I took my stupid lunch at the beginning of the day for nothing so now I have to work through lunch. Wahhhhh pity party of one over here at my desk today lol.

Yeah your OB sounds shitty, mine seems to have their shit together, they always have a nurse hotline open during business hours, the nurses told me if I get scared I should call, and I had my blood tests done last Tuesday and Thursday and was able to get through to them both days to find out the results. You definitely don't need that kind of stress and BS throughout your pregnancy. I say ditch them for someone who has their act together.

Definitely get a new OB. That is not ok. I'm sorry you're having so many issues. If you can, I would contact their business office and complain - give them your history and tell them why this is unacceptable.

@flowerpower5838 I switched offices with this pregnancy after having a horrid experience with my MC. I LOVE my new place, they are on top of things and much smaller where i feel like they actually know me. Good lUck!
Flowerpower I'm p'oed for you! I had several horrible things go wrong with my OB and their office last pregnancy (including them forgetting to put my 20 week scan on their schedule so when we arrived - with our appointment card the office lady filled out for me - they said, well I guess we can try and squeeze you in).

Also I have stupid HMO insurance that I barely understand how to use so I can't just flat out pick a new doctor. I found one in my medical group that is close, so I am going to call today to have it switched to her.
Bad start to the day. AND I took my stupid lunch at the beginning of the day for nothing so now I have to work through lunch. Wahhhhh pity party of one over here at my desk today lol.
