Two Week Wait

I am in my 2WW and I am assuming I am on day 11DPO after having my sonogram and trigger shot . The past few nights I have been having a TON of Vivid dreams each night and night sweats! has any one else experienced this? Did it end with a BFP or BFN? I feel i should wait a little longer to test to avoid a false negative.

I was a all sorts of sweaty this AM when I woke up and I'm in the WTO group.

I second the above, try not to read more into to any of the things you may be going through. Could just be a reaction to the hormone or whatever they gave you to get things moving.

Sorry, I know that does not help, but I would just chalk it up to the injections and try not to over analyze it.

@kristiea omg is everyone out to get me today!?!? no it is not, i could very well be experiencing these things ant not be pregnant. I do not think i am wrong by asking if anyone experienced these type of symptoms!

OMG YES!!!

Last night I dreamt that our car drove itself out of control into someone's house, and ended up in this little girl's room. I ran after it, and strangely, the girl's dad was not mad at me, and just started figuring out how to fix the wall. But also strangely, I couldn't find a big hole in the wall where the car had smashed through. We were trying to see if we could back it out the bedroom door, but the door was too narrow. And the dad seemed okay with everything.

Anyhow, I woke up, and my H said the car represented our choice to become parents and the little girl represented our future baby. The car seemed a little out of control, but when I arrived at the house, I could find no evidence of destruction. He said that represented the notion that although ttc is scary, everything will be okay.

I also recently dreamt I had a tulip bulb hanging off my vag. So strange!!

I'm at the tail end of the TWW. I'm not testing until after AF is due. I Also wake up hot. And I wonder if that's affecting my temps.

Note: I'm NOT symptom-spotting in retelling these dreams. But I am having some crazy vivid dreams!

So I'm sure you read somewhere that night sweats & vivid dreams can be a sign of early pregnancy.

Which by MFing definition means other folks have experienced these things.

I would check out what the side effects are of whatever they gave you for the trigger shot...some medications can stay in your system for awhile.

so would i be wrong in asking if Cramps, Fatigue and nausea are an early sign of pregnancy or of your period? its a general question! and yes you have missed something i posted this in another board which i guess was the incorrect one and i got rude comments and so i was told to post here and i am getting the same treatment. Ive never see women be so rude to other women who are reaching out to them for their feed back. i do not understand the sarcastic Memes and comments. Its hurtful ladies, i just think if you think my question is dumb then just dont reply.

Some trigger shots are HCG based and will give you a false + HPT. Many women will test out their trigger shot, meaning will take a pregnancy test every day, or every other day till it is negative. So when you get a positive HPT, then you know it is a embryo and not the trigger shot still in your test.

You are 13 DPT, when is your RE wanted you to test?

So you've been a member since March and haven't lurked any to see that we do not encourage symptom spotting? It very much more rude to stroll up into a community that has set social norms and ignore them for your own gain.

If you want to symptom spot, go a head but the appropriate place is in the TWW under R/R/C.

I have been having weird dreams and night sweats in the 2WW, but I chalk this up to being really excited and anxious about TTC. No one's out to get you, but we do try not to symptom spot. You'll drive yourself crazy, like Justin Timberlake c. 1999. I hope someone remembers this, or Imma feel old.

Ok, 3 things:

1. Basically, any early pg symptoms are also pre-AF symptoms. This is why we don't encourage symptom spotting here. Yes, I'm sure someone has had these symptoms and gotten a BFP, also, I'm sure someone has had these symptoms and gotten a BFN.

2. If you think you could be pregnant. TEST. We can't tell you anything of any value for the question you are asking. If you have symptoms of PG, you can turn a test +.

3. This community is very supportive and we use memes and gifs to entertain ourselves during the crazy amounts of "am I pg" questions and duplicate posts. Chillax and don't take things so seriously.

I think you are absolutely right; dreams can be a peek into your psyche. I've been thinking about ttc constantly, so I'm not surprised I'm having some weird dreams at all. I find them interesting, actually. (I love trying to interpret dreams, although I'm not a psychiatrist or anything like that!)

I'm not sure how long you have been using these boards or any of that, but you should know that part of the problem is that the "am I pregnant" or "could i be Pregnant" or "what does this symptom mean" question get asked VERY frequently.

It gets old for some of the people who have been LONG time members to read these questions/posts.

I don't think anybody is trying to intentionally be unsupportive but cramps, fatigue and nausea are ALL also PMS symptoms. They could also all be related to something completely different. Could be your lunch or dinner or breakfast giving you all of those symptoms.

I would imagine its HIGHLY possible the symptoms you are experiencing could be related to the injection you received, as I mentioned in my first comment. You may want to call the dr and ask them about that.

MamaBish My feeling is the OP said, "Hey I"m experiencing this. Is anyone else?" I happen to have had a crazy vivid dream last night that I'm still thinking about at work while I eat my lunch. So I wanted to talk about it, too. I was happy to see the thread.

But let's be honest--people aren't asking questions to get a Capital A "answer." They are asking because they have a desire to *talk* about it. And that's what discussion boards should be for--a place to vent, share, discuss, etc. But if the community here wants to keep the first page of discussions threads limited, I get that, too. The community should decide. My personal opinion, however, is that too many people are told to go lurk more when in reality, they probably have lurked, they just want to interact. I think there should be a space for that. Perhaps that is the TWW threads, but there's not a lot of interacting there beyond comments directed to one or two people per day.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that I think people want to talk, interact and share. This is a crazy, intense, beautiful, mystifying, and also frustrating experience. Talking it out keeps us sane! I want to be able to do that here, that is all.

Could be a lot of things. Could be that it's summer and hot. Could be you were tired so you slept a little deeper. Could be because Mecury is in retrograde (I don't know if it is or even what that is). Could be that your dh laid closer to you and his body heat caused you to be warmer. Could be the trigger shot. Could be that shrimp taco you ate for lunch. You get where I'm going. The problem with very early symptoms is that it could be anything and the only reason you notice them now is because you are TTC. Think of all the other times you had vivid dreams or night sweats, did you think you were pregnant then?

Edit to add, please don't DD here like you did in the other post, it's super rude.

Has there ever been a single person on Earth that has NEVER had a vivid dream or night sweats? I have vivid dreams and night sweats during my luteal phase all the time. I'm guessing this is because my basal body temperature is higher in the last half of my cycle. (Spoiler: I've NEVER been pregnant. Since that was my experience that MUST mean it applies to everyone else.... Oh wait...)

This was a roundabout way of asking if you could be pregnant. There's no point in denying that! Come on now... Don't skip in here, ignoring the board guidelines, and then get upset when people point that out.

ETA: fix typo. Last time I checked there was no such thing as a "basal boy temperature". Stupid mobile.

@vinerie yes i agree... i do not think i am symptom spotting because it happend a few nights in a row. i was not asking to be drenching in sweat and vivid dreams about a friend who over dosed by any means!

As a fellow symptom spotter, saying it happened a few nights in a row is still symptom spotting. And nobody ever said you asked for horrible dreams so not sure what that has to do with anything. No one asks for symptoms, they just happen and symptom spotting means that you are attributing odd things your body does to being KU.

I DO hope you are pregnant, and I DO hope those were symptoms, but the only way to know is to test, and even then, you won't know 100% if it the sweats and dreams had anything to do with being pg.

Then start a GTKY thread to talk about crazy dreams. Don't try to cloak a "could I be pregnant?!?!?" question this way. And the OP was talking about when to test given these symptoms. It is 100% symptom spotting.

And she's not being told to just lurk. Multiple people have said this belongs in the daily TWW and WTO threads. That is where this board talks about symptoms, charts, and when to test.

In addition to discouraging a behavior that can drive people crazy, this approach has an organizational purpose. Can you imagine how cluttered this board would get if EVERYONE started their own thread to talk about symptoms? All the threads where people need REAL support (e.g., loss threads) would get buried.

I think if anything, night sweats and vivid dreams are more related to your mind--i.e. they are psychological in nature--than your reproductive system. Your unconscious is dealing with TTC and that is impacting your sleep.

Never heard of either of these as a pregnancy symptom.

Just because someone doesn't say, "Am I pregnant?" Doesn't mean they didn't ask.

It's pretty easy to read between the lines for most folks. That's why great writers don't write like this:

John knew he was going to get run over by a car when he walked across the street.

And write:

A great sense of dread filled John as he stared at the asphalt before him. The cars zoomed by unaware of his presence, continuing on to their destination. But as John stepped off the curb, he knew he was done for.

They mean exactly the same thing. One is just cleverly shielded. (And might I add, very well written.
