Corinne Celeste graced us with her presence this morning (7/29 and 38.4 weeks) when my water broke while asleep at 3:30 in the morning. Got to labor and delivery at 5.... Was checked at 2cm and 75%.... Within the hour I was 9cm. This chick doesn't mess around! 40 minutes of pushing and zero pain meds, I finally got to meet my sweet girl at 9:32... And pull her out myself which was THE COOLEST. A mere 4 and a half hours later! We are SO happy and in love with her! :x
Jimmy Lee Ruttman made his debut this morning at 6:43am, weighing in at 5lbs 15oz, measuring 18.5"! 2.2 weeks early but mostly healthy and stable Will try to post a picture of my little stud as soon I figure out how!
Aria Alyse entered the world on 7/27 @ 5:46 pm via C-section after induction failed to progress. She was 7lbs 3oz and 20 inches of perfection! We are both doing great and get to go home tomorrow! I am so in love and can't believe I am this angel's mommy!
Tessa Jade made her appearance at 39 weeks on 7/29/15 at 11:35am via scheduled c section. 6lb14oz 19.5 inches, healthy and perfect in every way! So far she's been nursing like a champ. Big sister and big brother are loving her to pieces.
Well I went into my 38 week doctor's appointment on Tuesday. My BP was high so I was sent for monitoring. Little did I know that 4 hours later the single, most wonderful thing would enter my life. Emmalyn Adell was born via c section 7/28/15 at 4:38 pm. She weighed 7lbs 7 oz. she is perfect.
Team green with baby #3- It's a boy! Charles Paul arrived yesterday (7/29) at 10:52am via scheduled c-section due to placenta previa. Charlie was born at 36w6d and needs a little help breathing from the NICU, but otherwise is doing great - 7lbs, 14oz and 21.5 inches. Today breathing on his own but now staying in NICU to figure out how to eat. Just nursed him for the first time a few hours ago!
Brandon Gregory born 7/30/15 at 1:01pm at 39w3d. Induced the night before due to high BP w/headache. Started pitocin at 9:40pm, epidural at 8:15am, started pushing at 12:15. 7lbs13oz 20 inches. Hubby and I are over the moon!
Vivian Rosario Joan born 7/29/15 at 4:16 am. 7lbs 2oz 19.5 inches. Original due date 8/6/15. Born at 38.6 weeks. Contractions started on their own around 9:15 pm by 4:10 am started pushing, 3-4 pushes and she was out! And I also can't seem to attach a photo, but believe me, she's beautiful!
Tuesday 7/28 I started having contractions 10 minutes apart at 6:30 am. At 5 pm they got intense and closer together. Went to the hospital at 11:30 was was told to walk for two hours. At 2:30 I was 4 cm. an hour later I was 7cm. At 5:45 am Sophia Gabriella was born at 39 weeks and 1 day. 5lbs 11oz and 18 in. We are obsessed! She's a little thing but absolutely gorgeous!!
David James III born July 22 , 2015 1727 6lb 15.5 oz 20 inches long. Born at 37w 2d. SROM 7/21 at 845. Labor induced with cervadil and pit. I was ready to give in to an epidural bit stuck it out with only 2 dosea of fentanyl over >24 hrs. Baby did make a pit stop at NICU but everything checked out. Bilirubin ended up being high and he spent a day in the isolette. We were discharged Saturday and the Monday his bilirubin level was elevated again so he is on a blanket at home and is due for more blood work tomorrow.
Audrey Violet joined our family at 12:28 am on July 29. She surprised us all with how quickly she came, but we are doing great! I learned what contractions feel like, and discovered my husband can drive quite fast when needed. I also found out what joy there is in feeling one's child make it through the birth canal. So cool! She is the picture of beauty and peace, and we are thrilled! (Although, DS is more thrilled by the clock in our hospital room...) He will be such a good brother.
Reyna Maxine arrived on 7/29 at 1237. She weighed 6#14 oz and is 21.5 long. She had a tied tongue which was clipped today. She's perfect and totally adored by her big sisters!!! Well and us of course!
Cooper James born 9 days early, 7/28/15, 8lbs, 20 inches. I moved my weekly doctor appointment up by 1 day due to a back ache since Sunday and light spotting. Surprise! I was already 4cm dilated and having back labor due to him facing the wrong direction. My first epidural failed leaving me to have a natural labor until they finally administered my second epidural at 9.5cms. They could not flip him and delivered sideways, his shoulders were caught briefly but they were able to get him out. He was completely worth all the pain. I do not see how anyone does an all natural labor, more power to you!!! And the old wives tale about heartburn and hair was definitely true for us!
Caleb Lucien, July 28, 7:18am, 6 lbs 11 oz, 19 1/2" long. We were scheduled for a c-section on August 5, but Caleb decided that he couldn't wait to meet us! My water broke at 2:15am on Tuesday morning, and we are headed home from the hospital today! :-)
Brody William born at 9:49am weighing 8lbs 11oz at 38 weeks. He was 20.5 inches long. I was induced at 11:30pm with pitocin as I was already 3cm when I went in for scheduled induction. He was born 10 hours later!! Got an epidural at 4:30am best thing ever. We are doing great and can't believe he is a week old already!
At my ultrasound appointment on Wednesday they found that the baby didn't have enough amniotic fluid so they rushed me to labor and delivery to induce. It turned out I'd been in labor for a while already though and was dilated to 3cm. They started me on pitocin at 11:00am and a few hours later I was between 9-10 cm. Once they got me into position to push, his heart rate dropped really suddenly and wouldn't go up. The umbilical cord was blocking his way out and they couldn't move it. Everything went from fine to us being rushed into OR for an emergency c section. Vicente was born around 4:00pm and is 20.5 inches long, weighs 6 pounds and 15 ounces, and is completely healthy and doing great!
Daya Aldene was born 7/31 at 4:25pm after my water broke on 7/29 at 10:30am. Original due date was 8/10 making her 38w4d at delivery. She's 7lb 3oz, 20 inches long. It was a long and difficult road but I'm SO happy that in the end she is totally healthy and I was able to avoid a csection. Other than her, my crowning achievement was being told by every dr in the room (there were three - teaching hospital) that I was by far the best pusher they had ever seen in a first time mom. My rectum is paying the price. ">
So......went in for elevated pressures on Saturday , July 25th (154/94). Pressures had been 110's/70's most of the time otherwise. Blood pressure got under control without medication during observation, but sugars were up as I had been having an increasingly difficult time keeping them diet controlled in the last 2-3 weeks.
Specialist decided to do an ultrasound to check size and orientation in case she decided to induce. Lady bug's abdomen was estimated at 45 weeks (I was 35w 5d) and baby had managed to turn transverse/oblique. Specialist decided it was time to deliver via c-section.
I was in the OR within 6 hours. I had been stockpiling fluid. Surgeon said she'd never seen anything like it. Baby was head down and pulled out by her feet...
Taylor was born on July 27th at 9:06 pm weighing 9lbs 10oz and measuring 21.5 inches long. Yes, you read right. 9lbs 10oz and 21.5 in at 35w 5d. We know dates were right because I had two ultrasounds before 8 weeks and both measured spot on with lmp.
She is doing famously. Not one single moment spent in NICU. She had a little grunting for a couple hours after birth but respiratory is great. Labs are perfect. Sugars are good and stable. She's latching and eating well. She never ceases to impress me.
We were discharged on post op day 3 and she continues to thrive.
Jude Andrew Collins was born at 39+2 on July 30 at 7:58am. 8 lb, 2 ounces of deliciousness! We're getting discharged from the hospital this morning and big sister and big brother are excited to have Little home.
Born 26th July, due 5th August. Didn't have any pain till 11pm when contractions started, by 1130 was on the way to the hospital at 2minutes apart. We were 5cm dilated when the nurse checked and ten minutes later at 12:49am little rohan Christopher made his speedy entrance into our lives weighing 6 pound 8.
"I've been a mother for three years now, but today, I became a father as well. When I chose to bring you into this world I did so knowing 110% your biological father had told us he wanted no part in a child's life. I did so knowing that if I chose your life I would be choosing to lose someone I spent so much of my life with. I did so knowing it would be just the three of us with your big brother. I did so knowing the fact that your father didn't want to be a man for you may one day cause you pain or confusion. But I did so knowing that I would give you everything I could to take on both roles and step up for the both of us. I did so because I loved you way before I saw your tiny face. I did so because I knew you would make our lives so much more complete. You have already done that. You complete our family. You complete us and you have made me a better person just by existing. I know a lot of mothers say they thought they were meant to teach their children but ended up being taught so many more lessons by them, but you really have. You have taught me more in the nine months leading up to your first breath then many people could teach another in a lifetime. Today I became a father as well as the mother I already was and I am so in love and I am so grateful and I am so blessed for every minute I get to spend with you and for every lesson big or small that you throw my way."
I guess the full moon went a little too crazy! Went for a routine ultrasound at 36+4 and was told the cord pressure was too high and it was time for baby! Got induced around 3pm, baby was not enjoying contractions and stress got too high, went in for a C section and later welcomed Kannon James at exactly 1am on August 1st!
Ciara Sky 8/1 @ 11:46am 6lbs 5oz, 17.5 inches. Went to my 37 week appt on Friday got sent to L&D due to high BP. Ended up starting induction later that night.
Rose Elizabeth was born 7/14 at 4 lbs 12.5 oz. Induced at 37 +3 due to protein in the urine, and the fact that she was IUGR (4% range). She's doing great and is now over 5 lbs!
Riley Marie born August 2nd at 7:13 am. Water broke on its own at 1:45 am. 6.3 pounds, 20 inches long. Original due date was August 5th. Team Green. So happy to finally meet her!
August Alexander born 7/30 weighing 6lbs 12oz at 39+1.. I was induced at 3:30 am labored until 8:30pm.. Baby was stuck in my pelvis and cervix too swollen to continue to dilate.. He was born via c section at 8:58pm.. We love him more thank anything.:)
Carys Nora was born on August 2, 2015 at 11:00am. She is 8lbs9oz and 22" long. Her due date was August 6th. Attempted VBA2C, which ended up as a c-section after 30hrs of labor. Mama and baby are both healthy and doing well!
Baby Luke William due 8/16 born 8/3. 5 lb, 15.5 oz, 20 in long. Natural non medicated delivery. Went to L&D at 3 am; my sweet baby boy made his debut 3 hours later at 6:21 am. Madly and completely in love with him!!!
